After doing a full profile sync in sharepoint 2013 , some of the users photo/picture disappeared

I have noticed that those users who uploaded their picture ,these are the users who have lost their photo
harsh damania

You have 20 separate forests you're synchronizing with?
You do need to run Update-SPProfilePhotostore. Consider it part of the synchronization process and schedule it appropriately via Task Scheduler.

    Thanks again for quick response.
I have requested users who are having this issue to try check in/ check out, and share the results.
    Result with CheckIn/CheckOut:
User was able to check out but no edit option.
'Edit Document' option under 'Files' tab was greyed out. I did check permissions every thing seems fine he has full control over the site and document library.

  • Some of the users Profile photo is not showing in sharepoint team sites

Some of the users Profile photo is not showing in the list of SharePoint team site.
In the people picker their picture is grayed out but if you click on their name it will direct you to their mysite and the picture is there.
Can some body help on this.

    Try running:
    stsadm -o sync -deleteolddatabases 0
Then, run the timer job named similar to "User Profile Service Application - User Profile to SharePoint Full Synchronization". Wait for it to complete, then re-check the profile photo on the SharePoint site.

  • Temp-Contract Worker User Profile Synchronization in SharePoint 2013

    Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone could provide some feedback on what is the best practice for configuring Temp or Contract worker user profile services in SharePoint 2013. We have had lot of issues within MySites when we make these types of workers AD account inactive
and then active again when they come back on projects. The user profile synchronization does not work correctly and MySites has issues loading the profile etc. Also in the same context are there best practices for Name/Title/Department changes as well.
    thank you for your feedback!

Given what you describe I assume you've created a user profile Sync connection filter to remove disabled AD accounts from the user profile sync.  That's why you are running into problems.  When a user is missing from the import their profile is
deleted within an hour or so, but their MySite isn't deleted for 14 days (to allow time for a manager to clean it off).  If the user is reactivated within the 14 day period their old mySite is still there, but is no longer referenced by the new profile
that is created.  So When the user goes to their profile it tries to create a new mySite where one already exists.  It can't do that.
The same thing will happen if you delete the contractor's user account, but then recreate them in AD when they return.  The only way to fix it is to make sure both the profile and mySite site collection in /Personal/ have been deleted before re-adding
    an old contractor.

  • Reorder User Profile properties in SharePoint 2013.

Hi, I have created custom user profile properties in SharePoint 2013 under User Profile Service Application, now I want to change the order of properties as well as also want to move OOTB properties and custom properties from one section to another section.
Is there any Power Shell command available to move properties between sections?
    Regards,

    Hi Prakash,
Use the script in this blog to retrive user profile properties from a certain section.

    # Dynamic Settings
    $mySiteUrl = "http://mysite.company.net"
    $findProperty = "PictureUrl"
Next, we needed to establish the server context:
    # Obtain Context based on site
    $mySiteHostSite = Get-SPSite $mySiteUrl
    $mySiteHostWeb = $mySiteHostSite.OpenWeb()
    $context = Get-SPServiceContext $mySiteHostSite
From the context we can instantiate a ProfileManager object and retrieve all of the SharePoint User Profiles:
    # Obtain Profiles from the Profile Manager
    $profileManager = New-Object Microsoft.Office.Server.UserProfiles.UserProfileManager($context)
    $AllProfiles = $profileManager.GetEnumerator()
    $outputCollection = @()
Next, we loop through the profiles and retrieve the account name (for identification purposes) and the property we are interested in finding:
    # Loop through profiles and retrieve the desired property
    foreach ($profile in $AllProfiles)
    $output = New-Object System.Object
    $output | Add-Member -type NoteProperty -Name AccountName -Value $profile["AccountName"].ToString()
    $output | Add-Member -type NoteProperty -Name $findProperty -Value $profile[$findProperty]
    $outputCollection += $output
Finally, we list out the collection items that do not have a value for the property (ie. null):
    # List all Accounts that do not contain the property
    $outputCollection | Where-Object {[bool]$_.($findProperty) -ne $true}

    # Dynamic Settings

    HP G5384sc desktop pc

    Hello
Unfortunately I did not manage to fix my computer yet. My printer is broken so I bought a new one, but since I do not have administrator rights, I can not connect the new printer, so I have to write all-installing notes down with pencil and simultaneously translate them into Danish so it is a very slow process. I'll tell you if it succeeds, otherwise there is of course the primitive way to buy a new computer, but it's the same as giving up. Not yet.
Until now, many thanks for the good suggestions.
    Kind regards

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
I assume you are referring to the screensaver. You can change the photos used by the screensaver in the screensaver settings. Note if you have a large number of photos in the collection you choose for screensaver, not all of them will be used due to the limited storage available to the Apple TV.

  • Sharepoint 2013 ADFS Integration duplicates User Profiles for each Authentication Type

    Hello everyone
i am building up a sharepoint farm which is hosting some of our corporate web sites. before integration Adfs and using SAML-Based Authentication every user had a single User Profile and were happy.
when i integrated adfs 3.0 and sharepoint 2013 SP1 i found whoun a user logs into sharepoint by using trusted identity token issuer (adfs 3.0) they get redirected to a new profile which is totally different from their old Profile. what is the problem ?

The problem is that SharePoint does not support Multilogon accounts. I asked for that here -
    http://sharepoint.uservoice.com/forums/282887-customer-feedback-for-sharepoint-server/suggestions/7085002-multilogon-accounts
If you're just moving to ADFS only, then you can migrate users with Convert-SPWebApplication -

  • Sharepoint 2013 - Active Directory Import User Profile Property manager fields

    Hi there,
I juste encountered actually a little issue regarding the Active Directory Import User Profil.
Importation seems to work well but I have a little problem regarding the Manager field.
When I verify a user profil through the sharepoint admin page ("Manage user profil") , I can see the manager field is correctly populated, but if I want to check my profil as a user (personal information), the manager field is not visible.
With Sharepoint Admin and Manage Profil Properties, I haven't the possibility to modify some settings for the manager.
For example, Policy parameters is greyed.
The only way I found to show this field in a user profil is to give the permission "allow users to Edit values ...".... setting I don't want to set.
Have you already this sort of issue ?
    Thanks for your help/idea.

    Hi Michael,
I don't remember well what I did exactly regarding this issue because I played a lot with user profil.
I know I used this powershell script from Sheyia which in fact help me a lot to clean and create a good profil setting.
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/sheyia/archive/2013/10/09/sharepoint-2013-another-way-to-change-order-for-user-profile-properties-via-powershell.aspx
For example, this script help me to resolve some double entries.
Let-me know if it help you (or not of course)

The OOTB feature “Export to Spreadsheet” won’t contain the department in the exported report, we will need to create a custom one programmatically.

It looks like you may have extracted the files to C:\sp2013. Can you try installing from a mounted ISO instead? Can you also validate that this is Server 2012 and not 2012 R2?

  • WSP deployment to multyiple fronend server in sharepoint 2013 not reflecting the updated solution

Hi I have created a wsp package and deployed it to the multiple  front end server. It was working fine on initial deployment. However after doing some change in JS file, I update the solution (through PowerShell update solution command)  and found
it's not reflecting in Browser . Even if i have checked the file in both front end are updated (in 15 hive).
    Thanks and Regards

If the files are updating on the front end servers, but not showing changes in the browser then the problem is that the .JS files have been cached by the browser.  You need to clear the Browser cache after this kind of change before the change will
be reflected in the browser.  You can manually clear the browser cache in IE using the developer toolbar [F12].
