ADF security wizard not creating files?

Hi,
I'm trying to configure my web project to use ADF security. When I run ADF security wizard, changes are made only to web.xml, other files (as stated in chapter 29.3.2):
- /.adf/META-INF/adf-config.xml: neither file of folder exist
- /src/META-INF/jsp-config.xml: neither file of folder exist (there is a folder /adfmsrc/META-INF, but there's only adfm.xml file)
- orion-application.xml: same as above
- jazn-data.xml: same as above
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
Regards
Jernej

Do you see these files in Application Resources ( -> Descriptors) under Application Navigator?

    I have verified that the service account for the SPUCHostService is a domain account belonging to the the WSS_WPG local group (I also tried adding to the WSS_ADMIN_WPG group with no more success).  The WSS_WPG
    group has read and write access to the log folder mentioned above.
    I started troubleshooting this when I tried to activate and use the CRM 2011 list control.  And found that other sandboxed solutions also fail which lead me to look at the SharePoint 2010 User Code Host, which will not keep running.
    I have a Sharepoint 2010 enterprise farm with one WFE and one seperate database server all on a single domain.   The WFE is running on Windows 2008 sp2 (64 bit).
    I look forward to your advice / suggestions.
    PS.  I have been working on this for a couple days, and have read many issues that seem to be related, but I have already checked that the Service is now set to automatic, that the service account is a member of the WSS_WPG group and should therefore
    have rights to the Logs folder.  It is also a member of the Local Administrators and the Performance Log Users group.

  • Oracle ADF Wizard Not Creating Associations

    I'm having trouble with the "New Business Components from Tables" wizard not generating the associations that are indicated by the foreign keys of the original tables. I'm using the schema from this tutorial: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/11/cuecards/adf_set_21/ccset21_ALL.html, and trying to generate entity objects for the ORDERS and ORDERITEMS tables. In the Business Components form Tables wizard, if I select the ORDERS and ORDERITEMS tables as Read-Only View Objects, it creates entity objects for both, and also an association (OrderItemsOrdersFkLink). If I select the same two tables as Updatable View Objects, it creates the entity objects, but no associations. I realize that I could go in there and create them manually, but we're trying to show this tutorial as something that anyone could go through and follow, step by step, and produce a few working web pages.
    We're using JDeveloper 11.1.1.0.1, with none of the updates or anything else installed, and pointing to a 10g database (not sure of the exact version). Can anyone help?

    Sorry -- I'm still trying to get familiar with the nomenclature, and I was way off on the wording there. I am using the "Business Objects from Tables" wizard. On step #1 (Entity Objects), I'm choosing the ORDERS and ORDER_ITEMS tables. On step #2 (Updatable View Objects), if I select both Orders and OrderItems, it creates Entities and Views, but no Associations. On step #3 (Read-Only View Objects), if I select both Orders and OrderItems, it creates Entities, Views, and Associations.
    I think I figured it out, though -- if I select something on step #1 and step #2, but don't want any Read-Only View Objects on step #3, if I click the "Query" button, but don't select anything, it seems to create the associations that I need. If I don't click the "Query" button, then it doesn't create the associations. I guess I'll just make sure that the Auto-Query thing is selected, but that sounds like a bit of a bug. Has anyone else ever run into this situation?

  • Authenticate ADF application using adf security wizard against LDAP OID

    I have an adf application which i intend to authorise using LDAP. For now , i have actually hand coded in java for authenticating the users of my application. Using JNDI I directly connect to LDAP and authenticate users. However , recently it came to my notice that i can also do that using ADF sercurity wizard , but i am unable to do so. which securing the ADF application ,no where in the wizard LDAP configuration is mentioned. do i have to change some file manually ? i have no idea on how to proceed on that.

    i have setup wls , making th OIDAuthentication as Sufficient. but i dont know how to configure from ADF side so that it can authenticate against LDAP. when i try the ADF sercurity wizard option , it tells me to create new Roles . Is there any way where i can import the ldap credentials to the security wizard ..?

  • Data Services wizard not creating service

    I am having huge problems with the Data Services wizard.
    I am using Flash Builder 4.6 on a Mac (10.7.2).
    Over the last year I have been working on a couple of proof of concept projects and now want to start work on a production version starting from scratch in a new project.
    The Data Services wizard has worked fine for me in the past, but now I am having serious problems.
    The first problem is the Data/Services window does not update when I create a new service with the wizard. (I am connecting to the Zenfolio Web Service.) If have to close the project and open it before I see the new service in the Data/Services window.
    While this problem is more an inconvenience, more seriously the wizard does not create either the "services" folder or the "valueObjects" folder as it did in the past.
    Now if I right click on a method in the service and select "Create Service Call", it creates the Call Responder but not the call itself.
    The relevant log entry starts with
    !ENTRY com.adobe.flexbuilder.dcrad 4 1 2012-01-12 22:39:20.962
    !MESSAGE Component type services.zfapi.Zfapi not found.
    If I create a "services" folder and copy the zfapi package from one of my previous projects, all works fine.
    This probably gives me a workaround - although I haven't tested this to any extent yet.
    It is very strange and worrying behaviour though.
    regards
    Chris

  • How to not create File without any payload?

    Hi XI Experts,
    I have the following integration scenario:
    1.  One input file
    2.  One or more output files (up to four files)
    3.  At any given time, I could have one or more files (up to four files) filled with data in the payload.
    Question - there are times where only one file will have data in the payload and three files without any data in the payload (by design).  In this case, I do NOT want to create files that does not have any data in the payload.  Is there any way I can do this without BPM?  The output files that does not have any data in the payload is not going to be 0 byte as it will still have blank XML tags.
    Again, we do not want to use BPM if there is any way around it.  We are running XI 2004s SP7 (equivalent to 2004 SP16).  Any help would be greatly appreciate it.
    Here is the content of the ouput file WITHOUT any data in the payload:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns0:entity-data xmlns:ns0="urn:dow-com:xi:data:vendavo:10">
    </ns0:entity-data>
    Here is the content of the ouput file WITH data in the payload:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns0:entity-data xmlns:ns0="urn:dow-com:xi:data:vendavo:10">
        <com.Dow.customer.DCorporate>
            <VName>DCorporate</VName>
            <VLabel>013-ZZ</VLabel>
        </com.Dow.customer.DCorporate>
    </ns0:entity-data>
    Thanks,
    Jay

    Hi Jay..,
    You can achieve this without BPM too.Your input is one file,by doing the Multi Mapping (1: N) you can acheive this.If there is no payload for any of the four files means simply put your four message types occurences as 0..Unbounded.
    Check / Put an condition on your input file payload which field is determining whether data is containg for all or for some of the files.
    So, if your input file containg the data for four files, those files are would be populated otherwise the files are not getting populated.I guess there is no use to create the blank XML structure.
    Let me know your feedback.., It would be work for your case ..
    Cheers

  • Compressor not creating file

    Same problem. Out of the blue. Working one day. Not the next. It will not provide a finished MPEG-2 when trying to convert for DVD. I have deleted the original files, remade FCP QuickTimes, changed file folders, deleted all of the old files and reset the "Background Processing" option in Compressor. Nothing. Hours and hours go by for a 2:40 file. Scary how quickly you can lose control of your work...

    What do you mean "same problem?"
    Not completing a job is quite different from not creating a file. You're saying the job is succesfully submitted but never completes?
    Since your'e going to DVD, try taking the clip directly into DVDSP and pushing the build button. The action initiates the same transcoding engine but from a different interface. This will help determine if your issue lies with the engine, Compressor, Batch Monitor, or might be related to a disk capacity or permissions issue.

  • ADF security logout not working

    Hi,
    Using ADF Faces and JDeveloper 11.1.1.1.0 (5407).
    I have a secure ADF application, my login is working fine, however once I attempt to perform a logout using methods indicated in both the Fusion Developer's Guide and various blog posts my application begins to act strangely.
    Using the Forms based authentication I have login.html and error.html setup and working.
    I have a home.jspx (unsecured, no bindings whatsoever) as my landing page, and welcome.jspx as my successful authentication redirect page, both on my adfc-config diagram and with a control flow case 'login' between them.
    In my jazn-data.xml file I have granted the 'authenticated-role' access to the welcome page.
    The web.xml file includes the login.html and error.html files listed.
    The above works, I can login and am successfully redirected to the welcome page with a user account I have specified, and if I use wrong login information I am redirected to error.html.
    Now, I have tried 2 methods to get LOGOUT working properly and both are not working.
    Firstly and most simply I tried using the following on my welcome page:
    <af:commandNavigationItem text="Logout" id="cni1" destination="/adfAuthentication?logout=true&amp;end_url=faces/home.jspx"/>When I click the link, this does redirect me to the home page and there are no warnings/errors in the server log.
    However... when I then click on the Login link on the home page that should prompt me to login again, the home page just flickers and nothing happens. Again no warnings/errors in logs.
    I am then forever stuck on the home page.
    The second method I tried involves using a backing bean, which I have registered in my adfc-config.xml file with 'request' scope.
    On my welcome.jspx:
    <af:commandLink text="Logout" id="gl1" action="#{loginBean.doLogout}"/>My link calls the doLogout() method in my backing bean containing:
      import java.io.IOException;
      import javax.faces.context.ExternalContext;
      import javax.faces.context.FacesContext;
      import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse;
      import javax.servlet.http.HttpSession;
      public String doLogout() throws IOException {
        ExternalContext ectx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext();
        HttpServletResponse response = (HttpServletResponse)ectx.getResponse();
        HttpSession session = (HttpSession)ectx.getSession(false);
        session.invalidate();
        response.sendRedirect("home.jspx");
        return null;
      }The application DOES redirect me to home.jspx however I get the following error in the logs:
    java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cannot forward a response that is already committed
         at weblogic.servlet.internal.RequestDispatcherImpl.forward(RequestDispatcherImpl.java:122)
         at com.sun.faces.context.ExternalContextImpl.dispatch(ExternalContextImpl.java:410)

         at org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.context.ExternalContextDecorator.dispatch(ExternalContextDecorator.java:44)
         at org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.context.ExternalContextDecorator.dispatch(ExternalContextDecorator.java:44)
         Truncated. see log file for complete stacktrace
    AND...the same thing happens as with my other attempt, I am stuck on the home page and clicking the login link just flickers the page.
    I feel as if I have followed the Fusion Developer's Guide on how to do this down to a T, however I am not getting a working solution.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thankyou,
    Matthew.

    I have had a few developments...
    I found out that after I have been redirected to home.jspx where my Login link just refreshes the page on click... if I instead manually change the end of the URL in the address bar of my browser to /welcome.jspx, then it works...I get prompted to login again. This proves that I am actually being logged out, if I change the URL manually before I click my logout link (calling the logout method) it does not request for me to log in again.
    So it seems that the problem lies with my action reference on my login link.
    <af:commandLink text="Enter" id="cl1" action="login" inlineStyle="font-size:small;"/>the action 'login' works UNTIL i logout, then it does not work anymore...
    Second to this, I tried a different LOGIN method using:
    <af:commandNavigationItem text="Login" id="cni1" inlineStyle="font-size:small; text-decoration:none;"
                                            destination="/adfAuthentication?success_url=faces/welcome.jspx"/>When using this way to login, I can login, logout AND LOG BACK IN successfully...
    However as soon as I click on ANY component that uses a control flow case it just refreshes the page.
    re-proving from the first example that the problem is that control flow cases stop working after a logout.
    so basically, once I log out and then try to navigate a control flow case, the page I am on just refreshes and the navigation does not occur.
    Surely someone now can elaborate on this.
    Regards,
    Matthew.

  • Multiple Image Upload Wizard Not Creating A Form

    I'm working on a new site and I keep running the multiple image upload wizard.
    It connects to the database fine, gets the primary key and all that. It sees the two columns that should be included in the form field in addition to the image_url field.
    When I hit finish on the wizard all the proper code seems to be created except the form. The upload button is the only user interface element created.
    Anybody got ideas on what is causing this? I've used this wizard on other projects sucessfuly, but I can't figure out what I'm doing differently here.
    thanks,
    - Tanner

    I believe you have to create the form first with some File Upload fields then run the Wizard.

  • URLConnection does not create file

    Hello,
    I have a server and I'm using URLConnection to create a file on the server and write some text into it. However, after I run my program, no exception is thrown, but also no file is created on the server!!!
    Here is the source code:
    URLConnection destinationConnection=destinationURL.openConnection();
    destinationConnection.setDoOutput(true);
    destinationConnection.connect();
    destinationWriter=new OutputStreamWriter(destinationConnection.getOutputStream());
    destinationWriter.write(URLEncoder.encode(actions[counter].toString(),"UTF-8"));
    destinationWriter.close();Thank you very much for your help!

    You can only create a file if the server lets you. What's on the other side of that URL? Is it a servlet (or other server-side code) that receives content and writes it to a file? Are you sure it's working?
    If the URL is to a plain file...you can do that, but you'd have to set the HTTP method to PUT, and most servers don't support that anyway.
    I don't think that an exception would necessarily be thrown if you can't write to a file. Maybe it would just return standard HTTP response code indicating that file writing isn't allowed. Or maybe if the server side functionality is broken, it would just report that everything is OK even when it isn't.
    This isn't somethign you can debug purely on the client side.

  • Can Crystal Enterprise be configured so that  it does not create files in the FileStore - Output

    Post Author: christof
    CA Forum: Administration
    We are using the API to create pdf files using Crystal Enterprise but the problem is that now files are create in duplicate.We have one file which is stored in the filestore/output and another file which is stored as requested true the API. Is their a setting, configuration which could make it possible that no files are added in the filestore/output when the API is used. (when a onther filenam/path is given true the API)  For now we should use a bat that removes those files every month.

    Hi Christof,
    If instances are being generated in the output FRS that would indicate reports with saved data as opposed to the input FRS which contains the report without saved data. I think this is needed for the conversion to PDF but you can post this question in the DEV forum and posibly find out for sure.

  • Adobe Print will not create files in Network Locations

    Hi,
    We've just installed 5 new Win7 64bit machines on our network which were shipped with Acrobat Standard X.  The server is Windows 2003 SBS.
    2 out of the 5 machines can only use Adobe PDF Printer to create pdf's to the local drives rather than the shared network drivers.  These users (including myself as Administrator) have full access and control over the network drives and have no other connection issues.  The printer settings are identical on all the new PC's and the port is Documents\*.pdf
    The error message is simply "error-printing" in the What's Printing dialogue box, no other pop ups or notifications.
    There are no further details in the Event Viewer.
    Win7 suggests making the Adobe PDF the default printer, which does not resolve the issue.
    I have tried CutePDF as an alternative, which does fullfill this function, but I do not want individual users on different software, and certainly do not want to set a precedent myself!
    I've tried searching on this formum, but pdf "printing" and "creation" seem to be interchangeable phrases for various problems!
    Thanks in advance for any help,
    Andy.

    As a web designer - IMHO, Internet Exploder is absolute garbage disguised as software. This (and thousands of other threads in this and many other forums throughout the web) is just more proof of that. I've used Firefox since 2002 when it was still called Mozilla. It does about a million things IE can't and won't, and does them better, faster, and more sensibly.
    Microsoft KNOWS that most corporate workstations have Windows and most I/T departments forbid installation of unapporved software, including browsers, so (by a very slim margin) IE is still the most used browser in the world, but... that doesn't by any means make it the best choice. Because they know so many people are literally FORCED to use it at work, they will not make it more functional than they absolutely have to, because they don't care if people like it or not, when they have no other choice.
    On a home computer, it's different, and that's why Firefox is just a fraction of a percentage point behind IE in worldwide use, and thanks to iPhones, Safari is rapidly climbing the numbers too.
    Rather than trying to work around something that even Microsoft won't bother to fix, abandon their junk and go with Firefox, Opera, Chrome or Safari. It won't be long till you're glad you did.

  • "Export Song to Disk" will not create file

    So, I've been trying to bounce my GarageBand song for a few days now using the Share>Export Song to Disk option and nothing ever comes out. I uncheck "Compress" and I save it to my desktop, it completes the mixdown and normalizes the track and completes but when I check my desktop, there is nothing there. The project itself is 71.8 MB in size. I have already deleted the com.apple.garageband.plist file from my library but it did not help. Any ideas?

    Make sure the file name isn't too long. There's a known glitch where project names longer than around 28 or so characters won't export to disk. That's the only thing I can think of.
    Also it won't be on your desktop unless you choose that location when exporting.

    If the repair does not do the job, then try a different job settings in the printing process. The error you are getting comes from the Distiller step of the PDF creation. You can go in steps if you wish by trying to print to file. Then opening that file in Distiller to see that happens.
