Admin Console isn't available

I have just installed WebLogic on two systems (both different OSs) and neither of them allow me to use the admin console. The address was given to me at the end of the setup and there were several addresses, one for SSL. I tried the two that were provided to me but there isn't anything there when I put the address in the browser, I just end up with a "site not found" page. I noticed on my OS X setup that there is an exception in one of the log files:

My FMS is running on a Centos-Based VPS.
You can install FMS using the default velues expect installing Apache (as its already serving as your Web Server).
After that, you'll have to open both ports 1935 for FMS (if you choose it by default) and 1111 for the Admin Server.
You can use this SSH command as root user to open a port on your Centos Based firewall:
"iptables -I INPUT -p tcp --dport 1935 --syn -j ACCEPT"
"iptables -I INPUT -p tcp --dport 1111 --syn -j ACCEPT"
If you would like to open a udb port for FMS, you can use this SSH command:
"iptables -I INPUT -p udp --dport 1935 -j ACCEPT"
*Without the quotes....
You can use yougetsignal.com to see if the ports are open on your mydomain.com or IP and accessible from the public.
If both ports are open on you Server's firewall, you'll have to be sure that FMS and the Admin Server are running, otherwise yougetsignal will told you that the ports are closed while they're open, because there's no services using them.
To start FMS and the Admin Server, do the following command:
"cd /opt/adobe/fms"
and :
"./fmsmgr server fms start"
and:
"./fmsmgr adminserver start"
Now, you have to go to /opt/adobe/fms/webroot/ and copy both fms_adminConsole.htm and the folder "swfs" and paste them somewhere in your webroot (/home/your-username/public_html)
and run it from your domain name by pointing the browser to where you paste the copied file and folder.
Any further questions, don't hesitate to ask,
Ilimaan

  • How do I get access to Mobile documents admin console login with SAP HANA Cloud cockpit?

    Hi All,
    I am trying to launch SAP Mobile Documents from my trail version of SAP HANA Cloud.
    The Help link which I had followed  via link:
    https://help.hana.ondemand.com/help/frameset.htm?dc618538d97610148155d97dcd123c24.html#concept_0B49F10346C94249845EC16364FFF66D_76
    In SAP Cloud HANA Cockpit Using the link available in Authorization>Authorization Management
    I had created an user assigned to a Group, and Group has been assigned to a  Role ODP-OPERATOR,
    Next step, when I am trying to assign a token, I could not able find a token. How to get a token from here?
    My intention of creating user, group, role and token is for getting access to Mobile documents admin console.
    However I have also tried to access the mobile documents admin console via link
    https://smd-p1886950994trial.hana.ondemand.com/mcm/admin
    When I browse the above link, It shows HTTP 503 the requested service is not currently available.
    I am not sure, How to get access Mobile documents Admin page from here
    Could someone clarify on this please?

  • Read only access to Admin Console in WL 6.1

    Hi,
    I've seen a couple of questions already posted about this... but so far no answers!
    Does anyone know how to grant read only access to the WL 6.1 Admin Console? The
    supplied user "guest" doesn't seem to have any access, so I was wondering what
    needs to be edited to enable this.... I've tried adding ACL's with "read" permission,
    but that doesn't seem ot help.
    Any thoughts would be most appreciated.
    Jim

    Brown,
    This functionality is not available in 6.1. The newest version of wls
    8.1 has this feature depending on the role that the user is in.

  • Admin Console browser problem

    Hi,
    This is a peculiar problem that I am facing. I am working with iPS3.0SP3 on solaris8. My installation went fine. But when I try to access Admin console(thru Netscape 4.7 or 4.75), I have the login screen displayed. But, after I provide User and Password and hit Submit button, the browser window vanishes. This has been happening with SP2 also. And my login to the portal desktop screen is successful. My browser window is available. The problem is only with the Admin Console.
    Now when I tried to Login to the same portal server instance's Admin Console thru the local Web Browser on a different machine, its working fine. I mean, the windows doesnt close.
    Any guess on what could be the problem.
    Thanks & Regards.
    shivaram.

    Hi there Shivaram,
    I have found a similar problem, when using iPS. If you have logged into the portal desktop and then wan't to log into the admin console, the admin console seems to fail when logging in. What I have found, is that after you logout of the desktop, and then go to the console login, it helps to just click the reload button in netscape, while on the admin console login screen. It seems that you need to clear the session cookie first, otherwise admin authentication fails. Alternatively you can start a seperate instance of Netscape from the command line, which then forces Netscape to create an alternative temporary store, and lock files. I'm not sure wheteher this will help, but this is what I have seend before.... comments welcome..

    I just installed solaris 8/07 fully patched the OS using smpatch went to use smc and get No Solaris Management Console server was available error.

    Any idea?

    Admin please move or delete this post I have tried and can't find an option to delete.
    I'm really sorry I put this in the wrong forum. Center not Console.
    Edited by: mark42324 on Jan 31, 2009 6:22 PM

    Regarding SMC (not SunMC)..
    Note: SMC = Solaris Management Console
    SunMC = Sun Management Center (topic of this forum)
    Patch 121308-16+ makes WBEM "secure by default."
    Customers running Solaris 10 6/06 or prior must modify the client's WBEM
    configuration file to allow remote connections after installing patch 121308.
    1. Modify the following line in /usr/sadm/lib/smc/policy/smcserver.config:
    FROM:
    remote.connections=false
    TO:
    remote.connections=true
    2. Stop and restart wbem.
    # /etc/init.d/init.wbem stop
    # /etc/init.d/init.wbem start
    3. Verify that WBEM is now listening for connections to port 898
    on all interfaces:
    # netstat -an |grep 898
    *.898 *.* 0 0 49152 0 LISTEN
    In Solaris [TM]10 update 3 (11/06), the startup mechanism for WBEM was changed
    from the legacy (rc script) method to the new Service Management Facility (SMF).
    To allow remote WBEM connections on Solaris 10 update 3 or later:
    # svcadm disable wbem
    # svccfg -s wbem setprop options/tcp_listen=true
    # svcadm enable wbem

  • Sun java system application server 8 custom realm lock the admin console up

    Hi:
    I implemented a custome realm. After I installed the custom realm to Sun App server 8 PE, I can get into the admin console any more. According to the log, the user is authenticated. However, this user isn't in write group to access the admin console. What would be the user group in a custom realm to access admin console?
    In version 7, even you set up custom realm the admin console still not affected by the custom realm. Why is the admin console in version 8 picking up custom realm?
    Thanks.

    Previous reply was quite misleading - there is no such thing as default admin password for standalone installation of Application Server. Default values only apply to Application Server installation installed through Creator or NetBeans installer.
    Otherwise, you have to specify admin user name and password at installation time. Admin username value is defaulted to "admin" so unless you changed it in your installation that should still apply. You had to enter explicit password values.
    If you forgot those, you can either uninstall and reinstall or you can take a look at Troubleshooting Guide for instructions on reseting admin authentication:
    http://docs.sun.com/source/817-6085/troubleshooting.html#1026910

  • Admin console does not open

    Hello everybody!!
    this is my first post.Please help me.
    I am new to JEE and i am having problem in starting it.I have installed JEE 5 update 3 on win XP and i am using Firefox mozilla as my browser.
    The installation of JEE goes fine and i get the congratulation message that installation is successfull.
    Then when i start the default server the message on the command promt is like this::
    Starting Domain domain1, please wait.
    Log redirected to C:\Sun\SDK\domains\domain1\logs\server.log.
    Redirecting output to C:/Sun/SDK/domains/domain1/logs/server.log
    Domain domain1 is ready to receive client requests. Additional services are bein
    g started in background.
    Domain [domain1] is running [Sun Java System Application Server 9.1 (build b58g-
    fcs)] with its configuration and logs at: [C:\Sun\SDK\domains].
    Admin Console is available at [http://localhost:4848].
    Use the same port [4848] for "asadmin" commands.
    User web applications are available at these URLs:
    [http://localhost:8080 https://localhost:8181 ].
    Following web-contexts are available:
    [web1  /__wstx-services ].
    Standard JMX Clients (like JConsole) can connect to JMXServiceURL:
    [service:jmx:rmi:///jndi/rmi://WAGONTRACKER:8686/jmxrmi] for domain management p
    urposes.
    Domain listens on at least following ports for connections:

    After this when i start the Admin console from > start > program

    I checked the log it shows the message with following error Unexpected error forwarding or redirecting to login page.
    I am copy pasting the entire error message.Please guide me if u can ::

  • Regarding Participant Creation::Authentication in Oracle BPM Admin Console

    Hi,
    Q1:- Could anyone help me in validating whether we can additional information about participant in Admin console. The parameters available for Participant creation are:
    UserId, First Name,Last Name, Email, Password, Confirm Passowrd, etc.
    Now suppose, I want to add Manager's information also like Manager's Name and Manager's ID with the Participant information. These fields are not present in Participant Creation form.
    Is it possible to add these information also?? If yes, how??
    Q2:- We are using PAPI API where we have ASP.net which is used as Front-End and thru PAPI, BPM process is initiated which means we are not going to use BPM Workspace at all. Is it possible that we can disable the Authentication property of BPM Engine when we require interaction with external .net application via PAPI API. Please suggest?
    Thanks in advance,
    Abhishek

    Hi,
    not any thing new from the already given answer. But, i hope this examples gives more clarity.
    Answers below:
    1) ORACLE_SID is the answer
    2) see the output below.
    SQL> startup nomount
    ORACLE instance started.
    Total System Global Area 61785680 bytes
    Fixed Size 730704 bytes
    Variable Size 58720256 bytes
    Database Buffers 2048000 bytes
    Redo Buffers 286720 bytes
    SQL> select instance_name from v$instance;
    INSTANCE_NAME
    mytestdB
    SQL>
    SQL> show parameter db_name
    NAME TYPE
    VALUE
    db_name string
    mytestdB
    3) Check environment variables for ORACLE_HOME variable will let you know the location of the PFILE. By default it will be ORACLE_HOME/database (windows), ORACLE_HOME/dbs (LINUX/UNIX).
    SET command will help you or use widows options.
    In some other cases, the PFILE contains the link to it with IFILE value left in PFILE which should show the location.
    4) Check environment variables for ORACLE_HOME variable will let you know the location of the password file. By default it will be expected in ORACLE_HOME/database (windows), ORACLE_HOME/dbs (LINUX/UNIX).
    Regrds,
    Vasu.

  • Index page not showing in the Admin Console

    Hello I have downloaded the J2EE package. It was working fine for a couple of months. Recently though, I had a problem in the admin console. After I login successfully, not all the framesets of the admin page is displaying. The top frameset and the left frameset display perfectly. However the index frameset displayed exception messages. • Getting admin console snapshot

    Hi,
    We're trying to generate a snapshot of our application when we shut it down. The Weblogic Admin console allows us to get the number of bean in memory, the number cached, etc. for all session and entity beans. The problem with this approach is that it requires manual intervention to navigate the admin applet and get all the information.
    I believe I can script this with the weblogic.Admin API but by looking at the docs, I'm not really sure how to go about it. I basically want information on all entuty and stateless session beans being used at the time a shutdown is requested.
    How would I go about scripting the retrieval of this information?
    Thanks,
    L

    You could use the WLSHELL utility. It will make your job alot easier.

    Well, yes I could, but isn't that kind of rewriting the console? In theadmin docs, I see this:
    >
    In addition to the Web-based Administration Console, WebLogic Serverprovides a
    command-line utility for accessing configuration and monitoring attributesof
    domain resources. This tool is provided for those who want to createscripts to
    automate system management
    which is pretty much what I'm trying to achieve. I'd rather reuse existingstuff
    rather than write my own. It's just that the docs are flaky on thesubject.
    >
    I'm going thru the JMX docs to see if I can figure out how to access thestate of all
    my beans with he command-line tool; if not,
    then I guess I'll roll my own.

  • Not able to open Admin console with other Administrator account other than "system"

    I am trying to create new users and add them to "Administrator" and "Administrators"
    so that they can access Admin console. I tried open up "http://localhost:7001/console"
    and entered in this new id and password, but it did not allow me in. At the same
    time if i enter "system" and "password" i was able to logon successfully.
    Can some one please let me know what i am missing here? Do i have to update any
    "Realm" files? And changes have to be made any other location?
    My idea is to have 3 people in different sub teams to access console and not use
    "system" user account.
    Please let me know if you need any more information.
    Thanks

    I've tried this in 6.1 and it doesn't seem to work. Is there a special
    configuration issue. essentially, I want to create a user name dev1 that has
    administrative privileges to start and stop selected servers within a

  • Weblogic 10, WLST and Admin Console Classpath Exceptions

    I've been deploying an application to Weblogic 10 (not 10.3 from Oracle, the last version under the BEA logo) for a few weeks now without a problem. We're going to upgrade to 10.3 from Oracle in our development environment and play around with that hopefully today but I can't imagine a dot-version being much different so I figured I'd post the issue anyway.
    Recently, we've been having some issues with the WLST script we use to deploy/redeploy the application. It seems to have just started happening randomly which is odd because the script has not been modified since the get-go. What's happening is the application is compiled, staged and then the WLST script kicks off, log into the application server, looks to see if the app is already deployed, if it is, it redploys it with the latest code and then starts it up and then exits. Every now and again, the next time we go to deploy the application, the WLST fails saying that someone currently has a lock on the admin console. When we log in to the admin console, we see that the user the WLST script uses to log into the admin console currently has a lock on the console and we have the option to take the lock from this user.
    When we click the button to take the lock, we get a HUGE exception in the lefthand panel where the Lock & Edit button typically is that says something along the lines of:
    Error opening ...
    The source of this error is javax.servlet.ServletException: javax.xml.transform.TransformerFactoryConfigurationError: Provider net.sf.saxon.TransformerFactoryImpl not found at weblogic.servlet.internal.ServletStubImpl.execute(ServletStubImpl.java:324) at weblogic.servlet.internal.ServletStubImpl.execute(ServletStubImpl.java:175) at weblogic.servlet.internal.RequestDispatcherImpl.invokeServlet(RequestDispatcherImpl.java:528) at weblogic.servlet.internal.RequestDispatcherImpl.include(RequestDispatcherImpl.java:454) at org.apache.beehive.netui.pageflow.scoping.internal.ScopedRequestDispatcher.include(ScopedRequestDispatcher.java:119) at com.bea.netuix.servlets.controls.content.JspContent.beginRender(JspContent.java:551) at ...
    If I click on the 'Home' button along the upper righthand corner to go back to the home page of the admin console, the error goes away, the 'Activate Changes' button reappears, and then I click that and the Lock & Edit button reappears, then if I go back to my WLST script and run it, it runs successfully. If I log back into the admin console, everything appears normally. This happens intermittently and I'm not sure why it's happening some times and not others. If my WLST script is incorrect I would assume it would behave this way EVERY time.
    I also don't get why the xml transformer factory SOMETIMES throws the exception and sometimes it doesn't. It also happens when I try to click on a JDBC data source. Same exact exception is thrown on the default configuration tab, if I click on any of the other tabs available after clicking on my JDBC data source, those all appear fine, just the initial default Configuration > General tab shows this huge exception. If I stop and restart the application server, these exceptions magically go away...the odd thing is this exception being thrown seems to be referencing libraries made available by my deployed application (the whole net.sf.saxon.TransformerFactoryImpl class is in a library we deploy with our application). These jar files containing these libraries should ONLY be available to the deployed application, I'm not putting these files on the classpath of the application server, so why the application server's admin console have any knowledge of these libraries? Could these be mucking with the overall functionality of the admin server's behavior?
    Here is my WLST script I use the deploy the application. If you see something wrong with it, any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Any thoughts on the whole classpath of my application being used by the Weblogic Admin console would be helpful too.
    WLST Script:
    connect("merlin", "merlin595")
    # check to see if the apb data source exists and if so, make sure it's targeting the AdminServer
    try:
         # Either deploy or redeploy application
         try:
              print 'Checking for the existence of the APB application.'
              cd('/AppDeployments/apbEar')
              print 'The APB application will be redeployed.'
              progress=redeploy('apbEar')
              print 'Status of redeployment: ' + progress.getState()
         except WLSTException:
              print 'The APB application has not yet been deployed to this server, so application will be deployed for the first time now.'
              progress=deploy(appName='apbEar', path='/opt/weblogic/merlinpb/merlinpbEar/apbEar', targets='AdminServer')
              print 'Status of initial deployment: ' + progress.getState()
         # Start application
         try:
              print 'Starting APB application'
              startApplication(appName='apbEar')
         except WLSTException:
              pass
         disconnect()
         print 'End of script, exiting WLST...'
         exit()
    except WLSTException:
         print 'Could not deploy apb. Please log into the admin console and attempt the deployment manually.'
    Oh, one final thing I've noticed when I use this script. The last thing the script says WHEN it actually runs successfully is:
    <Nov 13, 2008 10:57:13 AM EST> <Warning> <JNDI> <BEA-050001> <WLContext.close() was called in a different thread than the one in which it was created.>
    Why does it say that? What does that mean? Is my script mot structure correctly above?
    Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks again!
    Rob

    Hey Mike,
    The problem I was experiencing was that we had code that was applying an XSL stylesheet against XML we are getting from the database. In order for this stylesheet to work, we had to set code that does the following:
    System.setProperty("javax.xml.transform.TransformerFactory", "net.sf.saxon.TransformerFactoryImpl");
    Now the first time this code was called, and someone subsequently went to the Weblogic admin console, the screens would be completely unreachable...we were experiencing loads of compilation errors. So I did some digging and tried various other ways to set the TransformerFactory class that wouldn't affect the system as a whole. I found, by sheer luck, the fact that you can set this parameter in the weblogic-application.xml file located in the META-INF directory of your root EAR folder. The very first element in the XML of my weblogic-application.xml file is now:
    <wls:xml>
         <wls:parser-factory>
              <wls:transformer-factory>net.sf.saxon.TransformerFactoryImpl</wls:transformer-factory>
         </wls:parser-factory>
    </wls:xml>
    I now deploy the application with this and my reports are transformed properly and the admin console and command-line WLST scripts are all working uninterrupted as well without any adverse side-effects. Hope that helps. Just an aside, in preparation for the upgrade to WLS10, I restructured our application to a split development directory structure...this structure in combination with Workshop 10 really has made development and deployment much easier.
    Best of luck. Cheers!
    Rob
