Adobe Reader for the BlackBerry PlayBook Showstopping Issue: App does not start

Hello;
I would like to report an issue with the Adobe Reader app for the BlackBerry PlayBook which renders the application fully unusable. This issue occurs everytime. This issue has been tested and verified to occur in two distinct BlackBerry PlayBook devices.
Here is a screenshot stating what version (10.0.3.325) of the Adobe Reader app I have installed:
This, I understand, is the latest version for my platform. Unfortunately, the application does not start. Attempting to run it results in a blank screen after showing the BlackBerry logo. The blank screen can be seen in the following screenshot:
It is also strange that the application does not appear in the Application Permissions list, as seen in the following screenshot:
Is there a fix for this showstopping issue? What steps should I take?

Same issue here. Playbook support knows about it, and referred to Adobe. The Adobe forum has this comment. Looks like our Playbooks are abandoned as a platform.

Because of this, Adobe has decided to end its support of the RIM QNX Playbook devices in March 2012. This means the ability to create new applications for submission to the RIM store will no longer be possible in Adobe Viewer Builder as well as the ability to rebuild existing targets for new releases of Digital Publishing Suite. Any existing QNX targets will be removed from the manage view inside Viewer Builder".

The two finger cycle through apps does not work?

I don'nt know what is wrong, but it seems that the two finger gesture allowing to cycle through apps does not work for me. I am using a standard mac Bluetooth mouse.
Can anyone help me with this?

Adobe Reader for the iPhone?

Hi Guys,
Just wondering is your planing on a version for the iPhone. The one that they use is poor in comparison with yours. No bookmarks and it takes forever to open a PDF with a big number of pages, not to mention the getting around in such a big file. Please let me know if there's something that you can do. Thanks

We are talking about a phone and an ipod. It seems to me that your
complaining that the dancing bear doesn't do the cha cha. However, in
the end the choice is up to Adobe and Apple. Apple does have a habit of
rejecting apps that duplicate the functioning of their applications.
Adobe doesn't talk about applications that are not near release. Time
will tell.

I,m having problems trying to file my SARS tax returns via SARS efiling on their website sarsefiling.co.za .They use adobe reader to open their documents ie EMP201 PAYE and EMP501 VAT returns
it won,t open the document in order for me to capture the company information on their website . I have mozzilla firefox as my protection for sites and emails I go through mozzilla to open adobe documents /attachments . it seems with SARS website doesn,t like this .So how do i go around trying to do my job at work . I think I found a Windows setting that is causing the issue. I'm using
my LCD HDTV as the monitor for this computer, and in order to see the display easily, I have the following setting in Windows 7: Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display > Make text and other items larger or smaller > 150%.
When I change this to the default of 100%, the problems with Reader X in Firefox and IE disappear. Reader 9, however, works perfectly at 100% and 150%.
Is this a known bug in Reader X? Since the problem only appeared when moving from Reader 9 to Reader X, it seems it's not an unsolveable incompatability or something that's too difficult to work around.
Do any others with their displays magnified have this problem? Or does it work perfectly? Would anyone (preferably with Windows 7 64-bit) be willing to set their display magnification to 150% and see if they can replicate the problem?

Downloading Adobe Reader for Windows should be simple and it's not. I'm surprised and frustrated!

Can someone tell me which link on the download site I should use? All I want is the free reader for Windows 8.1.

Anyone know how to change the default font for the new pages? Apparently it does not even come up when I search the 'Help' section of Pages. The level of incompetence in this new version seems breathtaking

I cannot find how to change the default font in the new Pages. It does not appear in the Help area when I search for it. I am never sing Helvetica for my standard documents and cannot seem to change it. What am I missing? And why does Pages help not have an easy answer?

You open a blank template and change the font to you liking. Remember to also get all the styles changed with new font. Then Save As Template. Now you have a template with the font you like.

Are There Any Themes for the Blackberry Tour Approved by RIM, or Not?

I've already had one BB Tour bricked, and I had downloaded all apps through BB App World. However, there appear to be ZERO themes on BB App World. So themes are the one thing I downloaded OTA on various websites, including Crackberry. Seeing that my VZW Tour came pre-loaded with 2 themes, I thought downloading themes was harmless. Is it possible the themes I had downloaded could have crashed my phone? Are there any websites with themes that are approved by RIM?

All Themes at this point are not from RIM.
With the release of the New Developer Software during the Last Conference soon RIM will have themes Approved and available for Download through App world. No ETA at this point though.

What is the login information for the simulated Ubunto servers? TAC does not know.

Start the simulation on a server and trying to login. No joy. No documentation!!!! Support is really lacking on a purchased product from Cisco. TAC says to try cisco/cisco. OMG...they don't know! So we are lead to believe we can use the imbedded Ubunto server 14.04 LTS to generate traffic.

I am going to chime in on this also just to add my voice to the disappointment that is documentation with this product.
I have attempted to implement Craig Brown's solution above, but it is vague in where this configuration change needs to be made. I have a server node added to my topology. I select the server, and then open the properties pane for it. Under Autonetkit, I uncheck auto-generate the configuration. Under configuration I type in the example code Craig Brown provided. I save the project and then move to the simulation view. I right click on the server and click start this node.
When I attach using VNC, the username and password I set (which for this trial were cisco:cisco), would not work.
Please get the documentation under control. I don't believe there is any way that a customer could purchase this product, deploy, read the available documentation, and then be able to deliver it to their users in a workable fashion. Forum discussions on how to login to a simulated server don't really cut it and I don't believe I should have to spend the time to open a TAC case to figure out how to login to a simulated server.
