ADF (Webcenter) 11.1.1.3 problem ADFC-60001

I've latest weblogic, webcenter 11.1.1.2 + 11.1.1.3 on top with Webcenter domain plus the latest JDev with latest Webcenter plugin. When I make simple hello world test with navigation between two pages the navigation doesn't work. Only thing in logs is:
[ADFC-60001] [oracle.adfinternal.controller.util.model.AdfmInterface] [tid: [ACTIVE].ExecuteThread: '3' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] [ecid: 0000Ii_Ty2vFg4s_Khd9ie1ChPxh000003,0] [APP: ADFTest_webapp1] ADFc: BindingContext is not present, not using ADFm APIs for DataControlFrames.
Happens both with Webcenter EAR and plain ADF webapp. Happens deployed both on WLS_Spaces and custom managed server (created with otn wlst script). I even tried applying ADF runtime 11.1.1.2 + 11.1.1.3 and creating new domain - same effect. Not browser specific as happens on IE7, FF 3.6.10 & Chrome 6.0.
(Customer's) Platform is Windows 2008 Server R2 64 bit, Sun's latest & greatest 1.6.0_21 64bit JDK, should be fully certified for FMW11g.
Interesting is that running on JDev embedded it usually works ok in beginning, but stops working after some time.
Have I missed something simple with library versions or could it be something with platform and/or 64bit JVM? (have been causing trouble with other Oracle components already).

with Firebug full debug I can see lot's of warnings from core*.js and boot*.js:
reference to undefined property this.* -either javascript cannot get handle for this or any property under it. Problem with DOM?
Any idea what could cause this?

  • ADF WebCenter Application Relogin

    JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.0 running on Internet Explorer 8.
    I have a secured ADF application. When I logout out, it correctly reloads the login page where I can login again.
    The same application written in WebCenter does not allow me to relogin after logging out. It generates a 403 Forbidden error. I have to close the browser and restart it. Is there a means to enable the same behavior that the ADF application exhibits?
    Regards,
    Tom Gresham

    DO you see anything in the logs when you log out from the webcenter application?
    I haven't seen this yet i don't think it is expected. For example webcenter spaces is also a "normal" webcenter ADF application and their you can login/logout without any problems.
    Are you sure it is because of webcenter? Nothing else wrong in the application?

    Googling your problem doesn't seem very hard.

  • ADF row header and delete all problem

    Hi,
    I am using JDeveloper 11.1.14 and ADF-Bc in my project.
    In one of my page I display a simple table and a button which deletes the selected records.
    I dragged and dropped the 'Delete' operation from the Data Control view object onto the bindings.
    The below method iterates through selected rows and calls the 'Delete' operation which removes the current row.
    The Code for delete is as below
    public void deleteSelectedRows(ActionEvent actionEvent) {
    RowKeySet selectedRows = richTable.getSelectedRowKeys();
    Iterator selRowIter = selectedRows.iterator();
    RowSetIterator empRSIter = voIter.getRowSetIterator();
    while (selRowIter.hasNext()) {
    Key key = (Key)((List)selRowIter.next()).get(0);
    Row currentRow = empRSIter.getRow(key);
    if (currentRow != null) {
    voIter.getViewObject().setCurrentRow(currentRow);
    OperationBinding operation =
    getBindingContainer().getOperationBinding("Delete");
    if (operation != null) {
    operation.execute();
    I have added row header as column in my jsp page inside af:table. ex: <af:column rowHeader="true" width="12" id="c16"/>
    The problem is that if I manually select all rows[using control key] and click on 'Delete' button, the method is working fine[all records are being deleted].
    But If select all records either thorugh ctrl+A or on click of top of row header, all records are being selected in U.i,but the delete operation is not deleting
    all the records.It deletes only part of the records.[Ex: say 7 out of 10 records being displayed].
    Please let me know where I am doing wrong. or if it has something to do with range size.
    Regards,
    Praveen
    Note: I have multi selection enabled on the table

    Hi Frank,
    I have few more observations to add.
    In the below code, if the row removal is commented out, then the selected row count(i.e size ex: 9)
    and the index counter printed are correct.[i.e for example index counter printed will be 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9]
    RowKeySet rowKeySet = (RowKeySet)richTable.getSelectedRowKeys();
    System.out.println("\nSIZZE"+rowKeySet.size());
    CollectionModel cm = (CollectionModel)richTable.getValue();
    int index = 1;
    for (Object facesTreeRowKey : rowKeySet)
    cm.setRowKey(facesTreeRowKey);
    JUCtrlHierNodeBinding rowData =
    (JUCtrlHierNodeBinding)cm.getRowData();
    System.out.println("index"+index);
    index++;
    // rowData.getRow().remove();
    But when row removal is present then the index counter displayed is also wrong.. [ex: 1,2,3,4,5,6]
    Same behavior is observed with 'Delete' operation also.

    Praveen

  • Frame Webcenter 11.1.1.5 Problem

    Dear all,
    I got problem in Webcenter frame. I'm using change language function in Webcenter, If I switch the language, the content in Webcenter frame can't be changed automatically before I refresh page. In conclusion, I should refresh the page (F5), then the content in Webcenter frame can be changed.
    Any idea for this problem?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    When u r saying content is not changing. More info is required here. Whether content is only labels or contents from Content Management systems.
    However if you used to implement language toggling(switching) functionality, then you need to call the refresh view port or any other javascript call to refresh the whole page, in that way you can automate the process if needed at all.
    In my personal experience, I needed a javascript call to achieve the same.

  • Secure Coding Guidelines for ADF / WebCenter

    Hi,
    Our team is new to ADF and WebCenter development. Does Oracle have a security 'best practices' document for ADF developers?
    We already have a few generic 'secure coding' document, which recommends things like input validation, avoiding SQL injection, etc. However, we do not have any recommendations specific to ADF.

    Few tips are:
    - you can follow some OOPs design patterns in ADF.
    - Create shareable components as bounded task flows and reuse them using ADF library jar
    - create separate projects for JavaScript, css, images or deploy them to web server virtual directory.
    - MDS can help you in many areas for customization and personalization
    - Over use of CSS and javascript could slow the performance as well.
    - Don't play with oracle internal libraries ( i have seen many cases causing bugs in productions later)
    and last not least...........don't re-invent the wheel if declarative solution is available use it ;)
    hope it helps

  • Upgrading WLS+ADF to 11.1.1.6: problem with ADF libraries

    Hi,
    I'm upgrading a standalone ADF environment (on RHEL5 64-bit) from 11.1.1.2.0 to 11.1.1.6.0. I followed note 1408663.1 "How to upgrade a WLS domain extended with ADF libraries" so first upgraded WLS to 10.3.6., then uninstalled Application Developer and finally installed the new ADF Runtime.
    When I ran the upgradeJRF command in wlst for my existing domain, I got a listing of 11.1.1.2.0 targets and no mention of 11.1.1.6.0 (no error messages either, though). Starting the servers I'm still seeing deployments such as adf.oracle.domain(1.0,11.1.1.2.0) and adf.oracle.domain.webapp(1.0,11.1.1.2.0). Shouldn't these be 11.1.1.6.0 now? Also tried re-deploying my application, re-built with JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.0, but the library deployments are still on 11.1.1.2.0.
    How can I upgrade the existing domain to 11.1.1.6.0?

  • ADF/Webcenter Portal Error Page configuration in web.xml

    Hi All,
    I am using jdeveloper version 11.1.1.6.0.
    I set two error pages in my application by following web.xml entries.
      <error-page>
        <error-code>404</error-code>
        <location>/oracle/webcenter/portalapp/pages/AfError.html</location>
      </error-page>
      <error-page>
        <error-code>503</error-code>
        <location>/oracle/webcenter/portalapp/pages/SiteMaintenance.html</location>
      </error-page>but it does not divert to the AfError.html page but shows 404 error.
    How to solve this.
    Is it possible to set .jspx page in location attribute also.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Require as early as possible

    Hi,
    this should be asked on the WebCenter forum. However, how likely is it that your error page also causes a 404 error? The message in you web.xml file are for site not found and site not available. So unless you redirect to something that is accessible you wont be able to tell whether it works or not

  • WebCenter Space Layout and Customization problems

    Hi all,
    I am new in Webcenter Space and I wonder is there anyway to do the following tasks:
    1) Change the alignment of the left most side bar label (default is align right)
    2) Remove the picture for user profile
    Also I found that the left side bar item cannot get refreshed/updated after changing settings in personalization page (such as show and hide pages)
    I have searched in OTN and there is no similar solution, any pointer is highly appreciated. Thanks

    You can publish your customized portlet in the catalog. For this, you have to create a Mashup from the WC Administration > Mashup, add portlet on this mashup from catalog, customize it and then add this mashup in catalog from WC Administration --> Catalog. You will find all these mashups in Taskflows section of Catalog.
    Using this approach, you cannot personalize your portlet.

  • ADF Webcenter Portal Deployment System Hardware and Software configurations

    HI All,
    Anyone please help me to sort out this issue.
    I need to have the production System requirements of Hardware and Software.
    Please let me know.
    Thanks / Balaji.

    Hi.
    Do you need High Avaiability in your environment?
    Are you planning work with Spaces or Portal?.
    A typical architecture consists in a cluster of two machines por HA.
    About your response/users requirement I think that next settings will be OK (approach):
    - Each WC_SpacesX node 4g or 6g
    - Each UCM_Server 2g
    - Each WC_CollaboratrionX 1g
    - If don't use Portlets, Analytics and others you can maintain shutdown these servers.
    Approximatelly you'll consume 23GB RAM with all components working (Analytics also, portlets... also).
    For performance and good response of pages don't forget next tips:
    - WebTier OHS installed with DEFLATE module enabled. It reduces too much static files loaded in WebCenter like CSS, JS and Images.
    - Put your custom images in OHS instead of inside of WebCenter platform.
    - Don't install WebCache. It's not useful for WebCenter.
    - Configure JoC (Java Object Cache) for cluster caching.
    Remember that this information it's only an approach based on my experience, you've to investigate and work with Oracle to decide the best apporach for your requirements.
    Regards.

  • ADF: Problem with List and ListOfValues bindings

    In my page I have panelSplitter.
    In first facet I have panelCollection with ADF tree. For the tree definition I have Iterator binding, which contains the elements with no parent and one accessor, which define a recursive master-detail hierarchy. For the tree node I have specified TragetIterator property, that look up second iterator binding, which containes all tree elements (parents and their children).
    In second facet I have panelForm with input fields, based on second iterator binding. So when the user clicks on any node in the tree, it can see and edit in input fields the data for this node.
    In panelCollection I have placed two buttons to create a new node and to delete current node.
    By creation of new node I do the following:
    1) From currently selected node I get the value of one attribute named Code, which is alternate unique key;
    2) From second iterator binding I get the ViewObject, create a new Row and for the "parent" attribute I set the value derived from step 1.
    3) I rerender through PPR tree component and PanelForm with input fields.
    As result I have a new empty node in the tree and empty input fields in second facet, which must be populated and submitted (commited).
    My problem happens after I populate all fields in panelForm, when I commit changes (press Button with Commit action binding) and rerender page content. The exception, which is trown is listed below.
    I want to make the follwing additional remarks:
    1) My primary key in ViewObject is ROWID. I need this attribute to uniquely identify created new rows.
    2) The problem happens only when in panelForm I have field based on Model driven List or ListOfValues binding (<af:selectOneChoice> or <af:inputListOfValues>).
    When I create a new row the ADF BC assign to it one "dummy" ROWID (for example 317499) and after Commit this ROWID is replaced wtih actual ROWID from database. But I don't understand, why after commit of changes on the page the method findByKey of oracle.jbo.server.ViewObjectImpl is called with initial "dummy" ROWID (317499)?
    When there is no field based on List or ListOfValues binding, then there are no calls of findByKey method and there is no such problem.
    And that is the exception:
    2009-7-29 18:04:54 oracle.adf.controller.faces.lifecycle.FacesPageLifecycle addMessage

    I have resolved my problem. I have changed the type of list binding to be Dynamic List (not Model Driven List).

  • Problems with combination of ADF Faces, Tomahawk, Facelets and MyFaces

    Hello,
    I am trying to combine all things named in the Subject and run into several problems:
    1. ADF Render Kit forces the Tomahawk Components to be rendered in a wrong way or stop there functionality.
    Example 1: The clickable parts of the t:dataScroller Tag can not be accessed because an empty a Tag will be rendered after the outputText.
    Example 2: The t:commandSortHeader Tag can be clicked but the table content will not be sorted anymore.
    The given examples works if i remove the default-render-kit-id element from the faces-config.xml
    2. The ad:table Tag runs into an ClassCastException, only when I put a simple example code snipped into my xhtml file.
    Code snipped:
    <af:table>
    <af:column>
    <f:facet name="header">
    <af:outputText value="Firstname"/>
    </f:facet>
    </af:column>
    <af:column>
    <f:facet name="header">
    <h:outputText value="Lastname"/>
    </f:facet>
    </af:column>
    </af:table>
    The stack trace look like this:

    I followed all steps for the ADF installation and the suggested steps for using ADF with Facelets.
    Used versions:
    - Oracle ADF Faces 10.1.3 Early Access
    - myFaces 1.1.1
    - Facelets 1.1.1
    - oc4j 10.1.2.0.2
    Has somebody try to use these things together, too?
    Thanks,
    Carsten

    Hi,
    Inside our fusion applications(ADF/Webcenter) using combination of JSTL and ADF Faces is good practice or pitfal?
    To suggest a a rule of thumb: Try ADF Faces on-board functionality first before reaching out to JSTL. The difference between JSF in general and JSTL is that the JSTL expressions are evaluated at page compile time wheras JSF expressions are evaluated deferred. This difference may have an impact to PPR refreshes and the data rendering (which in many cases I assume you can fix by setting the ADF Faces component content delivery to immediate instead of deferred). On a training slight I flagged JSTL with a "heads up" alert because of this
