Admiright Problem with Tdms Excel Automation

Hi
i have a problem with the TDMS Excel Plugin. I normally have now Administrator Rights on my Computer. So i got the Administator Rights to install the TDMS Excel Plugin. After i had the rights, i installed the Plugin and everything works fine. Then i wrote a VBA script with automatically imports TDMS Files and Copy &Paste Values in a new Excel sheet. Thes macro also works fine. After a while i lost my Admin Rights and i am a "Normal" user again. But with no more Admin-rights my macro doesn't work any longer. There is a error messange which tells me that " ...only a Administator can connect or disconnect the Plugin..."
The normal manual import with the Plugin still works.
Can anybody help me with this probblem?

Problem with an excel file

Dear All,
I have a problem with an EXCEL file, i'm in a domain with windows server 2003 and all of the computer have windows 7, a user had open 3 weeks ago a fil excel after she gone on holiday so the file remain open (i don't know how) by she.
I've try with all unlocker program to make the file deletable, but not work... it is very strange because if i try to open it with the account of the user that open the file appears always the same error (open read only)...

Hi,
You may end the Excel process first, the “PsTools” have a pskill command that you can use to end a process remotely.
Here’s a simple command:
pskill \\computer –u username -p password excel.exe

Problem with Protected Excel sheets through OLE

Hi Friends
We are facing the problem with the protected sheets in excel, when we are accessing worksheets via SAP.
We can insert the values in the protected sheet and we can do other manupalations, but when we are trying to do the autofit for the protected sheet via SAP, then its throwing an error while making it as Visible in SAP ECC 6.0.
Though it is valid, because even when we do in the excel itself, it wont allow the user to shrink the columns, but this one is possible in ECC 5.0 and we can make excel is visible on the screen.
I would like to know is this SAP Version problem or anything else apart from this? and I would like to know is there anyway to unprotect and protect the sheet through ABAP program with out a password. Now my clients wants the autofit though its protected.
Please give me any suggestions.

its bug with ECC 5.0. If we want to make it auto fit we need to unprotect, then auto fit.
Later we can protect again

Winshuttle problem with new excel sheet

Hi ,
I am getting Winshuttle problem after the excel upgraded to latest version.
when i open the winshuttle from icon, i dont get any prompt/no information.
Any ideas fromo experts ?

We solved the problem by going into the performance settings and disabling the "fade" functionality in Windows. To get to the screen to make the changes in Windows, open the Control Panel and navigate to "System". Open "System" and click on the "Advanced Settings" tab. Next, click on the button marked "Settings" in the "Performance" area. In the "Visual Affects" tab, clear the checkbox for three "Fade... " options.
I tested this successfully, even for users who have no administrative rights on their computer.
Please try this solution and see what results you receive. The strange thing in our situation is that the OS image used for laptops does not suffer the problem with Bex and WinShuttle as does the OS image used for desktop computers.
BG, are you from the UK? I ask as I watch a few UK television programs, and I notice they use "sorted" in the same manner us Americans use "taken care of" or as us Southerners say "figured out".

Problem with import server automation(MDIS)...........

When i am importing the delimiter text data file manually with import manager(by both port method & delimiter file), 1116 records are getting imported, but when i do import server automation with same file & Map only 130 records are getting imported in to repository.
Details of server.
SAP MDM 7.1.04.122 (SP4)
Observations
1. In sap MDM console when i see port details, the status of port is : HAS exception.
2. In Exception folder log is created in ImportX subfolder.
3.in log folder, in files i could see most of lines as
<Failure ts="2010/04/01 12:43:26.084 GMT" tid="4184" entry-no="39" operation="Import" import-action="Create" row="1">One or more field values are invalid</Failure>
Did anyone faced the similar issue, or did i do any mistake or missed any step...

As you said that status of your import Exception is Empty once you delete all the records from Exception folders.
But when you again import records through MDIS all records are not getting imported. right?
I feel that it could be also possible that saved map which you are using into Port may have missed field/values.
So, I would suggest please go for this step by step and let me know if you face any issue.
1st step: Open this file using Import manager Type = Delimited text, select your Remote System and Delimiter as per your requirement. Map all your Fields and Values. Make sure that all your desired fields and their values are mapped correctly.
Now in the last come to import status and check that Action items: Ready to import . Don't import records here but save this map File-->Save As->Give Map name say MAP1 and then close your import manager.
2nd Step: Put this file into Ready folder and make sure that you MDIS services is stopped so that you can open this same file using MDM Import Manager Type = Port and select you required Remote system which you defined in MDM Console while defining Port and make sure that this port in console also contain the same map MAP1. Also make sure that you put same Delimiter Correctly in port as you put during mdm import manager.
check the status of Import into Import status Tab as Action items: Ready to import or not. It should have Action Items: Ready to import if not then map the missing values/fields and then Go to File-->Save.
Now Run your MDIS Services, and put this same file into your ready folder. This should import all of your records into MDM and i feel this will solve your Problem with MDIS.
Revert with result.

HT201250 Problem with recent Excel 2011 update

I installed an update to Mac Excel 2011 yesterday. It complete sucessfully but the VBA component is now missing. All Exel files with VBA code now cannot be opened. The following message is shown for each:
Excel could not open xxxx.xlsm because some content is unreadable. Do you want to open and repair this workbook?
I attempted to use the Time Machine to restore the Excel applicatiion but it will not run because it says Excel is open when it is not.
Has anyone had a similar problem with the latest update to Excel?

I bought a refurb ipad 32gb. I have noticed when itunes via wifi fails to do an app update, it screws the whole ios; thereby forcing ipad to go into recovery mode. I thought Apple learned the hard way not to allow one app to bring down the whole os!! This is the 5th time an app caused this. last time Apple forced me to reinstall Itunes, wasted 2 hrs.
I worked hard saving up enough funds to get an iPad. Yes, i even paid Applecare too. If this can be fixed, I want a replacement or a full refund.

Problems with ALV - Excel after changing from 640 to 710

Hi all,
first i have to say, that i have tried to set this thread in the SAPGUI-Forum,
but i didn't get any answers, therefore i try it here.
I have changed our SAPGUI from 640 to 710. Now i get problems
with ALV-GRID display.
When i change the output to EXCEL-Inplace i get the Error-Message:
0K000
View cannot be switched: Product is not installed or integration is not active.
In 640 i don't have any problems. We have ECC6.
When i use GUI710 and SAP 4.6C i don't have any problems.
Simple Test is possible with SE16N and change ALV output to excel-inplace.
Can anybody help?

in Service.sap.com there is the first patch-level of the new GUI7.10.
i have install it without any problems.

Having sync problem with MS365 Excel

I have MS Excel on my Mac.
I bought the MS 365 which includes Excel.
However, I am having difficulty syncing Mac Excel with my iPad MS365 Excel.
I have set up the iCloud on both, though on the Mac its still named Skydrive.
I have no problem with OneNote which syncs without a hitch.
But on Excel, what work done on Mac does not immediately sync with the iPad.
They seem to be several days behind.
Any soution anyone?

Problem with an Excel Attachment - Mail adapter

Hello.
I have a problem when I want to attach an excel file. I have configured the communication channel for sending mails with mail package.
I have done the configuration in order to get an excel file. If I test the scenario with Content_Type "text/html" I recieve correctly the information in the mail body.
When I test the scenario with Content_Type "application/vnd.ms-excel", html tags (like: <br>, , &) are not converted. The file is attached as xls, but not converted correctly.
For example, with Content_Type "text/html":
Orders:
1 00023 ER123
2 89798 EHJ21
With Content_Type "application/vnd.ms-excel":
Orders:<br>1&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;00023&nbsp;&nbsp; ER123"<br&gt2&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;89798&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;EHJ21
I have tested with Content_Type for Word files and I have the same error too.
Do I have to set some special charset in the Content_Type?
Is this an Excel error?

I have generated the Excel file attachment with the following details.
Content-Type:- application/vnd.ms-excel;name="Filename.CSV".
Content: - Field1,Field2,Field3,NewLineCharacter,Field4,Field5,Field6.
Content-disposition = attachment
In R3 NewLineCharacter = CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES=>NEWLINE.
Select KEEP ATTACHMENT option in Mail receive adaptet config.
Excel file Filename.CSV was generated as attachment as follow.
Field1 Field2 Field3
Field4 Field5 Field6

Problem with comparing (excel related)

Problem: Basically all the vi does is grab values from excel and compare it with a pre-determined value and if the returned value is greater than or equal the vi stops and returns the cell which gave it thar value. I think it may that I am telling excel to compare a string value to a decimal value but I have tried that and it seems to stop instantly with a value which is cleary wrong.

Don't see a problem. Start at A4 and it stops on the first iteration as it should (because the cell is blank it converts to a 0 which is greater than -30). Starting at A5 it steps down to A368, again just as it should.

COM Component problem with BPC Excel

Hi!
We are using BPC MS 7.5 service pack 3 version. Microsoft Office 2007
On one of our client machines we got problem when trying to enter BPC for excel,nothing appears and something is downloading showing Installing COM Component from http://activex.microsoft.com/objects/ocget.dll site. And after a while Excel is shut down.
It´s the same errro entering from Launch Page or Log on from native Excel.
We have already tried uninstalling and installing BPC client and uninstalling and installing Microsoft Office on this specific client machine with the problem.

Problem with the Excel Download with GUI_DOWNLOAD

Hi Sdn,
I am reading the long text from FM READ_TEXT and downloding that text to Excel file in one cell with the GUI_DOWNLOAD FM (I got 16 lines of text and by using CONCATENATE i got 16 lines of text into a string variable).
The problem here I am facing is.
The text contains a # symbol in one line (Which is not a last line).
After downloading the file the text after the # symbol is coming in the next line.
I tried to REPLACE that # symbol with space but failed.
System not at all reading that symbol also.
The text came as LEE, ANDREW" Completed On: 2010/09/04#
Can any one help me to solve this issue.

My thoughts on a possible solution, convert the last character value to a HEX value and check if it falls within the ASCII/Unicode CP range, Obviously this becomes easier if you are just looking at a single language character set.
The below FM and code helps you check if the character falls within the ASCII char set.

Is there a problem with tdms and 64bit vista?

I have an executable developed on a vista ultimate 32bit platform and am trying to run it on a 64bit vista home edition.
the program writes and reads .ini files with no problem but it will not create and write to a TDMS file on the 64bit version
it works fine on vista 32bit
any thoughts?

LabVIEW generates an error on the (open create) function ( i cann't recall what the actual error is)
I also tried running the .exe in 32bit compatibility mode and no luck
I will see if the TDMS component exists

Problem with GOOP Excel Toolkit in Labview

Hi, all,
I have a Labview program using GOOP Excel Toolkit. I import some data from a text file into Excel file, then save the Excel file using the path and file name I input. This program is working fine on one computer, but when I copy this file to another computer, the run arrow becomes broken. The error message shows that in one of the SubVI of GOOP, Excel Save.vi, "Invoke Node: contains unwired or bad terminal". Below is the picture of excel save.vi. I did not change any wire in that SubVI, somehow it becomes unexcutable on the new computer.
Did any one have this problem before? How to solve this problem?

I'm assuming that you are talking about the "toolkit" linked here.
If so, it was actually developed by a 3rd party, Philips Research, so
it is not supported by National Instruments. There is some contact
information for the author at the bottom of the readme file included
with the package, so I would recommend trying your question there. I've
