Sure this easy question has came up before, but I cannot find the solution anywhere.
I am creating a form where the user would fill in their contact information. (address, phone, email, etc.)
Then they will need to fill in their return shipment address too. I would like to have a checkbox so when it is checked, it would autopopulate the return shipment address fields with the contact info field entries (copy), since these are usually the same data entries.
I can accomplish this in Acrobat Pro but for whatever reason my file size increases substantially when I add too much script. So I am going to give this a try and after seeing all the functionality included with LiveCycle, it's probably best I start learning.

In the change event for the checkbox you could put something like (in formcalc):

shipping.address1 = postal.address1
shipping.address2 = postal.address2
etc..
else
shipping.address1 = ""
shipping.address2 = ""
etc...
endif
(obviously changing shipping.address1 to whatever your 1st shipping field is, etc)

Hey all, I'm trying to set up a billing form in Acrobat Pro. I have two address areas but I have a Same as Above checkbox to allow the user to copy their billing address to the shipping address. I'm not sure what scripting I need or where to put it but I want it to check whether or not the box is checked, and if so, copy the billing address information to the shipping address area and lock them for editing.
Here are the fields I have:
BillingFullName
BillingAddress1
BillingCity
BillingState
BillingZip
ShippingFullName

Here's what I'd do:
In the MouseUp event of the checkbox (named 'SameAsAbove' here), put the following:
this.calculateNow
In the 'Calculate' event of the ShippingFullName field (and all other shipping fields), put the following:
event.value = event.value
In the 'Format' event of the ShippingFullName field (and all other shipping fields), put the following:
if (this.getField("SameAsAbove").value == 'Yes') {
event.value = this.getField("BillingFullName").valueAsString
This way, if they click the 'SameAsAbove' checkbox it will display the billing address (without changing the shipping value they may have entered), but if they uncheck it, the original shipping value entered is shown.
Edit: the CalculateNow command may not be necessary, but it doesn't hurt to keep it in
Edit2 to add 'valueAsString' as suggested by George above.

What we want to do is ask our new clients their preferred method of billing: Credit Card, Invoiced, ACH.
If they choose Credit Card, credit card info fields will show up.

Yes, this is one of the features of web-based forms in FormsCentral. You will use conditional elements (show/hide logic) to allow certain elements to hide or display.

You create all of your fields: Credit Card, Billing Address, and Bank routing and account number fields, and then only have them show up as a condition of which of the radio buttons the user selects.

Creating a button that will make fill in fields read only.

I am having problems trying to research this issue that I am having, so thank you in advance to all who reads this and assists.
What the overall goal is for me to create a form that I can send to a client and whenever they type the variable information in, they would check a box that would a) hide itself and b) lock certain fields but leave at least one open so they can send it off to their clients without worry of information thy have entered changing. My client has acrobat reader and I am looking for the easiest solution without having to suggest them to upgrade. Also, I am not that familliar with java scripting (yet) so some of the forums I have read seem rather confusing to me even when I try to use the scripts provided.

Just insert a link that uses mailto in the Add Filter or links dropdown just like you would with any other hyperlink.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

- For the other problem you can try a reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- The next standard thing to do is to download/install a new app but you cant 'do that.
- Instead, try restoring from backup.

Is there an email account that will allow me to use a different from address with a POP account

Need to be able to delete emails (I have an Optonline address) from iphone and ipad during the day, while retaining them on Mac Book Pro to view and file into folders in the evening.
Seemed like I could have my optonline emails forwarded to a Gmail account and just set up the Mac's mail to use my optonline account, while the iPad and iPhone used my Gmail account. That worked, except for one issue - when I sent mail from the iPad or iPhone it would use my Gmail address and then people who used "reply" would have their replies sent back to my Gmail account. I wanted to continue to use my optonline address since I have had this address for many, many years. I saw that Gmail allows you to "send using a different from address", however because optonline is a POP account, they do not support the settings in Gmail and therefore I cannot get my optonline address to be verified by Gmail, meaning my emails continued to be sent from my Gmail address on my iPhone.
I even tried setting up the Gmail account manually (using "Other" in the ipone settings) and putting in a comma with my optonline address in the address field, but still no success.
Next, thought I'd try Yahoo mail - same thing - only sends mail with my Yahoo account.
Then looked into iCloud since I use that for syncing Contacts and Calendars on all 3 devices - same thing - I can only send email using the @me.com address.
Does anyone know of any other mail account that will work with my POP Optonline email address? After 10+ years with this email address, having to announce to my world that I am changing my address (either to Gmail, Yahoo, or the iCloud's @me.com address) is something I really don't want to do.
However, leaving just my optonline account on all 3 devices means I am constantly deleting the same emails on 3 devices everyday, which is also just not an effective use of my time.

Thanks to cor-el for the suggestion given in the link. Sadly I have to report:
1) It is not a bookmark problem and it makes no difference whether I put
www.adobe.com or 192.150.18.117 in the address bar.
2) Cookies are allowed and there are no exceptions set
3) All cookies have been deleted
4) network.http.sendRefererHeader is already set to 2
That deals with the items in the linked document.
Additional information:
5) I can get into the adobe site from a clean "in memory" installation of PuppyLinux using Seamonkey using the same router and dhcp setup.
6) un-installing all Mozilla products - rebooting and re-installing makes no difference even when I remove the mozilla folder from docs&settings.
so as I said in previous post (as annonymous) not a lot makes sense.

If you use a macro application like Keyboard Maestro or QuicKeys you can create a macro that will add the selected email as an attachment to a new email, entered the necessary recipients, send the email and then delete it. You can send more than one at a time.

It is not clear how you are trying to realize this from your description. If you are trying to create this within a button symbol it will not work. Explain your approach and if there is code involved, show what you have so far.

Home Sharing caused duplicates but not all songs or apps transfered. It is a large library! I've tried just setting the path in the Advanced Tab of iTunes preferences of the new computer with the external drive connected the same as the path when the external drive is connected to the old computer. This was the best solution so far but still a few artists missing and some apps. Any suggestions?

Here are typical layouts for the iTunes folders:
With iTunes 11 you might also have a Home Videos folder inside iTunes Media.
In the simplest cases you copy the entire iTunes folder from <User's Music> on the source computer to <User's Music> on the target machine, install iTunes, and it "just works"TM.
If the media folder (inside the red outline) has been split out to a separate location then you can copy the library folder (outside the red outline) as before and connect the drive holding the media so that it has exactly the same path as before. If the drive appears as D: on one system and E: on the other then the library won't be able to find the media.
The crucial file is iTunes Library.itl - this contains a record of the tracks that have been added to the library, ratings, play counts, playlists etc.

There are multiple ways to do similar things. One, built into the system, is to use text replacement. See:

There are other programs you can buy that can do the job in different ways, such as TextExpander. You could also just create a clipping file by dragging your e-mail address to somewhere like the desktop, and then you can simply drag that file to wherever you like to insert your e-mail address there.

Can one build a XP mode on Windows 8.1 ? (Software that will provide the same experiance?)

I Know XP mode is not supported under Windows 8. I was wondering if there was a way to manually build a XP mode install.
I want the same experiance as XP mode due to having hardware that only has 32bit support(driver) on Windows 8.1 x64.
I would like the shortcuts to the apps on the desktop and to be able to run them from the VM.
I have PLENTY of Windows XP pro licences that are not in use any more and I have the media. I would prefer not to install a whole VM package and have to run it in a VM as I want to use it on a 8.1 tablet I have.
With all the VM software packages out there for free, is there one that will provide what I am looking for ?

The answer to your question is no, a Windows XP mode cannot be manually built for Windows 8.1.
Your options include Hyper-V as well as VirtualBox and VMWare player, which was already mentioned.
Even if there were a way to build a Windows XP mode within Windows 8.1, it wouldn’t be supported past April 8th, which is the end of support date for Windows XP.
This includes Windows XP mode in Windows 7.
