Af:inputDate with both date and time: modal popup forces validation
Hello,
I am using an af:inputDate with an af:convertDateTime type='both' (displaying date and time).
When the calendar popup is shown it's a modal popup. I guess it is because of the type='both'?
My problem is: when the modal popup is shown I get also the validation popup with errors (for example required fields) which is shown too.
Maybe someone could help?
Is there a way to force non-modal popup for this kind of calendar?
Is there a way to stop validation if I am already displaying another popup?

There is something wrong with the volumes buttons in my macbook pro, every time i pressed the one who raises the volume, it leads me to the screen where (i do not no what its called) the background is black with the date and time and a calculator. When I used download sets of photos, movies etc, (before I installed Lion) I used always get a "Download" gizmo which showed me the download happening with both speed and time left. Now with Lion, nothing shows on my screen. Can I fix this?
In Firefox Options / Privacy be sure "Remember download history" is checked. To see all of the options on that panel, "Firefox will" must be set to "Use custom settings for history".

Ftp get file with original date and time on one server to another server

I have successfully file copied from ftp server1 to ftp server2 but i cant get original file date and time.If anyone knows please help me...

When I try to change my date and time settings I get a Windows Security popup that reads: "These files can't be opened. Your Internet security settings prevented one or more files from being opened. C:\Windows\system32\rundll32.exe"
I have Windows 7 64 bit. I also have McAfee SecurityCenter installed. I have tried turning off my firewall temporarily, but the problem persists. I am not sure if it is some type of virus. If anyone could give me some information

I am using JDBC thin driver version 8.1.6. with oracle 8i and am unable to insert and update date & time in American format
(mm/dd/yyyy hh24:mi:ss).

Automator- create file names with creation date and time
I have photo files that I want to rename with a base name, plus a sequential number, based on the creation date (and ideally time). It appears that Automator does not honor the time of the source file when date stamping a new set of files. If there is anyway to use date + time so I can recreate a date_timestamp in addition to a base filename, that would be great.

Photo with wrong date and time in icloud
i tried to upload some old photo on icloud photo via PC (windows 7)
however the time of photos shown is 15 hours faster than it was capture.

"We do try to go into the DV packets during capture and pull out the original date of the capture that’s found in the bitstream.
However—The DV format spec does not require the original date be in the bitstream, and if it’s not there—we have no choice but to use the current date.
So, I can see how what you are describing could happen. Some of the footage has the date, and some doesn’t. If it’s there—it will be used, but we’re sometimes seeing it go missing." -
When restarting my macbook pro, all the options on the top right corner of the screen disappear ( battery life, Wifi, languages etc..) when i try to show them in system preferences once i click on network preferences the whole system preferences goes Not responding and i have to force quit it. the only way i found to bring them back is restarting my computer a number of times till they just come back alone. not sure what the problem is??? now i never shut down my computer cause i am worried i'll lose them again and for months i just put to sleep when i am done since nothing happens to them when its on sleep once i shut it down and turn it on again the same thing happens.

How can I have both date and time for a Date type variable?
If I have a Date type variable: Date today=new Date(), Is it possible to also give the current time to "today" but still keep the type as Date?
I mean , for exmaple I want to store this "today" to database as Date type, and the value in database is "2007-05-05 13:30:13". Creating a folder on my HD with /current/ date and time with iCal
hi all.
new user here trying to tighten things up over here.
can anyone advise me as to whether there is a way to do this with iCal? i'd like to have a folder like this so i can see it easily on my various external backup drives and basically know very quickly how recent the update is that i am looking at.
also, is there a lot more to iCal than simply keeping my calendars updated and synce and possibly posted to the web or shared with others or whatever? i am loving the sync ability and the sonorous alerts but i am wondering if i can/need to read up on additional functionalities in iCal that keep me organized.

At least one of the 3rd-party Crystal Reports Desktop Scheduling tools listed at: http://www.kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html provides that functionality. It allows you to use Crystal Reports fields or formulas to dynamically set the export file path and name. -
Problem with date and time syncing itouch to macbook
i have a problem with the date and time on ical when i sync my itouch4 w my macbookair. whatever i entered into my calendar in itouch will appear different in my ical( with a 6 hrs advance difference) and the alarm i set on my itouch in the calendar doesnt ring at the right time as set even though it is shown the time that i wanted.
Both my macbook n itouch are set to the same time zone and i have checked this many many times n the time is the same on both machine. but i just dont understand why is there a time difference when synced and my alarm just dont sound at the time it was supposedly set. it rings hours later n showing a different time that it was set but in the parenthesis the right time that i had set it.
One time my computer ran out of battery n went into sleep mode and when i open it again, the time n date setting was all off. which im surprised why it had gone off. So did this create the problem i have now with the date n time sync or something else?
please help!!!!Having the same problem, & am running Parallels (which I haven't used for some time) not boot camp. I tick the box labeled "Set time automatically" & lock the "click the lock to make changes". When I reboot, the Lock is unlocked and the "set time...." is unticked. Any ideas. Cheers.

In Numbers, how do I lock in the date and time data when an IF/THEN formula is used with the "NOW" function?
=IF(I127,NOW()," ")
I127 equals a check box. The formula retuns a value of the current date and time when a check is placed in the box. How does one lock that date and time so that it cannot be changed?I don't think it is possible to lock in the date and time using a formula. You could put NOW() in a cell, copy, and Edit Paste Formula Results where you want the result.
Or if you are "time stamping" a lot, you may find this Automator Service (Dropbox download) helpful. It puts a "Today" function (actually it should be named "Now" because it includes both date and time) in your Services menu like this:
Just doubleclick the .workflow package to install it. You may have to click "download anyway" in System Preferences > Privacy & Security.

I used to have a script which i have lost now due to a recent laptop crash. This script used to find locks in the database.. along with the date and time since when it is locking the session.
It was quite a comprehisive one. I think i found it on this forum only, but not able to find it now. Can someone please help me find one such comprehensive script.

+/+What Brian said is true so are your sure your query was not just reporting the start time of the current transaction from v$transaction.start_time, or the start time of the session: v$session.logon_time, or perhaps the time since the last database call (v$session.last_call_et) which for an active session would be the time the current SQL statement has been running?
