Adding slashes to a date field

I am creating a form that requires users to enter a date of birth. is there a way to make Adobe automatically insert the "/" between mo/day/year?
This is the error I get when I enter a birth date without the slashes--then I have to go in and manually insert them.
I'm not a program or techie, so please explain things in lay terms and easy-to-follow steps!

I have a scenario as below.
I have to add no. of days to the exixsting date field in the program. The statement is like this.
           <b>DATE1 = DATE + XDAYS.</b>
Where <b>DATE</b> is in <b>DDMMYYYY</b> format. and XDAYS holds the number of days which will be retrieved from the standard table. And DATE1 should hold the result date.
<b>eg:</b> Let <b>DATE</b> = <b>30.08.2007</b>
           <b>XDAYS</b> = <b>15</b>
DATE1 = DATE + XDAYS.   =>   <b>DATE1 = 30.08.2007 + 15</b>.
<b>DATE1 = 14.09.2007</b>
Is there any easiest way to do this. or is there any function mdule to do this operation.

Hi,
The date will be in internal format of 8 digits... Like 20070830..
Directly add the number of days.. system will automatcally calculate
w_new = w_old + 15 (20070830 + 15)
w_new becomes 20070914
and when you will write this : WRITE : w_new. It will show 14.09.2007 or depending on your settings for the date format. No need to call any fm for this..

Adding a custom meta data field which lists out content id based on query

How can we add a custom meta data filed which lists out content id based on query like dDocType <matches> `AssociatedProduct`?
Or other alternative would be to have a custom metadata field such that it allows selection of content id using link wizard which we typically use in site studio. It would be preferable to have this second option as it is user friendly. Can we do this on a check-in screen?

We got it resolved. We did following changes in /ucm/custom/SiteStudio/resources/ss_custom_field_resources.htm file and it worked cleanly.
Added following section at the end before body tag

Warranty Date field in the equipment master data

Hi everyone!
I wanted to display the warranty date field in the equipment master data (IE01). I have already made the configuration and added the additional tab and screen thru this path:
Plant Maintenance and Customer Service > Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service > Technical Objects > General Data > Set View Profile for Technical Objects
But still, the tab is not added and the warranty date field is not found in the "Define Field Selection for the Equipment Master Record". please help me with this. We need this data because we are not using serial numbering and warranty master data that's why a way to track the warranty date is thru this adjustment in the equipment master data screen.

Make sure that you have assigned this specific profile to the Equipment category of the associated equipment that you are creating under SPRO > PM> Master data> tech object > Equipment > Equip category.

Binding Checkboxes with Data Fields

hi again , one question, is it possible to link a user-added checkbox with a data field from a table to show a stored state?, i tried using the valon and valoff properties to set whether it must or not be checked (depending on the values of some field) but it's not working, could someone help me with this please? thanks

The ValidValues in DB field "U_Display" are 'Y' when checkbox is checked, and 'N' when unchecked.

What's the simplest method of adding a date field in a form in DW(CS3)?

I'm creating a form that among other things has a date field where the user will need to input a date. I'd like to make it a standard date field where as soon as the user clicks on the field they get a pop-up of a mini calendar to select a date from. Anybody knows the simplest way to achieve this in DW? I should mention that I still use DW CS3. Possibly a known free widget of some sort?
I should add that if possible I'd like to make this a mandatory field - much like Spry Validation works with the common components of a form (e.g. text field or checkbox). Would that be possible to do if the code supplied for date field was external (as at seems DW doesn't have a date field feature internally)?

I don't have any knowledge of jQuery but had a go anyway at trying to fix this using this link http://api.jqueryui.com/datepicker/ as aid to try adjust my code. Obviously I couldn't get it to work so far... So I'm looking for a little bit of help from anyone who knows a bit of jQuery.
Here's the original default code (just the stuff that goes in the 'head' of the page):

Adding a Date Field to a Report Painter

Could someone please throw light on adding a date field (for example, scheduled finish date of network) to a report painter report? I don't think this field (or any date field for that matter) is available as a characteristic for report painter.

i'm in the process of making a similar change,
copying to a ZPROGRAM is not so difficult, but as i told you you have to add your new field to VBMTV structure, and copy the includes that you need to change,
P.S. Note, when you copy you have to change some SELECT statements where
it's selecting from T180V table based on sy-repid, you hav to change sy-repid to SAPMV75A, as there's some configuration done for this.

Adding data field in query print layout designer (PLD)

Dear Experts/Gurus,
I would like to add data field in query PLD in repetitive area1 but it can't. The query I made excluding sequence no., so I think I must use datafield for that. I use textfield in the repetitive area header1. is it correct what I have thought, I mean is it really datafield can't be add in the print layout designer if it is from query ? No you can't, you will have to recreate the query with the missing field and recreate a new print layout for this. Is still a flaw in SAP B1.
If you go to the service market place under education you can get the flashbook for the print layout design and the query manager and wizard, study them, they are of great help to understand the technology behind the PLD and the queries in SAP B1.

Can a today's date be added in a date field when the submit button is pressed?

I created a form with a submit button and the form is sent via email. Can the date when the form is submitted show up in a date field with the button is pressed?

there is a preSubmit event for form objects you can use.
Select your date field, open the script editor and add this script (language is FormCalc) into the preSubmit event.

If you had a field DateTimeField1 and wanted to display the following year in DateTimeField2, you could do the following in JavaScript;

You need not modify the xml file. You have to change the JSP file(not sure which one) for your application using the netweaver developer studio.
