Adding worksets/iview as links to an html file utilised in a KM Doc iview

Hi,
I have developed a home page using the KM Document iview, which utilzes an html page in path to document.
Now, On this home page, I want to display the links of worksets.
Example: On Clicking the link--> Leave Management(a workset), it should open the leave management and its sub part iviews as Leave Cancel, Leave Status etc.
Is it possible to display them on the same screen when the user clicks them? If it is possible, how to go about it?
I tried using
http://<portalserver:port>/irj/index.html?NavigationTarget=ROLES://<pcd location>
in the html file, but on clicking this link, instead of the workset, the whole portal page is loaded in a sub-window.
I don't have the option of creating a custom overview page in the back end; that's why following this approach.
Any inputs on this would be helpful?

Thanks Prashant,
Level 1 of the problem is solved.
Now I want When I click on the workset iview link,
It should open another workset iview in which the iviews are displayed as links.
Page 1
  (Workset Iview1)Clickable                                                    Workset Iview2 Clickable
When workset iview1 is clicked, it should go to a page
Link 1(an iview) Link 2(iview2) Link 3(iview3) and so on
how can I achieve this?

  • Validating links (xrefs) to HTML files

    I use (unstructured) FrameMaker 7 and WebWorks to create an HTML help system, thereby creating HTML files. I have another help system that is displayed in the UI that links to the help system files. Currently, I manually maintain the UI files, writing in HTML and manually verifying the links.
    I'd like to use FrameMaker to manage the second help system. I'd like to be able to validate my links to the HTML files. I can't figure out how. I've tried Hypertext markers like this:
    gotolink /help/topics/Login.html
    (and that path does indeed exist)
    And I've tried this format:
    message URL file:/help/topics/Login.html
    Frame tries to validate the first format but stops when it determines that file is not a Frame file. Frame doesn't seem to validate the second format.
    Is there a way to validate links to HTML files? Sorry if this is a clueless question...

    Well ... I've just checked some source files of mine, and can now confidently say that I linked to external files with the message openfile command, which then leaves the PC to work out what application to use for the file you're pointing to.
    Here's an example: message openfile ../eBooks/gateway.fb2 provides a link to an .fb2 file, and since I have a program on my PC to read .fb2 files clicking on the link opens the file in the correct application. message openfile proposal.htm opens proposal.htm in my default web browser.
    With the message openfile command, FrameMaker cheerfully accepts any target file you try to specify. For a quick check that you've specified the target correctly, hold down Ctrl and Alt before clicking on the hyperlink: the cursor changes to a pointing hand when you're over an active link.
    Oh, and before each three-monthly release of my biggest documentation set I used to create a list of hypertext markers (Special > List of ... > Markers, then Hypertext) to give me a single file where I could click diligently on each link and make sure it was correct.

  • Create a link to a .html file

    I'm creating a web page with a flash introduction, but the
    rest of the website
    is done in dreamweaver.
    At the end of my intro animation two buttons are displayed
    to go to two
    different parts of the website, I want these buttons to link
    to a .html file on
    my computer which is part of my site.
    Can anyone please tell me how to link the buttons in

    the local .html files on my computer?
    (I know simple action script e.g getURL() etc...)
    Thanks in advance.
    http://flashvideotutorials.blogspot.com/

    Well, it's really just getURL("page1.html", "_self");
    Create your button. Convert it to a movieclip. Click on the
    movieclip
    on the stage and give it an instance name. On the frame where
    the
    buttons are loaded in the timeline put something to the
    effect of:
    button1.onPress = function (){
    getURL("page1.html", "_self");
    button2.onPress = function (){
    getURL("page2.html", "_blank");

    I want to go from an HTML file to a spot in a PDF. By spot in a PDF, I mean a location marked by a bookmark. What is the equivalent in a PDF file to the anchor tag in HTML with a name attribute? What HTML code do I use? If I use Word to make the PDF, can I use Word's bookmark?

    You can possibly use "Named destination" instead of bookmarks.

  • Trouble adding a web url link to an existing file: 1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant:

    Hi There,
    We're trying to add a simple link to an existing Flash file. There looks to be at least 7 separate .as files and a separate swf that loads the main swf which all seems overly complex for what is essentially a page with six buttons on it.
    However, we need to add a URL to some of the text. So we converted the text to a button, added an instance name of <ssbpurchasetickets_btn> then added the following Actionscript into the actions layer on the frame the text/button appears:
    ssbpurchasetickets_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, ssbButtonPurchase);
    function ssbButtonPurchase(event:MouseEvent):void
    navigateToURL(new URLRequest("http://www.url.com/tickets.html"));
    When we publish the file we get the following error which seems to cascade into a whole bunch more errors:
    Description: 1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant: MouseEvent.
    Source: function ssbButtonPurchase(event:MouseEvent):void
    We added "ssb" onto the button and functions to ensure there were no conflicts but the same thing occurred. If we copy the button into a new file everything works so it must be conflicting with something in the main files.
    Any help would be MUCH appreciated!!!!
    Cheers

    Thanks for the reply Ned,
    The file is set to use AS3 and I'm pretty sure the original should be set to AS3 as the .as files look like AS3 syntax to me - here's a sample:
    protected function handleWwrdButtonClick(e:ButtonEvent):void {
    Browser.open(globalVar.xml.wwrd.item[0].@url, globalVar.xml.wwrd.item[0].@target);
    OmnitureTracker.trackFeaturedContentClick('http://www.url.com/movies/international', 'wwrd_button');
    timer.stop();
    timer.removeEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER, onTimer);
    I'm wondering if all the Actionscript has be placed into one of the .as files as there isn't any Actionscript in the Flash project - a part from the odd stop()
    Really stuck on this one (I'm not an expert at all) so any help in deciphering the project would be much appreciated.
    Cheers

  • How can i get all links from html file ?

    I tried some code:
    List<string> metas = new List<string>();
    string text = "";
    string mys = "";
    public List<string> LockedThreads(string filename)
    HtmlWeb web = new HtmlWeb();
    HtmlAgilityPack.HtmlDocument doc = new HtmlAgilityPack.HtmlDocument();
    doc.Load(filename, Encoding.UTF8);
    var metaTags = doc.DocumentNode.SelectNodes("//meta");
    if (metaTags != null)
    foreach (var tag in metaTags)
    if (tag.Attributes["name"] != null && tag.Attributes["content"] != null)
    text = tag.Attributes["name"].Value;
    mys = tag.Attributes["content"].Value;
    var linksOnPage = from lnks in doc.DocumentNode.Descendants()
    where lnks.Name == "a" &&
    lnks.Attributes["href"] != null &&
    lnks.InnerText.Trim().Length > 0
    select new
    Url = lnks.Attributes["href"].Value,
    Text = lnks.InnerText
    foreach (HtmlNode node in doc.DocumentNode
    .SelectNodes("//a/@href | //img/@src"))
    metas.Add(node.Name);
    In the var linksOnPage i'm getting all the links but some of them not only links for example the first item i see:
    [0] = { Url = "/", Text = "&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;" }
    Then the second item:
    [1] = { Url = "http://rotter.net/cgi-bin/forum/dcboard.cgi?az=login", Text = "התחבר" }
    Next i want to add another loop or variable that will contain only the links after im src for example:
    <img
    src="http://mysite.com"
    border="0"></a></TD><TD
    ALIGN="right"
    VALIGN="TOP"
    WIDTH="55%">
    So to get only http://mysite.com
    So in the end i will have two Lists:
    First List will contain all links from the html file.
    Second List only links that are in img src

    Ok i'm using regex now and i can get the links i need:
    List<string> metas = new List<string>();
    List<string> metas1 = new List<string>();
    string text = "";
    string mys = "";
    public List<string> LockedThreads(string filename)
    string[] fall = File.ReadAllLines(filename);
    foreach (string hh in fall)
    if (hh.Contains("http://rotter.net") && hh.Contains("locked")||
    hh.Contains("locked_icon_general") ||
    hh.Contains("locked_icon_anchor") ||
    hh.Contains("icon_anchor") ||
    hh.Contains("locked_icon_fire") ||
    hh.Contains("locked_icon_sport")||
    hh.Contains("locked_icon_camera")||
    hh.Contains("locked_icon_movie"))
    Regex linkParser = new Regex(@"\b(?:https?://|www\.)\S+\b", RegexOptions.Compiled | RegexOptions.IgnoreCase);
    foreach (Match m in linkParser.Matches(hh))
    metas.Add(m.Value);
    So now in the metas i have in this case two links.
    For example the first link is from this block in the file:
    The link i got is : http://rotter.net/forum/Images/hot_icon_anchor.gif
    And this is the right link from this block but now how do i get the text from this block and how i connect how do i know that this text belong to the link ? I need to add this text from this block to a new List. Before all that i counted on my own lines
    and got the text but that's a bad idea.
    I need somehow to get: שרשור תשדירי בחירות מרוכז:
    To get the text between the ToolTip',' and the second ',' but not from all the html file only in places of this two links i extracted.
    <TD ALIGN="RIGHT"
    VALIGN="TOP">
    <body onmousemove="overhere()">
    <a onmouseover="EnterContent('ToolTip','שרשור תשדירי בחירות מרוכז:','<u><span style=color:#000099;>כתב: menahem בתאריך: 03.03.15
    שעה: 08:51</span></u><br>1.<br>http://youtu.be/utUaqyiRkJ8<br><br><br>...'); Activate();"
    onmouseout="deActivate()"
    href="javascript:void(0)">
    <img src="http://rotter.net/forum/Images/hot_icon_anchor.gif"
    border="0"></a></TD><TD
    ALIGN="right"
    VALIGN="TOP"
    WIDTH="55%">
    <FONT CLASS='text15bn'><FONT
    FACE="Arial">
    <a href="http://rotter.net/cgi-bin/forum/dcboard.cgi?az=read_count&om=187966&forum=scoops1"><b>

  • How do i link something to html dreamweaver page??

    hi i am having  a problem.
    I have produced several .swf files to be used as part of an interactive cd. I have produced the home page in dreamweaver, with a button link for each of the movie clips, but when the clip ends it just stays on this clip, i need a kind of "home page" link at the end of the clip to take the viewer back to the page with all of the links to the other movies on, i am desperate for help here, any advice is most appreciated!

    Hi,
    At the end of the clip, you need to link to one more html page which links to all other swfs.
    To embed a swf file in the html page, you need to use the object tag like given below.
    <object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=10,0,0,0" width="550" height="400" id="one" align="middle">
    <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
    <param name="allowFullScreen" value="false" />
    <param name="movie" value="your_home_swf_name.swf" /><param name="quality" value="high" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" /> <embed src="your_swf_file.swf" quality="high" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="550" height="400" name="Untitled-1" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" allowFullScreen="false" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer" />
    </object>
    You need to add this line of code in a html file and add a link to this html file in the last html file.
    Thanks

    It's hard to tell what you're asking, but you should probably take a look at java.applet.AppletContext.showDocument.

  • Can I link my Media Query to a HTML file?

    Can I make this below:
    <link href="mobile.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="only screen and (min-width:300px) and (max-width:320px)">
    to link to an HTML file instead like -> <link href="mobile.html" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="only screen and (min-width:300px) and (max-width:320px)"> ?
    Thanks in advance.

    I'm trying to get the browser to look at what "media width" and then autodirect to another html file. So as an example:
    Webpage opens, looks to see if i'm on a device that has a maximum width of 320px if NO then it stays as is. if YES, it loads another html file that is 320px freindly.
    My website has stacks of java going on, and will not work on mobile devices properly. Just changing the css file won't do anything close to what the website looks like.
    I've searched and searched and found nothing.

  • Open Local HTML file in app browser?

    Hi,
    We have a question, we would like to link to a local HTML file form within a DPS article, we need the HTML file to open up in the in-app browser; we cannot use a web content overlay for this particular feature. We are able to achieve this easily with content from an online source by creating a Go To URL link with the website in the URL section.
    Can this be done form the HTML resource folder and can this be tested in the adobe content viewer?
    Or even better can we easily link to a local folder using the Go TO URL with a local file path? If so what would this be?
    Thanks
    Daydream

    Yes, you can open an HTML file in an in-app browser by adding the HTML file to the HTMLResources.zip. Create a button with a Go To URL action that looks something like this:
    HTMLResources/HTML_Local/index.html
    Make sure that you create your HTMLResources.zip file properly and upload it to the folder. You can test this in the Adobe Content Viewer on either the iPad or the Desktop as long as you preview the folio (not the article or layout).
    Basically, you use the same technique to link to the HTML file that you use to link to PDF files. For details, see the DPS Tips app > Advanced Overlays > Linking to PDF Files.

  • Help with html files when placing Web Content overlay

    Hi there,
    We have an educational app with lots of interactive exercises - all of which were initially designed in Flash.
    I have converted the fla files into hmtl using Wallaby. For each fla file, Wallaby creates a js, css and html file as well as an assets folder.
    When I place the Web Content frame, and link it to the html file, do I link it to the actual html file Wallaby created? It won't let me select the folder with all of the files in it as is, and I can't link it to a zip file either... So how does it recognise the assets if I only select the html file? (see screenshot)
    Or do I need to add an HTMLResources folder and link it to that?
    Thanks in advance for any help given.

    You link to the HTML file but make sure these things are in their own folder or InDesign will add EVERYTHING in the folder that has the html file in it.

  • How to allow server behaviours in .html files?

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to get DW9 to allow server behaviours in files
    with .htm and .html extensions.
    I've edited 'MMDocumentTypes.xml' accordingly but this
    results in a C++ application error so I'm guessing it's not the
    right way. I'm pretty sure it worked in DW8 but I guess I was just
    lucky there.
    What's the correct way to do this?

    Hi Priya,
    Try the following and see if it meets your requirement
    1) Go to root/documents. Go to folder->details-> Settings->Propereties. Click on the tab 'Access links' and copy the webdav URL.
    (This is the URL where u'll be uploading your folder CompanyFolder)
    2)Go to your desktop. Right Click on My Network Places.Click on open.
    3). Click on add a network place.
    4). Click on "Choose another network location"
    5). Paste your copied url and click on next.
    6). Enter your portal userid and password.
    7) It will now open the root/documents folder in a browser window.
    8) Copy ur folder 'CompanyFolder' into this window. Now go to portal under root/documents if the folder exists.
    Now that ur folder has been uploaded, now we'll look into the links of the files.
    Now for the links within ur html file to work, you will have to do is to provide the appropriate path of the connecting files.
    You could find the path of the individual files by going into root/documents. Right click on the file name and say 'Copy Shortcut'. This will provide u with the required path of the file.

  • Method to automatically truncate html file names?

    I am using RoboHelp HTML 10 and building WebHelp.
    I import a Word file for content.
    Some of our topic names are long as in this example, which is over 60 characters.
    Create the Hierarchical Structure by Adding Elements Separately\
    Whne RH builds the html file for this topic, it creates the html file with the long name.
    When I put this up on our build server, this actually stops the build process for the product.
    I've been told that these lengthy file names are causing the problem.
    I can manually truncate the file names in RH, but there are a lot of them.
    Is there any way. to tell RH to restrict hrml file names to a certain length?
    Thanks for your help.
    Jenny

    First of all there is no way to automatically change the file names. By default RH creates topic file names from the topic name and as the Word import uses the default setting, that is what you get. However I suspect that your Developers are only telling you half the truth. I suspect it is a combination of the file names AND the directory path that is the issue. Try shortening the path and see if that makes a difference.
