Adobe acrobat x pro - pdfmaker for Outlook 2010

Using windows 7 pro 64 bit
Microsoft office 32 bit
I bought adobe acrobat x pro today thinking that would finally allow me again to use pdfmaker to back up folders
I don't see this feature at all available in Outlook.

In Outlook, go to File/Options/Add-Ins, and select Manage Com Add-ins, and click Go...
Then make sure the PDFMaker Office COM Addin is checked, select OK, restart, and it should be available.

RoboHelp 9/Acrobat X Pro Integration with Outlook 2010

Is anyone aware of any issues with RoboHelp 9 and/or Acrobat X Pro integrating with Outlook 2010? When I create a PDF for review using RoboHelp and then try to send it for shared review, I keep getting an error message when I try to add people to the To and CC lists in the Send for Shared Review dialog. Clicking either button brings up my Address Book from Outlook, and I can select people without any problems, but whenever I click OK, I get a Check Names dialog book that says:
Microsoft Outlook does not recognize"/O=Company Name", Select the address to use:
(No Suggestions)
At this point, all I can do is go back to the Address Book and try to add people again, but this leads to the same error.

Adobe Acrobat X Pro - Javascript for submit button

Hi,
I am new to Adobe Acrobat X Pro and I have just designed a fillable form and enabled user rights for reader, for them to send the form back as a PDF. I created the form with a submit button and have mailto:[email protected] but I want to know if it is possible to create a button that will run a javascript to bring up a persons Mircosoft Outlook contacts, so they can choose who they want to send the completed form too.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Adobe Acrobat X Pro Error in SharePoint 2010

I have a group of users who are unable to access PDF Files in a
Specific Folder in SharePoint 2010
They are however able to open PDF Files from emails, desktop, other shared folders and
other folders in SharePoint 2010. See the error message below.
Error Message:
There was an error opening this document. File open failed.
Note the users are currently using Adobe Acrobat X PRO. Could this be a permission issue in SharePoint?

In addition to permission, are you able to open same PDF from other folder or library? Just download PDF file using windows explorer and upload in any library folder and open it.
Since you are able to open other PDF files so i suspect that there is issue with specific file only. You might also try to same file in different browser.

Adobe Acrobat X Pro extension for Firefox 4 for a Mac, where is it?

Recently updated to Firefox, however, the extensions for Adobe Acrobat X Pro, v 10.0.2 are not compatible and some pdf files will not print. When will the extension be available?

Adobe acrobat 8 pro download for mac

I just got a new Mac and my old Mac had Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro installed on it and I use it for work and I don't a newer version for what I do and I would rather not pay for an upgrade. Is there a free download somewhere of Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro or can I somehow transfer the software from my old computer to my new one?

Adobe Acrobat 9.3.2 - MS Outlook 2010 x64 RTM - send an email

Hello!
I have the new Office 2010 x64 RTM (no Beta!) on my System installed. But If I klick on the Email Button there comes an Error Message with following Content:
"There is no Email Client as default configured ..."
But that´s wrong!
This Problem is only with the 64 bit Version of Outlook 2010.
The 32 bit Version does not make the same trouble.
Has someone found a Solution?

The release notes do not seem to fix your issues, but mention Office fixes:

2605080: When creating a PDF from Word on a 64 bit OS, the PDF is not visible until after pressing the Cancel button in the progress dialog box.• 2616790: Graphs inserted into a Word document by a 3rd party software do not appear after conversion to PDF. Ready to switch to mac - buying on Friday - deal breaker though would be that there are no programs like acrobat 9 pro extended that can create pdf files from almost any video file...
anything like that available on mac??

Adobe Acrobat X Pro not printing correctly

Having issues with printing through Adobe Acrobat X Pro. For some reason, sometimes when i am printing pdfs, they will come out looking different from what is on screen. It looks as though it is compressing the pdf to a smaller size, although the images and fonts are the same size. It's basically changing the spacing on the paper. One of the documents is a fill in form for customers so it looks very strange that all the lines are spaced differently when the document is set up properly. The other weird thing is that it doesn't do it every time. It's hit or miss. Printing from the same HP LaserJet Pro 500 and haven't touched a single setting on the printer or in Acrobat. Any ideas?

I don't think it's page scaling. Here's the settings below. It's not scaling it down proportionally. The document has about 1.5 inches of space at the bottom
and when printed sometimes there is 3 inches of space and it isn't all of the line spacing that is decreased, only some of them. That's the strage part. It doesn'ty alter the size of the whole document, just random parts of it. I will probably switch the auto portrait/landscape option, but that shouldn't affect this.

My adobe acrobat 9 pro is not responding

I have had Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro installed for 3 years now. Then I got a message that I had to uninstall and reinstall which I did. However, Adobe is not responding when I try to move around a PDF or try to print a page. Any ideas? Does my purchase of Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro expire? @

Adobe Acrobat XI Pro reinstall difficulties

I have been trying to reinstall my Adobe Acrobat XI Pro DVD for 2 hours now and I am repeatedly getting the same response ' that I have an invalid Serial Number. This is the same DVD that I installed on my computer last year with the same difficulties that I am having now. Do you want consumers to avoid purchasing your products in the future?

The problem is not solved. This is what i have tried.
Attempt 1.
Log-in as Administrator via "CRTL-ALT-DEL" twice at the Welcome window.
"Repair" Adobe Acrobat XI Pro installation.
Same failure as described earlier.
Attempt 2.
Log-in as Administrator via "CRTL-ALT-DEL" twice at the Welcome window.
Uninstall Acro XI Pro.
Run : acrobat_ittools_cleaner_p1_040612.zip
Log of "cleaner" shows deletion of very many, but ot all, Registry Acro-associated keys.
At end of uninstall and cleaner processes, re-start machine.
Log-in again as Administrator via "CRTL-ALT-DEL" twice at the Welcome window.
Disable Norton 360 and Webroot Secure Anywhere prior to Acro XI Pro installation.
Re-install Acro XI Pro (this time, for "Default" choice, as opposed to "Complete" in previous installs.)
Outcome: NO Adobe PDF printer. HOWEVER, both during the "Repair" and re-install processes, a message did flash: "Creating the Adobe PDF Printer".
Both Repair and re-install: The Adobe PDF printer is not listed under "Manufacturer" when "Add Printer" is executed (see image below).
Proceeding via "Have Disk", C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Acrobat\Xtras\AdobePDF\AdobePDF.inf, yields the failure to install the driver previously described, for all ten (10) instance of the Adobe PDF Converter options.

Adobe Acrobat X Pro & Office 2010 problem

So.
We have a machine with Windows 7, Office 2010 Home and Business and Adobe Acrobat X Pro
Earlier everthing was ok, but now we have a small problem.
The PDFMaker don't work with Word. The Add-on is disabled and when I try to enable nothing happends. In Excel and PowerPoint it works.
I've tried to repair Adobe. Tried to uninstall the PDFMaker part and reinstall. Tried to repair Office. Also restarted the computer. No difference.
Still working in Excel and PowerPoint, but in Word the PDFMaker isn't available.
What can I try now?
And of course, we use it mostly with Word.

You can try deleting the entry for PDFMaker in the disabled items @ “HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Word\Resiliency\DisabledItems". The entry corresponding to the PDFMaker can be checked via double-clicking the individual list items under “Disabled Items” hive and checking for the string that reflects the location of PDFMaker COM-Add-In, say “C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\PDFMaker\Office\PDFMOfficeAddin.dll”.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro adding a blank page on conversion from Word 2010

Hi, I'm hoping someone here can help. I'm converting a Word 2010 document to PDF using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro (version 9.5.4). On conversion to PDF, a blank page is being added, throwing the entire report off. In word, there is a Section Break (Next Page) at the end of the first page, and the text continues on the second. On conversion, it is after this section break that the blank page apears (i.e., between pages 1 and 2 of the document). I've been back and forth through the document, tried to use a Continuous Section Break instead (Word just converts it to a page break again), making sure there's only one break, etc., and cannot for the life of me figure out how to fix this problem. Any ideas?

I have evaluated Adobe Acrobat X pro for adding handwritting comments on my university pdf documents.
I normally use Office One Note 2010 to take quite good notes but the official college documents are .pdf format., so
it is very useful to be able to take notes over those .pdf.
The main problem is that the Adobe handwritting tool doesn´t work very well: it is a bit slow from moving your tablet-pen to
the line on the document; if you try to write to different lines together, Adobe understands that you want to select the first one (try to
write 90º line with to lines).
It would be great if Adobe gives Acrobat possibilities similar to Office One Note, even to develop a new solution to take notes .pdf format.
