Adobe Phone Support Says Can't Activate My $632 CS on a Laptop

I purchased Adobe upgrade PS CS5 disks directly from Adobe. Successfully installed on Windows PC already running Elements 9 puchased in Oct 2011 and Photshop (purchased 2003).
For my second allowed instal, I tried to install on my laptop that does not have disk drive. So I downloaded the trial version of CS5 on the laptop and provided the product serial number to activate. Got popup that said " Product Serial number is valid but product cannot be activated because it must be an upgrade to one of the following products." The drop down menu listed only Elements products Element 4 thru Elements 8. There was no option to indicate that I was upgrading to CS5 from Elements 9.
I believe this is an Adobe problem -- they have not updated their drop down menu to show products more recent that Elements 8.
I phone Adobe telephone support and was told that it is not possible for me to activate my very expensive $600+ Adobe CS 5 software on my laptop. Is that really true??
If Adobe telephone support is correct, I plan to return the software for a refund. When I ordered it, the Adobe sales rep said I could install it on two computers -- he didn't mention that one of the computers could not be a laptop.

That's a wonderful question, ssmiley67. The iPhone 5s comes unlock for international use. Many of our LTE devices are unlocked for international purposes and work upon inserting the international SIM in the device.

The sign on screen (where the current time and the slide to unlock) and if I can get it to open, the next screen that show all the apps. Have been unable to get any further that that second screen. The screen contents appear to be about twice the size they should be. I have been able to "reset" the phone by turning it off, but the problem happening several times a day and now occasioanally the reset does not work. This just started happening about 3 days ago and is increasing in frequency. I have had this phone about 14 months.

I think you are referring to the changes switching from regular FTP to SSH connection which is now required.
Please review the article below covering this recent update and the changes needed to establish your connection via (DW or FTP client).

Upgraded computer hardware. Now says can't activate my software

Hello, I can't use my Adobe CS5.5, because the program says I have installed it on two computers. Which isn't true. I have recently upgraded my computer hardware and had to reinstall the operating system. How can I go about fixing this?

I have all my original software with original license key. I did read that, and like I said, for the interim I have downloaded from the link to try and get functional again until I can get this resolved. But again, I paid a LOT of money for the Premium suite, and the downloaded version skips out on quite a bit.
I have run into many problems with the software installation via those download files.
I get the dreaded "insert disk 2"...but it won't allow you to continue. I read on here about copying the one C:/create suite...what ever folder to the other one that is created.
Tried that and still same issue.
I cancel out of that, and I can use Photoshop. But illustrator dies saying "Could not complete requested Operation."
I have read that it could be font related. However, Have fewer fonts installed on this new build than I did before it crashed, and CS2 has worked FLAWLESSLY for me for years now.
I tried to use the original disks after just successfully installing PS. And it doesn't even like that.
I also tried to download the Illustrator only package from that site. Once installed, it gives me the same error.
I'm running Windows XP Professional and I own CS2 Premium version 9.0.
This validation server issue is like Taking my old Ford into the dealership for an overhaul. But because it's an old truck, I'm not allowed to have it back, but I'm allowed to have a permanent rental instead. Plus the radio is missing because Ford doesn't sell cars with Tape decks any longer. I GET that it's end of life software. But I bought it, I own it, and it works perfect for me.... I don't WANT to upgrade. ESPECIALLY to this new subscription base.

I lost my phone. How can I activate my old phone?

I just lost my phone 2 days ago. It was a Samsung Convoy. The last time I broke my phone and had to switch to my old Nokia it was very easy. For some reason this time I keep running into dead ends on the website and countless ads for the backup service. Basically I am just looking for the spot where I can type in the id number for the phone to have it activate but I cannot find it. I also dialed the *228 on my nokia and it said it was programming for a couple minutes then said programming failed. Any suggestions on what to do now would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Good afternoon and thank you all for your suggestions. wadata, I'm sorry to hear you lost your phone but I have provided the steps for you to be able to activate or switch devices directly on My Verizon.
From My Verizon go under I want to… Device and select Activate or Switch Device.
Select your mobile number and device and select Next.
Select Next again.
Read and Accept the Terms and Conditions.
In the following screen you will be prompted to add the New Device ID and then Submit.
