Adobe Form Redirect in DreamWeaver

I have a link on our page that goes to an Adobe Form. The
general public then fills in the form, hits the submt button, the
email box comes up and the form is sent.... What I need to find out
is there a way to send the person back a reply telling them if they
haven't heard back withint 48 hours to please call the
office?

Please do confirm if you are using version 12.1. It may be easier to add your animations into Dreamweaver if you can use the option under Insert > Media.
You can certainly add your animations to your page directly in the code, but it requires just a little bit of work in the code to make it work.
Essentially, you just need to make sure each animation is given a unique CSS ID. (i.e. instead of them all being "Stage")

Adobe Form built in designer to redirect to FTP Server

Hello:
I had created a Adobe form connected to a MIcrosoft Database which will provide data connections and import data into the access database. As the information in the PDF form is used to populate a application, I would like to have the form when submitted send a XML file with only the specific data they need to the FTP server. Has anyone experienced this? or know of a possible solution?

Assuming you are on webforms >= 9i you could create an aliasmatch and use web.show_document with a relativepath to show your HTML file.

Error when connecting Adobe Form with PayPal

We are trying to integrate an Adobe Form into a PayPal purchase so that after a customer has purchased something, they are directed to a form to enter some personlization information. However, it seems that the link is getting changed in the process as you get this message when you click on the redirect link: an error has occurred.
The form does not exist. Please re-enter the web address as the link may be misspelled.

It works fine when used alone but we really need it to work in combination with the PayPal. It is for the purchase of pawprint ornaments and can be found at http://www.humanesocietyofmarlboro.org/

Where is it that you have a re-direct link to the form from that Paypal purchase process? I would double check that you copy/paste the entire link properly and look at the re-direct to make sure it is going to the entire URL and not modifying it or stripping part of it.

Some brainiac at Adobe thought, why don't we change the whole freaking interface around so nobody can figure out where anything is anymore with the new version....&^$@^#$^^

Table Overflow - Page Break - Multiple tables in Body page in Adobe forms

Hi,
I have to do a payslip in Adobe forms. I am using only Adobe for print forms.
Please redirect me to correct category if this is wrong category.
I am customizing standard form PYXXFO_SAP_PAYSLIP_IN01. (payslip for india through hrforms)
The standard form is entirely positional. So, if the contents of the table overflow, they are overwritten on the contents below.
So, I have to make corrections to adjust the payslip for table overflows.
My changes:
1. There are total 8 tables in form. I created content areas for each of them and assigned the subforms/tables to those content areas.
2. I converted the body page from positional to flowed, and applied the related pagebreak settings.
The problem I am facing:
When the earnings table overflows, the rest of the content is displayed on second page, in a continuous manner.
eg.
The structure of the form is:
Header details
earnings table   deductions table   form16 table
Other tables
leave details
now, if the earnings table overflows -
page 1:
Header details
earnings table (page break)
Page2:
(continued)earnings table
page3:
(continued)earnings table   deductions table   form16 table
Other tables
leave details
In this, the deduction table and form16 table is shown on 3rd page. I wish to show them on the first page as they have not overflown.
I am sure, I am missing something very small, but I am unable to understand what.
I tried all the possible combinations.
Does the main subform needs to be "positional"?
They way I expect it is:
page 1:
Header details
earnings table (page break)    deductions table   form16 table
Other tables
leave details
Page2:
{Header details - It would be great if I could have this}
(continued)earnings table
page3:
{Header details}
(continued)earnings table
Also, If this is successful, I would like to apply the same feature to rest 6-7 tables.

The solution for this thread is as follows:
I was sort of hoping that there should be some standard functionality available for this, it being Adobe, but there is not.
So, I had to run a work around. Quite a lengthy one.
What the problem was:
I needed to print around 4-5 tables adjacent to each other in single page and in verticals. What Adobe does is: it fills 1st table, then 2nd then 3rd and so on. So, if there is a page break due to large entries in the adobe, the contents breaks with rest of the tables being blank, but the content being filled sequentially.
What I did was:
I created a grand table with the structure having all the tables embedded in it. eg.
data: begin of grand_table occrs 0,
table_A type table_a_table_type,
table_B type table_b_table_type,
table_c type table_c_table_type,
end of grand_table.
Hence, I could include all the data in a one single grand table, and put the data in sequential manner.

Dimensions of Adobe Form element - dynamic?

I have a Java WebDynpro Application that contains a ViewSet, with an adobe form in one of the cells. I would like to have the entire Adobe application frame(including the page number at the bottom) dynamically fit within the real-estate available on a given PC, but I am having issues accomplishing this.
It seems that when defining the form element, it forces you to specify an exact vertical height of the form, say 700px, instead of allowing you to enter 100%, which to me would indicate that it should fill the available vertical space in the grid. When I enter 100% it shows only ~ 1 inch of my form. I can enter a fixed height, but the form displayed may be either too big (a 2nd scroll bar is provided by the WebDynpro in addition to the Adobe scroll bar) or too small (lots of unused space on the screen) for a given pc.
Are there any tricks for configuring the form to have the height adjusted to the PC screen real estate dynamically? Is this a limitation within the View Set of the WebDynpro?

What we did is calculate the height and width based on the resolution of the client screen. Instead of directly accessing the Web Dynpro application via an iView, we merely access a portal application that redirects to the Web Dynpro iView. The portal application passes the screen resolution, obtained by some javascript (<i>screen.height</i> and <i>screen.width</i>), to the Web Dynpro application as URL parameters. Based on that information, the Web Dynpro application can calculate the optimal height of the form. It's far from perfect, but since we open the Web Dynpro application in a new, maximized, screen, it works reasonably well (although the tabs in IE7 do cause some trouble).

Adobe Form Email Issue

I have created an Adobe form that has 4 Submit buttons:

(each button is different, of course)
Anyways, when you click on any of the buttons, a box appears to Select Email Client:
Option 1: Desktop Email Application (Choose this option if you currently use an email application such as Microsoft Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, Eudora, or Mail.)
Option 2: Internet Email (Choose this option if you currently use an Internet email service such as Yahoo or Microsoft Hotmail. You will then need to save your form and return it manually to [email protected] using your Internet email service.)
I work for a company who utilizes Microsoft Outlook, so I choose Option 1 and click OK and nothing happens. I have used this type of button and form before and the button worked properly - opened a new message in Outlook with the To field and the subject field prepopulated with the information set during design of the form and the form attached as a PDF.
Any suggestions on what I could do next or try to correct this issue because I am not the only one having this problem and the whole company I work for uses this form and it needs to be fixed soon!?!?

This has very little to do with Acrobat and very much to do with how email is activated
This is discussed OFTEN over on the Dreamweaver forum, where people make an HTML form with an email submit button... and are not happy when anyone who does not use the right kind of email program is not able to use the form... such as any of the "free" email clients like Yahoo
The usual solution over there (I don't have details, the only user submission form I work with is in a controlled company environment, where everyone MUST use the approved email client) is to set up a server based solution with your own software on the server, so clicking the submit button activates YOUR software, not whatever is on the user's computer

Where can I get the Adobe AIR extension for Dreamweaver CS5.5 ??

I have been looking for the past couple of weeks. Some dweeb at adobe decided to redirect all URLs that had "air" in them to the stupid dev site that of course has no information on it about dreamweaver (except to buy it). It would be logical to put something big on the right side that says "if you got here to download the adobe air extension for dreamweaver it has been moved to here..... I guess nobody is monitoring the thousands of redirects from the air/tools/ajax and might say.. hey I should fix that.....

I am an avid user of Adobe Forms Central, and also the Adobe Creative Cloud software... But haven't fully explored the Creative Cloud suite beyond what I use daily (dreamweaver, fireworks, etc.) I was wondering if there was an alternative within the software I already have that would replace forms central.

Paypal and Adobe form central Issue

I hooked up my paypal to the adobe form it's working great, but I can't integrate paypal to stay on my site when completing the transaction. I asked paypal tech support, and they told me "the folks at formcentral will know".. Any suggestions?

Once the user clicks Proceed to Checkout, the whole site gets redirected to PayPal to let the user make his payment there, and then when they are done, the browser will get redirected to FormsCentral and we will show the user the confirmation message. Actually redirecting the whole site to PayPal is recommended by PayPal since the users will have more confident that they are paying in the real PayPal site. If they see the payment is processed in an iframe, some people will suspect if the server behind that iframe is really PayPal, since they cannot see the iframe URL in the browser's URL field.
I am sorry that so far we haven't done a really good job to redirect the user back to your own web site after the payment is done. I will send a feature request to our Product Manager for this, but before we can have it implemented, what you can do is to edit your forms confirmation message in Options->Confirmation Message to tell the user how to get back to your web site. I understand it looks awkward, and I apologize for that, but we are trying hard to improve our payment experience.

Error when starting Adobe Form

I have an Adobe Form which works Ok in the development SAP Portal, but that, when I log in the production portal gives the following error:
Error when reinitializing the form (I guess, it's Error al reinicializar el formulario, in Spanish)
I think maybe there is something missing to transport, or some misconfiguration, but I haven't been able so far to find it...
Can someone give me a hand?

How many people can use Adobe Forms per license/how many computers can we download software to?

Adobe FormsCentral is a web-based app so there is nothing to download - you access from the web browser.
Each users who creates forms needs a license of FormsCentral. In a month or so you'll be able to by a team pack (5,10,25) at reduces prices for a larger group who wants to create forms.

Hi,
Yes the field page n of m is used normally for printing page numbers. But it won't display the current page of total pages by itself. You have to set the run time property to n (current page ) and m (Total number of pages). Carefully select the # (current page ) and ## (Total number of pages). Hope this works for you.
My requirement is to have the user control on current page. For Example:
Example for a Invoice with 5 PO items (stands on 2 pages) :
1st page is the letter : no page number
2nd page is the 1st page of the 1st copy of the invoice : we should read u201C1 / 2u201D
3rd page is the 2nd page of the 1st copy of the invoice : we should read u201C2 / 2u201D
4th page is the 1st page of the 2nd copy of the invoice : we should read u201C1 / 2u201D
5th page is the 2nd page of the 2nd copy of the invoice : we should read u201C2 / 2u201D
Presently i cam getting the current page number for page 4th as 3 / 2 and for 5th page 4 / 2. I could able to control the total number of pages from print program. But when i am printing the second copy (4th and 5th pages), I couldn't able to control the current page number. I need to initialize the Current page count (4th page ) as 1.
I have used the follwing java scripting:
this.rawValue = wv_pages - xfa.layout.page(this)
where wv_pages is total no of pages calculated from print program.
Please help me in this regard with some formcal or java scripting conditions.

Webdynpro Exception:The ADS call has failed.you can find information about the
cause in the error.pdf on the application server.
why this error coming? even when i execute a standard application also i am getting this.why?

I refered the link provided by you for testing the ADS configuration and it displayed a 2 page report.
Is that mean that there is a problem in my form?

Creation of UI elements on click of a button in ADOBE form

Hello Experts,
I have a requirement which is ,
on the ADOBE form after pressing some action Button i need to create a row of UI elements like Textbox label and Radio button with the values coming from Backend WDA application.
Number of rows created are equivalent to number of times button is clicked.
Also in some cases i have to preload the rows with the existing data.
Please let me know if this requirement can be accomplished in ADOBE form.
Any inputs ,Suggestion and help will be very helpful.

I resolved this by creating elemnts in WD context on click of a button in ADOBE form,And in form i used the WD context structure as a table with required cell editors.
PDF form should be of type dynamic in this case.
