  • Oracle BAM 11g - Deployments and development questions

    Hi!
    I have few questions related to Oracle BAM 11g developement and deployment processes. We are going to use that together with Oracle SOA Suite 11g ( BPEL / BPM processes), and now my questions are related to development phase:
    1. If we have two or more Oracle BAM developers with their own Oracle BAM server instances, and we would like to share our development work, should/can we you same database repository to share the reports, data objects?
    2. How we can copy Oracle BAM Data Objects, Reports etc from one environment (dev) to other environments (test, accept test, integration test, production) ? In software deployment projects (like Spring or Grails web-projects) we have used version control system and CI to build packages to different environments etc. How is the Oracle BAM deployment process actually "planned to be" since it uses its database repository to store objects and reports ?
    3. The Oracle BAM itself has nice reports etc (Oracle BAM Client) that can be used using IE browser. How if we have to show/include those reports from Oracle WebCenter Spaces ? Is it possible and how?

    Hi,
    Were you able to find the answer to your questions? Especially the one, showing BAM reports in Webcenter Spaces?

  • Oracle BAM 11g separately on Linux

    Oracle BAM 11g can be installed as a separate component in Linux, without installing all the SOA Suite 11g?

    Sbaldwa Thanks,
    this link explains that although BAM comes in the same installer for the SOA Suite,
    can be installed independently, and work with other databases not just with Oracle

  • Using jfreechart with oracle forms 11g

    Hi everybody,
    I'm using jfreechart with oracle forms 11g to continue having graphs in my application since i'm migrating from forms 6i. I've already got it working and it's great. Just have one problem left. I don't know how to change the axis labels. In Bar charts, it comes with "Values" in y axis and "Category" in x axis by default. I wanted to change that or make it dissapear. Anyone knows how to?

    I've never used the jFreeChart, but according to their website you can use the "setLabel" method to set the label for an axis. Check out Axis (JFreeChart Class Library) for more information.

  • ADF with Oracle Portal 11g

    One of our customer has Oracle Portal 11g. We want to create a portlet using ADF taskflow and consume it in Oracle Portal 11g. Is it possible?
    I know how to create ADF task-flow and how to expose it as a portlet. But I don't know how to access them in Oracle Portal 11g.
    Also they want portlet to be secured and should work with SSO (OAM) configured. Is it also possible? If yes, can you please let me know what changes I need to make in my ADF application.
    Thanks
    Sanjeev.

    Hi,
    its not a published example. The way it works is that you create a entry for OID in the jps-config.xml file (note that the three entries below need to get into the right place in the jps-config.xml file - which is not hard to spot)
    <serviceProvider class="oracle.security.jps.internal.idstore.ldap.LdapIdentityStoreProvider" name="idstore.ldap.provider" type="IDENTITY_STORE">
             <description>LDAP-based ID Store Provider</description>
          </serviceProvider>
    <serviceInstance provider="idstore.ldap.provider" name="idstore.oid">
             <property value="OID" name="idstore.type"/>
             <property value="cn=orcladmin:pword" name="cleartext.ldap.credentials"/>
             <property value="ldap://localhost:389" name="ldap.url"/>
             <property value="cn" name="username.attr"/>
             <property value="cn" name="groupname.attr"/>
             <extendedProperty>
                <name>user.search.bases</name>
                <values>
                   <value>cn=users,dc=us,dc=oracle,dc=com</value>
                </values>
             </extendedProperty>
             <extendedProperty>
                <name>group.search.bases</name>
                <values>
                   <value>cn=Groups,dc=us,dc=oracle,dc=com</value>
                </values>
             </extendedProperty>
    <jpsContext name="CaOIDAuthentication">
             <serviceInstanceRef ref="idstore.oid"/>
             <serviceInstanceRef ref="credstore"/>
             <serviceInstanceRef ref="idstore.loginmodule"/>
          </jpsContext>Note that this is an example for deployment to stand aone OC4J. The application name is "CaOIDAuthentication" thus the name for the context.
    Once you did that and deployed the application, the authentication is against OID. Note however, that I tested this with a later internal build, not with TP3

    It's weird - it says it created the db user fine and then when it goes to use it, it says invalid credentials.....maybe you can find out more from the logs. Look in
    D:\BAM\BAM_OC4J_HOME\install\bam\bam-config.log
    and also
    D:\BAM\BAM_OC4J_HOME\j2ee\home\log\bam\oraclebam.log
    Also, you are using a database version that is explicitly listed as excluded from being supported in 11 - it's hard to say whether that is the reason for this error. If you could upgrade or switch to XE that would be worth trying.

  • Is it possible to use DVT with Oracle Forms 11g?

    Hi,
    I have posted my question on Oracle Forms forum but I didn't get answere regarding dvt usage in Oracle Forms.
    Now I try it here.
    Oracle Forms 11g and charts / graphs
    ====
    one of our customers has a forms 6i applications including oracle graphics and is thinking about upgrade to forms 11g.
    Oracle graphics has been desupported with 6i and with 9i Oracle BI beans has been recommended.
    Forms 10g is the terminal version for Oracle BI beans too (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bbi-beans/overview/oraclebibeanssod2008-129560.pdf).
    What's the recommended technology for graphs/charts in Forms 11g?
    Is it ADF DVT?
    If yes, are there examples how to call them from Forms 11g?
    =====
    regards
    Peter

    Hello Shay,
    thank you very much for the link.
    I wonder if there any plans from Oracle to provide and support a DVT wrapper in next versions of Oracle Forms 11g
    As the customer project is planned for Q2/2011 we still have some time and hope for this :-)
    regards

  • How To Integrate ADF Application with Oracle Fusion Middleware Audit Fmwk ?

    Hi All,
    I'm having ADF/ADF Face Application (using Jdev 11.1.1.5) and want to integrate it with Oracle Fusion Middleware Audit Framework.
    I want to generate audit records by using oracle.security.jps.service.audit API and also want that Audit Policy
    for my Application will be visible and manageable through FusionMiddlewareControl (as well as othe admin tools)
    on the same way how it is for the OPSS services for example.
    Unfortunately i didn't find any detailed docs for the topics above. In the Oracle Fusion Middleware Security Guide,
    it is steated only that:
    "Stand-alone applications can be integrate d with the Oracle Fusion Middleware Audit Framework through configuration with the jps-config.xml file."
    , but nothing in details.
    Can somebody help with this, giving some more detailed info or links to the appropriate detailed documentation(if any) ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Krasimir

    deepak - why not link to the real documentation instead of that site that illegally publishes stuff?
    Krasimir - I had a look at this a long way back, and didn't explore it much further because I reached a dead end in trying to figure out how it worked. It seems to me that the function is there and may be used internally within Oracle, but that it's not documented well enough for we mere mortals of the public to use it.
    Have you tried opening an SR with Support? They won't know, but they will be able to raise it up and perhaps find someone who does know - be sure to reference this thread in your SR if you go that route.

    Hello,
    This is by designed in Entity Framework, the view is not designed to be editable by default. If you persist in editing a view, you need to create an editable view, for details, please check this blog:
    How to create an updateable view with ADO Entity Framework and with LINQ to SQL
    This blog is based on the SQL Server database, however, I notice that you are working with the Oracle database, I am not sure if the Oracle database provider for Entity Framework supports the editable view, I
     suggest you could confirm this on the Oracle database forum:
