I've seen this before and attribute it to bad scripting of the Flash in the web page. (I guess)...

  • Problems loading Adobe Flash SWF file

    Our users are experienceing problems loading Adobe Flash SWF
    files.
    One example of a problem file is:
    http://www.adobe.com/enterprise/accessibility/popup_acr8_accessibility.html
    User traffic is flowing through a Cisco ASA firewall - these
    problems do not seem to occur from home networks or a Netscreen
    firewall. The Cisco ASA does NOT have http deep packet inspection
    turned on, and any traffic initiated by clients inside the firewall
    should be allowed. The symptom is that Internet Explorer will begin
    to download the video, but will hang at some point along the way
    (for this particular URL it hangs at about 7%). No error messages
    are displayed, but the video never displays on the screen either. I
    would appreciate hearing from anyone who may have run into this
    before, or if someone can explain what is different about this type
    of file from regular Adobe Flash, that might help figure out what
    the ASA is objecting to. The ASA does not appear to generate any
    log messages about denying this type of traffic either.
    Thanks in advance for any help you can provide...

    Thanks, but I use publish/export settings with GPU hardware acceleration and flash version 11.2 (and 11.8) but nothing happening.
    And why gif file is not all transparenty then I insert on lightblue background? It can't export good quality? Also I use Photoshop, After Effects, Adobe Edge Animate. And nothing happening. Egde animate file .oam is not good for old website navigation. It can't be inserted in freeshop site from navigation... I use logo file .oam just for example here - http://e-shoptagras.graphicsrim.eu
    In reality I want swf file, but we don't find why logo flickering? here http://tagraseshop.graphicsrim.eu
    All file's are transparenty - https://mega.co.nz/#!f8B2CD5R!J8uCJt9Sdq4Suz4HLhTHz8bzJcSWXMBIKcKZgkD3z8c
    I need help! Please!

You can't change size dynamically as it is defined by the
object embed tags.
You could use WMODE transparency which could help you fake it
tho not always best
solution to go with WMODE. It's a very buggy parameter.
WMODE will remove the background color so the flash movie
appear over the html and you
can see the HTML content trough the movie.
You could define some solid shape for the background on
bottom layer to make it look
like SWF background, than change it with the other loaded
movie making it appear as it
changed size while the over all flash size stats the same. As
said above - faking it.

  • Flash swf loading very slowly on website

    Have a look at this:
    http://www.tsocommunication.ca/test/...x/index_en.php
    and then this:
    http://www.biotonix.com/beta/index_en.php
    notice how it doesn't take any time to load on first URL, but on the second URL, it takes A LOT of time for the flash swf (header) to appear. Even when you change pages, it doesn't seem to get cached. What could be the cause of this?

    On both Safari 4.0.3 and Firefox 3.0.13, I am getting regular messages saying: A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 10 to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive".

  • Flash swf loading flashbuilder swf

    is there a trick for having a Flash CS4 website swf be able to load a flashbuilder4 generated swf?
    doesn't show up.
    i remember an issue from Flex3 concerning it locking up the gui unless you had a flex3 canvas or whatnot loaded prior.
    fb swf can load by itself fine via its html, and flash swf can load other flash swf's, but i can't get the flash swf to load the fb4 swf.
    thx

    If you have used fl.. classes in the CS4 swf it might prevent the Flex SWF
    from loading, but usually you get errors.

  • My adobe Flash wont load after installing the upgrade to firefox 6..how can i get it to work?

    i play the facebook games and i need to have adobe flash for it to work and when i upgraded the firefox to 6 the adobe doesnt download..i ve tried it many times and it wont download..

    Symantec need to update their Firefox add-ons so that they are compatible with Firefox 4. They have indicated that for Norton 360 they plan to release an update to Norton 360 to support Firefox 4 in early May - http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20100720113635EN&ln=en_US
    I do not know about the time scale for updates for other Norton products. Pending the update by Symantec, if you want to use the Norton add-ons you will need to downgrade to Firefox 3.6.
    To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
    You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
    To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.
    For details of how to find your profile folder see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles

  • Flash component loads slowly or renders slowly

    Hi,
    Does anyone have a problem with flash 8 components loading
    very slowly. I have a mainmovie page that loads other .swf files
    into a movieclip. The sub movie has got flash 8 components,
    basically, 4 buttons, 4 datefields, one combo box, one menu bar and
    one datagrid. When i load the sub movie into the mainmovie, the
    components flashes for a second and then shows the components. I
    use a moviecliploader as well to hide the loaded movie and only
    after it's loaded then show the loaded movie, still the components
    flash.
    Any ideas as i have been trying to solve this for about 5
    hours now. Any help much appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi clbeech,
    Thanks for replying. Nope, i am not using
    getNextHighestDepth() anywhere in my classes or on the timeline.
    What i have done is use an empty movieclip, named it dropzone, and
    when a menu item is clicked, an external movie loads into that
    movieclip. The external movie is loaded using the moviecliploader
    class.
    Here's the code from the class that might possibly help...
    //The helpful Delegate for UI component event listeners
    import mx.utils.Delegate;
    class loadCenterApps extends MovieClip
    public var menubarObject : Object;
    private var mclListener : Object;

    public var root : MovieClip

    public function loadCenterApps (root : MovieClip)
    this.root = root;
    mclListener = new Object ();
    imageLoader = new MovieClipLoader ();
    mclListener.onLoadProgress = Delegate.create (this,
    this.onMclListenerProgress);
    mclListener.onLoadInit = Delegate.create (this,
    this.onMclListenerInit);
    imageLoader.addListener (mclListener);
    init (root.my_mb);
    private function init (menubarObject)

    menu.addMenuItem (
    label : "Add, Delete and Change Password", data :
    "addUser.swf"
    root.my_mb.addEventListener ('change', Delegate.create
    (this, menuListener));
    public function menuListener (evt_obj : Object)
    destroy ();
    var someRandom = getTimer () + random (1000000000);
    //var toLoadClip = evt_obj.menuItem.attributes.data + "?=" +
    someRandom;
    var toLoadClip = evt_obj.menuItem.attributes.data;
    imageLoader.loadClip (toLoadClip, root.dropzone);
    public function onMclListenerProgress (target : MovieClip,
    bytesLoaded : Number, bytesTotal : Number) : Void
    if(bytesLoaded >= bytesTotal) {
    target._visible = true;
    else root.dropzone._visible = false;

  • Closing swf loaded into movie clip

    I have built a movie clip on my main flash file that I am loading separate swfs into. On the separate swfs I have a close button, but do not know what action script to attach to it to make the movie clip go away? I want these to go away every time you hit the close button on the separate Flash swfs loading into the main movie clip.

    if the target movieclip has a non-negative depth and the close button is encoded on the loaded swf's main timeline, you can use:
    var tl:MovieClip=this;
    path.closeBtn.onRelease=function(){
    tl.removeMovieClip();

  • HT5271 Downloaded latest Apple updates that informed me old versions of Adobe Flash Player were disabled and advised me to go to Adobe and down load latest version of Flash Player. Did that, but Flash Player won't play swf files, which it did before.

    Downloaded latest Safari update that informed me that older versions of Adobe Flash Player were being disabled and then advised me to go to Adobe and down load latest version of Flash Player. Did that, but Flash Player won't play swf files, which it did before. (Instead of opening, it comes up as a page of code).

    Hi..
    Quit Safari.
    Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.
    Click:  Delete All
    Now select the Storage tab.
    Click Delete All
    Relaunch Safari to test.

  • Running Slowly Error, Adobe Flash Player 10

    Howdy,
    Does anyone know why I would get this error?
    <strong>“A  script  in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 10 to run slowly.  If it  continues to run your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want  to  abort the script?”.</strong>
    I am trying to load an interactive timeline (.swf file) into Cap4, but receive the above error.
    I have an  original .swf file, and I am able to see it in a preview. I open Cap4   and go to Insert the .swf file as an Animation.When I choose the .swf   file the little Preview box on the rt. of the Open window previews it   correctly with all its functionality. It even plays the audio that  comes  with it.
    BUT,  when I click  Open then Ok to load the file I get the following error.
    “A  script  in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 10 to run slowly.  If it  continues to run your computer may become unresponsive. Do yo want  to  abort the script?”.
    Can anyone suggest what the  problem might be? How do I  make Adobe Flash Player run faster when  loading in the .swf? Any way to  tell which script is causing it to run  slowly? Is it a file size  issue? The .swf is 1000 x 600 and I sized Cap4  at 1024 x 768.
    I would be  willing to send the .swf  file to anyone so they can try in their Cap4.  (can I make attachments in  this thread?)
    Thank you so much for any help you   can give!!!
    Keith

    Hi kave, I just did a quick search:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15512.html
    You may want to start a thread in the Forum that involves the Adobe Program that you are using. I doubt that Flash Player is the "cause", rather an effect to what you are experiencing. Just my opinion.
    Thanks,

  • How can I import a .swf file in Adobe Flash CS4?

    Hi,
    How can I import a .swf file in Adobe Flash CS4?
    Thanks.

    you can use file/import but that would be a mistake.
    you should "load" your swf, not import it.
    if you want to load it and need help, are you using as2 or as3?
