Adobe premiere project wont load

Hello all, i have the latest imac and premiere cs6:
ive been working on a fairly large project and everything was going fine until i noticed that it started taking longer and longer to save. first the auto save went-nothing would happen so i would hit cancel which would bring up the pinwheel but at the time that would eventually go away. command-s still worked (or so i thought) until i tried to finish up for the day and save but the program ended up crashing. after this last time the project would not open at all.
since then ive tried everything i could find: deleting prefs, moving project contents, renaming folders, importing into a new project, auto save files, etc but nothing works. the load bar pops up and i get nothing-maybe a sliver of the bar at best. ive dealt with corrupted projects before but never this severe. im at a loss please help. thank you.

Problem importing adobe premiere project into After effects CS6

I've been working in Adobe's premiere and after effects for quite a few years now and this problem is new to me.
I'm working on a project in After Effects CS6 and want to import a premiere pro project into After Effects. I go -> File -> import -> adobe premiere project
Select project
Select sequence
Now After Effects CS6 imports all files from the premiere pro project like before in CS5, but now also imports the videofiles as sequences at the root in my project panel and messes everything up. Before it usually imported nice and tidy with the same folder structure as the premiere pro project would have.
But that isn't the main problem. When i open the sequence i wanted to import and work on, some clips have been shortened down to 1 FRAME LONG at the end. These clips have a 500% speed in premiere pro, but this has never been a problem before, after effects has always before been able to translate the speed variations in clips from premiere -> after effects.
The adobe premiere project that was imported is a 60 sec promo with various clips in various formats (Gopro h264, dv pal quicktime etc). Footage not exceeding the fair amount that after effects should handle. 15-20 videfiles at 30 sec each.
I've never had this problem before with premiere <-> after effects.
Anyone?

I just found the solution!
In my adobe premiere project that i was trying to import, some of the clips were "right clicked" and applied "Scale to frame size"
Every videoclip that had "scale to frame size" in my adobe premiere pro sequence would import as its own composition in After Effects rather than just a videofile, and some of the clips would be trimmed down to be invisible.
So if you have any problem with a clip not importing correctly into a sequence in after effects, check to make sure "scale to frame size" is not applied to the clip in premiere pro.
I removed the scale to frame size in the premiere project and now everything imports fine into after effects.

since updating to mavericks os i am unable to load or use adobe premiere elements 11 editor which i origanally purchased from the app store the program previously worked fine in mountain lion os.has anyone else experienced this problem.

no this didnt help when i first went to the app store i was told premiere elements wasn't available. at a later date i uninstalled premiere elements completely from my computer and went back to the app store and there it was .i down loaded it but it didnt solve the problem.sorry i can't be of more help

A problem when importing an Adobe Premiere project into AE

Hi
I've recently had to reinstall my entire hard drive (all my Adobe software is CS5)
After the reinstallation I created a new Premiere project, but when I tried to open it in AE as I always did (file-import-adobe premiere pro) it open an empty composition in AE.
The composition is the same length as my Premiere project, and same size, but it is empty, and non of the video files appear in the Project window.
I also tried to import a dynamic link - and I got the entire premiere edit, BUT it was all one layer, no cuts, and I can't work with that.
Does anyone know how to fix this? It's quite urgent!!!

Check your media cahce and its settings.
My disk cache is enabled, and the maximum disk cache size is 10GB
Other than that, can you be more specific, as to what I should look for there? And if it's a codec issue, is there any way to check which one?

How does one stop this from happening?

Adobe Premiere Pro wont play any video/audio

Hello! i recently got an Adobe creative cloud membership. and so i have been editing a video. no problems, no lag, nothing, its all been wonderful.
but i sent the video to SpeedGrade, then exported from there and had an audio sync issue, that i decided to fix by aligning the old video clips audio with the new graded versions video.
upon importing (old non graded and new greaded versions) the 8 minute files, and double clicking them to view them, they wouldn't play, even after a couple minutes.
and they wouldn't play in the timeline either.
so i tried many things, restarting, deleting my preference files, deleting and re-installing the application, using different video files + projects.
i even tried an old project that i had. no other applications are suffering from this problem. (like after effects or speedgrade, they are 100% fine)
i also tried different settings, including ones with the mercury playback engine. no luck
No other forum has helped.
i have a 21.5 inch Imac, with an intel i5 processor.
8 gig of RAM. a 500gb HD
and an AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB
i am running OS X 10.8.2

it was a video i was working on. i didnt export it to speedgrade though, i used dynamic link (send to speedgrade command) and sent the entire timeline to speedgrade.
i quite premiere because i didnt need it any more (at that point because i was using speed grade) then i exported out of speedgrade the graded clip and brought that into premiere. and now premiere wont play anything.
UPDATE: however when i scrub, it plays through the video but i dont hear audio (even though the setting for that is turned on).
and when i press the space bar (or the play/stop button) over and over after i scrubbed a little bit, it will jump back and forth, so obviously not a hard drive permission/read error.
and lastly, when i try to change the amount of zoom it has in the viewer (fit, 10$, 100%, 50% etc.) it crops the image and then the applications becomes unresponsive.

Adobe Premiere Elements 10 Loading problem

I have loaded Premiere elem 10 onto my laptop, it loaded without the activation code being requested, it failed to load a shortcut to the desktop and will not run. I have been onto the Adobe chat line, which was completely hopeless, no help what so ever.
Can anybody suggest a solution. I purchased the 5 CD box version of Photoshop Elements 10 & Premiere Elements 10....Photoshop loaded and runs ok. I have loaded the Win version of Premiere,

Adobe reader 11 wont load signed feature for a specific user on VDI

Hey all,
New to the forums so please if i mess something up let me know.
We Run xendesktop 5 for our vdi systems and we have one user, only one user, that when they load the adobe reader there sign document feature does not load what so ever, i have tried multiple test accounts that have same permission and it loads just fine, other users running same desktop the feature loads just fine. i am really baffuled as to why the feature will not load for this specific user. just a troubleshooting note, i had the user log into a physical machine with the same adobe reader version and the sign feature loaded for them just fine, its only in the vdi system where it will not load. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Adobe Premiere CS6 wont play my RWDVD

I had imported my RW-DVD and I tried to press play and also tried using the spacebar but it wont play the video. I can see that the video is in the time line with the audio but I'm stuck. Note: This is my first day using the program so please use words that are detalied. Thanks!

Import (or paste) timecodes from a spreadsheet (Excel) to an Adobe Premiere project

Hello,
I have been binge watching tons of material and annotating timecodes (in and outs) in an Excel spreadsheet. Now I have received the material in high resolution and I don't want to do the work all over again creating the subclips.
I have tried importing bach list (csv file) but when i reconnect the media it erase all the in and out information. I have looked into the xml files as well.
The CSV file worked fine until I relinked the material, then all the in and outs were erased and I only had the clip without any marks. This is how I make the csv file: Unknown Tape,01:19:26:00,01:22:24:19,SUBCLIP1,,,,,
Unknown Tape,10:11:47:11,10:16:03:19,SUBLCLIP2,,,,, I have tried to change "Unknown Tape" for the name of the file as well.
I have tried using prelude as well but I couldn't find any solution.
My spreadsheet is something similar to this:

The video was captured from my Sony Camcorder (Mini DV) 720x576 25fps 4:3 PAL Resolution. All it says is the video is AVI.

Project wont load?

I was working on a project last night, i opened it just now and it says the project is unreadable or to new for this version of final cut. anyone know how to fix this, nothing changed since last night

It is possible the project file got corrupted.
Close FCE. Then use the Finder to navigate to +Final Cut Express Documents/Autosave Vault+ and open the most recent +backup copy+ of your project.
If the backup copy opens & works in FCE, do +File > Save As,+ give your project a +new name,+ and save it. You may lose any edits you did after FCE autosaved the most recent backup copy, but at least most of your project will be recovered.

How to export AE Projects to Adobe Premiere?

I want to color correct my videos. How can I transport my color corrected videos to Premiere? What do I export it as? I tried both AE project and Adobe Premiere Project and they both don't work. Thanks!

Here's a page that outlines the various ways to exchange data between After Effects and Premiere Pro.
When you export a project or use copy and paste, aspects of an After Effects project have to be converted into Premiere Pro project features, or vice versa. This conversion is far from complete, and it's not intended for perfect fidelity. This page has tables to show what is converted and how.
If you want perfect fidelity, you need to either use Dynamic Link or render and export an intermediate movie.

Adobe Premiere Pro cs5 has eaten a free space on the hard drive!

The initial video file was about 1Gb, I needed to cut it and add audio to it. I tried exporting with DV PAL encoding, there was about 15Gb of free space on the hard drive. It took a long time to export and somewhere at 90% it showed the message that free space on the drive was out. I closed Premiere, the target directory where encoded AVI should be exported was empty. The search by name doesn't find anything. Disk cleanup freed only 5Gb. Could you please tell me what the directory where Premiere store a temporary files while Encoding Sequence.

Hello, I have a very similar problem. A few days ago I was alarmed to see all of a sudden my Main Hard Drive full.
The editing station that I'm working on is a new computer and all media and scratch disks are assigned to a project folder on another hard drive.
I started digging through the main drive to find what is loading the drive and realized that Media Cache files folder has over 30 Gigabytes of data in it!
In the Adobe Premiere Media Settings there is an option to redirect the Cache files or Save them next to originals check box (Which I selected).
This brings me to very important questions:
What is the correct process of setting up Adobe Premiere project so there are no temporary, cache, pre-renders.... clog up the main drive or get scattered elsewhere? It would be very preferable to keep everything in one project folder.
Should I redirect or keep the files with originals?
Besides Scratch disks and Media Cache files are there any other files generated by the program? If there is, where can I find them?
Once I complete my project and want to completely delete it from my computer, what is the correct way of removing everything so nothing is left over from the deleted project?
Answers to these questions are very important for me and I would be very grateful to get answers to them :-)
