Adjusting Transactions- trying to save changes getting error

Question

I am trying to save changes to distribution segments on Transactions in the Receivables module (Transactions --> Transactions) and I am getting this error message:
FRM-40654 Record Cannot be Updated.
A search in Metalink said to check for trailing spaces. However, it says
Please find file afchrchk.sql under $FND_TOP/sql. Please run the
same and this will create a procedure: chk_trail_space. Now after successfully
running this , please execute the below commands and then this will diagnose
the problematic columns (trailing spaces) and then run subsequent update scripts
and check whether the issue is resolved or not.
But we do not find afchrchk.sql in $FND_TOP/sql.
What would be the problem?

what version of apps are you on? On 11.5.10 it is available under $FND_TOP/sql

basically what afchrchk.sql does is to check for spaces on varchar2 columns for tables that you provide as an input and then trim those.
You can do the same by querying and updating ra_customer_trx, ra_customer_trx_lines and other related tables setting all varchar2 column values to trim(column_name)
