After instaling Lightroom 6 on my mac and upgrading database - howdo i get rid of the old version 5

By Erasing Lightroom 5 I am afraid of deleting soemthing that I need in Lightroom 6. I need advise - what to do - ??

LIghtroom CC is a separate app included with the Creative Cloud subscription. LR5 can co-exist with it or you can uninstall it.

I can't get firefox to open now that I erased the old version and tried to install the new version (6.0.2) on my Mac. as I’m using a Mac so I have download the file with .dmg extension, which is the one that currently doesn’t work.
I also tried to download the .exe one, but as expected when I double click on it, I have an error message that confirmed Windows is not supported.

On my mac mini, the old 2.0.0.9 version is the default browser even though I downloaded v.3.16.19. How can I get rid of the old version once and for all?

I would like to eliminate the old version completely, as it comes up automatically and I don't see a way of deleting it from the mac.

I think the problem lays with Last.fm. I had the same exact problem as you. In your processes screen, end the task "lastfmhelper.exe" Last.fm still scrobbles. The tracks don't skip, although I notice there is still a bit of a lag in the first part of the song - but if you can deal with that, no skipping. I think you will have to end that task everytime you boot up your computer, or uninstall last.fm completely until they fix it; it is a bug in their software, as opposed to iTunes.

What is really irritating is that Apple give a big hurray about what they have added as "new" in Pages 5 (most of it pretty useless) without telling you of the myriad things they have deleted. If they had shown the list your gave the link to, I doubt may regular users would risked going to Mavericks with its auto upgrade. My partner got the message in time and is sticking with the earlier operating systems and Pages on Mac and iPad. Lucky girl.
I have found a way to use my iPad to add chapters written while on the move to reports on my iMac Pages 4.3. If I write it on the new Pages on the iMac (don't seem to be able to revert there), the send the report as an email in WORD format (not Pages) and download it in the Text Editor, then cut and paste into the story on the iMac. Hardly elegant but it works.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

I uploaded beta version of Firefox. jigzone puzzles download is loading multiple puzzles in the same wiindow maybe 20 or more puzzles at the same time. How doI get rid of the beta version and go back to the previsious versions or correct the problem.

My newspaper downloaded. the download of jigzone puzzle created multiple copies of the puzzle in the same window. I went to safari to see if it was the jigzone website but it downloaded correctly. Yes that makes sense, however have you updated it at My Apple ID before trying to change it in your system preferences > iCloud settings, you must do that first.
