Adding Secondary DNS entry in server, but Changes didnt take effects
Hello.
we have two servers, at time of installation we didnt configured ADC+secondary Dns in our network, so these servers were configured with only DC and Primary DNS server IP. later on we built ADC with secondary DNS, now when we add ADC+secondary DNS
IP to these server it demands restart. and after restarting no changes made. means it didnt add the secondary dns ip.

Maybe you need to registry the secondary DNS server under Networks in the
Windows Azure management portal. In addition, it seems that you also need to add the secondary DNS server in the
DNS Servers and VPN Connectivity page.

After installing and configuring OS X Server, Tiger, I realized I had given the machine the wrong IP-address. After changing it, I'm getting the following errors every half hour:

Can anyone enlighten me, as to wether this is something serious or not. The server is running fine, so it isn't mission critical, but you know, nobody likes error messages

Reload a method for a change to take effect ?
I've got 1 object which has 1 button and 1 label.
The containt of the label is stored in a text defined in the constructor.
When I press the button I want this text to change.
So I change the containt of the variable text in the action of the button. But it doesn't change anything. The text stay the same.
Is there any way to reload the label for this change to take effect ?

Changes dont take effect in the view
Hi,
I am modifying the UI-Table which is editable.
What has to be done to show the current new content of the table on the view.
There is a calculation and the result will be inserted into the cost column.
Cleary how can I see that the changes take effect
I cant see the value in the view after modify command

Table binding........is the corret solution to have the new resutls to be shown....what it does is.Binding stores the latest information to the node.......
Check the tbale events......if there is ONENTER event you can write the same code ...for callucuations...bind the table again...........One thing to remember...this will only trigger when teh USER presses the ENTER key.....but on every ENTER event this code gets triggered..better keep a button for calculation and perform the code in this.......Sometimes the users are lazy to press ENTER everytime...

How can I make FF4 update all currently open browsers when I move tabs in 1 browser. The change used to be auto and applied to all open browsers last time. Now I need to close every open browser and reopen for the effect to take over.
I use that add-on. Works great.

There are a bunch of add-ons that recently were updated, including noscript, adblock, etc. These add-ons were updated successfully and say in the add-on window they will be installed the next time Firefox restarts. There's also a bar that says "restart firefox now" and even when clicking restart firefox, none of the updates seem to load. I had to manually download the noscript the last time to get it to work but alas with the latest update, again, same problems. i tried disabling other plugins with no impact either. Anyone else having a similar problem and does anyone know how to get this resolved?
Delete the files extensions.* (extensions.rdf, extensions.cache, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox [[Profiles|profile folder]] to reset the extensions registry. New files will be created when required.

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the "Find Updates" button (in Firefox 4: right-click the extension -> "Find Updates") to do a compatibility check. -
Print Properties must be set Twice for changes to take effect
When I set anything in Print Properties, in Acrobat or Acrobat Reader, the first time I exit the Print Properties box, by selecting Ok, the changes are not reflected in the Print dialog box.
If I go into Print Properties again, and just click Ok again, then the chages are applied.
How do I make the changes apply on the first try?One other note: when I print the test page, it still indicates that the media size is 4x6:

Have to refresh materialized views twice for changes to take effect
If I use SQL Developer to refresh a materialized view using the context menu's Refresh Option -> Force Refresh Now... with refresh type 'C' (complete), I typically find that changes to the source data are not reflected in the MV unless I repeat the refresh a second time. Why would that be?
You can dig up sample dbms.scheduler code in the Scheduler forum, or simply google search.
Regarding the M.View, can't you inside the scheduler job, drop the m.view, and recreate it? Or if you need fresh data any moment, a regular view is probably better. -
i am trying to crop a scene. it is against greenscreen. does that matter? it won't take effect when i click on the done button.

Both the conditions 'Required' and 'Anyone' or 'Prefill' cannot work simultaneously.
As per your workflow you can assign the role of one of the form fields as 'Prefill' and the others 'Anyone' without making them 'Required'.

No Name Available / No Reverse DNS Entry in System Log
On our network, we have two Macs running different versions of OSX Server software. Our "main" server is a G5 dual 2GHz (2.5 Gb RAM) running Leopard Server 10.5.6, and it runs most of our major services such as Open Directory (it’s designated an OD Master), Mail, Web, FTP and DNS. Our "secondary" server is an XServe dual 2.3GHz (G5) (2 Gb RAM) running Tiger Server 10.4.11. It only runs the AFP service and exists solely as our company’s fileserver. Both of its ethernet ports are connected to our company’s 10/100 switch, and the ports are configured as follows: Built-in Ethernet 2 (BSD Device Name en1) IP addr. 10.1.10.154; Built-in Ethernet 1 (BSD Device Name en0) IP addr. 10.1.10.152. In the Network control panel’s Network Port Configurations, Built-in Ethernet 2 (IP address 10.1.154) is moved to the top of the configuration window and as a result, Network Status indicates that that XServe "is connected to the Internet via Built-in Ethernet 2."
That said, I see the following every 30 minutes in the System log:

This doesn’t cause any apparent problems in daily operation but if it’s something I could fix myself, I’d be willing to try. In the TCP/IP configuration for both ports, the DNS Server entry points to our "main" G5 server (which has a static IP address) and the Search Domain entry is that "main" G5 server’s domain name.
In the DNS setup on the "main" G5 server, its domain name is entered in the "Primary Zone" field and its static IP address is entered in the Reverse Zone field; Whois lookups work successfully both forward and backward. But there is no mention of our "secondary" server anywhere in the "main" G5 server’s DNS setup.

You have to add an entry for NAGXServe2 in the DNS server's (NAGXServe1?) configs.
First, what you need to enter are hostnames. The zone/domainname (example.com) should resolve to one representative server (your main server) for www service's sake, but otherwise, even your main server should have its own hostname (hostname.example.com).
Let's say you already have an entry for your domain, example.com. This zone should already have one (or even two) A record, nagxserve1.example.com (and maybe example.com, without any hostname). You need to add another A record for nagxserve2.example.com with the IP address 10.1.10.154.
You do this buy selecting "Computer (A) record" from the "Add record" dropdown button. A new A record called "newMachine" should appear under the zone record. If you can't see it, try clicking on the little triangle next to the zone/domain name. -
I recently had a server that's ip changed. I set it up as static, the hostname appeared fine. I ran changeip -checkhostname and got the new ip address with the hostname x.x.x and it said that the dns entries were bad and needed to be repaired. I did changeip old ip new ip and it said I needed to match the hostname too so I did changeip o n o n for both. It looked like everything went fine. Still able to connect and I rebooted too I think. Then I went to dns and edited the primary zone, a record, web service and reverse zone. I removed them all at one point and tried to re-add them. Whatever I tried whenever I tried to enter all the information for both after pressing save it deleted all entries except the primary zone which didn't have a nameserver listed. I'm sure that I entered all the information correctly except the primary zone name may be x.x.x where before it was x.x. I tried both x.x.x and x.x and neither would save. At one point I restarted and there weren't any entries listed there save the one incomplete one and now I can't access the server because I think its dns info isn't valid. A ping brings nothing. So I have to help someone change the information. Can anyone help with this? changeip -checkhostname and host both came back fine with the exception that the dns entries needed to be changed in the first.
Also, the hostname is a registered hostname but because the ip changed recently when setting up a new router dyndns hasn't been updated. I don't know if this causes a problem when trying to save a dns record without it being able to identify the hostname or not.One other thing is that whenever it would auto create a reverse zone or even in the primary one, the default ip listed before I change it is always 10.0.0.1 instead of 10.0.1.7 which is what it is now. It has never been the former that I know of. When setting up the reverse zone, the entry looked correct but I couldn't change it It had the reverse ip minus 7. at the beginning. That didn't seem right and when I tried to change it it just kept what was listed.

Though this subject has been already discussed at many places,im unable to get the clue.Here is my problem.In my office (LAN),server and client are running at different PC.After DNS entry of server PC is removed from DNS server,the page loading and every request & response between client and server is very slow.It takes 2 minutes for each and every request.And coming to the possible solutions,is "configuring the server PC in DNS server" is the only solution?When both the server and client PCs are DNS configured i dont see any issue or slowdown.Any help would be really appreciated

www.adventnet.comWhen you do getHostName() on an InetAddress, what you're doing is asking the OS to do a reverse lookup. So basically this is a windoze problem, not a java problem (although that probably doesn't help you much) Try searching google to see why a windows reverse lookup might be so slow and go from there.

When I change my mobile number, how long until it takes effect?
I changed my phone number on one of my lines about 15 minutes ago. How long until I can use the phone again? Currently when I try it says 'network not responding'.
If it is a 4G phone, power it off and then on again. If it is not a 4G phone dial *228 and select option 1.
These changes should take effect immediately.
Possibility you may need to get a new SIM card if it is a 4G phone. In this case visit a store.
