Adobe prefilled form using standalone java appl

Hi,
I have designed adobe form. The requirement is : the end user will open this adobe form offline using Java mobile application, but needs to be prefilled with some field values.
And there is no connectivity to SAP system/ server.
My question : Is there any way that we can prefill the offline adobe form when this java application is calling the adobe form.
Do we need ADS/ any kind of connectivity to any server?
Any info this, this would help me .
Thanks,
Saujanya

Hi,
The requirement is : the enduser will not have connectivity to SAP Server. But he uses his SAP mobile device, opens the locally stored adobe form, fills up the details and sends it to SAP.
I just want to know if ADS is required in this requirement, as i think this nt required,
But want to confirm.
Any pointers on this would really help me.
Thanks,
Saujanya

    Hi friends,
Can we call configurd webservice in xi , using standalone java application by just giving url of webservice ?
                  OR
Only by means of WEBDynapro we can call  ?
Can you please tell me the answer for this .

    HI Ranga Rajan
well, If at all if you have webservice...you can import that werbserivce as External definition in to IR.
    How to import:
    1) Go to IR and and move to your requied component and there you can see the option called imported objects...select on imported objects where you can give the name and you can select the webservices which you want to use it.
    2) Hope you are aware of that a werbservice will have the request and response.
    3) Create the mapping program accroding to your requirement.
Go through blogs of Bhavesh and Naveen which talks about calling webservice in a specific condition:
Webservice Calls From a User Defined Function - /people/bhavesh.kantilal/blog/2006/11/20/webservice-calls-from-a-user-defined-function

  • Printing  Adobe form using Webdynpro Java

    Hi All,
I have a requirement to integrate data coming from web services onto a adobe form on the Portal.
This form needs to be generated in the background and then automatically sent to the local printer attached to the pc.
The idea is that the user need not preview the form and then send it for printing.
Any suggestions on how this custom functionality could be achieved.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Regards
    Nidhideep Bhandari

"This form needs to be generated in the background and then automatically sent to the local printer attached to the pc.
The idea is that the user need not preview the form and then send it for printing." - not possible. I think what you intend to say is to call up the print option without the preview, correct?
"Send it for printing" is a bit confusing a statement.
I haven't personally tried this but what you can try to do is use JPS (Java Print Service).
Here's the link to the documentation: [JPS Documentation|http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/pdf/JPS_PDF.pdf]
And this for more info: [http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/desktop/printing/]
There you can indicate the file stream is a pdf file for printing.
    "application/pdf"
    Goodluck!

  • SUBMIT(to SAP) Button in Adobe Interactive Forms (Web Dynpro Java)

    Hi ,
I m using Adobe Interactive Forms with Web Dynpro Java
But submit to SAP button is not working
    i m using NWDS 7.2 with adobe lifecycledesigner 6.0
    with adobe reader 9.0
when i click submit to SAP button in interactive form nothing happens and
data is not transfered into web dynpro Context
    Can anybody help me out................

    Hi Adi,
The evniorment and versions you posted seems to be quite scattered, make sure all are of compatible and to the lates.
Anyways this was not the reason for your problem.
Can you tace if the button click event is triggered ....?
    1) when the PDF is published can you see any of the fields editable...? reason behind is generally when you create a form in ADLC it comes up in static PDF format if its so you need to make it dynamic.
I dont know if adding the webdynpro script to your form might fix.

  • ADOBE Interactive forms -ABAP or JAVA??

    Hi,
We are upgrading from 4.7E to ECC 6.0
What are the pros and cons of using ABAP & JAVA in ADOBE Interactive forms.
I know we can have both stacks in ECC 6.0 but when do we actuallly require JAVA and when ABAP?

    Hi,
ALC Desinger that gets embedded in SE80 for ABAP and Java(NWDS) Development Environment.

  • ZCI for Adobe Interactive Forms in WebDynpro Java

    Hello Virag Shinde,
ACF is supported with all the SPs across the Netweaver 7.0 stack and we will continue to support that except the fact that no further development will happen in that area. ZCI is the future of Interactive Forms solution by SAP.
Following two notes would be helpful to get started with ZCI:

  • Adobe Interactive Forms using Web AS ABAP Only

    Hi,
After setting up ADS, we want to publish an adobe interactive form to a website. We want this form to be truly interactive, meaning users can enter data through it with validations. My question is, is it possible to develop this form using ABAP only and deploy it in WEB AS ABAP? Or do we really need to use NWDS and WEB AS JAVA for this?
I saw somewhere that ABAP can only provide printforms (static?) while JAVA (in NWDS) can generate interactive forms.
    Please help.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Tyken

    Hi,
For this you must define the form's interface based on XML and not DDIC ...

  • Testing WebDynpro Adobe Interactive forms Using eCATT or any other testing

    Hi All,
We are testing WebDynpro Adobe forms (Java). is there any methodology to test Interactive forms not normal webdynpro applications. Especially Interactive form with UI fields like dropdwons, datepickers dropdown values are from BAPI/RFC's  in these forms we will perfom actions like send data to backend and display PO created in onther view.
once we repaly the test script all the drop down values are not updated this test scenario we tested with LR.
Is there any procedure to test this scenario using eCATT or any other testing Tool.
    Rehards,
    Murali

    Hi Vara,
You can develop Interactive forms using WD ABAP also.
[E Learning- Interactive Forms using WD ABAP|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/media/uuid/c766e918-0b01-0010-99b1-c2b78cd059b3]
WD Java is useful in case, when your ABAP system is less than ECC 6.0. Otherwise you can achieve same functionalities in WD ABAP also.
    Hope this will help you.

  • Create offline interactive forms using webdynpro java with XML data source

    Hi Gurus,
I am having a scenario like below:
Sales guy request for order list online from portal- Sytem receives the request and creat XML file- from xml file need to create a Offline interactive form-Sales guy fills it offline at customer site- uploads in portal -on submit xml has to be generated with captured data at customer site-Process to  ECC.
    So my questions are:
How to create the offline interactive form  from XML?
Once filled offline interactive form uploaded into portal how to create XML again from pdf ?
Please give some idea on this as this is my first Offline interactive form using XML datasource.
    Thanks

    Hi Otto,
Sorry for replying lately. First of all  I did not get your suggestions as your are editing the same posting.
Secondly we will be using WDJ. Actually in between SAP Portal and ECC we are having adobe LCES so we need to create Interactive form using XML only. Once it is filled again the form will be submitted to another application which is running on FLEX, which will process the order.
if you can give me your personal id i can send you the detailed process
    Thanks

  • Faxing adobe pdf forms using actions in CRM service process

    Hi experts,
Does anybody has experience in sending adobe PDF forms as a fax using actions in CRM service processes? Currently I use this by implementing a PPF BAdI, but what else configuration, software and hardware requirements I need to make faxing work in CRM?
Is it possible to use 3rd party software to send the fax for example winfax and transfer the fax number to this?
    Regards:
    Gabor

    Dear Dezso,
As far as I remember, we already know each other
Our company have been using winfax in the past for sending fax messages. Now that they will use SAP-CRM shall they buy a new fax server? I have looked after Topcall, it might be useful with RFC?
In CRM service order, I use the EXEC_METHODCALL_PPF BAdI implementation to collect the data from the service order, and then use the standard function modules to "print" or "fax" the PDF document (call function FM_NAME).
At this function module, which structure do I neet to enter the recipient's fax number (I read somewhere that I have to use DEVICE='TELEFAX' in the output_options - is it true?) ?
Or should I communicate from the BAdI with Business Communication Services (create recipient and similar methods)?
Is there any way to send the fax from the local machine where the user uses the SAP GUI?
Thank you very much in advance for your help and support!
    Gabor
