looks like the credentials used by your Engine for Adobe Document service is not proper.
If you feel Credential is proper, then try checking with the "ADS User" inside the " ADSCallers" ( go to Services -->Security provider -->user management ).
if you have not configured any ADSUser there, then create an "ADSUSER" under "ADS Callers" and Use this user for your "Document security' configuration.

  • Create ADS User Link

    Hi,
is there a way to create a ADS User Link in another Organization Unit? We have a lot of users and a lot of OUs, but now we have to have some users in more than one OU. We don't want to copy the user, we only want to have one user object.
Can this be done by LDAP?
    VB.NET & C#.NET

As Paul mentioned, the answer is no.
I have faced similar needs where a user can have multiple status (Example: A user belong to two departments). What I have done is that I created a custom attribute in AD which is multi-valued. Once done, I linked the attribute to the user class and I populated
it with the required values. With that, I was able to create custom filters that allowed me to achieve my goals.
To create a custom attribute in AD, you can refer to that: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/20319.how-to-create-a-custom-attribute-in-active-directory.aspx

  • Different user IDs in UME and ADS, mapping?

    Dear All,
we want to implement Integrated Windows Authentication for Portal.
For such a implementation we we've found descirption in the SAP Note: 935644 - "Configuring Kerberos on NW04 against Database User Store"
The problem is, that we have different user IDs in J2EE Engine and MS ADS user store and the mapping has to be done "via additional UME attribute".
Anyone know how to implement such a attribute mapping?
    Thanks for help!

  • How to use ADS on SolMan instance and SAP standard PDF forms from ERP

    Hi there
We have installed and configurated the ADS service on our Solution Manager (SolMan) Instance called SD1.
SolMan Info: SAP Solution Manager 7.0; Stack 17; Java-Stack installed; SAP Netweaver 7.0
All ADS test reports can be executed successfully:
    FP_TEST_00
    FP_PDF_TEST_00
We have linked our ERP landscape (e.g. system ED1) to ADS service running on SolMan.
ERP Info: ECC 6.0; Stack 13; no Java-Stack installed
All ADS test reports can be executed successfully:
    FP_TEST_00
    FP_PDF_TEST_00
We want to print PDF documents from SAP standard applications on our ERP landscape. Therefore we want to use standard PDF forms provided by SAP and also available in transaction SFP (e.g. form ISSR_NW670_RX_PDF).
Problem: When we try to create a PDF document from the application we get an error message:
Processing exception during a "Render" operation.#Request start time: Mon Feb 02 13:42:08 CET 2009#com.adobe.ProcessingException: Problem accessing data from Destination: dest:FP_ICF_DATA_ED1//sap/bc/fp/form/layout/ISSR_NW605_PDF.XDP?fp-language=DE&fp-cac
I have also checked the trace (see below) and it seems that the system tries to get the form from the SolMan system and not from the ERP system. But the form is only installed on ERP system.
Are there any ideas how to solve this problem?
    Thanks.

    Hi Experts
i am getting the following errors while executing
    1)  By clicking printpreview button under executing FP_TEST_00
    ADS: com.adobe.ProcessingException: Problem accessing d(200101)
    Message no. FPRUNX001
    2)  FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE by selecting with destination service check box.
SYSTEM Error: com.adobe.ProcessingException:Problem accessing data from Destination :dest:FP_ICF_SID//sapbc/fp/form/layout/FP_FORM_SECURITY_TEST.XDP
    3) FP_CHECK_HTTP_DATA_TRANSFER
SYSTEM Error: com.adobe.ProcessingException:Problem accessing data from Destination :dest:FP_ICF_SID//sapbc/fp/form/layout/FP_FORM_SECURITY_TEST.XDP
I checked in the Visual Admin and noticed that
There are two groups  and user exists
    Gruops :- ADSCALLERS, ADSCallers
    User :-  ADSUSER
According to docuemnt i tryied to add in the mapping area under security roles tab
ADSUser is showing under the groups Everyone, Authenticated users
But  ADSUser is not showing under the both the groups ADSCallers, ADSCALLERS groups
could you please help me in this please
    Thanks & Regards,
    Arun

    I had same problem
I made a mistake in VA that insted of destination system i used java system SID for the connection FP_ICF_DATA_<SID>.
now i changed the connection to ABAP system in VA . FP_ICF_DATA_<SID>.
Example : lets say your java system is TTS and your ABAP system is TTR
initiall i configured FP_ICF_DATA_TTS in my java system by using VA but this is wrong.
then i changed to FP_ICF_DATA_TTR  with client information and user information. and this is worked for me.
i made sure the ADS users are working on both the systems and these users are created as service users insted system users.
now my ADS services are working fine

  • Where can i download ADS for NWDS7.0 ,

    Hi Frndz..
Can anyone tell me that how can i enable ADS for NWDS7.0, while installing NWDS2.0.13 will have a option to install ADS in design tools.but for NWDS how can we get this.
    Regards
    Rajesh

    Hi,
To use the ads service u need to configure ur J2EE server for the ads configuration or settings. u need to create an ads user on the server.
heres the pdf which provides guide lines for configuring ads settings on the server
    [url] https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e87f889e-0d01-0010-1786-83323609d914  [url]
then u also need to install adobe lifecycle designer to design ur adobe forms *i think this set up is optional..

  • Connecting a SAP-ERP-System to ADS-Server

    Hi all,
I'm facing a problem while I'm trying to connect our ERP-Sandbox to an ADS-System by SSL (HTTPS).
I already connected it by HTTP successfully, so it pricipally should work. Also DEV, QAS and PRD-Systems are connected to the ADS by http and https and they are working fine.
The sandbox connection only works with http, not with https. I did the following steps to connect the sandbox to the ADS:
create User ADS_AGENT in ERP-Sanbox (with roles "SAP_BC_FPADS_ICF" and "SAP_BC_FP_ICF")
created Role ADSCALLERS in ERP-Sanbox and assigned it to User ADS_AGENT
created RFC-Connection "ADS_SSL" in SM59 with Type "G" (connectiontest is fine)
created connection/Destination "FP_ICF_DATA_SID_SSL" on ADS-Server. Authentication is basic (by username and password)
    STRUST is also "green"
Usually the connection should work now.
But if I try to test the connection in SE38 by one of the following programs
    FP_PDF_TEST_00
    FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE
    FP_TEST_00
I alway get the same error:
SYSTEM ERROR: Fehler SOAP Framework: SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoapExceptionFault : SOAP fault found in SOAP document /Authentication failed. For details see log entry logID=[No log created, because category "/System/Security/WS" not active] in security log./<yq1:com.sap.engine.interfaces.webservices.runtime.ProtocolExceptionExt xmlns:yq1="http://sap-j2ee-engine/error">Authentication failed. For details see log entry logID=[No log created, because category "/System/Security/WS" not active] in security log.</yq1:com.sap.engine.interfaces.webservices.runtime.ProtocolExceptionExt>(100.102).
Although the trace/log on /System/Security/WS is active (I checked this twice at least and also restartet the ADS) we get no logs or entries here.
    Also ICM-trace gives any error
It would be great if anyone has an idea. Thank you in advance.
    Florian

    Hi Florian,
Similar problem got resolved by changing the HTTPS to HTTP. Is that an option for you.
    ADS with SOAP error
Also check the authorisation of ADS user

  • Regarding ADS Authentication

    Hi,
We are developing application using weblogic workshop8.1 with integration domain.
Let me explain the scenario and requirement.
We need to use ADS for storing and authenticating users.
In admin console, defaultauthenticator under security.Realms.myrealm.Providers.Authentication is used.
Now list of users available under security.Realms.myrealm.Users in admin console can be viewed also in wliconsole's User Management.
We have add some user in ADS..
In admin console, We have configured a Active Directory Authenticator. After configuring, we have re-ordered the configured ADS Authenticator such that it is listed first followed by DefaultAuthenticator and DefaultIdentityAssertor.
Now when we go to security.Realms.myrealm.Users, we can see the users that has been added in ADS.
But the user under User Management in wliconsole are old users and not the ADS users..
to some extent understand that admin console users are stored in Embdedded LDAP and that of wliconsole are stored in pointbase database.
But our doubt is if we use the defaultAuthenticator, admin and wli users are in sync.
we need the ADS users to appear in wliconsole..
Please help us to achieve this...
    Thanx & Regards,
    Ram

    Hi All,
Please somebody give me the solution for this as i need it very badly.. Please help... If the query is not clear, please let me know.
    Thx & Regards,
    Ram

  • SPNego: User ID Mapping

    Hi Gurus,
We have a requirement, to have SSO between, user Microsoft Credentials and SAP Portal.
The Chalenge here is that the user name, in Microsoft credentials is different from the Portal user, so we need authenticate the user against ADS and then setup the SAP Logon Ticket with the Portal user ID.
We will be using the same ADS, for both SPNego and SAP Portal UME, but as we need a different ID for SAP Portal we will do an attribute Mapping for that porpoise.
    For example
    ADS User = 20 characters
    Portal user= 8 characters
SAPLogon Ticket generated with 8 characters Portal user.
    Thanks in Advanced.
    Rogelio

    Hi Rogelio,
please have a look into SAP Library. There you will find detailed instructions how to <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/43/4bd58c6c5e5f34e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm">use Kerberos authentication for Single Sign-on with SAP NetWeaver Portal</a>.  Contemplating your requirements (Kerberos Principal Name is different from portal user name), I suggest you pay special attention to sub section <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/43/4bba9d9e5e5f6ce10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm">Configuring  the UME</a> and <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/43/4c363ac31e30f3e10000000a11466f/frameset.htm">Configuring the UME when Using ADS Data Sources for Kerberos</a>.

  • Setting user language explictly?

    Hi everybody,
We want to use e-mail notifications for KM and our portal is connected to an Active Directory 2003 server. The problem is that there is no language defined for the ADS users, so notifications are sent in English even if I change the default portal locale in prtdefault.properties and prtcentral.properties.
If I explicitly set a different language in the user properties page the notifications are sent in the correct language for that user, but there must be a way to change this setting automatically for everyone? I tried messing around a bit with the datasource config xml files, but I couldn't find a way to set a specific value for a field. This is on EP6 SP2 Patch 30.
    Thanks in advance!

I see. I think I found the service responsible in the <i>com.sap.netweaver.bc.rf.service.par</i> file, by decompressing <i>bc.rf.global.service.notificator_api.jar</i> and  decompiling the AbstractNotification.class file. I will also try finding a more standard solution.
    Thanks
UPDATE: We received a working solution from OSS, here it is if anyone else needs it.
In the J2EE server startup parameters, we added the following lines :
    -Duser.language=<language code>
    and
    -Duser.region=<region code>
Now notification emails are sent in the correct language. Strange, because this setting according to the help document is at lower priority than the request.mandatorylanguage settings, but it works!
