Af:Commandbutton only listens to two Listeners?

Hi!
I've got a question. I just now tried to open a dialog with a commanbutton and tried to use the actionListener, the returnListener and the launchListener. But it didn't work.
So tried out what can be the problem for that. Then I thought that maybe only two Listeners will be occured for what resaon ever. And when put my code from the launchListener to the actionListener and only defined the actionListener and the returnListener on the commandbutton, the returnListener was executed again. And I was very happy.
But why is that so? Can a commandbutton only listen to two listeners? Or is there something more profound?
I would have understand if either the launchListener or the actionListener would be executed, but not that the returnListener in this case isn't executed. That really confused me.

I'm using the same JDeveloper Version, but I seem to be not that lucky, that you are.
So where can be the problem....Did you use a panelpage to test the listeners?

I don't get the point.
Listener don't hold connection but only redirect it to Instance, is the instance which create a session/process.
The use of listener is so small it's only for incoming connection, so after connection is established it is handled by Oracle Database process.
If you stop listener only incoming connection are affected, all current connection still alive on database.
1) ASM Connection is done only when someone try to connect at ASM remotely. It's pretty rare the use of it.
2) Does not matter if you are using ASM or DB Listener, ff you have a storm of connection incoming on its listener it should be avoided, in setting up the clients in a manner they don't open 100rds of connections at the same time - and with some listener.ora parameters.
Still see no reason to have two listener.

Oracle listener on two server

A question:
If I am setting up an oracle database test environment. I clone every from production server to another machine. If I did not change listener's IP or hostname, that is, if the listener.ora in the test env is same as the that in production, especially with the same hostname/IP and same SID. In this case, when client try to connect to oracle database in test environment, will the listener in test environment direct the client's request to the production environment because the listerner in test env point to the production? Or listener will just direct request to the local oracle service instead of direct request to the service in another machine (across network)?

Thank you for your response. And Yes, you are right, I did a test this morning, in test server, I modify the listener.ora file, let the hostname/SID point to another oracle database in another server, and restart the listener, I got the following error message:

And after I pointed it back, restart the listener, everything works well.
So I think a listener will only listener for the local oracle service, it will not point to database across network. If we setup test oracle dataase with same sid (even with same globle name) but in two diff machine( two diff IP), listener should not be got confused

Can't start two listeners at the same time

I am running Oracle 10g R2 on Solaris 10. I am getting the following error when I try to start my second listener "TNS-01106: Listener using listener name ccn_listener has already been started". There are multiple VIPA's assigned to the server, so I am trying to start two listeners at the same time (I can start each one separately). The different IP's are referenced in the listeners (even though they use port 1521), so there should not be a conflict. I also gave the two listeners distinct non-default names. The listeners are running under two differenct Oracle homes.

In Lion, Word for Mac only prints last two digits of year

In Snow Leopard, the automatic dates that auto fill in Word for Mac (08, 2011) worked fine...BUT since I 'upgraded' to Lion, (10.7.3) only the last two digits of the year will autofill, EVEN in full date mode...ie, SHOULD BE:
February 21, 2012
BUT auto filled as: February 21, 12

When I enter the weekday at the beginning of a sentence, the month, date and year are automatically filled in. ANSWER:
Its a bug in OSX.7 evidently MS has not rung up Apple and said hey get off your duff and fix this date issue. If you can find a place to send bug report to Apple do so.
So I checked the OSX Lion support site on apple.com and could not find an answer.
Does anyone know how to fix or how to get Apple to fix?

It's a bug, but whether it's a bug for Apple to fix or for Microsoft to fix is unknown. The thread you post is unauthoritative, being only comments by other users who have no more idea as to where the bug really lies (unless an Apple engineer has confirmed a Lion bug, something I've not seen) as any other user does; no one in that thread works for or speaks for either Microsoft nor Apple.

I have got the same behaviour after the last Safari Update to 5.1.3. It seems that Safari now handles some scripts in a new way. If you debug the Google Website, you will see, that there is some Javascript Error, that seems to prevent to write into local cache. After some searching I wasn't able to finde a solution for this problem, other then disabling Javascript while private browsing to prevent the script loading. You then are able to use Google with the old layout. The option to disable JavaScript can be found in the Menu "Developer", wich has to be enabled in Safari in the options first.
In my opinion this is a bug that is now occuring, because Apple changed something in private browsing and that has to be fixed by Google now, to run again. Or we will have to wait for 5.1.4, as you can read online Apple will change and bugfix the javascript engine in that version, perhaps this fixes the problem as well. I hope so!
If anyone is in the developer program perhaps you could test this with the beta of 5.1.4 and tell us if it works.

Only the first two episodes showing

When I do a search on my podcast in the iTunes Store, the show comes up fine but only the first two episodes are listed. When I click on the show image and go to the show page only those two show up, all four of the episodes are displayed in the other locations that follow the feed.
Does anyone know why this would happen?

Actually its really strange, the two missing episodes have been up for a while ( the most recent as of 3 days ago, the older about 12 days) and they never showed up. On a whim I decided to try to resubmit my feed address thinking that maybe I had giving it the wrong one by accident and was given the response that the feed was already taken. When I canceled out of it the new episodes showed up in iTunes. I don't know how but this seems to have prompted the system to recheck my feed and recognize that there were new items available.
Anyone know why this might be the case? Also, when I view it from the search panel only the first two episodes appear, when you open it by clicking on the image of out logo it shows all four. Any ideas on that? The podcast is called 3 Wise Woodies if you want to see what I mean about how it displays the episodes.

Clean install and migration of only one or two program

How does one do a clean install and migrate only one or two applications.

I don't believe there is a "clean install" on the Snow Leopard disk if you launch the install from your standard system boot. I believe you need to:
1) Put the SL disk in the machine drive.
2) Restart your machine.
3) Hold down the 'c' key during startup, to boot from the SL disk.
4) Once the system boots up, it starts the Snow Leopard install process. However, you have a menu bar where you can run several system utilities, such as Disk Utility.
5) Run Disk Utility and erase/reformat the main system harddisk. This will give you a "clean" disk to install Snow Leopard on.
6) After Disk Utility finishes, proceed with the install process.
7) After intallation of Snow Leopard, restore any apps/data you want from backups and/or original installation packages.

When I use my AE I can only listen for 1 min. music

When I use my AE to listen music of my Itunes,I can only listen to it for a few minutes. I've changed the channel of my AE but still the signal weakens after a certain time.
Maybe there are to many other signals that disturb the conection with my AE. I hope that somebody could help me because this is the mainreason for which I bought an AE.

You must have gotten an SSD in your mini, then: I didn't think of that initially.
While it is technically possible to mount an iPod and use it in disk mode to store an iTunes library, the iPod's drive is very slow and not designed for the sort of continuous use having it store your iTunes library would put it to, so I would not recommend using it as such. If you don't want to keep your library on the mini, use the external drive, or perhaps better buy another one to use for your library. You can pick up a 500GB USB drive for under $60 if you shop around.
BTW, marking your own post as being the one to solve your problem isn't a good strategy unless you did indeed find the solution yourself and do not need any further responses.

All of my Calendar information is on iCloud. Everything has been syncing fine on both iPhones 4s and iPad 2. Now however only the past two months are showing on my devices while all the information is on iCloud.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, scroll down to the Calendars section and change the sync option to something other than 'Events 2 month back'.

If i dont use the display when using the GPS and only listen to the voice instructions can that also makes the iphone overheat even if you dont use the display

When you use your GPS does your iPhone get hot enough to shutdown? The reason I ask is that I have run my GPS app with the screen brightness set to near max connected to power for hours. My iPhone got hot, but didn't shutdown.
