Adding Multiple Signatures before Saving

Searching for answers regarding Adobe Live Cycle.  Taught myself how to use it the other day and I created the attached form.  These are the requests in regards to the digital signatures:
·        When applying digital signature it prompts for Save As.  Is it possible to sign multiple times and save the “signed” copy over the original?
·        Are there any options with the e-signature that would allow for the same person to “sign” in multiple locations without having to save the document?  For our application it is important that the document be saved with the current name.  Changing the filename or folder will not work for us.
I have searched high and low to find the answer to this and I’m raising my white flag in hopes that you may be able to help or point me to the right place.
I greatly appreciate any feedback you can provide.
All the best,
Angie

You must save the PDF after each signature.  Just like any "save" if you use the same filename you overwrite the original, but in the case of a digitally signed PDF this is desirable behaviour.  A signed PDF maintains a trail (for lack of a better term) of the various states of the document at each signature (see attached screen shot).  You can use the signature pane in Reader or Acrobat to view what the document looked like at the time each signature was applied ("Click to view this version").
You can also quickly see the overall status of the signed document from the blue "document status" bar displayed at the top of the document.
Hope this helps.

  • Adding multiple signatures in one interactive form

Hi, I'm creating an insertion form for a client. THey have one area under credit card info that has a signature line, and another spot at the bottom of the form that has another field for a signature.
When I bring the PDF into acrobat Pro and do the form wizard, it only makes one of these boxes have the red tag/signature look to insert a digital signature. My clients wants both signature boxes to have this feature.
I can not figure out how to do this. please help.

After you've added the form fields, including the signature fields and have the form working like it should, it needs to be Reader-enabled in Acrobat. How this is done depends on which version of Acrobat you're using. This thread has more information: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4896660
This enabling really should be done by your client with their licensed version of Acrobat Pro, not yours. It's an Acrobat licensing issue, actually several issues.
In any case, the resulting file is a PDF, the same as what you're working with now.
Another thing to consider is that if the form is intended to be used by the general public, most won't have any experience with using digital signatures. An alternative is to use Adobe's new EchoSign service, which does not use digital signature fields but instead uses an electronic signature (e-sig) process which does not rely on the form being Reader-enabled, so there are no Acrobat licensing issues. But there is a fee associated with the EchoSign service. Digital/Electronic signatures are not free.
Then there are legal issues that need to be considered. EchoSign may have an advantage here, at least over the use of self-signed certificates as are most commonly used with digital signature fields. Even if I knew more details about the form and intended workflow, I can't provide you any specific advice about this.

  • Adding multiple signatures

I can't add additional signatures to my document. I have read all of the threads and tried the solutions but none work. I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro 8 and have a document that requires a signature from the author and two approving signatures. I save the word document as a PDF then click certify with visible signature. I place the signature and sign, selecting "form fill in and digital signatures" under permitted changes after certifying. I then save the document and send it to the first approving official. When he clicks on the sign menu all options none of the options work except "validate all signatures" and "getting started with digital signatures" he has pro version 8 as well. Any thoughts

If the Version 9 does not work for you, you could enlist a third-party digital signature provider to drag and drop signature fields into your PDFs and even create templates.
    SIGNiX is a good option.

  • In Photo Stream, how add comments to multiple pictures before sending to iCloud?

When you have multiple photos in your Camera Roll that you want to send to subscribers via an iCloud Photo Stream, it seems that you can only add a comment to the first one of those photos before you post them all to iCloud.  Am I missing something?  I know you can add comments to multiple pictures once they're on iCloud as part of a Photo Stream, but I'd like to have the option of adding multiple comments before I post them.

    Open Photo Stream.
    Tap Select
Tap the pictures you want to save and a check mark will appear on each.
    Tap Save
Choose either camera roll, or you can even create a new folder at this point

  • Multiple Signatures Adobe Pro

We are having a problem adding multiple signatures to our PDF using Adobe Pro, when we used version 6 or 7 we do not have any problems.  Is there a new process in added multiple signature?

    Hi crclaunch,
Let's start with which version of Acrobat Pro are you using? Next, tell me a little about the PDF file you are trying to sign, does it have existing signature fields and if you select the File > Properties menu item , then select the Security tab are there any restrictions? Finally, since you said "we are having" I presume there are multiple users in play, are they all using Acrobat or are some of them using Reader?
    Thanks,
    Steve

  • Added a signature, all comments got erased!

I added a signature to my eBook in Acrobat 11.0.03 for Mac. The eBook had about 20-30 hours of work in terms of comments. Adding a signature and saving the document on top of the original caused all the comments to be erased! This is a pretty ridiculous bug.
Does anyone know how I can restore to a previous version of this document (the versions item under the file menu is greyed out).

They were a combination of strikethroughs, attachments, highlighted text with pop-up comments, basically all the different types of markups that exist.
Look at the image to see how I know the comments were all erased.
Actually, I just clicked the green bar that says "Signature field detected" even though there is not signature field (this is a known bug in Acrobat 11.0.03). Then I just put a signature on the cover page, hoping the green bar would go away. Doing this created another copy of the document, with the same filename and the suffix "signed", and so I just rename that new file to overwrite the unsigned one, and when I went to reopen it, all my comments were gone.
    Please

  • Multiple Digital Signatures in Adobe Acrobat XI - PDF locks after first signature is saved

I am working with a fillable pdf that was set up by an administrator to have multiple DIGITAL ID/SIGNATURES inputted, i.e. it does not allow images of signatures or text; when you click on the signature field, it ONLY prompts the insertion of a Digital ID. This form requires multiple signatures and editing/text from diverse people. I need to sign it and then circulate it to these other people. For some reason, when I insert the first digital ID and save it, the pdf becomes locked - it is no longer fillable, and no one else can edit or even insert their own signatures. What can I do to allow editing/additional signatures to be inputted after putting in my signature and saving the document? PLEASE HELP.

I don't know where I could post it...Could you please tell me how I might check if signature fields are set to "read only" or not? I have been looking through this pdf for so long and I don't even see the option to do that. When I click on the signature field, it just prompts me to insert the digital signature...there isn't much information displayed at all.

  • Multiple signatures in a shared review.

    Greetings,
I am a tech writer working at an engineering company. I am driving the company toward a digital sign off process for our documentation, and I am using the shared review system in Acrobat Pro X to facilitate this process. These reviews involve 10+ people, and, in the past, the system that was used was to have a single sign off sheet with multiple lines for each representative to sign from their department. I am trying to integrate a similar process into the shared review by adding a modified version of the original sign off sheet into the shared review document that everyone can then sign electronically.
I want to use the signing futures native to acrobat and reader, but I am aware that having multiple signatures on a document is a problem. I don't understand why this feature is not possible in this software. It seems so obvious. Lot's of people have to review it, so lots of people have to sign it.
My Question: is there a workaround that will allow me to do this. I am aware that the stamp tool will allow me to create a custom stamp out of my hand signature, but that method does not time stamp and date it. Having everyone do a timed and dated approval stamp AND a hand signature stamp seems messy and rife with possible errors since most of the people who will be doing this have never used this system before.
Thank you for any thoughts or ideas.

Signature appearance ("stamp" in Test Screen Name's language) in my opinion does have a value. When it is properly generated and applied it does convey information about the signer, time, location, reason, etc. If it weren't in the signature appearance, the document's reader would have to go to Signature Properties dialog to find all these bits of information, and some of them may not even be there if the signature appearance is highly customized. Test Screen Name is totally correct when saying that inexperienced digital signatures consumers may confuse the location of a signature appearance with the part of the document to which the signature allegedly applies.
PDF does allow the signers to sign portions of a document in a limited way. When the first signer signs a document, the signature covers the complete document. When document is modified and more content is added to it and the second signer signs the document, the second signature also covers the complete document but the first signature still covers only the part of the document before any modification was applied. In this case the signature appearance may be indicative of which part of the document this signature covers.
Actually, PDF specification provides for signatures covering only a part of the document (by controlling the /ByteRange entry). It is just that Acrobat (and AFAIK other PDF producers) do not have this functionality.

  • Net value of sales order before saving in VA01

    Hi there,
I'm currently working with the transaction VOFM whereby i need to get the <b>net value</b> of the current sales order in order to compare with a deposit value which the customer has made.
a condition type is activated whenever the net value is < the deposit which the customer makes,i.e when sy-subrc EQ 0.
My problem is that the routine in VOFM(where i have added my code),is triggered before i save the order, hence all i get as net value is always 0.00. That routine is again triggered after i save as well, but it doesnt work as i expected even if i get the net value then.
I have in fact used the routine USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP of include MV45AFZZ, where i could get the net value from the field XVBAK-NETWR <b>after saving the order</b>.
i thought that now it gets the right value, it'l work as expected but the fact that the VOFM routine is triggered before saving(hence net value 0.00), the condition type doesn't change after i save.
Hence, my condition type is not being applied properly because the condition type is being activated already when it get the net value 0.00.
Can anyone please tell me if there is a way to get the net value before saving?
    Thanks for your help.
    Regards,
    Meenakshi

    Hi,
I have in fact used export flag to memory in FORM USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP from which i get the net value after saving.
In fact, i have figured out the problem but still cannot solve it.
What happens i that the VOFM routine is triggered more than once, hoewever, the first time it is triggered, i still havent got that net value. In this pass, when the routine ends, sy-subrc eq 0. Upon the next pass to the VOFM routine, i set sy-subrc to 4(condition type not activated), however the result is wrong. The condition type is activated still.
if i do the contrary, i.e set sy-subrc to 4 on the first pass to VOFM routine and then set sy-subrc to 0 second time(condition type needs be activated), the condition type is not activated.
what i dont understand is why the VOFM routine is only keeping the initial value of sy-subrc?Any ideas?
Also, am doing my validations and setting sy-subrc in the form kobev_900.
Am not using the form kobed_900 at all. Does this make a difference?
Also, how can i do the validation only when repricing was called form SAVE process? How do i put the condition?
    Thanks for the help.

  • Check on vendor email address change before saving PO

    Hi All,
I need to check Is there any change in Vendor Email address in PO before
saving. I am trying to find userexits.
I found some like EXIT_SAPMM06E_012, But here I am not getting complete
    Vendor address...
Req: I am maintaing multiple email address for Vendor at PO header level.
Here is the path:  PO Header --> Address tab --> Click on Address Details
--> Here we can maintain(Insert/ Delete/Change) multiple e mail address.
So I need to check is there any change in email address before saving.
Could you please any body help me on this....
    Thanks
    Rays

    Hello Rays,
    One base question,
Are you going to check the vendor email address manually before saving the PO?
The vendor address in the puchase order is copied from the vendor master so you can maintain email address (single or multiple) in the vendor master before creating the purchase order. At the time of purchase order creation/save, you can change the default email address and use this to trigger PO to vendor.
By the way, user exit EXIT_SAPMM06E_012  (Check Customer-Specific Data Before Saving) is used for custom field not for SAP std field.
    Hope this helps.

  • How do I add a validation prompt before saving a form?

    Hello
I have a registration form for a family camp. The first page collects the personal information and the second page calculates a financial total. I don't have LifeCycle and designed this using Adobe X Pro. I use a third party data extractor tool for forms returned to move the typed information into Excel. The problem I'm running into is a lot of people don't scroll and complete the second page of the form before saving and submitting it. This results in incomplete information when we extract to Excel and more work for us to process the application.
My thoughts are this could be partially remedied if the user received a prompt when they go to save the form or after a certain field was completed (perhaps clicking the "I agree" button) that asks them to double check to make sure they completed the second page. Similar to how if they try to type in letters in the phone number field they receive a message that they can only use numbers.
The problem I'm having is I have no idea if we can create a prompt when someone goes to save the form, or if I can trigger a prompt for after someone completes a particular field and how to go about doing either? Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can accomplish this or where I can look to for some further help?
    Thanks!
    Neil
    PS Here's the form I'm working on - http://accwesterncamp.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Western-Camp-Application-2015-Fillabl e.pdf

Sorry for the link that turned bad above. Here's a functional one: http://accwesterncamp.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Western-Camp-Application-2015-Fillabl e.pdf
Ultimately I have decided against continuing to work with a PDF fillable. The functionality I ultimately wanted was too cumbersome. In doing additional research I came across Adobe Forms Central which is being decommissioned. In the FAQ section I found a recommendation for an online form design service called Cognito which I ultimately decided to go with. This service allows registrants to register multiple people, pretty robust form logic, and process payment all at one go. The cost is very small too. If you would like to see how the digitization and online processing of the form turned out you can see it here: http://accwesterncamp.com/registration/
Thanks for all the help and recommendations in the forum though!

  • Multiple Signatures on Exchange/Outlook 365 with multiple connected pop3 accounts wanting sepearate signatures

I was referred here from another thread, see
http://community.office365.com/en-us/f/158/p/245124/778388.aspx#778388but not sure if this is the right forum, so please move/correct my posting if needed!
    It's a exchange/Outlook365 query, relating to signatures
I have several connected pop3 accounts to the exchange mailbox, but there appears to be no way to have separate signatures for each connected account, in fact there appears to be only 1 signature for the entire account? So when I send emails I can select
from several different from addresses, but the signature remains the same ...
On desktop outlook 2003-2010 at least, there is the ability to have default reply, default new message signatures for each account in use, is there a way to configure the exchange/outlook365 OWA to do this ?
I'm about to test if an outlook 2010 desktop client allows/recognises the server side linked accounts and allows email to be sent from them, so any tips or points on that would be welcome!
    thanks

In Outlook2010 you can set multiple signatures, yes.
If you connect to those accounts LOCALLY using POP3 you can also then set defaults for each account ... HOWEVER
if you set the CONNECTED ACCOUNTS via OUTLOOK365 via the cloud server, the local Outlook will not let you set default signatures for each account. Yes you can have signatures and manually select them, but that's not the same thing, and leads to mistakes.
The whole point of connecting the accounts via the Cloud is that the local PC is then no longer part of the critical path when away from the office, so if the local PC crashed or lost internet, then it would not affect mail delivery to the single exchange
mailbox, for access via the web or mobile devices. Quite important. A common failure we have on local outlook pop3 connections is a single password failure to login, leaves the pop up menu on screen and then stops all other pop3 mail collection from working.
We have tried for 2+ years to solve this "password failure popup", but as the passwords are saved and don't change and the problem persists, we wanted to move to the cloud ... and avoid problems when users are away.
Last but not least, if using the cloud to send a reply to a mail via a connected account, the email is not sent as the connected account (despite it being validated for send as) but sent using a "<exchange Primary email> send on behalf of <pop3
connected email>" which defeats to whole point of connecting the accounts and verifying them!
I've got to say when even Google can get this right! why can't Microsoft? It really does suck!
For a business class product having 1 signature per user within OWA is seriously deficient.
Maybe time to move our email needs to Google, as on searching the depths of old archives it does appear these issues have been raised for several years, yet nothing has improved ... shame on Microsoft.

  • Multiple signatures - only ever displays one

I have multiple email accounts - with, understandably, the need for multiple signatures.
When I hit reply from (let's call it) Account 1, the Account 1 signature is used.
When I hit reply from Account 2, the Account 1 signature is used!
It's pretty annoying. Yes the two accoutn have different signatures applied to them. If I swap the order in the 'Inbox' list Account 2's signature becomes the 'default' - so Account 1 & 2 use Account 2's signature...so it recognises they're different, it just isn't performing as expected.
What have I missed? Or am I going back to Thunderbird that just makes this so simple?

Did you rename each signature? Eg. Account 1 sig, account 2 sig?
Try Mobileme help - even if its Mail and you might not use it, they've chat help and might solve it.
Before you do, try troubleshooting by:
    1. Going to/creating a new user account.
    2. Open Mail in it.
    3. Go to Prefs>Accounts and add each of your accounts.
    4. Then try the sigs and see if the issue remains.
They'd ask you to do this anyways....

  • Signature field detected - I never added a signature field

Hi, when I open my PDF in Reader, I suddenly get a green bar along the top saying "Signature field detected." I never added a signature field to the PDF. How do I remove this green bar? Thanks, Siegfried

Windows 7, 64.  MSIE 10. All updates installed.  And BTW, I am now in "compatability mode" - still nogo.
Perhaps related: I've noticed since... maybe a few months ago: The paste "cache" (or whatever it's called) works differently now.  Now if I "copy", then open a program, then hit "paste", nothing happens. That is: I have to open the target ap before copying from the original ap.
And so, if I want to copy from Word to Excel... If I copy, then open Excel... "paste" does nothing.  I have to go back to Word, copy again, and then paste.
Caveat: I have not done any troubleshooting with this.  And so, I can't say 100% that that is what's happening there.  Maybe just 95%.
I've assumed this apparent change is some sort of new security thing from MS to prevent cross-ap pasting instigated by malware.  But other than that, paste works in every other ap I have - whether I copy from Text Editor to paste into another ap, or copy & paste within an ap, etc.  Except right here.

  • Livecycle 8.0 multiple signatures problems

    Hi,
When I add 2 digital signatures to same pdf document and sign them, the first signature reports
"The revision of the document that was covered by this signature has not been altered; however there have been subsequent changes to the document".
The signature changes from green "check" mark to green "check" mark and a yellow warning marker.
I understand that the document has been changed when adding another signature, but how do I set the preference to allow 2 digital signatures without the warnings at the first signature!?

You are right. The addition of a second signature does change the document since it was first signed, resulting in the Yellow Triangle shown in the appearance of the first signature.
If you Certify the document before any signatures are added then you can have consecutive signatures in that document that retain their valid "green check mark" state.
