AddRequestObject has been deprecated while adding a resouce to a request

Hi Friends,
I have created a schedule task to create a request and to add users to it and also to provision a resource to the user. It is creating a request and adding a user successfully.
But while adding resource to the request by using the correct request key and object key, I am getting a compilation error.
This is the statment I am giving "requestIntf.addRequestObject(reqkey,objkey);"
I am getting the compilation error as "addRequestObkect(reqkey, objkey) in Thor.API.Operations.tcRequestOperationsIntf has been deprecated"
Did research in google but did not find anything. Can you please let me know what I am doing wrong.

Using API : - you can use tcFormInstanceOperationsIntf api method setProcessFormData
setProcessFormData
public void setProcessFormData(long plProcessInstanceKey,
java.util.Map phAttributeList)
throws Thor.API.Exceptions.tcAPIException,
Thor.API.Exceptions.tcInvalidValueException,
Thor.API.Exceptions.tcNotAtomicProcessException,
Thor.API.Exceptions.tcFormNotFoundException,
Thor.API.Exceptions.tcRequiredDataMissingException,
Thor.API.Exceptions.tcProcessNotFoundException,
tcAPIException

In the case of a first-time save, all the required data must be provided. In the case of subsequent saves, only data being updated need be provided.
Parameters:
plProcessInstanceKey - The key of the process instance in the system.
phAttributeList - An array of tcMapping objects, each used to specify the attribute name-value pairs to be used to save data to the form
Throws:
tcAPIException - an error code of DOBJ.USR_PASSWORD_DOES_NOT_MATCH_POLICY might be set within this exception. If that's the case, one or many password policy rules were not met for password field in the form.
tcInvalidValueException

                   BufferedInputStream bis = new BufferedInputStream(fis);
    dis = new DataInputStream(bis);

    Can anyone tell me what should I use instead of readline()?

    Read the API. It says you should make use of BufferedReader instead of DataInputStream to use readLine()

  • OAWebBeanFactory has been deprecated

    Hi,
    I'm new to OA Framework as well as java.. I'm trying to dynamically create a submit button on a standard page.. I'm using getWebBeanFactory.).createWebBean(pageContext,"BUTTON_SUBMIT") to create this in the processRequest of the Custom page controller and using personalization replace the standard page controller with the custom one.. I get this warning when i compile my custom controller class..
    "warning: createWebBean(oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAPageContext,java.lang.String) in oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAWebBeanFactory has been deprecated"..
    Here is my code from the processRequest
    ============================
    OASubmitButtonBean oasb= (OASubmitButtonBean)pageContext.getWebBeanFactory().createWebBean(pageContext,"BUTTON_SUBMIT");
    oasb.setID("xxWorkOrderRepButton");
    oasb.setUINodeName("xxWorkOrderRepButton");
    oasb.setEvent("xxWorkOrderRepButton");
    oasb.setText("PrintWorkOrder");
    webBean.addIndexedChild(oasb);
    ====================================
    Can you please explain why this is happening?
    Thanks in Advance,
    Shree.

    Hi Abhishek,
    Thank you so much for taking your time and replying. I really appreciate it.
    I am sorry to bother you again, however, I have few questions.
    I have tried personalization to add the message Check Box to the standard page but every time I add the item, it gets applied to Multiple pages. I have heard that the Self Service OTL page is very complicated.
    If you are familiar with the OTL page. First you go the resp. and then click "CREATE TIME CARD" and then the user inputs the hours and then clicks Continue and finally comes to the REVIEW page and this is the Page where I need to put the Message Check Box. However, when I add the item, it gets applied to both the REVIEW page and the one before that.
    Could you please advice on that and also being a beginner, I would request if you could also send me may be a sample code as to how to handle the partial page render event in pfr.
    I did try doing the whole thing programmatically, like Initially disabling the SUBMIT button and then Adding a Message Check Box to the same Region but its just getting complex.
    Your approach seams much better and simpler.
    Sorry again if I am bothering you, but I would really grateful for all your help.
    Thanks again,
    Raj.

    A short look into the javadoc reveals javax.faces.el.ValueBinding Deprecated. This has been replaced by ValueExpression.So you are using the wrong class to get to a value using EL inside one or more of your bean classes.

  • Warning: [deprecation] getRealPath in ServletRequest has been deprecated

    I have extended class HttpServletRequestWrapper for custom implementation I have neither overriden the method getRealPath(java.lang.String) nor has this method been used/accessed anywhere. I still get following warning
    [javac] /home/pangav1/dev/upgrade/webapps/common/src/minimed/ddms/webapp/common/filter/LocaleFilter.java:222: warning: [deprecation] getRealPath(java.lang.String) in javax.servlet.ServletRequest has been deprecated
    [javac] public static class HttpRequest extends HttpServletRequestWrapper {
    [javac] ^
    Can anyone tell me the reason why compiler shows the warning message?

    It should certainly not be ignored, especially if you don't understand the reason of deprecation and don't know the alternatives, which is the case of the topicstarter. In any case of deprecated classes/methods, the reasoning of deprecation and any alternatives should already be described in the API docs.

  • Jclient 10.1.2 - method setBaseErrorHandler has been deprecated ????

    I receive the following error from the Jclient statement :
    JUMetaObjectManager.setBaseErrorHandler(new JUErrorHandlerDlg());
    Warning(100,27): method setBaseErrorHandler(oracle.jbo.uicli.binding.JUErrorHandler) in class oracle.jbo.uicli.mom.JUMetaObjectManager has been deprecated
    We attempted to correct this looking at the default boot strap code the wizard creates but it uses the same call. Can someone tell me how to modify the boot strap code ?
    It causes strange behavior in the client with no errors being reported back to the client at all with its current method.
    thanks,

    Rob,
    its only a deprecation warning and should not bear any functionality loss because the class is still available and functional.
    The correct call is
    JUMetaObjectManager.setErrorHandler(new JUErrorHandlerDlg());

  • SetUrl has been deprecated

    Hi,
    I have an advanced table and depending on the value returned I am setting a link for the messageStyledTextBean. When I run the page it runs correctly but I am getting the below warning:

    Use setDestination(String url) api, as setUrl(java.lang.String) is depricated.

  • Weblogic 8.1 SP4 - weblogic.utils.AssertionError has been deprecated???

    Hi All,
    My web application has been running great all these years with WebLogic 7.0 SP2. I am upgrading it to Weblogic 8.1 SP4.
    Few classes have the following code snippet:
    throw new weblogic.utils.AssertionError("impossible case: " + idx);
    Here idx is int.
    This code snippet never gave any trouble with WebLogic 7.0 SP2. Now when I am building the application with WebLogic 8.1 SP4 and JDK 1.4, it gives the following warning at the build time:
    [javac] warning: weblogic.utils.AssertionError in weblogic.utils has been deprecated
    [javac] throw new weblogic.utils.AssertionError("impossible case: " + idx);
    I am trying to identify, if this class has been deprecated in WebLogic 8.1, then what is the alternative class which I can use?
    I searched in all BEA documentations, but did not get any reference.
    Can some one help me, if you know about it.
    I would highly appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    Ashish.

    Hi,
    As you are using WLS8.1 It means your JDK will be JDK1.4 and there is a Bug already available with JDK1.4 for the Same issue ... Please find the below link:

    AND

    Please try to switch to JRockit JDK.
