Mohammed SleemConnection pooling.
Making sure that your Java code gets a Connection out of the pool only when it's needed, perform the SQL interaction, and then immediately release the Connection back to the pool. Keep the Connection time and scope as narrow as possible.
If your load is truly that large, you might want to think about clustering and failsafe operation for the database.

  • Payment advice required on ACH file to bank

    Hi Folks,
My client have a requirement to add payment advice to ACH payment file to bank. I'm generating the DME file (ACH payments ) correctly and are able to print payment advices. I want the payment advice to be added to the DME file; When, I unchecked the
the print control for printing payment advices, the payment advices are not added to the ACH or DME file.
If I check the flag "individual payment" on vendor master ( means separate payment for each invoice), then the payment advices are added as a separate record on the payment file. However, we don't want individual payment for each invoice in the case of multiple invoices to the same vendor.
Does any anyone have any idea how to fix this? I search for an OSS note but didn't find any.
    Thanks for your help.
    Tony

    Hi Tony
Acc to my knowledge, usually we would maintain an advice note against an invoice like a reference. So Std SAP might not able to pick that adivce for multiple invoices. Which might be correct.
I would suggest you take the help of an ABAPer to see from where it picks up the data during the individual payment and if that same field is getting  populated during the multiple (which might not be happening).
Please, correct me if my understanding of the process is wrong.

  • Advice required fo new SSD/HDD setup and OS/App re-install

    Hi,
Over the last few weeks my HDD has been failing verification (4 times in the last fortnight ). I have used both Disk Utility and DiskWarrior to repair the drive and each time the outcome has been successful, only to have Verify Disk report errors a few days later.
I therefore decided to get a new drive. I've gone for a Crucial M-4 256GB SSD. However, as I do a lot of database work (MySQL mainly), I don't want to hammer the SSD with lots of writes. So I have also bought a WD 500GB hard disk (5,400rpm) together with a caddy for installing it into the DVD space. The caddy comes with an external enclosure so that i can slot my DVD drive into there instead and continue to use it via USB.
System details: MacBook Pro 6,2 mid-2010, i5 2.53 Ghz, 4GB DDR3, both internal and additional gfx card, matt hi-res screen, OS X 10.6.8, Time Machine on Iomega external firewire drive
In my mind, I will be allocating the following to each drive:
    SSD - primary drive:
    OS X 10.6.8
All my Apps and Utilities, documents etc
    HDD - secondary drive:
    MySQL data files
    OS X swap file
    Windows 7 partition
    Questions:
    1. Does this sound like a valid setup - ie is it doable?
    2. Will the SDD automatically be picked up as the primary drive when OS X boots?
    3. How best to install OS X? Should I do a system restore from Time Machine or take this opportunity to reinstall from scratch? Time spent on this is not a major issue as I have a backup latop to work on in the meantime
    3. Can I actually install Win7 on a secondary drive with Bootcamp or would it need to be on the primary SSD?
    4. If I can install Win7 onto the HDD, will that Win7 partition be bootable from Parallels 7? I've heard some people have difficulty with this using VMWare
    5. Is it worth having the swap file on the secondary drive or should I leave it on the SSD?
    6. If I upgrade to Lion/Mountain Lion, will the full disk encryption work with an SSD?
    7. I know that I need to go into the DVD app to edit the path to the DVD drive form 'internal' to 'external'. However, does anytone know if games that require the drive to be inserted also work with external drives? Not a big deal if not as I only have 1 of these left.
    Any additional advice most welcome
    Thank you.

Use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone the present boot drive to a blank external drive, you can hold the option key and boot off this drive.
Option key or c key boot off the 10.6 install disk and use Disk Utility to Repair the internal drive, preferablly to Erase with Security Option Zero all Data, this will assist in mapping off bad sectors on the drive likely responsibel for your problems.
Reinstall 10.6 fresh and use the same log in name as before, Software update fully and install programs from original sources and lastly files from the clone.
Your drive should be fine after this, if it's still having problems then it's very likely a mechanical issue and needs to be replaced.
The caddy comes with an external enclosure so that i can slot my DVD drive into there instead and continue to use it via USB.
You can't boot or install OS X/Windows from a external optical drive is what I understand, so you will have to plan around that issue with bootable clones, Winclone etc.
Clones can be booted from and reversed cloned onto new internal drives, in a lot shorter time and safer than TimeMachine restores.
note: intalling a drive in the  optical slot is a violation and disqualification of warranty/AppleCare
Time Machine on Iomega external firewire drive
TimeMachineo only restores, it's not a bootable clone drive.

    SSD - primary drive:
    OS X 10.6.8
All my Apps and Utilities, documents etc
    HDD - secondary drive:
    MySQL data files
    OS X swap file
    Windows 7 partition
    Questions:
    1. Does this sound like a valid setup - ie is it doable?
No, Windows BootCamp will have to go on the same boot drive as OS X.
The swap file of OS X should be on the SSD for speed, yes it will wear it out, but it employs wear leveling and likely by the time the SSD wears out your going to be buying a new machine anyway.
So on the SSD, OS X, Windows, Programs, basic user folders. This way if the hard drive has issues your up on the SSD.
On the hard drive place new folders with data there, like a storage drive.
    2. Will the SDD automatically be picked up as the primary drive when OS X boots?
You set either Windows or OS X as the Startup Disk in System Preferences, and it is the only boot drive.
With OS X/Windows which you select which partition to boot from using the option key at boot.
You could also go with virtual machine software if your hardware demands with Windows isn't great or you can do both.
Windows in BootCamp or Virtual Machine?
    3. How best to install OS X? Should I do a system restore from Time Machine or take this opportunity to reinstall from scratch? Time spent on this is not a major issue as I have a backup latop to work on in the meantime
Scratch and only return files manually, no restores or migrations. This way your free of corrupted data.
How to erase and install Snow Leopard 10.6
    3. Can I actually install Win7 on a secondary drive with Bootcamp or would it need to be on the primary SSD?
    SSD primary.
    4. If I can install Win7 onto the HDD, will that Win7 partition be bootable from Parallels 7? I've heard some people have difficulty with this using VMWare
VM software of Parrallels and VMFusion can copy the BootCamp Windows and uses it as a file in OS X, which one can save snapshots of that virtual machine file, especially useful for malware and only updating pristine copies of Windows so your not pwned.
    5. Is it worth having the swap file on the secondary drive or should I leave it on the SSD?
SSD for speed, it's extra space for memory and the faster it is the better for your computer,
If your in the box, might as  well max the RAM, that's even faster.
    6. If I upgrade to Lion/Mountain Lion, will the full disk encryption work with an SSD?
Yes, but Filevault has serious drawbacks, first it does slow down your CPU as it has to encrypt and decrypt everything on the fly.
If you have trouble with your machine, you can't easily access the Filevaulted drive to recover files.
If you have some sensitive data, you should be using a Iron Key self encrypting USB or a similar external drive (has it own keypad or key), because johhny law, customs and Apple will need the password to search or fix your machine.
With the sensitive data on a external source, then you can use it with any machine.
If you want to keep your speed up, not have to buy all new versions of software and some third party hardware as there are no drivers, I suggest you stick with 10.6 on that machine, it will be around for quite some time.
    http://roaringapps.com/apps:table
10.8 on new hardware is coming, decide then or when 10.9 rolls out, don't torture yourself with 10.7 on older hardware in my opinion.
does anytone know if games that require the drive to be inserted also work with external drives? Not a big deal if not as I only have 1 of these left.
Most games I know install and have their own copy protection not requiring a disk being inserted as it wears out that way also won't work with machines that don't have optical drives.
However I suspect if it has that sort of content protection that it won't work on external optical drives.
Likely a game that old won't work on 10.7 nor 10.8 anymore anyway, so you will have to give it up.
Be warned that 10.7 can cost you more money in upgraded software, PPC based programs of old will no longer work. Also drivers for older third party hardware, so beware before you upgrade.
CS5 doesn't work too well on 10.7 neither, so you'll have to go to CS6 for instance.

  • Document storage advice required

    Good day,
Our developers are doing a project that involves processing Purchasing Invoices that have been scanned and converted to PDF. They are using ArchiveLink and at the moment are storing these documents directly in the database. They(developers) were under the impression they were simply linking the documents from the file system but I don't think that is correct. It is still under development.
Anyway, to cut a long story short I would just like to know if there are any other implications to storing approximately 2000 x 130kb PDF documents on average per month in a ERP database ? I know it will eventually effect our backups and restore times but as far as MaxDB is concerned is the database usually configured in a specific way to handle this kind of thing like on Content Management Server ?
I would like them to move the documents to Content Management Server or a 3rd party solution like ImageNow and just need some advice.
    Many thanks.
    Regards,
    Nelis

After doing some more research I came across notes 653774 which states "..file repositories have been eliminated as of Basis Release 6.10. If a file repository is used in a live system, the data can no longer be addressed after a release upgrade to Basis Release 6.10 (or later version)." ...so that will prove helpful
Also note 595663 gives information on using ArchiveLink with database storage and mentions it should only be used with smaller datasets, for production SAP Content Server should be used.
This more or less gives me the info I require.
I'm still curious to know whether MaxDB is specifically setup differently on Content Server to handle large volumes of binary documents ?

    Hi,
I want to create a jni bridge in order to open a player in a java Frame. This player works fine in a mobile native application.

    Hello Brian,
the client technology is based on web dynpro, but it runs in an own Mobile Client. Therefore you do not need the internet browser for the application.
During the client development you can use the web dynpro tools to design the layout and the screen flow of your application. In the last step you can deploy the application to your mobile client and run it without a browser.
The mobile client includes a web dynpro runtime to display the data. Therefore you do not need a J2EE server in order to run an application.
The mobile occasionally connected scenario provides a api to access the local database. NetWeaver Mobile 7.1 for PDA supports two different databases:
    1. MinDB ( from SAP, included no additionals license fee required )
    2. DB2E
NetWeaver Mobile includes a complete queing mechanism.
You can also take a look into two eLearnings which provide a good technical overview:

Unfortunetly there is no fixed timeline for WM6.But I guess this will be available soon.
I'm afraid but also don't know of any fixed timeline regarding Adobe Interactive forms.
The architecture of NetWeaver Mobile 7.1 is pretty new and full of great new functionalites. The User Interface for NetWeaver Mobile 7.1 uses eSWT to render the UI elements.

  • Advice Required : Unusual website client request.

    Hello,
    This isn't a joke!
I have been asked by a client to build a website that satisfies the following criteria.
    1. All webpages must end with .html
    2. The webpages must not require any particular web technology behind the scenes to work.
    3. It's fine if website requires javascript.
They have some good reasons for this.
    1. If all the webpages end with .html then any future change in backend technology would not adversely effect search engine indexing.
    2. Similar to 1 in that they don't want changes in back-end technology to require any significant change in the existing html.
I have a rough idea how to deliver this and I would welcome any advice or comments anyone may care to offer.
    My plan is to...
    1. Develop the server side of things using java - but not .jsp's
    2. Develop the client side of things using html and javascript so ending in .html
    3. Connect the server and client side using AJAX approach, so seperating client from server.
Is this a foolish approach or am I thinking along the right lines?
Is there a java technology I should use?
    Thanks

    Hello Steve,
    Thanks for your thoughts.
re: #2. They are more concerned that there (client-side) web pages are 'clean' of any (server-side) code. I think what they mean is that say their website was made using JSP/Servlets and then (for some reason) they wanted to switch to .NET, then they want (ideally) such a change to have almost zero impact on the client-side web pages. This could mean two things:
    1) The code sent to the client is pure HTML/Javascript
    2) The code that makes up the View is pure HTML/Javascript
If 1) then a full use of JSP is no problem, because JSPs generate regular HTML, nothing special about it.
But the JSP would be the View, so if they want 2) then you would not be able to use JSPs. You would end up doing a lot more work and use a lot more servlet code to do what essentially JSPs already do.
    >
Mapping .html as you suggest in order to continue using JSP's is really interesting. I have just set up a sandpit java web app using SSI filter mapped to .html, so that #include virtual="" can be used in the html to import headers, footers, nav links, javascript files, etc. Maybe your suggestion is a simpler approach?
What do you think?I think using JSPs for this is the better choice, because you get a lot more functionality and a lot simpler/easier to maintain code.
Coding for a maybe change to a completely different architecture is a nightmare. From the client perspective I agree, searched/bookmarked pages should the same, and with a well designed View layer, this is no problem. But the server-side should leverage the entire servlet architecture or is a waste.

  • Business logic in EO, VO - design advice required

    Hi all,
I'm looking for some design advice on the best way to approach this issue - or in fact advice that I'm making an issue out of something where it doens't need to be !
Lets say I have a single entity object called UsersEO. I have two view objects called NewUserVO and ExistingUserVO. I use the NewUserVO just for inserting new records and the ExistingUserVO for modifying existing records. When users are editing existing users, I need to provide a checkbox that indicates that when the record is saved, their password needs to be re-generated and emailed out to the user.
I want to include the check of the "GeneratePassword" attribute while processing the rest of my user business logic, in the doDML method of UsersEOImpl. From here I will call a database procedure that handles changing the password and emailing the user.
Initially I created a transient attribute "GeneratePassword" in ExistingUserVO but then to access this from within the UsersEOImpl.doDML would require me getting the AM from the transaction, and getting the current row of the ExistingUserVO. I believe that this is bad practice to access a VO from within a EO ?
Is my only option here to create the transient attribute "GeneratePassword" on the UsersEO and then include in the ExistingUserVO but not the NewUserVO ? That way I can easily access the "GeneratePassword" attribute from with the doDML without have to accessing the VO.
If I have 10 different VO's that require different attributes, it just seems strange to add 10 attributes to the underlying EO and then only include the relevant entity attribute in each VO - or is this exactly what I should be doing ?
On a slightly different note, but similar theme - if I had a "VOTransaction" attribute in my EO and I included this in each VO created from the EO - how would I set different values in this attribute for each VO so that within the EOImpl I would know which VO was triggering the entity validation ??
Many thanks for your help !
    Cheers,
    Brent

How about creating a BaseVO which extends EO (including transient attributes for password change and voName/Type detail ) that provide a default value for voName/Type attribute and all other VO extending the BaseVO and overriding that attribute setter to specify the name/type?

  • Similar functionality to Google/Outlook Calendar advice required

    Hi all,
I have built an Apex app that is used to create jobs and assign them to an engineer. It is a straightforward app and we are now looking at adding some new functionality, specifically I have been asked to provide a diary type view of the jobs scheduled for each engineer to help with the allocation of new jobs.
I have tried the out of the box Calendar region in Apex and it isn't quite what I require and I was wondering if anyone had some advice and guidance that they could offer to help me out?
The easiest way to describe what I would like to achieve is a Day view similar to the Google Calendar interface, or Outlook Calendar, where you have the hours of the day down the side of the page and for each engineer their jobs that have been scheduled for that day is shown in a block that covers the time that the job has been scheduled from and to i.e. 9am - 10.30am.
I have searched this forum and the internet for something similar that I could adapt but have so far have not found anything, I love the example in this post:
however I think it is not quite what I require and is more advanced than my simple JavaScript skills could handle!
In order to visually illustrate what I have in mind, the following is a good example:
My data is structured pretty much as you would expect where there is a table of jobs with columns for job no, engineer, date start time & date end time, job description.
If anyone can provide me with some tips on how to achieve what I have explained, or even a different approach that you think would satisfy what I have discussed then I would really appreciate it.
    Best regards,
    Stu

I've found a work-around to this. I import the ICS event into "Calendar", then visit it in iPhone Calendar and change its calendar to Google Calendar, it then synchs properly.

  • Real help/advice required here:

My aunt (for sure).is with a company called "BE" who supplies her broadband for many years (she is 70+) and she has BT telephone contract for many years in her deceased husbands name (10yrs min) She is looking for advice, told me she spoke to many people over a period of time and they were not english speaking, ( that part I am aware of, foreign call centres)
She requires my help, asked me to get BT broadband for her, why, 'Cos she trusts me..
I am so afraid to move on this, in case I get in a position it all goes wrong, due to many negative feed backs I hear.
I am not really prepared to call "BT" and get knocked from piller to post by: press this number 1,2,3,4 etc and then go through all the rigamole to get a BASIC answer/outcome.
Is it really true that BT, Sky, Talk Talk, BE (who are they?) and others are more interested in thier profits than those, through no fault of thier own and being mostly in their vulnerable/advancing state/years are perperpually unaware they are paying, Cos they are not "savvy" whereas the forementioned companies have no intention of informing those who are vulnerable.
Side Note: Her husband has been dead for min10yrs and contract has and is in his name, she still pays the bills on this telephone contract
    Anyone any sincere advice
    Definately, not harmless but GENUINE
    Regards
    Jim

Not sure what your actual questions are here! She should expect the same speed with BT as she's getting now And after she gets the MAC code it'll take a couple of weeks to change over.
Most deals are 18 month contracts. BT has low, medium and high user packages so you may want to ask BE how much Internet she uses each month. If she signs up to a low user package and it turns out she is a high user, she will incur extra charges.
On the account name, they will be able to update it into her name if you want that to be done,

  • Advice required - interfacing with Worldpay

Just after a bit of advice as I'm not sure when the best time to save a transaction to the database would be.
The way I see it, from my ecommerce site I can persist the order to the database at two alternative points...
    1. Before payment is received (and set a status as draft), then once the payment callback is received set the status to 'processing'
    2. After the Worlpay payment has been made and the callback containing all additional shopping cart parameters received.
Anyone prefer one over the other? if so why?
The only downside I can see of the first method is that additional houskeeping would be required to remove any transactions with a status of 'draft' that have not received a payment after a day or two.
    Regards.

    Anyone any preference?

  • Conceptual advice required for file receiver scenario

    Hi,
My scenario is to read 3 sets of data from SAP ERP and write files on the receiver system, one per data set.
I could create 3 service interfaces and set up Integration Builder configuration for each one but this seems messy.
Alternatively, if I create one service interface with 3 operations to group them, it is not possible to create the required files unless I add mapping and use dynamic configuration to determine the filename from the payload and set this in the receiver communication channel.
It seems to me that I would have benefited from the ability to define a rule in the receiver determination to define a different communication channel per operation where the specific filename could be specified.
It is only possible to bind a service interface to one communication channel in the receiver agreement.
What would you recommend as the cleanest and best approach to meet this requirement - 1 or 3 service interfaces, use of mapping or are there any alternatives?
    Thanks in advance.

Basically your requirement is many to many mapping.  Please decide based on the sender system requirement. If your sender system sends different message structure then you can break into three diff interfaces and keep the interface simple.
You can route to three diff recievers based on the condition setting in the receiver determination or you can do in the mapping too. That is not the whole point. you need to think about how do pick the three different interfaces.  You might also consider using ccbpm for this.
Refer the pattern that comes in the PI standard installation under SAP BASIS  SWCV.

  • Vendor Scenario Advice required

We have MDM 55 sp3 and need to implement the vendor scenario. Can someone advice on how the following scenarios can be implemented :
    1. We have vendor groups in R3. Now whenever an attribute changes for any vendor, we need MDM to change that attribute for all vendors that belong to the same vendor group and syndicate the data back to R3.
Please advice the detailed steps for the same(we need information on the steps to configure MDM to change the attribute for all vendors of that group).
    2. Is it possible to dynamically pass a mask name from portal (MDM business package) and get data for that mask only back into the resultset iview of portal. Point to keep in mind is that we will always have the same user mapped and we need to pass the mask dynamically to the search iview.
    Any info would be appreciated
    Nirmal

    Hi Nirmal
The automation process can be achieved by both E-catt(SAP R/3)& Testpartner(Non-SAP). Kindly go thru the E-catt doc before proceeding.
    <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/1b/e81c3b84e65e7be10000000a11402f/frameset.htm">E-catt</a>
E-catt basically talks about the scripts where we can record the sessions and customize the same for both Import & Export parameters and we can call Test partner scripts also.
    Steps to be followed...
    1. Install both E-catt & TestPartner in ur machine
    2. Start recording the SAP R/3 part in the e-catt editor and do the customization for the parameters..(Vendor group, attribute values)
    3. Test partner script can be created in the e-catt environment itself, as a external tool.
    4. Refer the Test partner script in the e-catt script.
    hope this might helps...
    cheers
    Alexander
Note:Pls reward the points, if found solved ur problem.

  • Advice Required Please

    Hi,
I would be grateful if anyone could advise on the following :
    i) A client that I have is new to Oracle Application Express. What is the
considered practice as regards setting up workspaces for a set of developers
i.e. should one workspace be set up for each of the users to access or should
a workspace be set up for each user?
ii) If a customer wants to start creating applications, should they do so within a
newly created schema (of their choice) or should they use e.g. Hr?
iii) Where can I find the 'ctx' related password as regards the step in the
installation guide concerned with the Oracle Text requirement?
iv) In some older documentation (Apex v2.2 installation) concerned with the
installation of the HTTP Server on a Linux box, it mentioned about the fact that
the rc.local file in the /etc directory should be amended with appropriate values
in order to re-enable the restart of the HTTP Server in the event of a server
reboot - is that the general approach these days for v3.0.1 on that hardware?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
    Kind Regards,
    Tom

    i) Are the developers working on the same application? If so, you would want to set up one workspace. Accessing applications across workspaces from a central location can be tricky if not near impossible.
ii) The schema in which to create applications depends on how the database is going to be accessed. For example, our data warehouse site is using VPD, so we have our main schema DWRP where the data resides and the Application Express uses a schema called DATA_SCHEMA where the VPD functions are applied.

  • File Upload / Download - Advice Required

    Hi all,
This is really just a general question, looking for advice.
I have downloaded and successfully used the File Upload PJC for Forms 6i - thanks Oracle.
We are looking to use this to download and upload files from or to the client machine, and I am (relatively) confident of reversing the Java components to allow this to happen.
However, we are actually looking to transfer the files from the client machine, to the 9iAS Tier and then to the UNIX (AIX) tier where the database (8.1.7.4) resides - and vice versa.
I have considered a couple of different approaches :
    1. Run the Java Server component in the Database JVM to enable the writing/reading of files on the UNIX filesystem.
    2. Use TEXT_IO on the 9iAS tier, and UTL_FILE on the Database Tier, to move files between the two tiers.
    3. Write the files to / from the Database, and then from/to there into the UNIX filesystem.
Does anyone have any expereince of attempting to implement a similar solution, or information on Oracle documentation explaining any of the above.
Plus, I'm sure I must be missing a trick !
    Any other ideas ??
    Regards
    Marc Ludwig

We have build a similar solution,
    for the download:
we use the pl/sql gateway to send the file to the client with the following function:
    wpg_docload.download_File(lob_loc);
you could build a pl/sql procedure that accepts an id and selects the blob locater and
triggers this function. the procedure can be called by setting the configuration in your DAD correctly.
that way its easier then rebuilding the whole fileupload utility.
in the webforms you can have a code that opens a new window with an url you give.
the url will point to the pl/sql function and you can pass the id of the record you want to get the blob from.
for the upload to your database:
well, we chose to loose the zip functionality and modify the pl/sql library that comes with it.
instead of using the uploadserver class, you could build a pl/sql function in the database that
accepts the varchar32 strings (which are base64encoded chunks of your file) and appends them to a blob.
the function that could do that would look like:
PROCEDURE APPEND_DATA(P_ID IN NUMBER, P_DATA IN VARCHAR2) IS
    bin_data blob;
    append_data blob;
    raw_data raw(16384);
    BEGIN
    dbms_lob.CREATETEMPORARY(append_data,true);
    dbms_lob.OPEN(append_data,DBMS_LOB.LOB_READWRITE);
    select binary_data into bin_data from ibs_physical_doc where id=P_ID for update;
    raw_data:= utl_encode.BASE64_DECODE(utl_raw.CAST_TO_RAW(p_data));
    dbms_lob.write(append_data, utl_raw.LENGTH(raw_data),1,raw_data);
    dbms_lob.APPEND(bin_data,append_data);
    dbms_lob.CLOSE(append_data);
    COMMIT;
    END;
you can increase the chunksize a bit more.
you still have a problem btw that you probably cant upload more then 4-8 mb before you get an out of memory error on the client.
you could solve that by rewriting the client java file to send the file piece by piece on request by the server instead of all the pieces after eachother, and first read a piece of the file and then encode that piece and then send it instead of reading the whole file, encoding it and sending the chunks.
Another option is to use the standard upload possibilties with web pl/sql, and open a new browser window to that window from forms. A drawback of that is that it is not integrated in the web forms program and that you cant see when the upload is finished (no callback). and that you are bound to the default table layout.
one final thing, if you are going to use this, you might want to take a look at using JInitiator 1.3.1.9 if you arent using it already this automaticly sets the signature in the clients database if he accepts it. there is a bug in it, look for it somewhere in this forum. if you are using the sample that comes with forms 6i you will have to replace the fileuploadprogressbar with the one that comes with the forms 9i sample and recompile everything and i think you will have to use JDK1.3.1_03 for that. that means that you will have to modify the make batch file. the command for compiling is different, the classpath is an option when you call javac, also you will have to sign it with jarsigner.exe (in the jdk) instead of the one in the example.
Hope this info is helpfull, if you like to have more specific code, mail me at [email protected]

  • Payment advice required for 3 items

    Hello,
At the moment, a payment advice is created for a vendor if >10 items will be paid.
Is it possible to create a payment advice when >3 items will be paid?
    Thank you.
    Kind regards,
    Linda

You can set this in customing,
TC F110 menu path Enviroment / Maintain config
    Pmnt method in company code.
    Select you payment method
go to the part Pyt adv ctrl.
I think you have only to change 10 to 3
This is customizing yoy have to change this in development and transport to the other systems

  • Performance advice required - creating images for a scrolling list view on Android

This is a question about how best to manage thumbnail images in an list view style app written in Actionscript 3 for Android.
I am building an app that uses a list view control to show lists of data.  As each list item appears on screen during a scroll through the list I create a thumbnail image to display in the list item cell.
Currently I am embedding the jpg thumbnails in actionscript and using mx.core.bitmapasset to get bitmaps on the fly.  On a live device this is unfortunately slowing things down - the smooth scrolling list jerks every time a new cell appears on screen.
There are probably going to be 500+ thumbnails but a list will only ever have about 150 items in it at any one time, of which only about 6 or 7 are onscreen at the same time.  The list view control is one that I have created myself in actionscript but I am pretty sure the thumbnail creation is the cause of the slowdown.  If I take out thumbnails the scrolling is smooth.  If I reuse the same thumbnail across all cells then scrolling is smooth too.  The component reuses cells as they disappear off one end of the list so there isn't much creation of objects going on.
I am running this in debug so it might be possible that in release things are better (maybe?).
Does anyone have any advice on how best to approach this problem of getting jpg assets available quickly?

    Hi,
I think you can use ContentCache here. See http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/spark/core/ContentCache .html. You need to create an instance of ContentCache and set the contentLoader property of your Bitmap object to this instance. You can control the number of cachedEntries by setting maxCacheEntries. The tutorial by Mihai Corlan http://corlan.org/?p=3106 shows how you can use it. I hope you find it useful.
    Thanks,
    Sanika
