Advanced Datagrid from a MySQL DB

Hi,
I want to create a tree like structure by reading data from a MYSQL DB, using PHP. How can I do this?

Flex already has a Tree component. If you want something different then you'll have to extend the Tree component and add the additional features or build one from scratch so it will fit your needs perfectly.
EDIT: In case I didn't understand you right then a tree like structure can always be achieved with XML.

Hi All,
Here is the scenario, assume that i have some 10 records in
DataGrid/Advanced DataGrid .I have selected 4th record and when i

myself got the solution for re-arranging the datagrid items
by using the pre-defined properties of DataGrid.
I can also get the index number of Items while start dragging
but the problem is how do i get the index number where the Items
dropped.

Grouping of Data in Advanced Datagrid

Hii,
I need to group the data in advanced datagrid. I used the Grouping collection class, but it it not working.
My advanced datagrid has column groups...so will this have any impact on grouping.

PS I might have complicated the query a little in trying to get the formatting as you had requested but the principle is simple
First group by the day, so that all events of one day can be compared together, then extract the hour portion of each of those dates and divide by 2 and use the quotient of the division as a grouping factor.
eg
from hours
00-02 the quotient is 0 (2 is taken as 1:59:59)
02-04 the quotient is 1 (4 is taken as 3:59:59)
and so on

I have contacted developers and they told me that column

the corresponding columnIndex in the function by comparing the

SortcompareFunction is not working properly for more than 1 column in advanced datagrid

I am using an advanced datagrid with groupingCollection.
I have more than 1 grouped column. How ever I am using 2 sort compare function to sort date and time.
The problem is when I am trying to sort date its workinf properly then when I jump to time column its not working and sorting few rows only inside the column but not the entire column. samething happen when I sort time first and the date is not sorting.

In our application we tend to use views to return appropriate values for a particular user.
For example (we do building inspections) the publication item sql is like
select * from inspection_sites where id in (select site_id from v_pda_bi_sites where bi_id=:bi_id)
The view acts like a dynamic parameter table (in this cases looks at experience level, status of sites, and responsibility allocations). Once the driving views are tuned this works quite efficiently, and as the dependant tables for the publication item automatically includes all of the tables in the driving view, the object gets refreshed if there is any change to any of them, even if the site details themselves have not changed

Get an item at a particluar position in Advanced Datagrid

I want to access some property of an item lying at nth position in an advanced datagrid. I was not able to find any method which can return me this result. getChildAt method returns display objects of the adv DG and not the items in it. Also numChildren poperty returns number of display objects and not the number of rows.

You MUST get it from the dataProvider. That is the only place the data exists. You can use the DataGrid events to return the row and column indexes into the dataProvider item.
Or you can get a reference to the renderer, and then get to the dataprovider item through the data property. Or through your own property if it is a custom renderer.
But one way or another, you must get to the dataProvider item.
I do not recall the syntax, look into the dataGrid events in the docs.

Advanced Datagrid GroupingCollection of flat data (XMLLISTCollection) while sorting throws exception

     Iam using AdvancedDatagrid inorder to group the flat data populated from the backend through BlazeDS. Result data will be in xml format and i have converted it to xmllistcollection and assigned to the grouping collection source. Flat data is grouped by one of the attribute called 'Name' and refreshed after data has been populated.
Data structre used as input is: WIth this structure, iam grouping by the field 'Name'.

Grouping is done as expected. We have additional functionalities like soring / seraching of the result set. Either one is working fine. Other functionality throws excpetion mentioned below.
When any of the advanced datagrid grid column header is clicked for sorting, it throws exception. I have pasted the exception below for reference.

Advanced Datagrid error in Flex 2

I copied the source of Advanced Datagrid and the related
classes from Flex Moxie SDK into my personal project and changed
the package name etc. wherever required. Now I don't get any
compile time error. But I get runtime error as

Mx_internal_uid problem with advanced datagrid

I have a XML structure like this:

<Tehtava ....attributes />
<Tehtava ...attributes />
</Projekti>
<Projekti...>
...etc
And I'm populating advanced datagrid with this hierarchial
data, so I can get a tree view in datagrid where there is Projekti
-nodes and inside them is the Tehtava-nodes.
Problem:
When I bind the XML, and the hierarchialdata (that is created
from the XML) flex automatically adds
<mx_internal_uid>a324235351514......</mx_internal_uid>
-nodes inside of the Projekti-nodes. And this causes empty folders
added in a tree view when user clicks them.
Is there a simple way to:
a) prevent thos uid-nodes being created?
b) filter thos <mx_internal_uid>-nodes out from the
dataprovider of the advanced datagrid?

I know this is way after-the-fact, but I just ran into this problem myself today. I found that it generated the mx_internal_uid if the node I was selecting was an XMLList instead of XML. A simple cast fixed the problem.
P.S. "And this causes empty folders added into a tree view when user clicks on them." makes perfect sense when you're using the XML inside a <mx:Tree>. As soon as you select the item (whether by clicking or programmatically), you get extra nodes in the tree.

This is a great exercise to get familiar with LabVIEW's array functions. A great place to start is actually the LabVIEW help on arrays, located here:

Depending on your data format, you can probably use the Read From Spreadsheet File VI to bring your data into a 2-d array. You could then use the index array VI to pull your column out. You could do this in a For loop and use Autoindexing to build your 1,000 column resulting array. I would leave everything as a String format until I'm done.
This doesn't sound like a very difficult task. Good luck!

Efficiently retrieve MANY records with Advanced Datagrid?

Hi all,
I've encountered the following issue:
I have a database with more then 120.000 records, that I want to show with an advanced datagrid.
It's grouped by 2 ID's, thus showing the results a group within a group. This works perfect!
Only: it takes a long time before it shows the results, probably because it's downloading all the records at once (with the getAll() function).
Is there a way to use advanced datagrid more efficiently? Like: first download the two columns that are used to define the groups, and only retrieve data that's visible once you click the group? (In this case, the 2nd group within the 1st group)
This would greatly increase the loading-time of the whole application.
Or should I take an other aproach to this application, like, using a tree-component, a simple datagrid, writing alternative update & retrieve functions in AS3 & PHP?

User with administrators rights cannot change printer properties on "Advanced" tab from "Devices and Printers" on Windows Server 2012 R2.
If to launch "Devices and Printers" on server, all printer properties on "Advanced" tab are inactive (see screen below).
But I can change it manually with "Print Management". Features become active.
The main purpose - to uncheck "Enable advanced printing features" with powershell
scripts.

I've tried to runs PS Script both locally and remotely, previously running Powershell ISE as Administrator.
I've noticed interesting thing - if to
check "Enable advanced printing features"
manually thru Print Management snap-in, script works fine. But, time to time after some manipulations on print server, this advanced feature returns to enabled state automatically by system, I think. In this case PS Script does not work. Next, if to disable
feature manually again (thru Print Management snap-in),
and enable manually again, PS Script will work. Very strange situation.

Advance payment from clients Model 340 ( report RFIDESM340)

Hi gurus.
i have a problem with my tax declaration for Spain ( model 340)
The thing is that i would like to declarate in this report my advance payment from clients.
The correct form to do it in Spain in to declarate them at the date of receiving in positive and at the date of the delivery of the machine to declarate the in negative.
How could i solve my problem?
