Parent key is not found , SQLException

Hello,
I have simple master -details relations , those are used ion the same page of the application,
in the normal situation, upon commit first INSERT for the master table is executed, then Insert of the details tables,
but in only one scenario an INSERT is created for a detail before the insert of the master table, so I receive the SQLException which indicates that the parent key is not found, which is actually happening in this case, as the master table does not have a key yet, for that corresponding record,
any ideas or hints about what could be the reason that the detail insert statement performed before the master's.
please notice that the executable s are ordered in the page definition as the master comes first

I already have an Association between the master and that detail entities.
to be more clear:
the master's ID is set using override create method of the entityImp class.
all the other details are working fine, on the same page, this issue is happening for thin one detail entity.

Check the adapter that is attached to the child table , compile it again and try adding .
BTW which connector you are using and paste the error trace from log files

JBO-25019: Entity row of key null not found even though key filled in??

Hi All,
I'm using jdev 10.1.2, adf bc's and jsp's.
I have a view object derived from 2 entity objects, which the user is allowed edit. It's a standard adf edit. Even though the key fields are filled in i keep getting this error when the page is submitted... "JBO-25019: Entity row of key null not found in Milk. " where milk is one of the entities
I've checked that the fields are bound, which they are. I created a test method in the app module where i got the current row (i.e. the row i'm editing) and got the key values no problem. I've created the page again, same problem.
This problem occurs in another edit page which uses the same view object. I've other edit pages which use different view objects, but who are based on the same entities and there is no problem.
i cannot understand why. I have tried creating the view object again and creating a new edit page but i still get the same error.
I can't understand why this is happening. If anyone could help, i'd be really grateful.

I take your point about not all databases support triggers.
However I am not using DBSequence...the above is a bug surely.For non-oracle SQLBuilders, if RETURNING clause is not supported by the DB in insert/update DML, then to perform refresh-on-insert/update BC4J calls the corresponding entity's doRefreshSQL() method. The javadoc says:
if refresh-on-insert or update setting is set on an attribute which
is a primary key attribute, then this method will fail to fetch the entity as the primary key
in the databse for the equivalent row would have potentially changed. If that's true,
then subclasses need to implement this method and perform "custom" sql to fetch the refresh-attrs
based on some unique criteria for this entity.

We are using jDev 11.1.1.5.0.
I am facing the issue Entity row with key oracle.jbo.Key is not found in my entity object.
I have EO based VO and I am performing some operations on the VO. Based on user actions on UI, I need delete some records of the entity and I am using stored proc to delete those records and committing the changes in stored proc it self. After invoking stored procedure I am committing the changes performed in UI using ADF bindings.

Where you are calling stored procedure which deletes records in the DB ?
Try to override doDML() i your entity impl, as follows:

Also, ensure that the procedure deletes the same set of records as well you in the middle tier.

UI error "The requested lookup key was not found in any active" workaround

Hi All.
Some of you might have this problem when making a UI-Connection "The requested lookup key was not found in any active activation context"
Talking to SAP Support and Gianluigi Bagnoli about the problem here is a sum of the problem and the workaround to prevent it (at least untill SAP development fix the problem)
Some facts:
- The error is present in SBO2005A SP01 and SBO2005B SP00, SBO2007A should not be affected
- The error occur because the SAP client fail to provide the correct/entire connection-string
- The problem is actually an underlying problem from Microsoft (try searching google with the error message)
- Normally after the error occur, you can go to Administration > Add-ons and start the add-on manually without problems
Some additional observations
- The error mostly happen just after startup of a windows machine
- We have had a couple of customers that have had the problem, then upgraded the SAP client to a new patchlevel and got rid of the problem (but we have also had customers where this did not help)
- Seem to be happening more often of slower machines
Workaround
Knowing that this problem is tied to and incorrect connection string is also the "workaround"... What you could do is to create exception handling around the UI connection, and if it fails connection using the development connection string (like you do during development) The connection string is: 0030002C0030002C00530041005000420044005F00440061007400650076002C0050004
Using this method, you will be able to establish a connection even if the client is unable to provide you a correct connectionstring, but the draw-back of this workaround is that the add-on will be indicated as failed in the Add-on Manager and the user is not able to stop the add-on in any way other than disconnection from the company.

I am looking for a solution to the error "The requested lookup key was not found in any active activation context" too.
In our add-on we do two SboGuiApi.Connect(sConnectionString), one from MyAddon.exe and the other one from MyAddon.dll. The .exe catches messages and .dll interacts with UI to paint forms etc. It is since the .exe and .dll are not in the same thread. The first connection works fine in the .exe, then that connection string is passed to the dll and the error is raised. The rare thing is why it works fine from the development enviroment, but doesn't work when SAP is starting the Addon?
Is it possible connect twice?
Can we connect in the .exe using the connection string received from SAP and in the .dll using the development connection string?

Count(*) returns 'Column 'Count' not found' SQLException

I am trying to get the count from a table using the following:
String query = "SELECT COUNT(*) FROM myTable;"
I know that the connection is open and working because I am getting back an SQLException:
'Column 'Count' not found' .
The same command works fine at the command line. I would be grateful for any suggestions as to why JDBC sends my app searching for a field named count in my table whereas the command line returns the expected number.

JBO-25019: Entity row of key oracle.jbo.Key[1068] not found in SysUser

Hello,
I got the above error after creating a new row in the table. The user id is populated with the following statements:
SequenceImpl userSeq = new SequenceImpl("sys_users_s", getDBTransaction());
setUserId(userSeq.getSequenceNumber());
Does this has anything to do with the cache not updated with the new row?

I had a similar problem and Steve M pointed me to the answer. It could a simple matter of how you are using findbyKey.

Private Key Not Found Error in Ldaps

Hi,
I am facing "Private Key Not Found" Error in ldaps. The key and the SSL certificate is stored under the same location. The certificate is self signed certificate and in .pem format. When I am trying to install the certifcate through SUN ONE Console it throws the following error
"Either this certificate is for another server, or this certificate was not requested using this server".
can any one help me in this regard.

Attribute key cannot be found : Data present but not processed

Hi there,
I know this question has been ask several time and I went through a lot of proposed solution but none were successful in my case. My cube processed successfully for month but now I have the following error :
Errors in the OLAP storage engine: The attribute key cannot be found when processing: Table: 'EventMember', Column: 'Id', Value: '22560966'. The attribute is 'Id'.
To explain my case here what I've got.
A dimension [Member Unique] where there is a bigint Id and some attributes. The only defined attribute in the dimension is Id.
When I process fully this dimension the query issued by SSAS to SQL (using the profiler) is the following :
SELECT
DISTINCT
[dbo_Member].[Id] AS [dbo_MemberId0_0]
FROM [dbo].[Member] AS [dbo_Member]
I verified that the Id 22560966 is present in the table and in the resulting set and that is the case.
Then I have the measure group EventMember based on a named query doing the following :

FROM dbo.Member AS m
WHERE EXISTS
SELECT 1 AS Expr1
FROM dbo.Event AS g INNER JOIN
dbo.MemberHistory AS h ON h.Id = g.MemberId INNER JOIN

This query returns also the row 22560966.
When I process fully the measure group EventMember the query issued by SSAS is :

I did try to allow missing key attribute error in the process option, and it ran successfully. It allowed me to issue an MDX statement on my cube to check if the dimension member was present. And it was not the case. Hence the error I think. The MDX statement
was :
SELECT [Member Unique].[Id].&[22560966] on 0
FROM MyCube
The the final question would be : Why this member which is returned by the SQL query is not present in my dimension ?
I tried deletiong my cube it did not changed a thing. A noticeable thing is that the faulty attributes key are the same every time.

SSAS Cube - Throws "attribute key not found" when the key exists

Hi,
I created a cube with 2 fact tables ( CabecNF and ItensNF ) and with some dimensions, in this case Cliente.
When I proccess the cube it throws this error:
Internal error: The operation terminated unsuccessfully.
Errors in the OLAP storage engine: The process operation ended because the number of errors encountered during processing reached the defined limit of allowable errors for the operation.
Errors in the OLAP storage engine: An error occurred while processing the 'ITENSNF' partition of the 'ITENSNF' measure group for the 'SCA' cube from the SCA_Cube_ database.
Errors in the OLAP storage engine: The process operation ended because the number of errors encountered during processing reached the defined limit of allowable errors for the operation.
Server: The operation has been cancelled.
Errors in the OLAP storage engine: An error occurred while processing the 'CABECNF' partition of the 'CABECNF' measure group for the 'SCA' cube from the SCA_Cube_ database.
Errors in the OLAP storage engine: The attribute key cannot be found when processing: Table: 'dbo_CLIENTE', Column: 'CODIGO', Value: '6571'. The attribute is 'CLIENTEID'.

I understand that is not finding the ClienteID 6571. But I've checked on my database and he exists, and he has itens in the CabecNF wich has itens on ItensNF.
I've already customized the error configuration on the dimensions, but it didn't solve the problem.
What could be causing this behavior?

i did nt get what are trying say by this:
"First the Cliente dimension reported 500 rows skipped due to having the same name(even the name not being a key), so I changed the dimension and set the "name" property as not aggregable. Re-processed the dimension, and this time no skipped rows"

if yes can you go and check the view or data source query that is making this dimension have the value for the column 'CODIGO' 6571
Yes, the process of the dimension was successful. At first successful with warnings, and then successful without warnings.
But I found the problem: The Cliente dimension has relathionship with the Seguimento dimension, and the Cliente 6571 had NULL at that relationship. I fixed that and the cube was processed successfully.
It was a bit hard to find the problem because the error didn't mentioned anything about the Seguimento dimension.

Problem during Add row in View Object : View Row of Key Not found

I'm facing this problem during insert of new row in the view object. I'm having 2 entities that belong to the same DB table (I need this because one is required with the composition assoc and the other one without it).
I have three tables, COMPANY, USERS and PRIVILEGES.
Company (1) to USERS (N)
USERS (1) to PRIVILGES (N)
While adding users for a specific company , i get this error msg.
P.S: I'm not getting this error, if i add company, then user. Only if i directly add users i'm getting this error.

once again thanks for ur reply.
as my vo are based on procedure, i know that i can't update the table using them.
i only wanted to insert the rows in the vo and show it to user (only for selection purpose).
Now my problem is sorted as i have changed the code like this-
Row new_row=vo1.createRow();
new_row.setAttribute(index,vo2.getAttribute(index)) ;
vo1.insertRow(new_row);
Earlier i was only inserting a new row, without creating any row.

I'm developing my own content management system and I used the concept of URL Routing in ASP.NET and everything works just fine until I shifted developing my website from a desktop to a laptop. The problem happens only with the pages related to URL

Error for the fact table while processing the cube - attribute key cannot be found when processing

Please help as I am new to SSAS and this is urgent requirement. This is a MOLAP cube and below is the error that I am receiving when processing the cube. The cube is set to Prrocess Full. Several similar errors are popped up for various dimensions.
"Errors in the OLAP storage engine: The attribute key cannot be found when processing: Table: 'Fact_Table', Column: 'ID', Value: '1'. The attribute is 'Id'. Errors in the OLAP storage engine: The attribute key was converted to an unknown member because
the attribute key was not found. Attribute Id of Dimension: 17 - Ves - PoC Cont from Database: DB, Cube: IPNCube, Measure Group: iSrvy, Partition: Partition1, Record: 1."

It will be really great if you can clear some of my doubts:
To my information, all the dimensions need to be processed first and then the fact table will be processed.
So if the ID's are not present in the dimension tables, then it should not be present in the Fact table either.
Here we found null values in the dimension table and the ID's were present in the Fact table. What might be the reasons causing such situation?
Also how frequently the cube needs to be processed? Currently the ETL which processes the cube, is scheduled in a SQL Job Agent on hourly basis everyday.
Is there any possibilty that the cube might be under processing state and the SQL job for the next run getting executed trying to access and process the cube while it was still processing?
