Advice would be helpful

Question

I have been given a problem to solve and any advice would be brilliant.
I have to create a list of paper and book objects that will include a method to add a book or paper object.
The parameters are :
parameters Paper parameters Book
titleofPublication titleOfPublication;
Publisher; Publisher;
nameOfTitle; author
author; flag;
date;
I have been able to break this into a simple algorithm as follows
1. Constructor to intialise parameters for Paper
2. Set and get methods for these parameters
3. Create instantiation of Paper.
4. Create an array of paper called paperlist
5. Add instantiation of array
6. Inherit the properties of Paper to book ( the same parameters that are required for both)
7. Create an array for book called Booklist
8. Create an instantiation of book
9. Add instantiation of Book to array
10. Print out details of both arrays
I have done 1 and 2 as they are relatively simple. I have created the array or atleast declared it. The one problem I have is how to add an instantiation of Paper to the array called Paperlist.
Any ideas?

The parameter list in tidy form should read :
Paper
titleOfPublication;
publisher;
nameOfTitle;
author;
date;
Book
titleOfPublication;
publisher
author;
flag;
