Adding remote server for CF8

I'm trying to add a remote sever in CF Builder. The CF Server is 8.1 and I'm using these directions:
http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ColdFusionBuilder/Using/WS0ef8c004658c1089-38317734121cdfd5fd3 -7ffd.html
but on the step to run the adminstart.bat file I get the following message and ultimately I cannot connect to the server. Can anyone help? Thanks!!!
'The application has failed to start because msvcr71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem'

Hello,
As per my understanding, you want to create HA of Exchange database in Exchange 2003 Environment. If yes, then it is not possible in Exchange
2003 scenario.
In this case you can use any tired party replication tool, which will help you database level replication but any third party toll are not
give you real time replication facility.
Please revert………

  • Does it actualy matter what you have on your remote server for services-config.xml

    Hi there, does it actualy matter what you have on your remote server for services-config.xml ?
    Does the information not just get baked into the flex 3 app at compile time on my local computer?

    I don't think this is right!
    If you don't have any config file, you can set up a remote object. The config file handles the default settings.
    If you implement something like
        <mx:RemoteObject id="myService"
            destination="amf"
            source="remoteServiceName"
            endpoint="http://myDomain/amfphp/gateway.php"
            fault="handleFault(event)">
            <mx:method name="test" result="handleResult(event)"/>
        </mx:RemoteObject>
    it will work!

  • How to set up local server to use a remote server for login authentication?

    Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.
    We are trying to set up a "sub-network" (dont' know if this is the right terminology) using a 10.4 Server OS, to manage a set of clients... the trick is that the client login/home directory information is on a different remote server, and shall remain there, for the most part.
    To make it easy to understand here's the environment:
    *Local Server:* 10.4 G4 Server Quicksilver 1G dual--we have total control of this one
    *Main/remote server:* 10.5 Xserve.. don't know which vintage--we have very very very little input on this machine.. effectively at the mercy of the sysadmin of this system who is very conservative in changing anything (hence the need for a separate server to install applications and client machine-specific profiles, etc since the Xserve admin refuses do it). This serves MacBooks/MacBookPros and few iMacs. (no Windows PC.. as that group of comptuers have their own server)
    client: ~20 eMacs/iBooks all running 10.4.
    use environment: elementary school-->very low network demand (no e-mail, just running local apps linking to server(s) for licensing and login, and some file saving small files on remote server, user preferences, etc).
    The remote server (the Xserve) has all the login authentication, as well as the home directories. every school year, the directories get updated as new students enroll and old students graduate. Currently all the clients are directly linked to the Xserve via LDAP while we bring the local server on-line.
    the local sever (our G4 Quicksilver) will have few network applications that will support the client machines. We also will be setting up computer accounts and groups for our clients so that we can properly set their environments (the Xserve admin will not do this on the Xserve, so currently all the clients are connecting to the server as a "guest computer" from what little I understand watching what was done)
    now, what is the best way to approach this type of set up with minimal "inconvenience" of the Xserve admin?
    I am pretty experienced with standalone UNIX and macOS X administration, but a novice to this whole Server and network setup thing. Any suggestions, instructions, pointers to URLs with how-tos is much appreciated. I am not afraid to use Terminal (grew up on UNIX before GUI), etc., and willing to try safe but unconventional setups if that is what's needed...
    thanks for any help!

    Oh never mind.... I figured it out myself helps to read up on the manuals. d'oh. sorry for the bandwidth waste...

  • T4-1 rack mount server as a remote server for disaster recovery setup.

    Hi,
    I would like to ask some basic questions, as Solaris is not my area.
    1)
    T4-1 server is a rack mount server.  Now, we would like to use it for DR purpose.  Can we keep this rack mount server on remote location without conversion kit (to use it as a tower server).
    2)
    As I am new to this, would like to ask a basic question. This T4-1 server has 4 * 300GB hdd.   To expand storage capacity, we would like to add hard disks to this server.  Do we have to add 300gb hard disks only ? or we can add 2 new 600 GB hard disks.
    Thanks

    1) Yes, it does not need to be racked to run.  Putting it on a wire rack should work fine. Just verify the power and cooling requirements.
    2) You can add new internal disks, the system holds up to 8 internal 2.5" disks. Using a zpool, I would consider adding 4 more 600G disks for a RAIDZ pool, though you can add 2 600G disks and mirror them.

  • Cannot Adding Mailbox Server for Database Copy for Exchange 2013 SP1

    Before I upgraded to 2013 SP1 everything works find but after I upgrade to SP1 I cannot add database copy. the details are...
    I have 2 sites
    Site 1 : 4 Mailboxes (Mailbox01,Mailbox02,Mailbox03,Mailbox04)   + 2 CAS
    Site 2 : 2 Mailboxes (Mailbox05,Mailbox06)   + 2 CAS  (just for standby site)
    So I have 2 DAG group  (6 Mailboxes separate to 3 Mailboxes for 1 DAG group Mailbox01,Mailbox02,Mailbox05 for DAG1  and Mailbox03,Mailbox04,Mailbox06 for DAG2)
    After I upgrade Exchange 2013 to SP1 , I try to create new database on Mailbox01 and after that I try to add mailbox02 and mailbox05 to database copy of new database that I created.
    "Mailbox05 can added to be database copy but Mailbox02 cannot add database copy for it , Error "Network path not found" occur" but Im very sure that path is the same for each mailbox database server.
    so I try to create new database on Mailbox 03 and add database copy on mailbox04 and mailbox06.... the result is the same only Mailbox06 can add mailbox copy of database.
    It look like I cannot have 2 mailbox in site 1 for database copy of each new database (I already try to create new database on Mailbox 02 and add database copy on mailbox01 and mailbox05 , the result is only mailbox05 can be database copy of database).
    Please help me to fix this out.

    Hi,
    I recommend you check if the Remote Registry service is running on Mailbox01, Mailbox02, Mailbox03 and Mailbox04. If not, please start it and then add mailbox database copy to check the result.
    Best regards,

  • Debugging to remote server - deployment fails

    Please help. I'm running a WLS8.1 Integration server on a remote
    machine and WLW8.1 on my dev machine. I created a small test
    application and it will work as expected; build, debug offers deploy,
    undeploy, etc. life-phases are all fine on my local machine.
    I set application server properties to point to the remote machine, its
    hostname, port, domain and server. IDE then understands whether this
    server is running or not, so it all looks good. Debugging session fails
    with message "unable to enable debugging. verify that your webapp
    deployed correctly". I can view tools || server || redeploy and
    undeploy. If I undeploy, then deploy is added to this context-menu so
    the ide seems to believe that it's deployment was successful. I never
    see anything in the JDPA transport window, nor the server console
    window, on the remote machine.
    If I create an EAR I can deploy that and I can then debug the application.
    If I use the IDE to deploy (a rebuilt/modified) version of the
    application as above, I am warned that an existing application of the
    same name exists - so I tell it to replace that. Then I am again unable
    to debug.
    We've concluded that the only way to get an app to the remote server for
    debugging is to build the EAR and deploy that. But, that can't be
    correct, can it?!?!
    Thanks in advance for any assistance. My eval is stalled at this point
    and I would really like to get beyond the mechanics of using a shared
    server for our team.

    Hi,
    i think this has to do with the "Document Conversions Load Balancer Service".
    If you don't need the service than try to stop it:
    Start Central Administration > Operations > Services and stop the service.
    or
    If you need it the service, try this:
    Start Central Administration > Operations > Service Account
    Change the service account to "Document Conversions Load Balancer Service" And Select a "Network Services" Click Save
    Hope this helps!

  • To access a 11gr1 db from remote server which parameters needs to be set

    Hi,
    I would like to access my db from a remote server, for this which parameters i need to set?
    Thanks,

    By default you don't need to set any instance parameter for this because Oracle Net listener will run on port 1521 and database will register dynamically to local listener on port 1521.
    If listener does not listen on port 1521 then you need to set instance parameter LOCAL_LISTENER: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/network.112/e10836/listenercfg.htm#CHDCCHIC.

  • Working with data services on remote server (not just deploying)

    Hi!,
    Is this possible? I'm used to work directly agains remote servers, but it seems flash builder 4 data services doesn't like it in development phase.
    I know I can deploy my services to a remote server for production, but want to do the same in development phase, work against remote data service. Could anyone suguest any tip?
    Thanks in advance,
    HexDump.

    Hello HexDump;
    If I understand your question correctly - you are trying to connect to a remote server to use its data during development.  What type of data are you working with and how do you connect to it?
    For example if you are using php/mySQL on your remote server and you are using data services and a callresponder, you can put in the endpoint in your service (see below example). *This might change in newer revisions.
    <fx:Declarations>
    <users:Users id="users" destination="users" endpoint="http://www.yourdomain.com/gateway.php"
    fault="Alert.show(event.fault.faultString)" showBusyCursor="true" source="users"/>
    <s:CallResponder id="loginUserResult"/>
    </fx:Declarations>

  • Design Notes not showing up in Remote Server column

    I cant seem to see the Design Note icon appear in the appropriate column of the remote server for collaborative use.
    I think I have set the feature up correctly, and I have uploaded the document in question to the server, but no sign of the notes icon in the remote view pane.
    What a pane

    I sorted this by turning off and on the Option to Show the Notes column in the FileView Columns window in the Advanced Settings.
    Then refreshed the remote Site view and the Note icon appeared.
    I think I already had the Enable Column Sharing option ticked there but maybe that also did it . . .
    Thanks

  • Deploying on a Remote Server

    Hi ,
    I have an OC4J running on a remote computer whose ip address is 130.35.86.140
    The server starts cleanly on port 7777.
    I am deploying an application from my m/c on the above server with the following parametres
    The Connection URL is ormi://130.35.86.140/
    The Target Web-Site is http-web-site
    The local directory where admin.jar is located D:\oc4j\j2ee\home
    I am getting the following msgs.
    Exit status of OC4J admin tool (-bindWebApp): 17
    Use the following context root(s) to test your web application(s):
    http://130.35.86.140:????/StdRepo
    Note: JDeveloper was unable to determine the HTTP port number of the remote server for the above URL(s).
    Elapsed time for deployment: 1 minute, 42 seconds
    ---- Deployment finished. ---- Jun 8, 2006 4:22:16 PM
    I am not able to access the application.
    Please advice where i am going wrong.
    Thanks
    Gaurav Singh

    Gaurav,
    You said:
    The server starts cleanly on port 7777.I don't understand what this sentence means. Can you explain, please?
    You then said:
    I am not able to access the application.According to the information you posted, it looks like your application was not successfully deployed, therefore it can't be accessed.
    Finally you said (and I have taken the liberty of correcting the mistakes):
    Please advise where I am going wrong.I always advise people not to use the JDeveloper wizards -- unless you really understand what they are doing. Most people I know, including myself, don't.
    Since you say that "http-web-site" is your target Web site, I assume you are using a version of OC4J (or JDeveloper) that is prior to the latest version: 10.1.3 (because in 10.1.3 the name was changed from "http-web-site" to "default-web-site").
    Try typing the commands from the command prompt, and not via JDeveloper. The following command displays the available options (for the "admin.jar" file):
    java -jar admin.jar -helpGood Luck,
    Avi.

  • Logging into remote server - how?

    I have Visual Studio installed, along with all the BOE stuff on a virtual machine. I can log into the BOE server successfully in this setup. But now, I need to log into a remote server for more testing. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to do this. This is the code for logging in on the same box
    EnterpriseSession = SessionMgr.Logon(boUser.UserName, boUser.Password, boUser.CmsName, boUser.CmsAuthType);
    EnterpriseService = EnterpriseSession.GetService("InfoStore");
    _infoStore = new InfoStore(EnterpriseService);
    _infoStore = (InfoStore)EnterpriseService;
    Where do I specify the server I want to log into?
    Thanks
    James

    Hi Adam,
    That doesn't work. The remote server has an address of 10.1.2.12, with the server name of BOEDIS01. When I try to log in with the following:
    var boUser = new BusinessObjectUser()
           UserName = username,
           Password = password,
           CmsName = "BOEDIS01",
           CmsAuthType = "secEnterprise"
    public void LoginUser(BusinessObjectUser boUser)
       EnterpriseSession = SessionMgr.Logon(boUser.UserName, boUser.Password, boUser.CmsName, boUser.CmsAuthType);
       EnterpriseService = EnterpriseSession.GetService("InfoStore");
       _infoStore = new InfoStore(EnterpriseService);
       _infoStore = (InfoStore)EnterpriseService;
       IsLoggedIn = true;
    I get the following error:
    Unable to log on: Could not connect to server BOEDIS01.  Please check that the server name is correct, and that the server is running.
    Shouldn't there be an option for designating the location of the server?
    Thanks
    James

  • Choice a remote drive for RMAN backup

    I want to use my AIX (OS 5.3L) as a remote server for RMAN backup, under the 10g R2. The two most likely drives that still has lots space are hdisk1 and hdisk3. However, the hdisk1 is in rootvg with my test Oracle 10g appl on. Although the hdisk3 is in appvg and but it is the data storage for oracle of local machine. Both drives are quite busy based on the memory monitor and iostat. so How to make a choice for which drive is more proper as a remote drive?

    As i play more with the NFS on AIX, i noticed more about the user/group attributes of the files and directory. Mainly, they are different on either side, even more strangely that the new file created on the server side has different user/group attribute , not as oracle/oinstall of original (client side) It worries me whether there will be problem when RMAN does the recovery later.
    Secondly, the NFS only allows to write into one level of the directory, which is assigned NSF. As I know, the whole RMAN backup creates backupset files at several levels down from my flash_recovery_area.

  • Connecting to remote server slows down computer

    We've been connecting to a remote server for years, and only recently have this problem:
    When connected to a remote server, the entire system runs sluggish. This only happens with one remote server -- other connections don't cause this problem. The system is slow even if we are not reading or writing -- just the connection seems to cause the slowdown.
    What could be causing this?

    You need to enable WinRM on your system. Open powershell on the system you want to connect to remotely and enable it by typing:
    C:>enable-psremoting -force
    WinRM already is set up to receive requests on this machine.
    WinRM has been updated for remote management.
    Created a WinRM listener on HTTP://* to accept WS-Man requests to any IP on this machine.
    This will configure WinRM for you. Check out this technet powershell training session.
