Addition of fields in a user defined infotype

hi everyone,
well i had a doubt about adding new fields to a user defined infotype. the infotype was created long time back and is working fine in production. but now the user wants some more fields to be added into it. it already has data in it.. is it feasiable to add fields to it.? will it hamper the table? will there be any problem if i add the fields to a infotype which already has data?
please give ur suggestion and procedure to solve this issue.
se14 is the transaction to adjust tables. using this will affect the table?

Hi,
you can add the fields. The system itself will take care of the readjusting the existing,But note that the maximum length of any infotype cann't exceed 1502 chars..

To access pseudo columns you can specify an alias or use the index on the column (e.g. getInt(1)).

Populating multiple image fields with single user-defined image

Hello,
I am fairly new to LiveCycle and am looking to include a user-specified image in the header of each page of my dynamic form.
I've succeeded in including the image form at the head of each page using a master page, but each image form only affects the page it is on. Ideally, I would like to have the user be able to select the image on one page, and have all of the image fields populate.
Is there any way to use a script to populate the other images when the first image is selected by the user? I tried setting the rawValue of one image to that of another once the other is chosen, but had no success.

Thank you for the responses. I have already updated awhile ago, so I am wondering what happened. Not sure if during the server update, some files were replaced (unless I totally forgot to update to 1.0.1 on this site). So I reinstalled 1.0.1, deleted the includes folder from the server and uploaded my includes folder and it now works again.

Error while linking user defined table to user defined field using vb6.0

I am creating a userdefined field on a SAPB1 table(PDN1) using vb 6.0
I am trying to link this field to a user defined table.
When i do that i get the following error:
"The field 'Related table' should consist of 8 alphanumeric chracters with no valid or default values"
When i try to do the same thing from SAPB1(not using code) there is no such problem.
My vb code is as follows:

field in the user-defined table to which the new field OB_Locn (in the DB it will be U_OB_Locn) is linked to...
So, it should be preferrably of the same size.

User defined field in SD and its link to Value field in COPA (??)

Dear All,
We have created one "Z" field i.e. user defined field and its in VBRP Table. This is a quantity field. to update the values in this field we have used an exit in sales and distribution module. Now, by defining this exit values are correctly populated in VPRP table on line item basis.
Requirement here is we need to get this field in COPA, for same i have carried out the quantity field assignment to value field (KE4M).
Even after this configuration profitability segment is not updated.

In the past I did something similar and had to use function module EXIT_SAPLKEAB_001 in enhancement COPA0002 to populate the field. To use this exit you'll first need to add a user exit id to your valuation strategy (transaction KE4U). The help on the function module is pretty good, but if you run into a problem let me know.

AIST0002-User Exit - Validation of user defined field

I have implemented the enhancement aist0002. I added a user defined field in a user defined subcreen and added it to the leasing tabstrip. I would like to validate this field against a another field in sap's leasing subscreen. In the pai of the user defined subsrceen the field of the other subscreen does not get filled. Is there a way to access the field of the other subscreen on the leasing tabstrip from the pai module of the user defined subscreen?

Data gets moved to anlu or anla if it was already built. They are empty when it is a create transaction(as01).

After the subscreen is processed it exports the data to global variable.
The problem is the pai module for the user subscreen 9000, the field anla-leafi is not filled. This field is located in sap's subsceen 1403. It has data in the screen field. My assumption is that it would be accessible as global data that could be used by my user defined subscreen once I began the validation in the pai of subscreen 9000.
Could you provide more insight on how I would access the field from the other subscreen?

User defined fields in SC with searchhelp ?

is it possible to link a searchhelp to user defined fields in a shoppincart ?
I have already defined 2 fields in ZINCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF which I can see and edit when I create a shoppincart, but for 1 field I would like to add a searchhelp which connects to the backend for retrieval of possible values. is this possible ?

User Defined Fields can be managed by choosing User Defined Fields and Manage User Defined Fields from the Tools menu. I'm not sure about yours but on our system the UDFs we use are under the Marketing Documents tab.
Click Marketing Documents and Title. Make the Title row highlighted in yellow and click ADD. It is then up to you what you call your UDFs. Make sure they are in the correct format (Alphanumeric etc)

SBO crashes on changing user defined field setting for a form

Hi,
when i try to change the user defined field settings(Tools->User-Defined Fields->Settings) for a form, say Sales order form, on clicking on OK button SBO crashes displaying runtime error messagebox.
This happens only when my addon is running.

Limitations of User Defined attributes in USR.

I added a notes field to the user defined fields of a user, customer wanted a textarea to makes notes in reagarding the user in question.
Can someone tell me where the limitations of these fields are listed?
I added a large textfield and the system happily accepted the size and made a clob in the db.
I have added the permissions in the policy to make it visible in create as well as in view and modify, all that works fine.
However, when I modify the field by simply writing a small note in it....
I save the change, no exceptions, no error whatsoever
the correct data gets into the clob field in the USR table
but the text area in the user view show the entity object name and reference/instance instead...
i.e.
i add the text "test" into the text area, press save
the fields then shows me...

So, I am looking for where this limitation is mentioned in the manuals or trying to find out if its a bug.
Reason I am wondering is because there is a field (USR.USR_NOTE) in the DB which is a CLOB but I cant
find any reference to that in the User Configuration, i.e. what does the system use it for?
So, if there is a limitation on the size of fields in the User Configuration, where can I see them?
I looked in the System and developer manuals and I see nothing on that there.

Save and close/open both forms. In Enter or Query modes, when ever user navigate to Password field, it is disabled and not editable.

Formatted Search on User Defined Table

on the header fields of a delivery document, Why not this
select $[SALES_BUDGET.U_AcctCode]
on a field in the User defined Table ? Is it the syntax ?
