Adding notes on an image

Question

hi everybody, i have a problem.
� have an jpeg image and i am drawing this image on a jpanel.
jpanel setsize with the image size.
i want to add note on this image by using drawline and drawstring.
i am using drawline to connect the string to a specific point on the image.
i have done this but in wrong way. I am adding notes more than one and also the lines but when � saved the image the notes and lines does not appears on the image. The real problem is how can � add more than one notes and lines on the image without losing them on the image. because when the paint method called the image is refreshing. i want to keep the image with the notes and lines without losing them.
i am using to keep the image and the other notes and lines by using this method :
g = jPanel1.getGraphics();
jPanel1.paint(g);
then i am going on but when the component minimized or some other windows opens on it the notes are going away. i think i am drawing the notes and lines on the screen.
