After connecting my iPhone to my macbook and attempting to import the photos which did not work I am now getting the message "Photos are being imported to the photo library. Please wait for import to complete." HELP?

I tried the import of photos a couple of weeks ago and still can not close iphoto even after reconnecting my iphone.
Please help!

Hi I was in the procces of uploading photos from my phone three days ago as i have an important art project to finish today. I have tried to restart my computer log off come back on but every time i put my phone to the computer and press up load photos its comes up with "Photos are baeing import to photo library- please wait for import to complete".
There are 90 photos and this came after it uploaded a few - can you help me - i have tried to quit iphone but this keeps coming up and i need these pics imported from my phone to my computer.

I have tried turning off iclowd and other things that would automatically upload photos but that still didnt work. I can not upgrade my computer because it wants to restart the computer, but iphoto stops the shut down process. It says I need to wait for the download to complete. But I can not find anything uploading. please help.

It has said this for about a month now and I would just hide iPhoto since I could not close it. I have not needed to turn off my computer until now. But now it is a problem because I can not upgrade my computer

TS1702 How do I report a "bad" app product to Apple? The App developer has failed to address the problem and keeps on selling a product which does not work. Surely Apple has some liability in this case or at the very least some responsibility.

How do I report an App that is not working and the seller has not fixed the problem yet is continuing to sell it? People are being ripped off and Apple does not seem to care.

Glad you got some resolution on that. I'm not familier with the app you had issues with, but the one the OP was questioning is very highly regarded and widely sold. After connecting my iPhone to my Macbook Pro to download photos to my phone, my pages application is now gone from my computer. The icon is still in the dock. What happened and how do I get it back?

After connecting my iphone to my Macbook Pro to download photos to my phone yesterday, my Pages application is gone from my computer. The icon is still in the dock. What happened and how do I get it back? Its not in my trash or anywhere else.

The other 2 applications open like normal. All three give me info.
Pages     ver.4.1          265.8MB
Numbers ver. 2.1          89.5MB
Keynote ver. 5.1.1        238.1MB
They all list Apr 3 as the last time opened. That was when I upgraded to Mavericks. I certainly used pages and numbers since then as I have alot of my work files on this computer?
Just very odd. I did find my original iWorks disc from when I bought the computer. I'm assuming i can reinstall it. Will try that. Thank you for all your help. Would still like to know what did happen?

After Force Quitting, as LarryHN recommended,
Select the iPhoto Library in the Finder. By default it is in your Pictures folder.
Ctrl-click or right-click the iPhoto lIbrary. Select "Show package contents" from the panel, that will pop up.
Look for a folder named "Importing" or "Import". Remove this folder, but don't touch anything else.
Then launch iPhoto again.
If iPhoto now is working again, check the folder you removed, if there are any photos that you want to keep and save them.

Was it just this one time? Could be that you, or your mom, were experiencing network problems. Try again at a later time.

A reset has nothing to do with Internet access or data access.
A reset is simply pressing and holding the home and power buttons until the white Apple logo appears.

try a reset of iPhone and then a restore,best, as new and if it then functions correctly try restoring with your backup

You did the wrong things. In the future it's a good idea to remember not to do something when you don't know what you are doing and what happens when you do it.

Yes, I understand that. But The screen issue is not a result of user damage. The phone was not dropped when the screen got cracked. My daughter was standing in a chair at the table and dropped one of her toys onto the bottom of the phone and cracked it right by the home button. (Nowhere near the LCD/digitizer flex cables, connections, or logic board components) then a few months later my phone had died, I plugged it in, it showed it was charging, then Apple logo disappeared and screen didn't work. AFTER contacting Apple about the issue and them telling me that it "is a result of the very minimal crack to the sheet of glass that has no relation to the LCD or Digitizer and that the warranty does not cover it I had taken it upon myself to change the LCD/digitizer to no avail, as well as backlight ic and backlight coil to no avail. But how do I go about letting Apple know that it is in fact NOT due to the cracked screen nor is it due to the flex cable connections? I can't. So the lady that works the call center phones trying to "convince" me that she knows what she is talking about and "convince" me that it is from the cracked screen I have to take her word because I can't show Apple that its not because of that without paying them $199 to fix the screen in which case they will just send me a new phone rather than fix the faulty hardware under warranty.
