After deploying a customized com.sap.layouts.framework.par

Hi all,
after we deployed a customized com.sap.layouts.framework.par to our portal we got blank portal pages after login. Now we want to upload the SAP standard layout par file. How we can reload it? Or is it possible to deploy a patched SCA file via SDM? If this works how we can identify which software components needs to be redeployed.
Thanks in advance for your support.
Best regards.
Mike

Hi Mike,
It is not recommended to modify directly in SAP namespace. You must always copy the standard PAR file and rename to com.<clientname>.layouts.framework.par -> customize -> upload on Portal so that standard is not affected.
Now to recover from your current problem - do you have another Portal instance eg - QUALITY or PROD portal?,
if so you can navigate in that system to System Admin - Support - Portal Runtime - Browse Deployment -  Download the com.sap.portal.layouts.framework.par.bak
In the problematic system - go to System Admin - Support - Administrator Console - Archive uploader - Upload the downloaded working PAR. (You have to remove the .BAK extension before uploading)
Hope this helps.

    Pavan,
You do u want to  edit com.sap.portal.layouts.framework.par  . this pars is only for layouts. If you want to change the width or create a new layout then u can use it.
Deploy the par with different name than satandard name.

  • Location of com.sap.portal.dsm.par in SP23 of NW2004

    Hi all,
For an issue discovered in SP22(SAP Note 1235253), SAP has provided a work around. Thats to take a file com.sap.portal.dsm.par from SP23 and deploy using SDM.
But i am not sure in which SDA/SCA this particular file is present.
Please let me know the SDA/SCA file where i can find com.sap.portal.dsm.par.

    Hello,
What I want to do is to put the logon page in the light framework page so that the users can login from the anonymous portal. After I customize the logon page I want to create aniview in the detailed navigation.
If you want to see the jsp files that the com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par file you have to go to the file system and copy the .par.bak file , rename it to .zip and all the files are there.
But my question is if this is a par file that is deployed in the portal , why I cant create an iview from this par file? From other forums I have read they say that creating an iview from this par file it will put the logon page where you want. But when I try to create an iview from PAR File the com.sap.portal.runtime.logon doesn't appear in the list of available par files.
Please help me on this and will give rewarding points.
    Thanks
    Luis

  • AM is not retained after deployed the custom pages

    Hi,
I have two custom pages, Create(page1) and Select Jobs(page2) pages.
In Create page I've a button called Populate Jobs, Once I click the populate jobs button it will navigate to another page. In page2 I'll select list of jobs using multiple selection.
Once multiple jobs selected I'm validating those jobs(lines) already added to the page1 when click submit button (available in page2).
Both pages have same AM and I'm retaining AM when I move from page1 to page2. In page 2 if click submit button I try to get all the existing lines which is arendered in page 1.
But i'm getting zero count but records are there. It is working very fine in my machine before deployment. But the AM is not retained after deployed to apps.

    Hi.
Try adding some debugging statements using write diagnostics .
Check to see if VO is getting cleared on loading 2nd page.
Alternate solution would be to add these line id's of the selected lines before forwading.
On 2nd page, get these Id's and do whatever necessary.

Apparently, there is a bug in the .sca file that prevents it from deployment on UNIX servers.
SAP is working on the patch, but meantime we can use the following workaround:
    unzip the .sca file
unzip the com.sap.pct.pdk.pct.epa.epa from the .sca
Copy all .ept files contained into the WebAS folder <(>
    <<)>WASROOT>/JC00/j2ee/cluster/server0/apps/sap.com/irj/servlet_jsp/irj/root/web-inf/deployment/pcdcontent
    restart the server.

  • Runtime error.Java.lang.nullPointerException: null at com.sap.guid.GUID.par

    Hi experts.
My scenario is File --> PI --> File.
During the message mapping there are a few RFC lockups.
I have configured an communication component for the RFC destination, and a Receiver communication channel to the RFC system.
When I am trying to check the message mapping and the operation mapping from the integration builder every thing works just fine.
In the interface determination i have configured the rfc parameter for the mapping.
When I am trying to run the hole process i receive an error saying:"Runtime exception from: java.lang.nullPointerException:
    null at com.sap.guid.GUID.parsHEXguid(guid.java:1015)
    reguars Max

Did you test your operation mapping??
Did you provide your RFC communication channel name and import parameters value in paramter tab of Operation mappi
    Yes I did.
I have tested the operation mapping and it runs just fine.
Also all the parameters are specified.
And the communication channel is configured.
Just to make sure the communication channel is configured well.
Should it be configured as RFC adepter and connected to the system on which the RFCs are located?
If this is all of the configuration needed i have already done them.
    Any suggestions?
    Regards Max.

  • How is the com.sap.runtime.logon.par implemented?

    Hi all
I want to make some changes to the logon.par file such that if the user authentication fails, I have to fire a custom RFC to check if the user exists in that backend system.
First of all, I have no clue about how I am going to implement this. Before jumping deep, I'd like to understand how the existing authentication works. Where does the logon get information about the user credentials?
Any information would be very helpful.
    Thanks
    J

    Hi J,
The logon process is implemented through two layers, of which the one you have referred to is just representing the user interface, whereas the real logon process is implemented through login modules; for the latter see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm32/helpdata/de/46/3ce9402f3f8031e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
On both layers, you can determin if the logon worked or failed (to be concrete, the login module determins this by its own, whereas in the logon PAR you can determin the result of this process). So both layers could be used to implement this. As the login module is more generic, I would advise to use this, as this is also documented and supported, whereas in the login module you would have to modify the implemented logic (by decompiling or putting your logic into some existing JSP). The internal logic of the logon PAR is not documented (but not hard to understand when checking the JSPs and/or decompiling the code).
    Hope it helps

  • Anonymous com.sap.km.cm.xmlformpreview - urgent (goinglive)

    Hi gurus!
We are to publish some news in our NW2004s Portal. News considered to be available for anonymous users. We use com.sap.km.cm.navigation based ivew in NewsExplorer fromat and anonymous authetification type. News details are shown with application com.sap.km.cm.xmlformpreview. Please advise me how to make this application runnable under anonymous user.
    Thanks.

    Hi Ivan,
Maybe this helps you, I documented a few years ago when I had to create a EFP with KM news. It then implemented it on a NW2004...
But after looking at it it could still do the trick, So its worth looking at it I guess...
To allow full anonymous access to the KM News a custom setting needs to be made to this default SAP portal module. If this customized settings is not made the portal will give a logon screens for the KM News pop-ups that are located on every market overviewpage. We do this in 9 steps.
Step 1: Login to the portal as an administrator. When logged in go to:
System Administration>Support > Support Desk > Portal Runtime
    Go to: Browse deployment
Step 2: Go to: root/web-inf/deployment/pcd and locate the file: com.sap.km.cm.par.bak
Click: download to download the file to your local computer.
Step 3: The file will not download with the .par.bak file-extension because the portal zips it first (so donu2019t wory on that). Accept the file download by pressing save. Select a location on you local computer where you want to put the file.
Step 4: Unpack the file with your WinZIP compatible zip-extractor.
Step 5: Start SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio (from now on short: NWDS) and import a file by: File > Import
Select Import Source PAR file, and confirm with Next
Browse for the file. Donu2019t forget to set the filter option to .par.bak. or you wonu2019t find the file.
    Select it and confirm.
Copy the first part of the file name from u201Ccom.u201D Till u201C.par.baku201D and Paste it as the
Project Name. Select a folder where to create the project. Confirm by pressing Finish.
The .par.bak file is imported in to a newly made NWDS Project.
By default none of the libraries are imported into the NWDS Project so we have to copy them manually into the proper folder.
For that we need to open the Windows File Exploreru2026
Step 6: Browse to the folder that contains the .par.bak file that you unpacked under step 4.
    Select the .par.bak file > RightClick > Open with > Choose Programu2026
Choose your WinZIP compatible extracter as the executable to open this file. In addition you can check the ckeckbox: u201CAlways use the selected program to open this kind of fileu201D. Confirm
After you confirmed a WinZIP window will pop-up. It shows the content of the .par.bak file.
Cascade the NWDS behind the WinZIP pop-up and start a Drag & Drop action on the *.jar file(s). Drag it to the /dist/PORTAL-INF/private/lib folder and Drop it
The Project is made and all files are imported. We can continue to the next step and Edit the moduleu2026
Step 7: Within NWDS browse to: com.sap.km.cm/dist/PORTAL-INF
    Look for the file: portalapp.xml
DoubleClick it and open the tab u201CSourceu201D.
    For the componentu2026
    <component name="xmlformpreview">
We have to add the following tag inside the <component-profile> tag:
    <property name="AuthScheme" value="anonymous"/>
    Save the file.
Step 8: Within NWDS RightClick on: the project and Select: Export
This will initiate the Export Wizard. Go trough this steps:
u2022     Select Par File (selected by default) > Confirm with Next.
u2022     Select the project  (selected by default) > Confirm with Next.
u2022     Export location will be the Module folder by default (leave it like it is) > Confirm with Finish
The module is exported as .par file and ready for re-deploymentu2026
Step 9: Again login to the portal as an administrator. When logged in go to:
System Administration>Support > Support Desk > Portal Runtime
    Go to: Administration Console
Browse tot the NWDS Project directory and select the current Project folder.
Select the .par file and confirm this action.
Last but not least confirm the re-deployment by clicking Upload
The customized module is now re-deployed on the portal.
    Good Luck!

    com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.InvalidUrlRuntimeException: Invalid URL=../../../resources/local/WDTUT_WebDynpro_Valuehelp/Components/...
    My environment is NW04sSP10.
The only sap note I found is 864842 InvalidUrlRuntimeException (Web Dynpro). Since it is related to NW04SP13 that should be SP4 in NW04s and since the URL that seems to fail is not generated by myself, I think the note does not fit for my InvalidUrlRuntimeException case.
Any idea why this WD app is not shown correctly in the browser after deployment? Othe WD apps work fine in the same environment.
    Thanks
    Kristian

    Hi ,
Does your application have any images.. remove the image for the time being and try running the app !
Its seems like its using a deprecated method for get the image resource path..
    Check <a href="https://help.sap.com/javadocs/NW04S/current/wd/com/sap/tc/webdynpro/services/sal/url/api/IWDURLGenerator.html">IWDURLGenerator</a>
and use alternate methods to generate url for image source.

    Hi,
Looks like your CLASSPATH is not set properly...Just try to Put the Jar inside "<DOMAIN_HOME>\lib" directory...in that case u need not to alter anything in the Classpath variable...it will be appended at the end of Classpath at the run time, Using Extended Directory ClassLoader.
by default Classpath settings doesnt take effect if we specify it in the startScript of Servers but we start them using NodeManagers...So if you are using Nodemanagers to start your Servers... then you can follow the below link to set the Classpath & Memory Arguments http://weblogic-wonders.com/weblogic/2010/03/26/nodemanager-based-managedservers-setting-mem_args/
