Adobe interactive form with ABAP workbench

Hi Experts,
Need to know, can we run Online Adobe interactive form using ABAP ( Not webdynpro ABAP or Java) workbench? If so how? and if possible please provide the driver program which run the form & after filling it, it updates SAP data online.

That is possible by using FLM tool. You need to buy it separately. Its an ARCH product. Or if its HR forms then you can use HCM proceess & forms.

Search Help on Adobe Interactive Form with Web Dynpro ABAP

Hi All,
I have created Adobe Interactive Form with ZCI type and XML based interface type using Webdynpro ABAP.
I placed a text field USER_NAME on the form ( data element is linked to search help USER_COMP ).
Added Native WD UI element 'Value Help' to form to search for users and changed script
*var fieldName = "INSERT_NAME_HERE*"; to var fieldName = "USER_NAME";
The problem is that when I click on the value help button, nothing happens.
Is any more additional steps required ?

Interactive Form with ABAP DDIC Interface

Hi,
I'm new on adobe interactive forms and I have some problems. I have a form with a abap dictionary based interface.
When I test my web dynpro application with the interactive form, it is not interactive. :-P
And yes the property "enabled" of the UI-Element is marked.
First I watched an e-Learning an build a web dynpro application with a from which has a interface based on xml.
I generated the inteface of the form from my context. It works fine.
But with a interface based on xml I dont't know how I can get a table on my PDF in the Adobe Lifecycle Designer.
So I searched snd n the forum and found a tutorial (InteractiveForm_and_Dynamic_Tables). Like in this tutorial I created a interface based on ABAP Dictionary and a form with a table. Then I choose this form on my UI-Element as templateSource and generate the context from the interface. But as i mentioned above, now the PDF isn't interactive.
Any idea?

You can create Interactive form with ABAP dictionay based interface. You need to add following code in method "WDDOMODIFYVIEW" of your view.
DATA: LR_INTERACTIVE_FORM TYPE REF TO CL_WD_INTERACTIVE_FORM,
LR_METHOD_HANDLER TYPE REF TO IF_WD_IACTIVE_FORM_METHOD_HNDL.
CHECK FIRST_TIME = ABAP_TRUE.
LR_INTERACTIVE_FORM ?= VIEW->GET_ELEMENT( 'TEST' ).
LR_METHOD_HANDLER ?= LR_INTERACTIVE_FORM->_METHOD_HANDLER.
LR_METHOD_HANDLER->SET_LEGACY_EDITING_ENABLED( ABAP_TRUE ).

How to use Adobe Interactive forms with ISR frame work in Webdynpro forJava

Hi,
Anybody worked on Adobe Interactive forms with ISR frame work in Webdynpro for Java in ESS/MSS development.
We have already searched in ISR_Cookbook_2004, however we didn't anything related webdynpro for java in that.
Any information regarding this will be of great help.

There are a number of issues here. A form that you created with LiveCycle Designer (XFA) cannot be used with FormsCentral. An Acroform, the kind you can create with Acrobat, can be used with FormsCentral, with certain limitations, one of which is skip logic. A dynamic XFA form allows for this type of thing, but as mentioned, they don't work with FormsCentral. You can set up an Acroform to show/hide or activate/inactivate fields based on selections or entries made in other fields, but you'd have to set this up in Acrobat, not FormsCentral. So you can set up something roughly equivalent to a web form's skip logic, but you'd have to learn how to do this in Acrobat using JavaScript. There is a separate Acrobat JavaScript forum here if you have any questions.

Adobe Interactive Forms with Browser Apple Safari and Mozilla Firefox

Hi Experts,
We have a requirement to implement HCM P&F using Adobe Interactive Forms. These Adobe Forms will be accessed using Browser Apple Safari and Mozilla Firefox. I have come across that the Adobe Interactive Forms are not supported on these browsers. In the same regard I have also gone through the Product Availability Matrix by SAP which specifies that Forms are not support on these browser and neither SAP has future plans to support them.

I would like to know from experts that if any of the project has successfully implemented Adobe Interactive Forms with browser Apple Safari and Mozilla Firefox or

Hello,
Mozilla Firefox is supported for Adobe Interactive Forms on Windows operation system.
Unfortunatelly we do not have support for Mac OS and Safari browser.
Please re-check the PAM.

F4 Value Help on Adobe Interactive Form with Web Dynpro ABAP

Hello,
I have created an Interactive Form with ZCI type.
I placed a text field MATNR on the form.
Then I placed a Native WD UI element 'Value Help' as mentioned in the below link: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/42/fb2fe500553ee4e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm
This form was then embeded into Web Dynpro ABAP view.
The problem is that when I click on the F4 button, nothing happens.
Is anything else needs to be done?

Hi Amol,
After binding the Context variable in the view, and in the Adobe Layout Designer from the Library go to WebDynpro Native Tab and drag and drop the Value Help and for this automatically JavaScript is being generated, go that script and edit the line
Var fieldname = "yourfieldname";
Note: Don't forget to link the context attribute to search help. ie. in the context properties of the attributes select the input help mode as dictionary search help and specify the name of the search help present in data dictionary.
And now go to Utilities and click on u201CInsert Web Dynpro Scriptu201D.
Also make sure that you specify the Layout as ZCI Layout in the Propertioes of the Adobe Form.

Interactive form using ABAP workbench

Hi All,
I have develped Print forms using ABAP workbench using SFP transaction.
I am really confused with the terms Print forms and Interactive forms..
Actually I was able to make my Print form which I have created using SFP transaction, Interactive by giving the appropriate form parameter(fillable).
But I have read some SDN article in which it says that Interactive forms can only be created in Webdynpro environment.. (Either ABAP webdynpro or Java Webdynpro)..
In the design time how we will know that the form is interactive or not?
Please let me know ur thoughts on this..

At Design Time, we design a form using the Adobe Designer tool, which allows to to create forms with input fields etc, which can be filled by the user, if the runtime supports it.
When you design a form via transaction SFP,y ou are essentially designing the form and adding the elements, but, whether the form would be interective or not would be defined by the run time environment.
If you add an input field to the form, and execute it via an ABAP report, then the form would not be inteactive but, if you use the same form in WebDynpro, then the form could be interactive.
Designing the form via SFP or via the WebDynpro Interactive form element, both, inherently call the Adobe Designer, but executing the form via WebDynpro Environment would supoprt its interactove nature whereas via an ABAP report, it would not, although the tool allowed you to add the UI element.

Migrating PCR frontend-JSP forms to Adobe interactive forms-WD Abap Comp

We are currently on Netweaver 7.0 & ECC 6.0 and ESS - MSS Business Package 50.4. We are using JSP Forms on portal front for Personnel Change Requests (PCR's ) where in all the scenarios in the backend are heavily customized with good amount of usage of Javascripts. For certain scenarios, where in a huge amount of information is fetched from ECC 6.0 backend system, JSP are performing really bad and the total time taken to display the form is actually causing a lot of irritation to the end user.
We are planning to propose an upgrade to SAP adobe interactive forms. The prerequisite is that the business wants to reuse all the customized scenarios without any changes and just want to move towards better front end forms.
My questions are:
1. Please list benefits of SAP Adobe interactive forms - ABAP component over JSP forms (performance wise)
2. Issues with SAP Adobe Interactive forms?
3. Since Javascripts do not work in Webdynpro ABAP. How can we implement those front end checks and validations.
3. Any other options available for UI that can be suggested?
All suggestions are welcome. Quick response is appreciated.

Is your performance issue with the Javascript with JSP pages? or the Java script you are using within the Adobe form in your WDJ custom application using Adobe form? I have worked on PCR's using ISR framework old school it used to call as PCR and now HCM Processes and form, Developed PCR's using WDJ also integrated workflow with the WDJ PCR for approval(we never had any performance issue) infact ISR frame work was kind of slow compare to custom WDJ solution and less flexible for a developer to develop.
I have also worked created WDA custom application for PCR's , WDA is definitely better when you compare it with WDJ but I have not seen much performance issue with WDJ atleast on custom PCR solutions.
I don't have any case study to share with you, can you please tell what kind of PCR's your client is using and what kind of performance issue you are experiencing and where and why you guys are using Javascript.

Multi language support for Adobe interactive form in ABAP WD

Hi ,
I translated the adobe form in multi language in SE63, If i execute the form with passing LANGU(language) parameter, form supports for multi language.
I created XML schema based interface and if a execute interactive form in ABAP Webdynpro, i am unable to pass launguage(LANGU) parameter. because InteractiveForm element property does not have language key parameter.
Apart from creating different language dependent forms, is there any alternate way we can pass the LANGU key parameter to Interactive Adobe form???

As far as i know when you use Adobe forms in a WD4A application, language is your "web" connection language.
You can have a look at standard class CL_WD_ADOBE_SERVICE, it's used when generating an adobe forms from WD4A. , more particulary look at method DETERMINE_DOCPARAMS.

How to display Adobe Interactive Form from ABAP (not WDABAP)

I have created a WD ABAP application that creates an Adobe Interactive Form (ZCI) and submits it for workflow. All of the data on the form is saved in custom itables in the SAP System. The end-users are supposed to save a copy of the form at the last step in the workflow before they "Acknowledge" the task in UWL. Once the acknowledge takes place, they can no longer display the form in UWL. They want an ABAP program that will read the data from the various custom tables and display a "print" version of the form (not interactive).
I am calling FM 'FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME' to get the function module for the form. I then call FM 'FP_JOB_OPEN' with the parameter IE_OUTPUTPARAMS-REQNEW set to ABAP_TRUE. The call to the form FM has the following EXPORTING parameters:
    EXPORTING
    /1BCDWB/DOCPARAMS   =
      /1BCDWB/DOCXML         =
I understand the /1BCDWB/DOCPARAMS but have no idea what needs to be done to for the /1BCDWB/DOCXML parameter. Can anyone offer any advice or assistance?

this is really simple - the reason you have that /1BCDWB/DOCXML is because you defined your form interface to have an XML based interface.
While this is great for ABAP Web Dynpro, because the XML is generated for you, this is NOT the case with regular ABAP.
You should choose ABAP Data Dictionary-Based Interface. You will then be able to add tables, structures and fields to your interface.
For instance, here's code from a program where I call the form in regular ABAP
data: ls_worksheet TYPE Zxxx_structure.
* Fill the ls_worksheet structure here.
* Call the generated function module
CALL FUNCTION ls_function
    EXPORTING
      /1bcdwb/docparams = fp_docparams
      worksheet          = ls_worksheet
    IMPORTING
      /1bcdwb/formoutput = ls_form_output
    EXCEPTIONS
      usage_error        = 1
      system_error       = 2
      internal_error     = 3
      OTHERS             = 4.
Notice I do not have the /1BCDWB/DOCXML Exporting parameter.
Just change your interface to a Data Dictionary Based, and add the tables/structures/fields to it.
then, go to your calling program, fill them, and pass the data through the Exporting parameter.

Control not going from Adobe Interactive form to ABAP WD Event handler

Hi
I am facing an issue with adobe interactive forms and WD ABAP integration.
The buttons in adobe interactive form when clicked is going round and round and the control is not going to the ABAP code(WD ABAP event handler code whatsoever). I have also set the debugger but the control is not moving to the ABAP code from the adobe interactive form.
Can anyone help me what can be the issue here and how can I resolve the same?

Hi Babi,
In the adobe form layout library Use the Submit(which internally means submit to SAP) button from the Webdynpro Native category.
Only this button action can connect adobe to web dynpro.
Whenever we click on this particular button the event will be trigger in the ONsubmit event of interactive form UI element in the webdynpro.There we can write our abap code.Hope this will help you.

Configuration of Adobe Interactive Forms with CE 7.2

Hello all,
We use ALD 8.1 in our ECC ABAP development system and we get the Adobe Interactive Forms services from our SOLMAN (java stack).
We would now like to use ALD 9 which can only be configuered with CE 7.2 (Note 1522483).
We could find the documentation for the configuration of Adobe Document Services in CE 7.2 in the following path:

But we could not find the configuation guide for the Interactive Forms part. Does anyone have this documentation?
