Adobe Tracker

I created a questionnaire that I plan on using indefinatly. I distributed it and made it so that anyone who has the link can download the form. I tested it and it worked great, as the tracker picked up on the response.
However, a day later there was NOTHING in the tracker what-so-ever. No distributed forms, and no responses.
Also I have Window Washer that washes automatically. Could it have wiped something out? Shouldn't adobe keep track of al this on thier server instead of on my computer?

What platform are you on? Check if the following folders/files are present on your machine after you distribute the form:
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\LocalLow\Adobe\Acrobat\10.0\Synchronizer
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\10.0\Forms
(The above paths are for Vista; you need to check in appropriate path if on any other windows flavor/Mac)
If these folders and files are not present, Tracker will be shown as blank.

  • Adobe Tracker for distribution of forms

Will Adobe Tracker for distribution of forms be affected?

    Hello,
No, Tracker isn't going away; however, if you are using Workspaces to distribute forms and collect form data, you will need to begin using an alternative. Within Acrobat, you can distribute your forms using an internal server or via email; you might also want to look into Adobe FormsCentral, an easy-to-use service for creating and distributing PDF and web forms (and works independently of Acrobat and Tracker). Let me know if you'd like any further assistance or clarification.

What would be the difference between Google tracking and Adobe tracking?

    Hi elindo586,
If you publish the site to Business Catalyst, Adobe does provide tracking for the site traffic.
Yes, it is different from Google tracking, you can read about the difference on following link:

  • How do I delete the Adobe Tracker application?

How do I delete Adobe Tracker from my PC?

I do not use Tracker, but let me give a try to address my thoughts. First a manual is available at https://wwwimages2.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/acrobat/pdfs/acrobat_tracker.pdf.
My response is based on a PC. I would expect something similar in a MAC, but have no idea of how to access some items there.
I would check for tracker as an application running in the task list (ctrl-alt-del). If you see it, note the item name and such so you can disable it. Then you can try killing it from the task list. The go to the start>run and type msconfig and enter. In the services and startup screens, go through looking for similar Adobe products running. Note that AcroTray under startup should not be disabled, it provides your printer process. On this machine I have both the AcroTray and Gamma Loader running on startup from Adobe. Flash is also running as a service. See if you can find something related to the tracker there and just disable it.
Hope the ideas help. Basically, this would be the process I would take if I could not find a disable in the software itself.

  • Collecting data via SharePoint using LiveCycle form and Adobe Tracker

I created a form in LiveCycle ES 8.2 and have distributed it via Adobe 9.3.4 Pro (I am running Windows 7.) For the first two days, when I opened up track forms, all was working well and I was receiving all responses. However, on the third day, I was not receiving any new responses, so I called up a couple of the people I had distributed the form to to see if they had in fact submitted it, and they had. Everything on their end looked as though the form went through. They received "sucessfully submitted" messages, although I still have not recieved them. So, I went in, created a new distribution with the people that I had not received responses from. Again, I received responses the first day, but have not received a response on any of the following days.
Is anyone else having this same issue?

    UPDATE
The error that is being received is, "Acrobat cannot connect to the server, but will automatically submit your form once the server is online." Our SharePoint is showing no problems. In addition, I received a new response today out of the blue. But someone tried to resubmit a form and received the "cannot connect" error.

  • Adobe Tracker icon can't be removed from system tray??

I've been using Adobe Acrobat to created PDFs and do a shared review on a server. It's been great. Today someone asked me how to get rid of the Tracker icon that showed up in their system tray. It doesn't go away! I tried turning off notifications and hiding the icon, but it comes back after restarting. Any ideas?? I don't want people to stop reviewing my material because they don't want this Tracker to show up on their machines.

I am not sure where the startup is located, in the registry or one of the startup files. You can try to find out by going to START>Run>msconfig. You can search for where the file is being setup for starting.

  • Random characters added in Excel export from Adobe Tracker (via fillable PDF from FormsCentral)

Exported fillable PDF from FormsCentral and distributed it via Adobe Pro X.  Received two responses and from the Tracker, we exported to Excel.  In the Excel columns, there are seemingly random characters and the word "edit" which are not in our question.  For example, "_10_8_House_rep_edit;_6S7OYQDcL9nQcNR6j761WQ
    Thanks!

    1. To edit the PDF follow these steps : http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-3661
    2. The fillers don't need to have a subscription (paid or free) to fill up the form. They can fill out the PDF and save it to their machine and then submit. Only the author of the form needs to have a paid FormsCentral subscription to collect data via PDF forms.

  • Adobe Tracker marking old comments as new on startup.

    Hi all-
Each time I start Tracker, it marks old comments as new, but only those comments from me, the initiator. For example-one document that is currently out for review has 16 comments from me. For three days now, every time I open Tracker when it gives notification of new comments, the only "new" comments are old comments that I have made that are marked as new.
    Any ideas what's going on?
    Acrobat XI Pro
    Creative Cloud
    Windows 7 x64
Review Server is on a network drive.

I am on a 2008 Dual Quad core, 10GB Ram with NVidia GTX 285 running PrPro CC (7.2.2) on OS 10.8.5 every day.
I don't have projects as large as yours but just started a new one with 50+ hours of mixed footage from GoPro, C300, 5dMk3 and RED 4K.
It struggles at times and I attribute most of that to low Ram. I recently tested OSX 10.9.5 (Mavericks) with CC(2014.2) and determined that 10.8.5 is faster on my machine.
NO way am I going to Yosemite until I absolutely have to.
I would definitely consider replacing your ATI video card with a NVidia to take advantage of CUDA acceleration.
The GTX 285 is inexpensive used (ebay) and it's drivers ARE still supported on Mac. Whatever NVidia card you choose, make sure it's configured for Mac to avoid headaches.
I am currently drooling over the ASUS G751JT laptop, I'm just nervous about dropping easy compatibility with affiliated Apple post houses, and starting from scratch on most peripherals.

  • Does anyone know how to troubleshoot Adobe Tracker? Having trouble viewing responses.

I distributed a form yesterday. Now today I can see that there are 26 responses, however when I click on "View Responses," it just opens a copy of the document itself. HELP!

Ramon, thank you for response and screen shot great idea.
    <br />
<br />My question is the following, In your screen shot see how you have Adobe Garamond listed and to the right an arrow head that shows a flyout menu showing you the additional weights for that typeface. Now look at the Garamond cyrillic, see how you have them listed seperatly I would like to organize my font menu so that it shows Garamond cyrillic and to the right have its own arrow head showing all of its additional weights in its own flyout menu.

  • Adobe reader has stopped working when opening tracker [vista & reader x]

    Hello all,
I'm a developer and im constantly uninstalling and reinstalling reader x and acrobat pro x, but i typically have both installed.  Recently, i uninstalled both reader x and acrobat x via Add/Remove Programs in windows Vista, and then later reinstalled them both, and now when i click the adobe tracker icon in my systray, it says adobe reader has stopped working.  I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling and then rebooting, but that doesn't seem to help.  Event viewer says:
Faulting application AcroRd32.exe, version 10.0.1.434, time stamp 0x4d456f48, faulting module mshtml.dll, version 9.0.8080.16413, time stamp 0x4d4cefa9, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x002be0d0, process id 0x1674, application start time 0x01cc04f02e5354a8.
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks!

This is strange. Can you try a couple of things:
    1. Try launching Tracker in Acrobat. In Acrobat X, you will find it in Comment pane->Review->Track Reviews
    2. Launch Reader in non-sandbox mode. For this, launch Reader and uncheck the option 'Enable Protected Mode at startup' in Reader Preferences->General. Close and re-launch Reader. Now launch Tracker.
Does it still crash in both the cases?

  • Can not export data from form tracker

    Hi there,
I have set up a lovely form for collecting data. It all comes into the Adobe Tracker and the Responses file fine.
What i wish to do is export data from the responses file into another format. I should be able to do it from the Export button on the left but it is 'blanked out' and does nothing if I push it. I can't find any details on here or the internet relating to this. And yes, there is data in the file to export .
    Hoping you can help.
    Many thanks in advance.

I have the same problem but... I created two forms for two separate purposes and have had responses to both.
One of them allows me to export the data and the other does not.
Does anyone out there have an answer for this seemingly random anomoly?
    Regards

  • Problems Submitting PDF Forms via Adobe Reader XI?

    Hi,
I have used Acrobat Pro (Versions 9/X and XI) to successfully create fillable PDF forms. I distributed the forms to a server via Acrobat, then set up a hyperlink to the form's location for my users. The users were able to fill the form and submit it.  I was able to manage the submitted form data via Adobe Tracker.  Recently, many of my users have been updated to Acrobat Reader XI.  Now, some of these same users (who have successfully submitted these forms in the past - before the latest upgrade) can no longer submit the form data!  If a user fills the form and clicks submit, it appears to that user that the form was successfully submitted, but no data appears in Adobe Tracker, even after refreshing... What would cause this??
    Thank you!

What is your operating system?  What is your Reader XI version?  What exactly means "cannot"?

  • Protecting and tracking PDF documents?

    Hello!
We are about to build our new website and need to find a solution to make downloadable PDF documents available for both clients and registered members of our (3) new website(s).
A colleague I spoke to, however, told me that we need to find a solution of some sort to protect against unwanted distribution of the PDF documents that we make available through our website(s).
Initially, I had no idea of how to do this since this is a major issue for companies around the globe that are already struggling with piracy, but he then mentioned something about the Adobe Tracker software.
Does anyone know if that is possible through Adobe Tracker? I've read a bit about this software, but it seemed very vague on what it is it really does?
Perhaps any expert Adobe Acrobat users in here can help me with some answers on this particular topic.
    Thank you very much!

    Thanks, Dave.
I am about to start building our new company website on the WordPress platform, and we would like to add a feature that enables registered users to be able to download select PDF documents that we will offer to our clients, users, etc.
We are just looking for some fairly efficient way of protecting these PDF documents. I have found a plugin for WordPress called 'WP PDF Stamper', maybe that will help us a bit with this issue.
I guess we could make it work with doing it two ways:
    1) Require user registration in order to gain download privileges (items are "free", but then we at least get some information about our users in return for the "free" items we provide)
    2) Secure & Watermark our PDF documents to ensure that the content cannot be copied nor printed.
How does that sound? Something I'm missing?
    Cheers!

  • Adobe CS3 deactivation limits

I am quoting a very interesting article from Macfixit. May be of use to quite a few CS3 users
    Adobe CS3 deactivation limits
Adobe's Creative Suite 3 imposes a limit of 20 deactivations per license. This is causing problems for users of cloned backups. MacFixIt reader Dee Dee Martin writes:
"I always try to remember to deactivate Adobe CS3 before cloning a backup, but yesterday (along with numerous other times) I forgot so I booted up from my clone, ran Photoshop and tried to deactivate. I got a big dialog box saying "Deactivation Failed" error code 194:14, call Adobe tech support.
"I was told there is a limit (21 times) that I could deactivate CS3 and I had reached that limit. Adobe made a 'one time exception' and restored my activation count (yes Adobe tracks this stuff), but I would have to completely erase CS3 (using level 3 of their CS3Clean script) obliterating all prefs, settings, tools, printer profiles etc."
There doesn't seem to be a workable solution for this issue at present.

Actually I did use the phone number on the program's notice screen. The auto system of coarse would not work as I had 2 activations going on the software. (One of which was on the old hard drive from broken system. So, there was no way to de-activate that instance without hours of fun with hardware.)
My "error" was not realizing that the installed CS3 products are essentially tied the the hard drive on which they are installed. Actually a combination of the hard drive and motherboard, etc.
I had cloned the old hard drive's partitions to my new hard drive. All attached to the new motherboard. So it was all effectively the same OS system. Even the XP system did not require reactivation. (Though this was probably because about 2 weeks earlier XP had prompted for reactivation when I moved my boot hard drive to IDE channel 2 as IDE channel 1 had failed on the old motherboard.)
I suppose I could have dug the case out from under my desk. Detached the new hard drive, re-attach the old drive and booted. Then spend an hour loading drivers and updates to XP in order to connect to the internet and deactivate Photoshop and Illustrator on the old hard drive. Turns out that might have been faster than my call to Adobe turned out to be.
Of coarse this fun all started over the weekend when I had time to do the hardware changes. I had effectively been nursing the half dead motherboard for 2 weeks before I had a free weekend to do the hardware swap in the first place. Hadn't occurred to me that the CS3 installs would need reactivation as it was the same OS license and installation just moved to new hard drive and motherboard, or I would would have deactivated first.
Adobe's activation screen/notice required action within 6 or 7 days, not 30. I of coarse could have just fired up my laptop and de-activated it. But, then I would still have an instance that could not be de-activated from my end. Adobe had to do the de-activation on their end.
My thoughts on a better activation system. Tie it to the OS instance, not to hardware. Does that mean a savvy user could bypass. Sure. But, users of pirated software are bypassing already with less trouble.
Activation limits: they violate the basic Adobe user license agreement. The way that agreement reads, there should be no reason a user could not swap their second installed instance between a home computer and laptop multiple times a week.
Such a scenario is not that far fetched. An independent graphic artist could easily have an office, and home computer. But, occasionally need to work on the road with a laptop. Should he have to have 2 licenses to switch between his occasional use of his home computer and laptop? Adobe's activation limits say yes, although the the license effectively says no, one license covers that usage. Section 2.4 of license does not say "personal use" it says "exclusive use".
    From Photoshop CS3 license:
"2.4 Portable or Home Computer Use. Subject to the important restrictions set forth in Section 2.5 below, the primary user of the Computer on which the Software is installed (“Primary User”) may install a second copy of the Software for his or her exclusive use on either a portable Computer or a Computer located at his or her home, provided that the Software on the portable or home Computer is not used at the same time as the Software on the primary Computer. You may be required to contact Adobe in order to make a second copy."
Frankly I have done just that over the years with earlier versions (AI8, PS 6). Had a primary workstation at the office. Had one at home that I used occasionally for business "midnight calls" and for practice/trying new features, etc. But, also as the same primary user I had the software on a laptop so that I could work remotely on my occasional road trips, vacations, etc. There was never anyone using the software other than myself. But, it was on all 3 computers.
I don't see where that violates the words or spirit of section 2.4 of the license agreement (CS3).
Earlier license for Photoshop 6, effectively stated the same:
"2.4. Home Use. You, as the primary user of the computer on which the Software is installed, may also install the Software on one of your home computers. However, the Software may not be used on your home computer at the same time the Software on the primary computer is being used."
    Not using concurrently is understood.
    Enough said for now.

  • How to Add Tracking Notation to Moving Object

I have a video of a lacrosse game. A friend asked if I could put an icon or something on his son that will move with him (annotation) as he plays. I have tried the tracking tool (painful to keep adjusting it) not to mention the camera is really tracking the game as a whole not the player. Is there a way that is not as manually intensive to do this? Is there a plugin for this that works better than Adobes tracking toll or another piece of software for this? I looked at several AECS3 training videos but they weren't that helpful.

If you had CS4, you certainly could use mochaAE, though it would almost certainly still lose the connection more than once. It's the nature of the beast. Apart from that, you might try one of those 3D matchmoving programs. Some of them allow to export 2D tracking info from supervised tracks to AE....
