Admin console doesn't load
Hi all,
I'm having some problems after logging into the admin console. For some reason unknown to me the side nav bar loads but the main frame doesn't load and just times out.
This is the error i get after waiting for a few mins.

Anyone have any ideas/suggestions on how to fix this?
Thanks
In my opinion, API testing for ESSO is not possible. Which are the modules in ESSO that you are using? Following are the ideas I can think of:
ESSO Logon Manager: I know WinRunner is one of the ways to test complete functionality of ESSO-LM. I have never used Load-Runner on ESSO, but you might want to check if you can generate load using that.
ESSO Password Reset: This can only be tested manually, since ESSO-PR is invoked before logging onto Windows machine.
ESSO Authentication Manager: If you are using a combination of tokens and smart cards, then you have to test this manually. If you are using passwords, then you might be able to automate the actions using WinRunner/LoadRunner.
ESSO Provisioning Gateway: Since this process is invoked by OIM, you will be able to generate load on this ESSO module by using OIM Provisioning API to provision large number of users.
ESSO Kiosk Manager: I don't know too much about this module, but if this involves Windows login-logout, then you may not be able to automate this. Else, you can use WinRunner/LoadRunner.
My advise is that you ask the developers to give you a complete demo for the usage of ESSO and then you can judge accordingly on which tools can be used for testing the same.

Sun Oner Application Server 7 Admin Console doesn't start
When I start the Admin Console for Sun One Application Server 7, and after I login, the admin console doesn't display in the browser. I have tried starting the admin console with IE and Netscape browser, but the admin console has failed to start in either IE or netscape.
-Type this in your IE
http://localhost:4848
-IF it does not work type the following
http://kishan:4848 ("kishan" is your machine name)
-IF it does not work do the following
Forgot the Admin Server Port Number? If you do not remember the HTTP server port number of the administrative server, you can inspect the administrative server's configuration file to determine the HTTP server port number.
1. Navigate to the <domain_config_dir>/domain1/admin-server/config/ directory.
2. Open the server.xml file in your favorite editor. Look for the element:
<http-listener id="http-listener-1" address="0.0.0.0" port="4848"...
In this case, port 4848 is the HTTP port number in use.
Forgot the Username or Password? If you do not remember the administrative user name that was supplied during installation, try the user name "admin". This is the default user name specified in the server configuration dialog during installation. If you still cannot determine the user name, look in the following file:
<domain_config_dir>/domain1/admin-server/config/admpw
This file contains the administrator's user name followed by the encrypted form of the administrative user's password.
If you do not remember the administrator's password, then you can delete the administrative domain using the delete-domain subcommand of asadmin and create a new domain with a new administrative password.
Port Not Accessible? If the connection was refused when attempting to contact the administrative server's admin console application, it is likely that the administrative server is not running. Go back to the beginning of this section and double check the your startup procedures and the content of the administrative server's log file to determine the reason why the server is not running. -

FMS Admin Console Won't Load - Server Not Found
Hey,
Randomly on Sunday night the FMS Admin Console which you can access via http://SERVER IP/fms_adminConsole.htm stopped working, as in it would not load.
It times out and Firefox says 'Server Not Found'
It was working fine on Sunday morning and has been doing for a year now, I rebooted the server and that did nothing.
I have no idea why it will not load as the server runs fine and I can still stream and everything.
Any ideas? From your desktop and on your server try the below. That is if you have installed using the default ports, if you have changed any on install (or afterwards) reflect the changes below.
telnet <IP of your server> 80
telnet <IP of your server> 8143
telnet <IP of your server> 1111
telnet <IP of your server> 1935
If any fail on your server, you have a service/install issue.
If any fail on your server, you have a firewall/IP issue. -
My Admin Console doesn't work properly
I'm J2e novice. I've just installed J2EE bundle and noticed that something is wrong:
1) Whenever I start Admin Console for domain1 (default settings) it looks and works worse than Samples Server Admin Console. Compare the screenshots on http://astro.ia.uz.zgora.pl/~nirgal/problem/sas.htm
2) I can't undeploy any web application (the undeploy button inactive -> see screenshots) using the Admin Console whereas undeploying on Samples Server works properly.
3) In general there is many error messages at the bottom edge of Admine Console window during any session.
Greetings
MaciejThere are "Error on page" errors only (displayed on the bottom info bar in the window).
These are warnings I found in the server.log:
1) Spaces in your PATH have been detected. The PATH must be consistently formated (e.g. C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0\bin; ) or the Appserver may not be able to start and/or stop. Mixed quoted spaces in your PATH can cause problems, so the launcher will remove all double quotes before invoking the process. The most reliable solution would be to remove all spaces from your path before starting the Appservers components.
(I found no spaces in my PATH )
2) default-locale attribute of locale-charset-info element has been deprecated and is being ignored. Use default-charset attribute of parameter-encoding element instead
3) C:\Sun\AppServer\lib\install\applications\admingui\adminGUI_war\index_pl.html File Not Found
(I found index.html in this directory. When I checked the file name to index_pl.html it didn't help.)
Hello2 works properly, and there are no hello2 related errors. But I still can't undeploy it using Admin Console due to inactive 'Undeploy' button (I marked the hello2 checkbox). -
Sun AS 9.1 UR2 Admin console doesn't ask for login name and password
I have an instance of Sun AS 9.1 installed on Linux, that has broken admin console. The console never asks for login and password, just lets the user to do anything.
I didn't set it up and I've never seen that. There's Policy Agent installed because of some apps and maybe this is causing the problem. But I don't know. I just need to secure the console (anyhow).
Any ideas what could happen? Any hints where to look, what libs could be overwritten by bad version or something? This is probably the only thread that relates to the problem i am facing.
I have encountered the same issue whereby the user ID shows up empty.
Accessing the console without having the need to enter credentials is causing me some serious security issues.
Martin777, have you found any ways to secure your console?
Thanks. -

Business Catalyst admin console just doesn't work. Can't add domain..
My admin console will not let me add a domain. The page loads and then disappears which is very odd. I have reset safari, emptied my cache ect and do not know what is wrong but I cannot add a domain which is very frustrating. My client wants the site up today and business catalyst is not allowing me to do that! Help please!!
I have tried to click on 'manage site' and delete the site from BC and start over again but same thing happens here. I click on the tab, the page flashes up and then quickly changes to a page with no content showing. This is very very frustrating and I do not know what else to do....
I have attached two screenshots to show you all what happens on my screen.
Any help would like highly appreciated.
Regards,
Luke.Hi Luke,
Hope this doesn't take away from your post but...
Yesterday was only the first time I went to use Business Catalyst and the same happened to me (I think)... after following this prompt.. from dreamweaver.. Now I can't seem to get past this screen and have had no chance of finding "Business Catalyst web adminstration console" also yesterday it would work slightly (some links were live) but no matter the screen I didn't have adminstrative authority. Even though I'm the soul user!
Any chance, the site is just down for "upkeeping" or something?
Sincerely,
Shannon -

I have added contents marked in bold manually....
but it was not picking up it from frontend...then suddenly after 20 time, it picked up these changes in admin...
but now if I am trying to change in <client> tag , but it does not recognise any new changes done manually...it loads same obj.conf...whenever i restart instance from frontend...
Edited by: sweetvish on Nov 9, 2009 9:26 PMAfter making manual changes in obj.conf, have you tried clicking the 'Apply' link in admin console and then choosing 'Load configuration Changes' option?

Weblogic Admin console applet does not load
I have installed Weblogic 6.1 SP3 with JDK 1.4.2_03. The admin console applet was
working initially but when I installed oracle 8.1, the applet failed to load.
A cross sign appears instead of navigation applet tree in the console application.
I have set the classpath and java_home variables correctly. I tried to point java_home
to jdk1.3.1 (java version shipped with Weblogic 6.1) and also changed entire classpath
to point to jdk1.3.1 but no effect. The same configuration works on another machine
where oracle is not installed.
Please help...
Thanks in advance

BizTalk Admin Console not responding when loading configuration
Hi All,
I have a BizTalk 2013 R2 test environment which has separate BizTalk and SQL servers.
Due to something went wrong with the BizTalk server so I built another BizTalk
server and joined the same BizTalk group and I also moved the master secret
server to the new BizTalk server. I removed the old BizTalk server from the
group and shut the old server down.
But when I am using the new server to load the configuration for any receive or send ports,
the MMC gave me the "this snap-in is not responding" alert and if I canceled the alerts a couple of times, the configuration info can be loaded.
The admin console is fast when not loading configuration though.
Does anybody have any ideas what could be wrong?
Thanks,
David
DavidThis issue could be because of many reasons. Work on the below pointers.
1) I would suggest you to start with performing BizTalk Repair to avoid any registry issues, because in most of the cases Admin console related issues are solved by BizTalk repair only.
2) Check if SQL Server and MSDTC service is running properly.
As a Last option collect DebugDiag logs and try to analyze the same.

Admin console for connector doesn't work
I deployed the sample connector "BlackBoxNoTx.rar" under
wlserver6.1_beta\samples\examples\jconnector\simple.
There's no error. but in admin console for deployments/connector,
I can not see any configuration info(such as JNDI name)under monitoring. It always
display blank.
Is it a known bug?
thanks
Hi
The language problem is a mystery. Maybe that's why your password doesn't work anymore - just a thought.
However Reset Password is found in the menu bar on the Installer application.
Then you may have a chance to select the hard drive, and then your user name.

The environment had been up and running for many months, have done many successfull restarts occasionally. But after an ungraceful shutdown (database connection was down and managed server wouldn't shutdown through admin console) of the managed server & admin server, the startup through admin console stopped working. No configurations had been modified and we have two other systems working with similar configurations.
The log is stating that "<The admin server could not be reached at http://10.123.456.78:7001.>" but it actually is listening at that IP and port and I can connect to it with other means. I'm able to ping the hostname, IP, localhost etc... and network connection shouldn't be an issue even though the log states so.
Does anyone have any ideas what is broken? Thanks for any help in advance!Hi,
With script I meant the startManagedWebLogic.cmd script (on Windows). The managed server is running on the same machine as the admin server.
The hosts file has also been checked, it has the same content as two other environments which are working fine. But anyway we tried adding the IP & hostname there, but it didn't fix the issue. Nothing is wrong with the DNS either.
I'm also able to ping the address:port, with the command you gave I get the following result:
Sending 1 ping of 100 bytes.
RTT = ~0 milliseconds, or ~0 milliseconds/packet
When I'm trying to restart the managed server through admin console (on my laptop), I can see on the server side that there is a connection to the IP:port of admin server from my laptop's IP:
C:\>netstat -an | grep 7001
TCP 10.123.456.78:7001 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING
TCP 10.123.456.78:7001 10.164.51.33:3965 ESTABLISHED
I again want to say that no changes have been done to any configurations in the environment. It was working fine before the "ungraceful" shutdown, where the connection to DB (that the managed server uses) was down and neither the managed or admin server would shutdown through admin console, but were shutdown by closing the cmd prompt window(used to start admin server) and java.exe task from taskmgr (managed server). -
Weblogic admin console always loads in production mode
We recently upgraded from Weblogic 12.1.1 to 12.1.3. Up until then we've used the <internal-apps-deploy-on-demand-enabled>true</internal-apps-deploy-on-demand-enabled> option in config.xml without any issues. However, after the upgrade any time we start the server in production mode Weblogic deploys the admin console even with the option set. The documentation for this option hasn't changed so we're led to believe that it should still work the way it worked in 12.1.1. We're wondering if this is a bug with the new version or if there is something else we need to set to get the behavior in 12.1.3 to work the same as 12.1.1. We don't utilize the admin console frequently but would like it to be available without using WLST to enable it before logging in.
Thank you,
Kent Z.Could be that the element name or location in the config.xml has been changed.
Try to set InternalAppsDeployOnDemandEnabled through the general config page in the wlc or use wlst to see if if works.
On-demand Deployment of Internal Applications
