Adding to EXIF in Photoshop CS

When adding the © copyright symbol to EXIF in PS it displays ok, however, all other Exif viewers that I've tried render the photo Exif data input by PS as Â©, I've searched and can't find anything. I've tried two computers and always get the Â preceeding the © in the photos Exif.
Any ideas how I can fix this??

Solved: "Error in loading DLL" adding vb Reference to Photoshop CS5.1 (CS5.5)

It took me a while to solve this so I thought I'd post the solution.
On two machines (one 32-bit the other 64-bit) running the new Phonoshop CS5.1 that ships with CS5.5, I had trouble adding a reference in vb (vba) to the Photoshop Object Library for scripting:
I would just get: Error in Loading DLL
It appears that on both machines, the CS5.5 installer incorectly referenced the dll which is called "ScriptingSupport.8li" (not exactly a .dll-looking name but anyway ;-)
The Adobe CS5.5 installer set the system registry to look for the file in:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 (64 Bit)\Plug-ins\Automate
or
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5.1\Plug-ins\Automate
but installed the file to:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 (64 Bit)\Plug-ins\Extensions
or
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5.1\Plug-ins\Extensions
I copied ScriptingSupport.8li from the Extensions folder to the Automate folder and it started working.

Adding new backgrounds to Photoshop Elements 11

Hi I have recently purchase Photoshop Elements 11 and i am wanting to transfer all my backgrounds and graphics to the program. I located the Photo Creations folder and pasted my backgrounds in the "Backgrounds' folder but when going back into the program they are not showing. Could someone please let me know what i am doing wrong, thankyou

I am wanting to do this as well. I had more graphics and backgrounds in PSE9 than in this v11 - and I really want to add those back to v11. I am replying so we can get this back up to the top and maybe get an answer. How do we get the graphics from previous versions back in PSE11 and add additional graphics as well?
Anyone know how to do this??

There is no built-in function as with InDesign (Photoshop isn't a layout program, after all. If you're setting large amounts of body copy you're using the wrong tool for the job...).

I designed a sight in photoshop. just the layout, not text. How can i add all of my layers into iWeb and make active buttons out of some of them? I also want my navigation buttons on the side. How do i move them from the top of the page. And how do i center the entire page? I'm new at this so the question may not come out right. Please help.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. What you'd have to do is use your PS image as a full page graphic on a blank page. Then for the items you want to be a button, place a box from the Shape menu at the bottom over it, give it no fill or stroke in the Inspector/Graphic pane, and make that box a link via the Inspector/Link pane.
As for the nav bar, you'll have to create text links, place them where you want along the side and activate them with the Inspector/link pane (the blue circle with the white arrow in it - on far right). Then turn unselect the Display Navigation Bar checkbox in the Inspector/Page pane.

I was able to reproduce this tutorial but instead of using a noise filter (*hello, Adobe?* Noise filter? Pretty please?), I used the "Grainy Night" filter and "Shred" instead of "Crystalize." Came out somewhat respectable. You'll have to know where the other respective tools are in PS Touch as it's a little different.

Adding Nik filters to Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 CC

I've just recently installed Photoshop CC and LIghtroom 5 CC. My Nik filters aren't showing up on my dropdown menue in PS, and only ColorFX shows up in LR. What do I need to do to make them appear?

Help on adding plugin filters to photoshop cs2

I use Windows XP, 1 gig ram, more than enough space on hard drive.
I just installed photoshop CS2. I also use PSPX and have plugins EyeCandy, FlamingPear filters, and all of the KPT filters in the plugin options on PSPX. Question is, to use them in photoshop and also PSPX ..... how do I install them into photoshop also? be gentle, I'm not sure about how to install them...

Added a Network, now Photoshop CS3 can't open the file...

and says the file is no longer compatible. Also saya there are some unsupported blending problems. Is this a Network setting problem? It's a NETGEAR ReadyNAS +nv

I may have found the problem.
1. Changed the default printer settings to LOCAL - thank you
2. Updated the video driver.
Now the files open after being asked I want to keep them the layers- which I never had to do before.
I still can not export using PSD2FLA driver, which is very important to me, so if you have any recommendations. The Photoshop export to Flash gives very poor quality layers.

The video mentions using Option+G on Mac and Alt+G on Windows to create the copyright mark. Control/Ctrl+G is not going to give you a copyright mark.

Adding "Favorites" Folders to Photoshop save/open dialogs Vista

Hi All,
Most apps in Vista display your folder "favorites" when you save/open. The CS4 apps, however, only display a few folders (recent places, desktop, etc.) and don't let you edit which folders are available to quickly select.
Anyone know how to force this window to either display additional folders or display your Vista favorites?

I still don't understand the Adobe dialogs don't resemble the Office (and other app) dialogs, which have the favorites folder by default -- obviously most people using Adobe apps need to quickly access a variety of folders on their computer. I do wonder if there is a way to customize these dialogs through the Adobe software.

Is it possible to add a new unit in Photoshop?

Hi, I design website layout with the newest version of photoshop, retina support.
When I open a 960px width canvas, it looks like 480px width, if I want it looks like a "normal" size, I have to change it to 1920px width.
It's not a big problem, but when I begin coding, EVERY dimension need to divided by 2 - It's simple but not cool.
Photoshop has pixels, inches, cm, mm, points, picas, columns, if I can put a new unit "double pixel" into photoshop, it should be solved.
So, I wonder know are there any method for adding this unit in photoshop, plugin or hacking?

If you have CS6 you need to update to 13.0.2, a recent update.
Why do my images appear smaller on my Retina enabled Mac after installing the 13.1/13.0.2 update?
Retina displays use a higher pixel density than a normal monitor. The individual display pixels are approximately one half the size of previous devices. While working in Photoshop before installing the 13.1/13.0.2 update, as with any other non-Retina optimized application, the number of pixels used is doubled to give a normal, non-miniaturized appearance. This can cause applications to be slightly blurred or pixilated. Thus, when viewing images in Photoshop, the zoom level is effectively double whatever is displayed. At 100% zoom, the image is displayed so that every one image pixel is shown with four display pixels, the same as viewing the image at 200%. With the 13.1/13.0.2 update, Photoshop now displays natively on Retina screens, meaning that image pixels now appear at the much smaller Retina size, thus reducing the amount of screen space they take up when viewed at 100%
