Adding One Event (Touch) at Different Times to One Symbol?

Hi,
I've searched to see if this has been answered. However, nothing seems to solve it fully.
The Problem:
I have a tablet design with multiple pages (three pages) and only one arrow button to move between pages in the lower right corner of the screen.
In theory, a user could press the button and the first page would deconstruct off and the next page would build on.
I would like this to happen for every page so a user can tap through the entire experience without swiping, looping back to the first page. I've been able to easily set up getting from the first page
onto the second (this uses the symbol for one touch event using triggers to start and stop).
The Question:
How to I make a button (symbol) do the same action at different times? For instance, from 1-2 seconds, the button action moves from page 1 to page 2. At 2-3 seconds, the button would then switch to be an entirely different click event for transitioning
between pages 2 to 3?
I just don't want to have to build multiple buttons and would rather solve this through code.
Thanks for any help!
Best,
-S

Hi,
So, your arrow will have a click event with a conditional statement:
if (sym.getDuration() == 1000) { sym.play() } //page 1 displayed
else if (sym.getDuration() == 2000) { sym.play() }  //page 2 displayed
else if (sym.getDuration() == 3000) { sym.play() } ;  //page 3 displayed
I assumed you put triggers at 1000, 2000 and 3000 with sym.stop();

  • How to create an event in two different time zones?

    Hello,
I am traveling a lot and I would like to be able to enter the flight details in iCal - whether on my iPhone, iCloud, i... whatever. The problem is that I cannot manage to enter these details without calculating the time difference. Example:
I am flying on Saturday from Frankfurt to Japan. My flight takes off at 19:00h local German time and arrives in Tokyo at 13:00h local time (in Japan)
I can either specify the time zone for Germany or for Tokyo, but is there a way to enter the event from 19:00h German time to 13:00h Tokyo time?
Thank you very much for your time.
    Larry

    Hi Alex,
this applies only when the event takes place in one time zone, but in my case I start the event on one time zone and ends in a different time zone. As it is known, the airlines show always the local times on the ticket. Which means that I start my travel at 19:00h German time (UTC +2) and end it at 13:00h Tokyo time (UTC +9). When I create the event I can choose From Date/Time... To Date/Time and below I have Time zone. Ideally I should have two time zones, one for the start and another for the end.
Since this situation only applies to travelling (I can't think of another case right now), I believe that Apple didn't take this into consideration.
Any other thoughts/ideas? Other than manually calculating the difference, of course.

  • How do i create a new event in a different time zone in iCal ios7?

New update seems to have made this disappear in iphone.

Several settings in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars affect Calendar and your calendar accounts. These include:
Syncing of past events (future events are always synced)
Alert tone played for new meeting invitations
    Default calendar for new events
    Default time for alerts
Calendar time zone support, to show dates and times using a different time zone
    Which day starts the week

  • View events in a different time zone?!?

I see there are older and closed discussions on this questions, long before before Lion and iCloud came into being.
I live in Greece which is European Central Time and this is the time zone my iCal is normally set to, with time zone support turned on.
I was in the US Eastern Seaboard for 4 weeks this past Summer and all my appointments entered while there were entered in EST - or DST, whatever.
According to the iCal Help Menu
"If you create any new events while the main calendar view is shifted to another time zone, the new events take the time zone of the current view. When you switch back to your original time zone, the events created in the shifted time zone retain the shifted time zone setting."
Well, they don't: they appear in whatever time zone the calendar is set to - the correct zone can only be seen if you double click on the event.
Has anyone found a way around this?
And how is one supposed to handle the departure and arrival times for flightsthat croos over time zones?
Sometimes Apple doesn't figure on people encountering these problems: as someone said in an earlier post: do they think they whold wolrd lives on Cupertino time?

  • ICal and mobile me have same events but on different dates and times

I am using iCal and have a mobileme account.
When I publish the calendars their publish sites are fine.
But when I go to my mobileme calendar, the events are there, but at different times and a day early.
I have tried changing my (GMT time) but it stays as Pacific Time (US & Canada)
The 'all day' events are correct, but the events throughout the day are incorrect.
All the events on my iphone match the calendar on my home phone so I am really confused.
Any idea what I can do to fix this?

    Thx Bernard,
    You are very helpful
When you went through the steps, were any of the settings different to those that I suggested?
......Yes, Time zone was uncheck in iCal and MM
I don't think you mentioned importing previously. Where are the events originally created?
.....I have a large spreadsheet of college athletic games that we keep in Excel and I import to iCal, they are ALWAYS one hour off after imported to iCal. Long before iPhone and MM too!
I don't see that MobileMe is especially different to dotmac - except that you now have explicit control over the time zone of the calendar (whereas it used to be set to the one from which you originally published).
...Honestly the TZ Support is a HUGE pain and causes Much more trouble for all than anything it is suppose to help with..., been that way ever since iCal came out...
One hour time differences often crop-up on a phone and are usually to do with daylight savings issues, but you don't mention a phone in your set-up so I am assuming this is not the case.
...again this one hour problem, has been an issue for me long before the iPhone and MM...
I have to say that I don't have issues with my calendars and I have these synced across different systems and devices, so for me it really is a non-issue. (I should also say that I travel frequently and don't have problems with events in multiple time zones either.)
...glad it works for you, but it appears this is an issue for many. I used Now Up-To-Date for 10+ years and NEVER had trouble with import/export/sync...
One thing I neglected to ask you is whether you do need to have time zone support - i.e. do you travel with any of the macs to which you sync or do you get invitations that originate in different time zones?
...I have no need for TZ Support even if I were and astronaut
It would also be enormously helpful if you would provide data on what version of OS X and iCal you are using.
    ....I am on 10.5.5 and iCal 3.0.5
    Thx Much

  • Different times showing for an event

I received in invite from someone who is one hour behind me. He sent me a test invite ("Fake 2") for 10am my time, which is 9am his time.
In the Calender, the time is shown correctly, but when I click on it, it shows his time zone. Why is that? Why won't it show the time of the meeting in my time zone? Note that on my iPad, I see 10am in both cases.
This looks like this has something to do with the "Turn on time zone support" preference. However, I'd like to be able to use that function to change times if I want to set my Calendar to different time zones I'm visiting but see the actual time of the event in my time zone when I click it. If not, it can be a bit confusing to see two sets of times.
    What am I missing?
    Thanks,
    Tony

Dispatching event from any component by either by using this or simply without this
can not be listen by each and every componet of the application, depends upon where you have write addListner. Check Event life cycle
in the flex. While if you are using the system manager for dispatching the event and
also for listenting the event so in that case you will always listen the event.
You can visit this link for making it simple to use and understand.By this way you can always listen your event
inside any component in your application.

  • Just added an event to iPod Touch's calendar!

I was one of the assumed many who have not yet bought an iPod Touch due to the lack of ability to add/edit calendar events and contacts.
I walked into an Apple store yesterday just to check it out, like I normally do, and I was playing with the iPod Touch for a bit and noticed a little plus icon at the top of the calendar. I thought that was odd since you couldn't add events, but I pushed it and sure enough, an add event screen popped up and I successfully added an event to the calendar. I was amazed that I hadn't heard anything about this yet. I also checked out the address book and sure enough, I could add a contact as well.
Looks like I'll be getting an iPod Touch this Christmas!

Yes, it was added in the 1.1.2 update.

How do i backup the list of load images automatically exceptions under Options->Content. I want to transfer to another comp without re-adding one at a time. EVen if there is no way to backup, what is the system file for Firefox that stores these, so i can transfer this file or open it in an XML or similar editor to copy them out?

The permissions.sqlite file stores 'allow' and 'block' exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and extensions (software) installation.

  • Creating same event under different times

    Hi there,
I'm curious if there is a feature to set an event in Calendar in different times. Here's an example: an event is on June 20th at 5-7pm AND also June 21st 10am-4pm. Is there a way to easily add it?
(P.S. Is there a better name for this)

    Hi Dorothy,
In RSA1, selecting the 'Reporting Agent' on the left and then 'web templates', you can define web templates for precalculation and use standard job scheduling to run the precalculation. For more information please check:

  • I want to snooze an event for a different length of time than the default. How do I select a different snooze length?

I just upgraded to Mountain Lion and I can't see how to snooze an event alert for other than the preset 15 minutes. How do I snooze events and other alerts for different lengths of time than the default? Sometimes I want to snooze an event until the start time or maybe for a whole day.

SnoozeMaster is now avaiable from the Mac App Store, for MacOS X 10.8 and up.
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/snoozemaster/id614955483?mt=12
It addresses this exact issue. You'll be able to configure different pre-set snooze times, enter custom snooze times when an alarm triggers, etc. It's what snoozing should've been from the get go.

  • Events booked on icloud show up at different times on iphone calander?

The times I book in events on iphone change when I bring them up on icloud.. or if booked in on icloud show up in a different time on iphone. usually a few hours different but sometimes around day either side of when the event was actually booked for... can this be fixed?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.

  • It says iCal will default events with no end time to one hour..and mine used to..but since I upgraded to Lion it doesn't.  Any suggestions as to how I can get it to default events to one hour?

My iCal used to default to one hour when I posted an event with a start time and no end time.  The user guide says it will default to one hour.  Since I started using OS Lion, my calendar doesn't do that.  Can anyone suggest a way for me to get the calendar to default to one hour again?  Thanks.

    Dana,
Here are some iCal data entry tips from iCal Help:
Enter a name, date, and time duration for the event, and then press Return.
For example, you can enter “Super Bowl Party Feb 5,” “Movie with Rebecca on Friday at 7pm,” “Soccer Game on Saturday from 11am-1pm,” or “Breakfast with Jon,” and then press Return.
If you don’t enter a time duration for the event, iCal sets the event’s duration to 1 hour.
If you don’t enter any time information for the event, iCal makes the event an all-day event.
If you enter “breakfast” or “morning,” iCal sets the event to start at 9 a.m.
If you enter “lunch “ or “noon,” iCal sets the event to start at 12 p.m.
If you enter “dinner” or “night,” iCal sets the event to start at 8 p.m.

  • ICals on OS X & iOS display different time for same event

I am in UTC+8 time zone. My boss is in UTC-5 time zone. I have set up sync service on my MBA and iPhone iCals with my company's MS Exchange Server.
I have a weekly meeting invitation from my boss, my MBA iCal displays this meeting on 10:30pm which is wrong, while my iPhone and MS Server displays 9:30pm which is corret - the meeting takes places on 9:30pm my time.
All my other iCal events are fine on both devices, only this weekly event displays different time. I have taken with MBA and iPhone to travel around the world over the past half year and switched time zones on them, but they are all set to adjust time zones automatically, and they are with most up-to-date system. Why does MBA iCal displays wrong time? Can I adjust it? This problem exisits on Lion and now also on M Lion.
Thanks for everyone's attention and help in advance!

Try using floating time zones. It helped for me.

  • One parameters should pass two Infotypes at different times

I have two Infotype 0014 & 0015 which needs to be passed to the Class Z_CUSTOM_CLASS method CHECK_EGLIBILITY, Can any body help me in passing these Infotypes at different times but only through One Parameter ( IMPORTING or changing ) .
I need to know the TYPE or LIKE or Type Ref to for that Par1 ?
I dont want to specify two parameters each defined based on the structure of P0014 or P0015.
    Z_CUSTOM_CLASS => CHeck_ELIGIBILITY
    importing
    par 1  = 0014
    or
    Z_CUSTOM_CLASS => CHeck_ELIGIBILITY
    importing
    par 1  = 0015
the class should be able to process both infotypes, the developer who uses this method would be given Privilege whether to pass 14 infotype or infotype 15 depending on situation.
it would be of great help if you can show some sample code.

You can use PRELP structure to type this parameter. This would work similary to customer exits ZXPADU01/02
    data p0014 type p0014.
    data innnn type prelp.
