Adobe Presenter/ Edit Audio Feature

I am struggling with Adobe Presenter and the edit audio feature.
First, I am in a Win 7 environment with Administrator rights. Second, I am using MS Office 2010 (PowerPoint 2010) and Adobe Presenter 7.0 (as a part of Adobe E-Learning Suite CS4).
I recently imported into my Powerpoint presentation  a large MP3 audio file (137 MB) using Presenter's audio import function.  Presenter imported this audio file with no issues.  But since the import, I experience some odd behaviors with Presenter.  The first issue is that the Move To Next Markeroption (Ctrl M) is grayed out so I am unable to mark where next slide goes.  The next oddity is sometimes when the play feature in engage, the position indicator moves, but no sound is played.   My speakers are on and it just played a few moments ago.
I have reconverted the mp3 and re-imported it multiple times.  I have tried importing a WAV file in lieu of the mp3 and still experience these issues.  The only thing that I can find that clears it is to close out PowerPoint/Presenter.  Then, I have to relaunch the file.  At first it will work, but then it will return to this odd behavior.
Any suggestions for a remedy would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much.

Hi Vikram
Thank you for the suggestions.
I have completed the tests and updates mentioned below but am still waiting for the client to test the recording again.
Are your video card driver is up to date? Please check whether you have the latest driver from the manufacturer’s site. Point 2 below will help you in finding the manufacturer’s identity.   – Yes driver has now been updated
Are all unnecessary applications closed? – have advised client to close all unnecessary apps at next recording
Do you have sufficient free space on your hard disk? At least 5 GB is needed, but around 15 GB is recommended. Yes – more than 100GB free
Are your webcam drivers up to date? It is recommended to install the webcam driver from the webcam cd or the webcam company’s site. Using the inbuilt webcam only – the test with external webcam was on a loaned device
Are you capturing your video in a well-lit environment? Most webcams perform poorly in bad lighting. Yes the area is well lit
After the next recording I will let you know result and include screen shots if it is an unsuccessful test.
Thanks

  • Adobe Presenter Editing

Is there a way to blur a section of a video in Adobe Presenter Video Express? Is there a way to add text (besides cc)? Adobe Presenter

Yes, you will need an actual video editing tool to do that. You could then bring the video back into Presenter as well. When using APVE, it would be best to plan on using dummy information or a version of your tool that won't contain sensitive information. This can eliminate your need to obscure portions of the capture.
As to the text, I suppose you could add text in PPT and layer it on top of the video, but that feels like a bit of a hack. There is the ability to have text in the name and title fields at the bottom of the captured video, but I suspect that isn't exactly what you are looking for.

  • Audio Problems in Adobe Presenter: Help Needed Urgently!!

I am using trial versions of Adobe Presenter 7 and Adobe Connect 8.
I created a presentation in in Powerpoint 2002 and published through Adobe Presenter to Adobe Connect Pro. This presentation has voice over recorded through the Adobe Presenter "record audio" option.
In Adobe Connect Pro, I created a meeting and shared the above mentioned presentation through the "Share Document" option in Connect Pro.
Now, when I play the presentation in this Adobe Connect Meeting, I am not getting any audio that was recorded in Adobe Presenter. Whereas if I play the published presentation directly it plays the recorded audio.
Can anyone help me on this?
    1. Are there any settings to be done in Powerpoint or Adobe Presenter or Connect pro?
    2. Is it the problem of Trial Account or something like that?
Please let me know the solution. Need to work on this ASAP!!!
    Thanks in Advance,
    Yogini

This is a weird one. If you created a prezo with audio and published it to AC (Adobe Connect) and everything worked fine on your desktop then it should work fine in AC i.e. there are no other settings required on AC's side, it should just play.
As I am typing this I thought of similar audio problems that we have experienced in the past. A big one would be where another user created a PPT on their laptops and handed it to us. When testing the audio did not work. Reason being is that not all the files were coppied over BUT I must accept that this is not your problem as it definately worked on your PC before you published it to AC.
Wait there is one setting in the publish settings. In the output options tick "Upload source presentation with assests", then tick audio.
I cannot think of anything else. There is a man called Heyward Drummond on the Adobe Connect General forum, who is a real master at answering queries like this. Why not post your query there and see if he comes up with an answer?

  • Book marking feature in adobe presenter

Is there a book marking feature in adobe presenter?

The presentation is huge.  I can't send.  However, even on a single slide presentation when I add an interaction it does not work.
Delete - for exampe if I try to use a process tab interaction, it starts with 4 tabs, but I only want 3 tabs.  How can I delete a tab.
The label on the tab is too small - I need to put 3 words on it, can't I shrink text size or use more of tab.
When I enter a graphic using the icon, it is not moveable and is not size right.
I don't see how I can add text, etc to the interactions.  It seems to freeze, the instructions for how to edit interactions is very poor, so though very technical, I don't understand how to edit/add my own content to an interaction.  Aren't there more robust instructions with maybe a video demonstration on how to use, edit/customize interactions?
Is there an option for allowing Flash that I should be setting on my computer?  That seems to be a potential problem, like enabling java?
Thanks in advance for your help

  • Presenter 7 - how to insert marker type "Click" in Edit Audio dialog

    http://www.adobe.com/education/resources/hed/instructional/connect/collaborative_teaching/ pdfs/edit_audio_adobe_pres.pdf
The above document includes information that you can add four types of markers by using the Audio Editor in Presenter and one of the marker types is mouse-click animation. I can't find a way to do it in reality. The only way to insert this type of market is in Edit Sync dialog, not in Edit Audio. This requires resynchronisation of the whole audio instead of just adding one marker. In Edit Audio dialog I only have markers of type "Wait for user" and "Go to slide".

    Hi,
This problem Could happen when you referesh quality or test system.
Your delta setup for the related master and transaction data needs to be reinit.
What happens is when you init. the delta and subsequent delta is all maintained in your source system

  • Audio Tip: Do not edit audio in Presenter

After much wasted time trying to figure out why is was not playing back properly with missing audio I wanted to pass this tip along...
With Presenter 7.0.6 or 7.0.7 do not edit audio. This includes inserting silence and cutting out audio.
For some reason Presenter created MULTIPLE MP3 files for each slide. I have one slide that has 55 seconds of audio and Presenter has split that into 16 different MP3 files. Some are .5 seconds long. This seems to mess up the play back sometimes freezing up playback.
Record your audio using something else and import one MP3 for each slide and then add the slide timing.

Hey Frank. This is a good tip. Ever since Presenter changed the way they handle audio files, we have stopped recording our audio in Presenter; we all happen to have Captivate licenses on my team so we use it to record and edit all audio before we export to Presenter. If we have to make any changes, we also go back to Captivate and import the changed audio again. We tried working with the Adobe "support" for months on this issue and got nowhere. Each time you alter audio, even if you remove your breathing sounds, if divides the audio into two parts at the place where you changed it. So, yes, for longer pieces of audio, you end up with multiple files. Presenter does "merge" them together when you publish; however, it doesn't do a very good job of it. So every time the playbar reaches one of these split sections of the audio, it has a little glitch.
Now that you can record audio in PowerPoint and since the PowerPoint integration is so much better in Captivate, we will be dropping our Presenter licences. We may keep one or two so we can update existing modules. Unfortunately when the product has too many glitches and the support is not good (we had Gold or Platinum support too), you can't afford to stay with the product. We've used it for about 6 years.

  • Adobe Presenter 9 Video Editing

I have a question for anyone who can answer this:
Would Adobe Presenter 9 allow me to take a longer video and cut it up into smaller pieces to incorporate into a presentation? I have a slide deck being used in conjunction with recorded Instructor-Led Training. The recording for the ILT I believe is going to be one, continuous recording that lasts approximately 4 hours long. I need to be able to go in, cut out the pieces of the recording I need, and put them into my presentation to correspond to the slides. Will Adobe Presenter 9 allow me to do this level of editing?

No, Presenter doesn't have any video editing functionality worth mentioning. The little bit it does have is not going to help you. I would recommend that you look at a video editing tool to make the breaks in the full recording and then import the clips using Presenter. I'm sure that there are many free or low cost options. I personally like the AVS suite of tools, as they cost $59 for a lifetime of upgrades and support. AVS4YOU Top-ranked multimedia tools. Don't let the sale fool you, I've never not seen it on sale.

  • Adobe Presenter 9 and PowerPoint 2013 - Missing Import Audio from PowerPoint button

I am only able to intermitantly use the Import button in Adobe Presenter 9 to Import Audio from PowerPoint. Why would I be able to do it on some presentations but not all? I thought it was an audio conversion issue but even when I convert the audio (when prompted by PowerPoint) it doesn't always allow me to import it.

I have found a solution if the original PowerPoint was a ppt file, follow these steps:
File > Save As a pptx file
Close PowerPoint (this helps with not corrupting the file)
    Re-open the pptx file
    File > Convert
Save with a new file name (this helps with not corrupting the file)
You should now have the Import from Presentation button if you go to the Presenter tab and click the Import button
I have not found a solution for pptx files yet.

  • I have no audio when using Adobe Presenter.  My daughter, on her MacBookPro, does have audio.

I'm trying to listen to a lecture on Adobe Presenter but there is no audio.

    Hi Funkd,
The video / audio team is still hard at work trying to fix the audio problems introduced in 11.3.  Would you be willing to test a build of Flash Player that contains a few changes and additional debug logging functionality?  If so, please contact me directly at [email protected]
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • Adobe Captivate Help | Edit audio

This question was posted in response to the following article: http://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/using/edit-audio.html

I had the same issue, and finally I found "DJ Audio Editor" and it works well. It has everything I need and does the job perfectly. It supports various audio formats, have powerful filters and effects. The best point is its affordable $20 price, instead of hundreds of dollars.

  • Premiere Pro to Adobe Audition Dynamic link does not work. Cannot edit audio in Audition.

Trying to edit Audio from Premiere Pro within Audition thru the Dynamic link but it does not fire up Audition to edit. Seems like a common problem/bug. But no one has posted a solution. Please Help
    -Windows 7
    -Premiere Pro CC 2014
    -Adobe Audition CC 2014

You dont understand it was all working fine in the previous Adobe versions. matter of fact you can go on youtube and see a couple of videos that shows the work flow between Premiere Pro and audition by way of Dynamic link. If you edit a video clip in Premier Pro and want to add some music or simply edit the audio that is contained in the video there was a time within Premiere Pro you can just right click "Edit in Adobe Audition" and Audition would open with the audio clip in place. Much in the same way Premiere Pro works with After Effects thru the Dynamic Link. The Dynamic Link is the bridge between applications to work with each other. For some reason Premiere Pro and Audition Dynamic Link is not working properly.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro Help | Editing audio in a Timeline panel

This question was posted in response to the following article: http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/editing-audio-timeline-panel.html

Or, go into the audio units format of the timeline and manually adjust the audio portion of the cut to hit as close to a zero crossing as possible. Jim's way is the easiest, and sufficient for most people, but if you need perfect cuts and not a quick fade, it is possible to do it in Premiere Pro.

  • OK , I have my instructional coaches creating power point presentation add audio to each slide with the presenter 10 add ins. I need these presentation converted into MP4 like you can do with adobe presenter video creator.

Love the Adobe products first. OK , I have my instructional coaches creating power point presentation add audio to each slide with the presenter 10 add ins. I need these presentation converted into MP4 like you can do with adobe presenter video creator.

If you import the PPT deck into Captivate it will not bring the audio from Presenter. But you can import it into Captivate after the slide deck has been imported. The audio files aren't necessarily named in a logical fashion in the source files for the presentation, so I would recommend that you publish the presentation locally and then find the 'data' folder in the published output and the audio files will be named in a way that you can infer the slide they are associated with. Not the simplest proceedure but it should be pretty painless.

  • Adobe Presenter - audio and video

Could someone please tell me the difference between adding
audio and video to a PP presentation via PowerPoint vs. importing
and adding audio and video using the Presenter tab?
Also, I'm looking for a list of things that won't work when
publishing. For example, I noticed that animations, slide
transitions and QuickTime movies won't work after publishing.
    Thanks SO much.
    Leona

Check out the documentation on Presenter -- there are some
very specific ways you need to add audio (use "Record Audio" or
"Edit Audio" in the Presenter menu) and video (use "Insert video"
    in the Presenter menu).
Powerpoint has facilities to do these things as well, but
Presenter won't be able to publish them, from what we've
    determined.
For animations, again, read the documentation carefully --
all your animations have to be set to "On Click" or "With Previous"
-- i.e., they can't be timed animations. Again, Presenter won't be
able to translate these timed animations -- you must "click" them
into view (you do this as you're recording audio with "Next
Animation", or you can do it after recording audio using
    "Synchronize Audio").
