I bought the upgrade to Creative Suite 6 Standard, and the installation system asks me the serial number of my previous version (CS 5.5). I insert it, but it tells me it is uncorrect.
The machine where I'm trying to install the Creative Suite Standard CS 6 uses Windows 8 and no Adobe programs are installed here. When I bought the Creative Standard CS 5.5 I registered it for Mac platform, but I have also a serial number for Windows and it doesn't work.
I tried to register a new product in my Adobe account, using the Windows Serial number that I received when I bought CS 5.5, but it doesn't work.

Tina Hadley did you migrate/transfer your applications over to your new Macintosh? If so this could cause problems with your serial number being recognized. Please run the available uninstallers located in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Once this is done you will also want to run the CC Cleaner Tool. I am changing laptops and have tried to download and install Acrobat 9 Standard from the Adobe website, but get message that my serial number is invalid. I log in and double check my account and it shows as a valid serial number. Now what?
If you had it on a laptop that crashed and you threw away, it is still considered as activated on that machine. YOu should contact Adobe by chat or by phone and have them deactivate for you.

I have Logic Studio 9 with all the disks and serial number, I have registered my software about three years ago and I cannot find my orginal dongle version/disks/serial number .

Upgrade to FF 8 (from 3.6) appeared to go smoothly, as did reboot, on Acer desktop running Windows 7 Home Premium. But I get "reboot required to complete FF installation" every time I try to start FF. Tried to uninstall FF using Control Panel uninstall and also using the uninstall in my Mozilla folder--get same "reboot required" message. Tried to reinstall FF--same message. In short, FF totally inoperable--and I'm starting to like Google Chrome.

Download a fresh copy of Firefox for installation.
Uninstall your current Firefox version before installing but don't remove your profile data when you uninstall Firefox (do not select to remove personal data) or you will lose your bookmarks and other data in the profile folder. Remove the program folder for Firefox as well.

We recently upgrade from Creative Suite 5.5 to 6.0. Can you rename files that had been created in the older, we are getting permission errors and not sure how to resolve th issue?

Just got the message that my serial number needs to be verified and to reinstall. I've opened this copy countless times. I recall very vaguely that this happened once befroe and I had to trash a p-list or some such. Or per messages here it may have to do with Adobe Reader--I have both 8 and 9 now.
How do I fix this without reinstalling (which, per messages here, does not work anyway)?

For some reason it was suggested a few months ago that I get 9, so I did. Some time later I gto an upgrade notice for 8 so I also upgraded 8.
Based on your note I trashed 8, but that did not solve the problem. I have not yet deleted it from the trash.
