AFP Virus / Malware - Your browser has been locked

Hi
I'm still reasonably new to Macs and have a Virus / Malware I think.
It says AFP (Australian Federal Police) have locked your browser, etc
google says its bogus.
How do I remove it?
I can't shut down that TAB/Safari window.
Please Help

I guess it's from a Torrent then, but lesson learnt now.
So if no Virus, then it's Malware??
I'm running ClamXav right now to check - will that help or remove it?
I'll start reading those pages now and I've added that Ad Block, thank you very much for the help.

To prevent the loop from running and exiting the page
Disable Javascript.
Hit back in Safari.
Enable Javascript.
Reset History and Top Sites as a precaution.
This resolved the problem, but I'm staying clear of torrents forever!!!

    I am posting this message on behalf of people unable to access the site due to locked account status.
    I have few co workers in my office getting error "Your account has been locked for the next 3 hours due to

    ". They are trying to access the site with valid userID and Password. Is it possible to do a global check for this issue.

    If your account is locked you cannot edit your personal information, make purchases, or access iCloud or MobileMe.

    it cant just be locked. it may have 'ipad is disabled' if you have a passcode. give me more detail about what is going on.

    You've probably ran into the issue mentioned here in the FAQ : http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-3932 (second question)
    You should have emails in your inbox to reset your password (details can be found in the above FAQ document as well). Please try to follow the link and reset your password (you only need to do this one time) and the temporarly restriction will be lifted in 30 minutes. If you need this done sooner, let me know the email address that was blocked.

    this is really annoying me now i can't download any app updates or do anything to do with my apple id.

    Were you able to reset your password ? If you were then have you tried logging out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then logged back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it ?
    If that hasn't fixed it then you might need to contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • Blackberry ID account has been Locked - Email

    Can anyone tell me why for the past couple of days i've been getting emails that my Blackberry ID Account has been locked? Email message is this:
    Your Account has been locked due to too many login attempts
    When this happened the other day - I logged in and changed my password - however I just got the same email again this morning - and I haven't been trying to access the account.
    Is there a possiblity someone is trying to hack the account? Can't see for what purpose....
    Any advice is appreciated.

    The Message you recieved is generally displayed when the BlackBerry ID has been entered 10 times unsuccessfully.
    Have you tried to reset your Password ,If not try it here BlackBerry ID Password Reset .

    Thank you for posting and welcome to Nokia Support Discussions! 
    Once the account is locked, wait for 15 minutes then try re-login (this allows the lock timer to be reset).
    If still not able to login with existing password, you must go for the password reset option on  http://account.nokia.com main page and select Forgot your password?
    Try either mobile number option or email (which you used in Nokia account registation)
    For mobile number, an over-the-air (OTA) password reset link will be sent to the mobile.
    For email, a link will be sent for password reset.
    Please note that you have to wait up to 4 hours to get the reset link as there can be network congestion.
    Once you get the reset link, create a new password and then try to login with the password.
    The login should work with the new password.
    Note: You might still have to wait for 15 minutes before you can try to login even with the new password. Nokia doesn't have any tools to unlock the user's account due to privacy issues and a new account should be created if the customer is unable to reset the password by him/herself.

    For info we are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
    You might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
    You might then need to log out of your account on your iOS device by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store (Settings > Store on iOS 5 and below) and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on them.
    If that doesn't fix it then contact iTunes Support and see if they can/will unlock it : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

    Is there anybody know why there's a message : "your blackberry ID account has been locked for security reason.try again later" when I try to open 'my world' and 'my account' in blackberry app world.
    Before that thing happens,there's install suggestion : 'new ID update is needed.do you want to install it now?' I checked system preferences and everything seems to be checked appropriately as well as for Safari's preferences.
    I am not sure what's going on, because Safari only just recently started doing this and I haven't downloaded anything, nothing out of my regular computer routine. As well, I upgraded to Mavericks when it came out and I have the last version of it too. I can't imagine that Safari would close simply because I don't have or want to upgrade to Yosemite. I am holding off on the upgrade for a bit, because I heard Final Cut Pro 7 can't be run on Yosemite. While I could partition my drive, I really don't want to. Mavericks is fine for right now :   )
    Okay sooooo...back to Safari...what the! Please help and thanks for any replies ahead of time!

    There's an Apple help page on the DNS problem - at http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3408
    The first thing to try is changing your DNS settings - and for that you need to open System Preferences, then the
    Network section.
    In Network - click  on Advanced - then the DNS tab
    under DNS servers - use the + button to enter two extra lines
    either these, from google dns
    8.8.8.8
    8.8.4.4
    or from OpenDNS
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
    then click OK & then 'Apply'
    You would need to do that seperately for the Cable (Ethernet) settings and Wireless (Airport)
