Address information on BP General ledger

hi experts,
How we can get address information related to the particular Business partner in BP's general ledger screen.
Am getting the BP code and name in the standard PLD itself, but i can not fetch address information to the PDL.
If am trying to do so, system will pick the first record information and list it out in print preview.
any possibilities to get address  information on PLD ?
regards,
Sanju M S

Hi Sanju,
It is not possible in SAPB1. Check the thread,

  • Hi There, What is General ledger Transfer in Accounting Close Cycle (INV)

    Hi There,

    Hi,
You can transfer a summarized inventory/work in process activity for a given period
into the general ledger interface. Using Journal Import in Oracle General Ledger, you can then post this information to the general ledger. You can perform the general ledger transfer at any time during an open period-not just at period close. The transfer loads summary or detail accounting activity for any open period into the general ledger interface, including both inventory and work in process entries. When more than one period is open, the transfer selects transactions from the
first open period up to the entered transfer date, and passes the correct accounting date and financial information into the general ledger interface.
When transferring detail entries, the accounting date in the GL_interface table is
populated with the period end date of the accounting period. When you transfer
summary entries with two periods open, and you enter a transfer date in the second period, the transfer process assigns the period one end date for all the summarized transactions in period one, and assigns the entered transfer date for the summarized transactions in period two. Using Journal Import and Post Journals processes in Oracle General Ledger, you can then post this information to the general ledger.
Interim transfers allow you to reconcile and transfer information weekly, for
example, making the month-end period close process much simpler and faster.
Note: If time permits, run the general ledger transfer process up to the period end date before closing the period. Since you cannot reopen a closed period, running this process before period close allows you to proof the summary transactions and make adjustments to the period via new inventory transactions as necessary. This makes the month-end period close process much simpler and faster
    Thanks,

    Hi
We have  SAP standard reports for GL,AR & AP.
    Menu path :
    For GL
    Accounting->Financial accounting->general ledger->Information system->general ledger reports
    For AR
    Accounting->Financial accounting->AR->Information system->Reports for AR accounting
    For AP
    Accounting->Financial accounting->AP->Information system->Reports for AP accounting
If your reporting requirement not fulfilled by SAP standard reports means you can create reports by using report painter and report writer.

  • Reviewing General Ledger Accounts - No line item detail

I have just started with a new company using SAP Business One for the first time. My frustration is when reviewing the general ledger line items that there is no detail coming through that lets me see what the amounts relate to.  No Description or Vendor  Name.  There is absolutely no way I can see if there are any posting errors to accounts unless I drill into each and every line item to see what it is.  I have been into Form Settings but the fields required are not available options to select.
Every accounting system I have ever used has this standard feature - from off the shelf packages to customised SAP R/3.
I have spoken to the Implementation Company's Support Line and they have said that it would be a costly exercise to request a report that provides this information.
I can't accept that this is standard - why would anyone use the system????
I guess I just want to hear that this is not the norm with SAP Business One
    Thanks

Try the General Ledger Report, there is a little more detail there - the BP Name is, I'm sure, included in that and you still get the drill down.
In the account balance screen, you can add the "Details" field which may give you more information as it usually contains the BP Code. It is not a difficult exercise for you support team to add a formatted search to populat that with the account name instead - it is a reasonably common customisation.

  • How to implement a General Ledger in Dynpro

Has anyone tried to implement a general ledger in Dynpro using a table?
In a general ledger, you want the time dimension going across the top in separate columns, and tracked items going down the left hand side.
The trouble is, the Dynpro table only binds context elements to a column rather than having the option of binding to a row. I can see why this is, but it is still makes life difficult for me.
Like the table, my data is coming in on a column by column basis with the first column being the date, followed by all the stock ledger items pertaining to that date.
I want to display a full fiscal year on one page so this means having twelve columns for each of the fiscal months, and one column for the line item names (units sold, inventory, value of sales ... etc)
One idea for implementing this was to create a generic structure containing twelve attributes. Each attribute would contain the values associated with a particular fiscal month. I would then create a node in my view context based on this structure and bind each column in my table to the corresponding fiscal month attribute in this structure.
Upon loading the stock ledger data, I would create a series of node instances for each one of my stock ledger items and copy the data into the appropriate attribute.
This procedure seems REALLLY complex and I am hoping there is someone out there who may have a simpler solution.
    Any suggestions?

Just an adendum to this thread.
I have now got the display working correctly for this application ...ie. the fiscal periods are displayed in columns and the attributes for each fiscal period are displayed row by row.
Now I am faced with the challenge of update the data on the database once it is edited by the users.
I can check the .isChangedByClient flag to tell which rows were edited but I also need to know which column(s) were edited since they contain the data that needs to be passed to my update routine.
So far the only way I can think of implementing this is to maintain a parallel copy of the ledger and do a comparison of the "before" and "after".  With this information I generate my own list of edited columns.  YUCK!
Perhaps if there was a validation event that was fired whenever a cell was changed then I could hook into that and maintain my own "isChanged" list of columns but I don't see anything like that.
    Any suggestions?

  • Payment accounted in AP but not posted in General Ledger

    Helloo everyone,
    I have an issue.
Some Payments have been accounted in AP. However when querying the account in General ledger nothing is found.
As you can see from the above Accounting has been processed and GL date is 26 Feb 2015, However same information cannot be found in GL.
Grateful if anyone can pinpoint me to scripts or oracle docs to resolve this issue as it is impacting on the reconciliation process.

    Hello,
Normal: the transfer to GL request was run on 05 Mar 15
Now, let us look for the corresponding Batch Name and Journal Entry Name in GL
Please, in the lines shown in print screen you posted, click the + (show) icon for cash accounting class:
Under General ledger header you should see Batch and Journal Entry Names:
If these values are populated in SLA, then search them directly in Enter Journals from (General Ledger Responsibility) and update this discussion
    Thank you

  • Purchase ledger and General Ledger account codes

I am looking for information about how Oracle Financials works in respect of "codes" if that is what they are called within the Module. I am an accountant as well as a developer, and I have equivalent information about a number of other accounting packages. Readers may need to translate some of my terminology into Oracle equivalent language.
    1. My expectation is that the purchase ledger transaction table has some sort of a "purchase ledger account code" column that is used for joins to the purchase ledger master table. If that is so, what sort of values are in that column or its equivalent? Are they values that are codes or original codes? Put another way, what sort of values are there in whatever column is used for joins to the master table?
    2. I have equivalent expectations in respect of the General ledger. What sorts of values are in whatever transaction table column is used for joins to the general ledger master table? Are these general ledger account codes?
My interest is in how the applications process change, such as a change in the name of a supplier or the inclusion of a general ledger account where there does not seem to be space for one in the chart of accounts. My next enquiries will depend on the answers to these ones.

Thanks to previous responder for tip regarding JDK/JRE anchor strings. I'm not sure if that is a problem. After letting the install process (java.exe) run for over an hour, I finally got past the InstantiateFile step. It looks like the process just takes a long time with no visible progress sometimes. After 5-6 hrs, it looked like the install succeeded (for the most part). There were still some errors in the error logs related to the Concurrent Manager (TNS-12541: TNS:no listener) I believe. If anyone has insight on what this error msg means, I would greatly appreciate a reply.
The other problem I am tackling right now is how to explicitly set the Forms processing mode to HTTP rather than the default socket mode. According to the 11i docs (and Forms Developer 6i docs), you should only have to set "connectMode=HTTP" in the config file, appsweb.cfg, to make this happen. However, when I try bringing up a client form, the form hangs. So, obviously, something is amiss. A related question is whether one can run Forms in only HTTP mode and not HTTPS (and thus avoid having to install SSL). I would greatly appreciate any insight from fellow users.

  • Typical General Ledger Report

    Hai people,
I  need a query to display all the transactions for customer ( like  General ledger).
    _*Scenario*_
Step 1 -  Item Master is created - ITEM 1
Step 2 - Payment Schedule  will be created in ITEM MASTER DATA through ADD-ON(18 FIELDS )
Step 3 - Sale Order will be created for Customer 1
Step 4 - Partial Payments will be made by customer against the Sale Order created in step3(Lets say the Unit price
will be  splitted in 8 stages(Payment Schedule) say Inital,Advance,UDS,S1,S2,S3,S4,S5 -created in
                       Item Master- Unit Price in
item Master Data will be splitted among these 8 fields)
Payments will be made against each of the above 8 stages  say 8 payments will be made.
Step 5 - In addition to the above 8 payments there will be some SERVICE A/R Invoices will be made for the
                   customer 1
Step 6 - If the Total Amount in all the 18 fields that is created in step 2 is paid then the ITEM SALE Order in step 3
will be   converted in A/R Invoice.
Step 7- Report to Know all the tranactionts that has been made to the customer or ITEM CODE that choosen in the SALE
                   ORDER.
Note - Only One item is Created for each Customer and if it saled means then it cannot be used and
some times customer 1 may book 2 or more items also.
Now we need a report like a General Ledger report for each item or Customer that displays all the
Incoming Payments- includes receipt no, date, customer, mode of pay, total value,
Outgoing Payments- includes receipt no, date, customer, mode of pay, total value,
A/R Invoices- inv no,date, if item type then item code, value ir service then against which g/l account, total value
or Manual Journals that has been posted to that
customer and in the report the Balance due needs to be calculated after each transaction is made.
    (Total Amount= Unit Price+Field 1+ Field 2 ( created in OITM))
Tried using crystal report and able to display only the incoming payments.
Pls guys any help would be appreciated.

  • General Ledger Tax in R12

To me it looks like R12 GL module only supports simple "Tax Rate Code" based tax calculations. Tax Rules are not supported. Can anyone confirm this?
    Thanks

In R-12 To initiate the transfer of Receivables accounting information from Oracle Subledger Accounting to Oracle General Ledger, run the Create Accounting program in final
mode. When you create final accounting, the Create Accounting program transfers data about your adjustments, chargebacks, credit memos, commitments, debit memos,
invoices, and receipts to a Subledger Accounting interface table and, depending on other entered parameters, runs Journal Import and posts the journal entries in General
Ledger. Or, you can create draft accounting first; later, when you create the final accounting, you can complete the transfer and posting process. Draft accounting entries cannot be transferred to General Ledger.

    Firstly, it cannot be URGENT.
Secondly, requesting for dump is something illegal and drop down the exam quality.
