Advanced Search Help in PCUI & adding fields to SRES screen structures

I have linked the application COMM_IBASE to the POST_CODE1 field in CRMM_ACCOUNT (SRES area - field group ACC_SRES_CITY). When the user clicks the drop-down icon next to the post code field, a new window opens which shows COMM_IBASE.
We use our IBase to hold locations/addresses.
Is it possible to set up the system such that on selection of an IBase component, relevant address fields of that component are sent back to corresponding fields in the calling application, CRMM_ACCOUNT? Namely, Post code, street, city, country, region? I think my problem might be that these fields are not available in the screen structure of the COMM_IBASE Search Results area (CRMT_BSP_IBASE_RESLIST). How should you go about extending this structure? I can't see how it can be done using the EEW in the way you would extend, say, a service order.
I have the cookbook in front of me, but am finding sections 6.1.3.2/3 a little reticent here.

I solved it.
It wasn't too complicated, either, so I suspect my difficulty was down to me being totally unfamiliar with the PCUI (I usually do ICWC development) and this being the first PCUI requirement I have ever been given to work on.
Anyhow, if any other newbies are interested in how I implemented advanced F4 help to integrate searching of an IBase of addresses with postcode field of BP creation, then please reply to this post and I will give details.

Hi Priya,
In the Screen Layout, Double click on the field on which you wish to attach the search help.
In the properties window you can specify the search help for that field.
Search help for Material No. is MAT1.
You can find it in the Table structure (SE11) , "Entry help/check" tab.

PCUI 4.0, Search Help Required for New field

Hi everyone
I am working in CRM 4.0 Sales Order application
We created a new field in CRM sales Order in Header level in SAP GUI through EEWB.
The search help for the new field is working fine in SAP GUI. We want to add the same field with F4 help functionaliity in PCUI as well.
The field has been added in structure CRMT_BSP_SLS_OD1_General. It also shows domain value for the field however Origin of input field ie empty
The field has been added in PCUI and is successfully showing data inputted in SAPGUI
However we need search help functionality for the field
i tried these two steps
1) i checked on domain value checkbox and changed the field from input to dropdown. However the dropdown is empty in PCUI. Whenever i check box domain values for some field then all the possible values in SPA GUI are displayed in PCUI, however this is not working here.
2) I put Value_table in F4 of the field
This is also throwing up empty values
Am i missing something in this case
Please let me know how to go about it

Thanks for your response
I am not sure what is meant by regenerating the field group in this case
I added the entries for my view in the field group and generated the layout of the field group (If this is what you mean)
The field is working fine. I am able to save values to the field and able to see values saved in GUI.
I haven't linked search help of the field in PCUI
I am not sure how to go about it.
I used the data element in the structure for the field.
The data element has Domain entry in <b>Entry Help/Check</b> of the structure
If i check the Domain Value checkbox in my field group then the domain values should be available in dropdown if the field is dropdown
However i am not able to see the possible values of the field (It is present in SAP GUI)
Does something else needs to be done in this case

thanks for your reply, perhaps I should clarify my question:
1) I have a custom field in an infotype
2) I have a table containing the search help information
3) I assigned a search help to the custom field
4) I have activated a search help exit
The problem is that the information that I get from the custom field is not sufficient for making the selection. Therefore, I would like to somehow get hold of the addition information, such as BEGDA, ENNDA, MOLGA, to do a proper selection in the search help exit. How can I achieve that?
I read something about function module DYNP_VALUES_READ -would it be possible to call this function module from my search help exit and thereby reach my goal?

SRM Portal - Search help for a custom field

Hi,
I have added a custom field to the SRM Portal (5.0) shopping cart, by adding the field to structures INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF_SC.
However, I need to filter the search help for that custom field, based on values & relationships stored in a Z table.
Is this possible? How? Please help.

Currently, my idea would be to create a search help for the custom field & filter the values in a search help exit. However, would I be able to get other field values (standard) from SRM into my search help exit?

Calling the advance search help using f4 help

I have a question.In Items assignemnt blcok of the opportunity page for product ID field there is an f4 help associated with it. When we click on f4 help it will open the standard product serach in a popup where we can serarch for the products. and select the product from results.
But my requirment is to call the advance search help of the products instead of standard serch help in the popup when we click f4 help and should beable to save the searches and retrive the saved sercahes.

Automatic population of search help value to another field in module pool

I am developing a module pool screen, in which i have a table control field with fields PERNR and ARBPL along with other fields.
I have to give a search help for Pernr first field for which i have given a search help with the use of PM02 search help, given in the screen field level, in the same search help there is another field ARBPL, when the pernr is selected i have to get the corresponding Arbpl field value in the search help hit list and pass it to my field arbpl in my table control.
I tried with POV event as well with FM f4if_field_value_request but the return structure always filling one value only PERNR.
Is there any chance to get the both field values from the search help.

However, the segment Java applet calls a CRM class which has related code and methods.
Class: CL_CRM_MKTTG_SEGAP_COM
Package: CRM_MKTTG_SEG_APPLET.

The search help for the payment terms is not coming from the DDIC search help..
It is coded in the process on value-request event...
The function module FI_F4_ZTERM is called for this..you have to change this function module in case if you want the values from a different table..
OR do implicit enhancement in the subroutine FORM HELP_ZTERM in the include MF02DFH0 to call your search help instead of the function module FI_F4_ZTERM ..And do the same for the sales order also..

Dynamic Search Helps In An Input Field

          I need to populate an input field with different search helps based on the user action i.e when user selects "Audit" i hav to show the audit search help for my input field, when he selects "Audit Plan" i would hav to show audit plan search help.

You can APPEND your own search help to an SAP field that has search help defined. This is similar to APPENDing fields to an SAP table. But since field KONZS does NOT have any search help assigned, this option is not available to you.
You can also attach the search help to a field on a screen, i.e. limit the scope to that single screen, but this would still require a modification to the system, and hence, an access key. If you want to follow that route, the program name is SAPMF02K, screen 120, element list tab, references tab, search help column.
If you find another way to do this without an access key, please let us know.

Add search help to IT0006-PSTLZ field

Hi gurus,
what is the procedure of creating a search help for a standard field IT0006-PSTLZ?
Where should I do code implementation?
Possible search help selections should display Z table entries of local postal codes.
Selection of search help entry for PSTLZ should automatically fill P0006-ORT01 that is part of search help (Z table).

I've already created Z table and search help, but have no ideas on how to linki it with IT0006.
Is there any way to avoid changing standard?
I'm new to enhancements and BAdi, so i'm not sure how to proceed on this one...
Where should this functionality be implemented?
Of course the change to the infotype should only be done in our country specific screen.
Since SAP does not provide this customer requirement by standard, we have to manually speed
up customer data entry and avoid input errors.
