Adding Spaces in the variable.

Hi All,
the problem scenario is :
I have a varaible of type c and length 10, and its filled with only 6 characters. Further there is another Variable of type c and size 4 , both need to concatenated .
The problem is when I concatenate both variables they come up joined. I need to have the 4 characters space between both variables.

CONCATENATE is not going to be of any help.
Try like this:
DATA:
V_STR1 TYPE CHAR10 VALUE '123456',
V_STR2 TYPE CHAR4 VALUE '1234',
V_STR TYPE STRING.
MOVE V_STR1 TO V_STR.
V_STR+10 = V_STR2.
WRITE: V_STR.

I'm facing issue in adding Space to the existing Virtual Machine (Guest OS) from added repository.
Environment details :
VM Server : /OVS => 130GB
/OVS/935970F2CC2D4B4391701397517F1001/ => 512 GB
Things I have done :
•     I created a VM (Guest OS) in the VM Server with 120 GB
•     After creating the VM (Guest OS) , When I tried adding a VIRTUAL DISK of size 150 GB , I got an error “Maximum available Disk space is only 10GB”.
My query :
•     Will I be able to add space to Existing VM from the added Repository ( /OVS/935970F2CC2D4B4391701397517F1001/ ) , whose system.img is stored in path /OVS/running_pool/34_rhel/ .
Kindly help me out in this.

Hi all,
I checked with Oracle on the above and got the info currently , the we can utilise only the space available in the existing repo and cannot extend to additional repo.
Work around is : Clone it to the other repo , or Use Symbolic link .

Error while adding space to the table space

Can you please put some light on the error which i encountered while adding space to a tablespace

The "diskgroup space exhausted" is key.
Try creating smaller files or adding disk space.

Adding space at the end of a ritchEditableText line

Hi!
I found an interesting behaviour in my application. I have a RichEditableText component with a fixed width . If I add text till almost the end of the line and then insert spaces, the cursor get's stuck at the end of the line. My surprise was on retreiving the text from that line in the code, where all that spaces existed even if they were not visible in the app. So on screen you see let's say 3 spaces, but then you save the text you can get 10. If you keep inserting any letter the cursor will move itself to the next line, but this does not seem to be the case of " "(space).
I tested it useing the following code. I'm useing 4.1 sdk.

Do you want to handle that space or just use the text value?
If you just want to use the text value (i.e 1word - space)...u simply say CONDENSE <UR TEXT VARIABLE>.
Else the other option is: Find the string length and then handle it the way u want.
Or if u r sure that every word has that extra space, and u dont want that u can even use SHIFT RIGHT BY 1 PLACE in thet text variable.

Adding messages to the Variable entry screen in web report

I need to add a message or note to the variable selection screen on a web report. I need this message or note to be displayed somewhere on the same screen with the variable list. I found something similar in BW Expert regarding pop-up messages, but this does not work with web templates. Does anyone know of a way to add a static (or dynamic) message to this initial screen of a web report?

In my clients place, they are ready to do the SAP Mod based on "CL_RSR_WWW_VARIABLE_SCREEN" to have a Alert Message which sort of based on different idea.
Does anyboay have an idea on where to make the change?

Adding text to editable region creates space in the rest of my layout

I created my layout in PS, sliced the images and then imported to DW (html and images).
Layout looks great.
I created editable regions in the template I created from the .html
One I start inserting text into these regions, my container moves and it throws the rest of the layout off by adding space between the editable region and the area above it (a big black line horizontally through the page).
Is there a way to keep the container/editable region from moving or growing with the text so that it doesn't change my layout?
On a side note, this change doesn't appear in live view. When I preview in browser, Safari layout looks great, but text doesn't appear. In firefox, text appears, but layout is a mess.
Here is the code from the editable region to which I am trying to add text:

By varying the condition you can get the spaces howmuch ever you need.

Why do text variables using Running Header character style translate forced returns as a word space in the running head on the first page but close up the space on subsequent pages?

In an InDesign document that requires 3 different Chapter head paragraph styles (to cope with differrent length headings) I've set up the running heads on the master page with a text variable using the Running header (character style) option. The character style I've assigned to this is an empty character style that is applied to all 3 chapter head paragraph styles.
Some chapter heads require a forced line break, so that the line breaks are aethesically pleasing. On the first page the text variable translates this forced line break as a word space in the running head, but on subsequent pages it ignores the forced line break. This means that if you have a word space before the forced line break, on the first page you get a double word space and on subsequent pages the running head sets correctly with a single word space. But if you remove the word space before the forced line break in the chapter head text, the first running head sets correctly with forced line break interpreted as a single word space, but on subsequest pages the space is closed up.
This only seems to be a problem when the character style option is used for header text variables. If a paragraph style is used the forrced line break is interpreted as a a single word space in all instances, both on the foirst page and subsequent pages.
This would appear to be a bug in how text variables are applied when using the Running header (character style) option. I can't see any other reason why the text variable would beheave differently on the first page and on subsequent pages. There is only one master page, so it isn't a case of their being an error between a main master page and a chapter opener master page.
Does anyone have any solutionss, or know if this problem has been fixed in subsequent releases of InDesign (I'm using CS6 ID version 8.0)

Adding a message to the variable selection screen

Hi there
I have been asked to find a way to add a message to the variable selection screen.
It appears that DIVISION needs to be added to the selection screen, as this makes the query run faster. However, they don't actually want the user to enter a division, as this causes other problems.
So, ideally, I would be able to add a message to the variable selection screen that advises users against entering a value for division.
I don't know how to do this.
I create the web template, and I can therefore add messages or anything you like to the template, but I don't believe I have any control over the variable selection screen.
Does anyone know if this is possible?
We are running a 2004s system if that helps.

Well i think if you make the variable used for division not ready for input it would not be available for the users to input anything.
you can find the checkbox for this in the properties of the variable in query designer.

My ipod nano will not show any music on it after syncing or manuallly adding it, but the information still takes up space in ipod

I have tried to put music on my ipod nano 3rd gen both manually and syncing it, but it never shows up after I eject my nano. The songs I put on will take up space, but the ipod says no songs. I have restored it multiple times and nothing has helped.

It sounds like your iPod Nano is not appearing in either Windows, or iTunes on your computer. I would use the troubleshooting from the following article to help isolate and resolve the issue:

I have put an image on the top of the page. When I add a discoverer worksheet on the remaining part, it leaves a small space on the top of the page thus bringing the image a bit down.
If I remove that worksheet, it behaves normally.

Remove spaces from a variable

I have a variable called 'enteredname':-
var enteredname:String;
When the user enters some text into my text input 'nameentry' and clicks a button the text entered is saved into this variable:-
enteredname = nameentry.text;
This variable is then sent to a server and set as the name of the item the user has added via http request however I want to add in another string variable 'enteredimagename' which will store the same text but will have any spaces removed or any characters that would not be appropriate to an image/jpeg file.
The idea of this is that the user adds a name for an item their adding and the same name gets applied both as the items title and as the items image filename (with all the spaces etc removed) as all of the images in my app are stored on a server and are dynamic so the click would look something like:-
enteredname = nameentry.text;
enteredimagename = nameentry.text (with some code to remove the spaces for this string or something)

Hi use this function pass the name or any string that you want to remove strings..the function will return you the concatenated string without spaces.

    var strippedSpaces:String = StringUtil.trim(name);
    var strArray:Array = strippedSpaces.split(" ");
    var concatString:String = "";
    for(var i:int=0;i<strArray.length;i++)
     if(strArray[i] != " ")

This function removes all spaces, also the spaces between words and at the beginning and end as well.

Getting error while creating the variable of Schema Element type

For creating a variable of schema element type I am doing the following steps...
Select 'Variables' after right clicking on bpel process. IN this window, go to 'Create VAriable' then select 'Element' type. Now in Type Choose, I expanded the my imported schema files. And selected a element type, then click ok to create this variable... I am getting the message...
IN ORDER TO SAVE IMPORTED WSDL/SCHEMA FILES, YOU MUST HAVE A PARTNER LINK LOCATED UNDER THE CURRENT PROJECT DIRECTORY.
What is mean by that.
I have imported the schema files in project. AFter that I have imported them into the WSDL also. Now why I am getting error while creating the variable. However I can create variable directly in .BPEL file then everything is fine. And it is working also. But what is mean with the above error? Why I am not able to create variable through GUI?

The idea is that the jdeveloper is not very good working with directories with spaces on the directory name. If you move all your work to a directory without spaces, it will work smoothly. At least, it had worked for me.

Any idea what this errorr means? the data type of the reference does not match the data type of the variable

I am using Veristand 2014, Scan Engine and EtherCat Custom Device. I have not had this error before, but I was trying to deploy my System Definition File (run) to the Target (cRio 9024 with 6 modules) and it failed. It wouldn't even try to communicate with the target. I get the 'connection refused' error.
I created a new Veristand project
I added the Scan Engine and EtherCat custom device.
I changed the IP address and auto-detected my modules
i noticed tat Veristand didn't find one of my modules that was there earlier. (this week)
So, i went to NiMax to make sure software was installed and even reinstalled Scan Engine and Veristand just to make sure.
Now, it finds the module, but when i go to deploy it getsto the last step of deploying the code to the target, and then it fails.
Any thoughts?

Can you deploy if you only have the two 9401 modules in the chassis (no other modules) and in the sysdef? I meant to ask if you could attach your system definition file to the forum post so we can see it as well (sorry for the confusion).
Are you using any of the specialty configurations for the 9401 modules? (ex: counter, PWM, quadrature, etc)
