ADT Packaging APK With Native .so Libs

Greetings,
I have 2 native libararies (.so) which I need to include in an apk.  It appears that they MUST exist in the following 2 directories:
myAPK
/lib
/armeabi
/armeabi-v7a
My team has spent probably 72 hours ellapsed trying to figure out how to do this and we have yet to find a solution.  Thus far we have tried:
Extracting an .apk archive, manually inserting the above /lib directory as needed, re-zipping the .apk, and then re-signing the apkThis approach was haulted by the fact that no matter what we did in terms of signing, when trying to run the APK on a device, logcat informed us that there were no certificates present.  This is almost certainly untrue, but it suggests that we simply do not understand the complexities of re-signing a previously signed APK after we have manually altered it.
Including the /lib directory when calling the ADT packagerThis call successfully included the /lib directory, but the /lib directory was located within the APK's /assets directory like all of the other AIR files.  This seems to prevent the Android loader from locating the native libraries.
A permanent solution to this problem would be great, but at this point I will even thank someone for a completely hacked solution because this impediment has crippled our entire project's foreword progress.
Thanks.
Matt

Hi,
Does the section "Including additional Android shared libraries in the ANE package" in this doc help? http://help.adobe.com/en_US/air/extensions/WSf268776665d7970d-2482335412ffea65006-8000.htm l#WSf268776665d7970d-6be13ace1308aaebeca-7fff

  • ADT packaging with native extensions : permission denied error when running remote build.

    Hi Team,
We are facing the following error when running the nightly ant build script on Mac machine for our air mobile application. We are using iOS native extensions and package with ADT. This works fine when we run the build as local user in the Mac machine. Earlier we faced some issues due to headless build and we have added the <headless-server>true</headless-server> in corresponding config files (flex-config.xml, airmobile-config.xml). After that we are facing the following error, even when we run the ant build in headless mode using the following command.
    ant -Djava.awt.headless=true -f build.xml buildPackage
When running this build as local user in the Mac build machine, we see a window opening with com.adobe.air.ADT while packaging. This is the issue when running nightly build as there is no graphics window.
Can anybody please help how to get rid of this issue for nightly build using adt, jar?

Note: Before the above error that were two other errors .
    1) The build complained that the adt-bundle-linux toolchain could not be found and required that it be added to .mozconfig. This was done.
    2) The build complained that dx could not be found.
The configure file was edited and the values $DX, $AAPT and $AIDL were all set to the adt-bundle-linux/sdk/build-tools/android-4.4 path.
The instructions given on the Mozilla Wiki did not work right for Android and several modifications were made to move it along. But this permission error is tough to figure out.

  • Flex components not compatible with iOS/ADT packager?

I've been struggling hard and long to export a simple Hello World project to my iPhone with AIR 2.6. After a lot if reading on different blogs and sites I've gotten as far as packaging my debug swf to an IPA with ADT. The app starts on my iPhone but freezes during the preloader. If I change my main file to a strict AS3 file extending a Sprite it runs fine. Haven't been able to get startTouchDrag to work but I don't know if that has something to do with this problem.
    I've tried:
Compiling with Flex 3.5, 4.0 and 4.1 (all merged with AIR 2.6 ofcourse)
I've tried setting the project to Flex 3 compatible (when using 4.0 and 4.1)
I've tried using MX components only.
Am I banging my head against a wall here or is it possible to package Flex applications or do they need to be strict AS3?

    Hi Jeffrey
Thank you for replying! I will try Burrito when I get the chance.
I'm using iOS 4.3 on an iPhone 3GS so that shouldn't be a problem. I package with the AIR 2.6 adt and the swf is compiled in FB4 using Flex 4.1 merged with Air 2.6. I changed the main mxml file to an AS3 and now it runs on my iPhone but I can't get the TouchEvents to work. I get true when I trace Multitouch.supportsTouchEvents but I get no events when listening for TOUCH_BEGIN or TOUCH_TAP on either stage or a sprite. I've also added  -target-player=11 as and additional compiler argument in FB4 (from Cantrell blog).
Is there something I might need to add to my adt packaging?
    C:\AdobeAIRSDK\bin\adt -package -target ipa-test -provisioning-profile HelloWorld.mobileprovision -storetype pkcs12 -keystore rs.p12 -storepass XXXXXX ./HelloWorld.ipa ./bin-debug/HelloWorld-app.xml -C ./bin-debug HelloWorld.swf -C ./bin-debug assets
Should there be any files in the assets folder that I'm missing or anything special in the main-app.xml file?

  • AIR 15.0 for OSX - ADT: Packaging failed. Packager internal error

Packaging a SWF to AIR with captive runtime and native installer (using "-package bundle"), building on PC worked perfectly fine.  After making all of the requisite changes to make it work for Mac, I'm now running into the "Packaging failed. Packager internal error" when building using adt through the command line.  My .command script is as follows:
    cd [directory]
    adt -package -storetype pkcs12 -keystore ../cert/key.p12 -storepass pw -target bundle Bundle ../App.xml App.swf -extdir ../lib icons/16.png icons/32.png icons/128.png
What can cause this vague "Packger interal error" error? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Steve
I have same problem with apple Developer Id Application certificate (downloaded from apple), got past the chain error message by including intermediate and root certificates when I exported from keychain, but got the package error referenced here. Also when I sign on windows machine with my code signing certificate (selecting windows installer) all publishes ok, but the certificate is not attached, says 'unknown developer' when I down load and try and run installer on windows machine. I sent the exe to Comodo (the guys I got the code signing certificate from) and they say the exe is not signed.
Finally I get 'The digital certificate is invalid'  error when I try and use 'Developer Id Installer' certificate (downloaded from apple).
I think there must be several problems here with Air SDK.
Stopping me from publishing and I have a very upset Customer. Can someone from Adobe please advise asap.

  • Package into a native installer fails on Linux (Flex SDK 4.5) : "Invalid AIR file"

    Hi,
We've moved our application to compile against the 4.5 SDK.
We're compiling it with Flash Builder (on mac) into an air file and as our application is using NativeProcess API, we're packaging it on each platform into a native installer with the following command (linux example) : adt -package -target native app.deb app.air
We think we fall into the same issue ashttp://forums.adobe.com/message/3271944#3271944 but for the 4.5 DSK.
On Linux it used to work with the following environment (env1):
    - Ubuntu 10.10
    - Java Sun 1.6.0_24
    - Flex SDK 4.1.0.16076 + Adobe Air SDK 2.5.0
It stops to work when we upgrade to the new Flex SDK (env2):
    - Ubuntu 10.10
    - Java Sun 1.6.0_24
    - Flex SDK 4.5.0.20967 (with the default embeded Adobe Air SDK 2.6)
The faut message is "Invalid AIR file" and nothing is logged in the log file (/home/<username>/.appdata/Adobe/AIR/Logs/Install.log).
    1) The .air file is installing correctly on env2 (without the support of the NativeProcess as expected)
    2) We also tried to compile the project directly on env2 :
    amxml app.mxml
    adt -package -storetype pkcs12 -keystore cert.p12 app.air app-app.xml air.swf
The .air file is installing fine but the packaging into a native process fails in the same way...
    3) We tried to package a native installer of our .air file on env1 and it works!!! (the installed application seems to work fine also on env2!!!)
Are we missing something or does it seems to be a bug of the Flex SDK 4.5?
Are there some restrictions to package a native installer with the Flex SDK 4.1 a air app build with the Flex SDK 4.5 ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Mich

    Hi,
Finally we figure out how to solve the issue.
The packaging into native .deb installer fails as explain above because with the hole Flex SDK 4.5 (adt -version told 2.6.0.1920).
The packaging is successfull if only Air SDK 2.6 is install.
What is strange that both adt seems to be the same "2.6.0.1920" (found with "adt -version").
Can someone from the Adobe dev team explain it?
I suppose as the Flex SDK is not available for the Linux platform, the download only contains the Air SDK for Windows and Mac OS as opposed to the specific download of the Air SDK for te Linux platform...
    Thanks,
    Mich

  • Application with native extension crashes onstart

I've created a flex mobile project with ios native extension(with ad frameworks such as facebook, chartboost ) and linked 3rd party frameworks.
when I start the application,it's crashes.I can't see any logs.is this a problem with linking 3rd party frameworks?

    please help

I've been trying to make a Chartboost ANE as well, and I have the same problems as you.
First of all, it's easier to just use the headers and Chartboost static library directly in the Xcode project, instead of the Chartboost.framework. This way, your own .a file will include the Chartboost library, and you don't need to package it in the ANE. The resulting ANE will be smaller as well.
But whichever way you do it, the app will still crash. The error I get is the following:
<Error>: -[__NSCFString isEqualToNumber:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x17802a4e0
This seems to be a problem with newer versions of the Chartboost SDK specifically. So for now I'm still using Chartboost 4.0 in my ANE. Unfortunately it doesn't contain some of the new features I'd like to use.
I've contacted Chartboost support about it. But they say they don't support AIR, and their SDK is working fine when used in a regular native app.
So somehow the combination of Chartboost and AIR is making it crash... If anyone has been able to get it working with the new Chartboost SDK, I would sure like to hear about it!

I have no other insight into why this is failing.  This same build file works just fine on both Mac/Windows and I'm creating native installers for those operating systems that work.  Why is it failing on Linux?

After some more playing, I was able to get it to work with the latest versions of Ubuntu, Flex SDK, AIR SDK and the Sun JDK:
    - Ubuntu 10.10
    - Sun JDK 1.6.0.23
    - Flex SDK 4.1.0
    - AIR SDK 2.5.0
Strangely, I think this is the same config I had before when it wasn't working. However, this time I made it a point to install the Sun JDK manually, rather than via a DEB or other installer.
Here are links to all of the Linux packages I used:
    Java SE 6 Update 23 > jdk-6u23-linux-i586.bin (Direct download from Sun/Oracle)
Flex SDK 4.1.0 > flex_sdk_4.1.0.16076.zip (Direct download from Adobe)
AIR SDK 2.5.0 > AdobeAIRDSDK.tbz2 (Direct download from Adobe)
Let me know if you have any questions. I'm happy to help.

Now, after this, when I log into the portal and see the MSS role, the links are all missing. I see only Overview and its worksets and pages and Reports and its worksets. Everything else is missing. The warning that I see is<b> "Linked object is unavailable"</b>
Could anyone please suggest me what could be wrong?
    Thanks,
    Sunitha<b></b>

    Hi Sunitha,
First of all I was not able to find if your backend is ERP 2004 or ERP 2005. It should be ERP 2005 if you want to user ESS 1.0 and MSS 1.0 BP
Please check in Content Administrator if you can locate these applications and test the same. If yes then you can ignore this warning. If No, in that case you have to redeploy XSS, ESS and MSS using SDM again.
The links in portal comes from your backend Area Page Customizing. To verify if the problem is with your Portal Business Package or with your backend customizing run your ESS applications using
    http://<portal>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/pcui_gp~xssutils/XssMenuArea?sap.xss.menuhdr=SAPDEFAULT&sap.xss.menuargrp=SAPDEFAULTESS
    and MSS using
    http://<portal>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/pcui_gp~xssutils/XssMenuArea?sap.xss.menuhdr=SAPDEFAULT&sap.xss.menuargrp=SAPDEFAULTMSS
If you can see all the links correctly here, your backend customization is fine and there is a problem with your BP of ESS and MSS. So you will have to import the same again in the portal. However if you are not able to view the links in the page, then there is a problem with you Area Page Customization. You will need to check your config with the Client 000 configuration to find out the missing config.
    Hope this helps.

    Shubham

  • Signature file with native installer

Just curious if anybody understands how the signature.xml file works with AIR apps installed via the native installer
I thought that if you create an AIR application, install it, and then add content (even one small file) to the application's installation directory, it should break the application because the META-INF/AIR/signature.xml file would be all out of whack.
But that doesn't seem to be the case with AIR files created with native installer. Does anybody know why this might be?
    Thanks for any thoughts.
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,
For a native application installer, signatures.xml does not carry the signature of the package. So modifying any of the content (adding or modifying files after the package is installed) would not require any changes in signature.xml file.
Details about packaging an AIR application as a native installer can be obtained here:

  • Cannot retrieve aur packages installed with yaourt

I accidently deleted /var/lib/pacman folder while attempting to solve my update issues (updating system after a long time) . I restored my local pacman database with the excellent guide in the wiki using /var/log/pacman.log  http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pac … l_database. I was able to update and restore my system. However, yaourt is not listing my installed aur packages. I re-installed yaourt and tried packer as well but it is not able to find the aur packages I installed using yaourt earlier to my update ( It is able to install and list new aur packages) . I can run the old aur packages  but I am not able to remove or list them. How can I list these lost aur packages or remove them completely? Is there a way to retrieve the database for aur packages installed with yaourt?
    Thanks.

    Hi karol,
    Thanks for your response.
Executing pacman -Qm only lists aur packages which were installed after I accidently deleted /var/lib/pacman. I am not able to list those aur packages that I installed with yaourt prior to my /var/lib/pacman deletion. I am not sure how the accidental deletion and this issue is related, but I would like to delete these old aur packages. One example of such an aur package installed through yaourt (prior to blunder of /var/lib/pacman deletion ) was chromium-browser. I am able to run chromium-browser, but since this package is very old I would like to remove it. However, neither pacman nor yaourt is able to remove it.
    # pacman -R chromium-browser

error: 'chromium-browser': not found in local db
    $ yaourt -R chromium-browser

Chromium-browser is just one of the packages I remember having installed using yaourt prior to the /var/lib/pacman deletion. I would like to know if there is a way to find all such aur packages installed through yaourt prior to /var/lib/pacman deletion and if possible, delete them.
    Thanks.

  • Mavericks VPN dropouts with native VPN client and Cisco IPSec

Since update to Maverics I am experiencing VPN dropouts with native VPN client and Cisco IPSec
I am connecting via a WIFI router to a remote VPN server
The conenction is good for a while but eventually it drops out.
I had Zero issues in mountain lion and only have issues since the update to 10.9
I had similar issues in teh past with an unrelaibel wifi router but i am using a Verizon Fios router and it has worked impecably until mavericks
    My thoughts are:
1 -issue with mavericks  ( maybe the app sleep funciton affecting eithe VPN or WIFI daemons)
2- Issue with  cisco router compaitibility or timing with Cisco IPSEC
3- Issue with WIFI itself on mavericks - some sort of WIFI software bug
    Any thousuggestions?

  • Performance for join 9 custom table with native SQL ?

    Hi Expert,
I need your opinion regarding performance to join 9 tables with native sql. Recently i have to tunning some customize extraction cost  report. This report extract about 10 million cost of material everyday.
The current program actually, try to populate the condition data and insert into customize table and join all the table to get data using native sql.
    SELECT /*+ ordered use_hash(mst,pg,rg,ps,rs,dpg,drg,dps,drs) */

It seems the query ask for database to using hashed table. would that be it will burden the database ? and impacted to others sap process ?
    Please advise
    Thank You and Best Regards

you can only argue coming from measurements and that is not the case.
Coming from the code, I see only that you do not understand it at all, so better leave it as it is. It is not a hash table, but a hash join on these table.

  • How to create the Contribution region with Native document

    HI,
I have the below scenario to have the Contribution region in my custom page.
    1) I am displaying all Campaign records in primary page.
    2) When I click on each Campaign record, this will take me to secondary page to display the Editable Contribution region assigned with Native document.
    My requirement :
    3) I have 4 more Contribution Regions which will have to relate to the same above said Campaign in secondary page. To achieve this, I have only one contribution region with multiple elements within that region in my secondary page.
Please let me know how I can add different native documents to 4 different Contribution Regions. Now if I add different document to the region, same document will be assigned to the each region having different elements. Also if I add multiple regions in secondary page, primary page will only point to first region available in that secondary page.
Please let me know how I can add 4 different native documents to 4 different Contribution Regions available in secondary page. It would be great if any one give idea as soon as possible.
    Thanks in advance.
Anyone did not come across this type of scenario?
    Thanks,
    Ramesh

The secondary page is used to display a specified content item. One content item, specified on demand. Only one. Period.
If you want to assign multiple content items to multiple regions, well you're talking about primary pages.

  • Attempting to install a compiled 8.6.1 package fails with "NI Variable Engine (higher version already installed)

This is long as there are a collection of details I thought would be useful.  Please bear with me.
I have a VI compiled with LV 8.6.1 PDS.  The installer ran on the development machine and it works fine there (WinXP SP3).
Was handed a laptop (another WinXP SP3) that already had LV 7.0 (academic) on it.  Someone was fiddling with an old version of LV.  OK.
Wanted to uninstall 7.0 so there would be a clean field for the program compiled under LV 8.6.1.
So: Start --> Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs and uninstalled "National Instruments Software".  That went smoothly.  It wanted a reboot.  Fine.
Ran the setup program in my package, the one I'd wanted to install.  No errors.  The following installers were included with the Build:
      * NI LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 8.6.1
      * NI Measurement & Automation Explorer 4.5
      * NI DAQmx 8.8
By the way, this generated an installation package of "almost" 900 megabytes.
Connected the hardware (one ethernet-based, another RS-232 based).  Started the program, "EDGAR2".
    First error:
Unable to locate the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine.
EDGAR2 requires a version 8.6.1 (or compatible) LabVIEW Run-Time Engine.  Please contact the vendor of EDGAR2 to correct this problem.
    (This is Error1.JPG, attached).
A check of C:\National Instruments\Shared\LabView Run-Time\8.6 shows that there is only one item in that directory: a sub-directory named "errors".  That's it.  If the executable is looking for something in the 8.6 directory, well, there's nothing there.
Uninstalled EDGAR2 using the Control Panel.  Reinstalled.  Same problem.
Downloaded the standalone LabVIEW Run-Time 8.6.1 installer, Standard Edition, from NI's site, unpacked, and ran the setup.exe from that package.
There is one box with a green checkmark in it:  NI Variable Engine .
Click Next.  Up pops a pane and Error2.JPG is attached.  It won't continue because the "detected" version of Variable Engine is of a higher revision.
The "Next>>" button is grayed out.
Uninstalled EDGAR2 again.  But there was no entry in the Windows uninstall panel for uninstalling any National Instruments software.  This raised a flag in my mind and NI Support was telephoned.
With the Support Guy running Google searches for relevent topics (I'd done some of that, too), a number of things were tried.. ending up with deleting everything in C:\Program Files\National Instruments while in Safe Mode, everything in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\National Instruments, going through the Windows Registry with REGEDIT, uninstalls and attempted reinstalls.  Nope, nothing worked.  That defective Variable Engine seems glued into the system
The application can't find the 8.6.1 run-time because it doesn't exist.  It doesn't exist because both the standalone and built-in installers see a Variable Engine of a higher version installed and apparently won't install over it.  There is no uninstall for any NI software in the Windows Control Panel --> Add/Remove pane and so I can't seem to get rid of this Variable Engine.
At this point, the Support guy says, "Time to reimage your computer.  Call us for anything else.. you know we're here for you."
This is the first trouble I've had installing a compiled VI.  All other packages built with 8.6.1 PDS just slid right in.
There's been a LOT of software installed on the target over the years and going on the proverbial "scavenger hunt" to locate all of the installation disks will be a time-consuming task (a week is a conservative estimate).  Is there a solution to this problem?  Where are the installers "looking" for the Variable Engine revision level?  Is there a specific Registry key that can be adjusted?
Went looking through the WinXP Event log.  No errors are popping up there.
    Your time is appreciated.

    Hi Mark,
I'm sorry to hear your having trouble installing the LabVIEW 8.6.1 Run-Time Engine.  It sounds like there could be a few problems going on here.  First, you should have more options when installing the Run-Time Engine than just the Variable Engine.  If you uncheck the Variable Engine, does it try to install anything?  Second, not being able to install the Variable Engine suggests that there may be something wrong with your registry.  If you removed all National Instruments keys when cleaning the registry, then this shouldn't be a problem.
At this point, there are a couple things I would suggest.  Unfortunately, the best solution would probably be to reformat.  It sounds like some low level parts have been corrupted and this would be the quickest way to fix everything for sure.  Other than that, you can try installing the full 8.6.1 Development System on the computer.  This will install the Run-Time Engine on the computer.  You can simply not activate the software, which means you won't be able to edit anything.  You will be able to run the program, though.

I wonder the Format Tables macros on my site could be adapted?

If not, I have used Macro Express to format tables in Rh. No reason it could not be used in Word.
