After watching a video online  with much curiosity i downloaded IOS 6 on my new ipad. Unfortunately it dint went wel and now I am stuck. During the start up screent after selecting language its askin me to connect to wifi, but am not able to connect and it gives me option to connect to itunes i tried that but of no use. Now i am stuck my new ipad dosent start, i had backup on icloud. now i cannot restore to firmware 5.1 as before as it says not compatible.  Please help ! what i can do ?

I wasn't not able to start my iPad after first screen either with wifi or iTunes . So I just removed the cable from iPad end ( donot remove other end connected to laptop) and switched it off , then connected back USB again at ipad end by holding home button until I see screen of iTunes on iPad and on laptop it detected iPad in recovery mode and asked me wether I want to restore to factory defaults 5.1 iOS . Which I did and after that it asked to restore back up form iCloud. And all was fine. But still m eager to try ios 6 , I tried again multiple times.

  • After IOS 8 upgrade IPad 2 don't start

    Hi,
After IOS 8 upgrade my IPad 2 don't start and just show this screen and nothing works.

My ipad2 is having the same problem.  I can get it to start up by plugging the charger in.  I can then unplug it and it is working - but very slow and prone to randomly shutting things down.

  • After ios 8 update ipad began to crash

after ios 8 update apps been crashing and ipad began rebooting by it self it use to do it when first updated to ios 7 until the bug fix update was sent out what to do

Similar problem too with iPad 2. After updating it just continues to search and won't connect to 3G (verizon). I spent 5 hours at the local apple store and they couldn't solve the problem. There was another person there too with the exact same problem with an iPad 2 and they couldn't fix it either.
After all of this time they had no solution except to buy a new iPad ....... unbelievable. The issue is not a coincidence and it is obviously due to the software update. Apple's arrogance to openly address and fix the issue is astounding. Very poor customer service for a company that is supposed to be so progressive.

  • After iOS 8 update, iPad lost 3G connection

    Hi
    After iOS 8.0 update my iPad (iPad2 Wi-Fi + 3G 32GBModel A1396 MC983KS/A) looses 3G connection.
When I restart iPad it has good 3G connection. After few hours, when I have closed my cover and check IPad again 3G/2G connection has lost.
Connection won't come back. Only when I restart IPad I get connection back.
Is this a bug in the update?
    When it will be corrected?

  • Can't access mail after ios 8 Update- iPad 2

Updated to ios 8 on iPad 2. Tonight mail app has ben crashing after it trys to open. Repeatedly. Everything was working fine before upgrade and now having issues with mail, slow to open anything in Safari, poor wifi connection, etc. I feel like an idiot for trusting the upgrade, should have known better!! Genius Bar appointments are booked out a week and chat wants to charge me $19 to get with them. I feel like going back to Windows!! Terrible support from Apple!!!

Because Apple does not participate in the forum. That was indicated in the information that you agreed to when you joined the ASC. If you want to ask a question and describe your problem, maybe someone will answer. If you would like to speak with Apple, then you need to use the Contact Us link on the bottom of each page here.
And in your original post, you indicate that you solved the problem. In regards to your final question there, I would say the problem lies with your email provider. They determine what settings are necessary to access and use their email. If the account would not work with SSL on, and works with it turned off, that indicates they do not use SSL. I would be leery about an email provider that does not use some type of security.

  • Problems with iPAD2 after iOS 8 installation

After the iOS8 upgrade, all the radio-APPs I have stop after about 20 minutes. If I start the same radio stations from Safari it's the same, they also stop after a certain time.
I have not found any setting that may cause this problem.
Thanks in advance for, I hope, a good tip,
    Carmen

  • No restore from backup option in iTunes after ios 5 installation

itunes didnt let me to choose or to set up new phone or restore from backup straight after ios 5 intall, also there is no option if i push right-click on my iphone in itunes..... also strange thing is that itunes didnt let me to push restore or update buttons.. i need to have my iphone restored from backup because i had really valuable photos for me... please help..

    I had a similar problem.
I was backing up my phone in iTunes, checking the backup folder in windows 7
    "\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\"
and the backup was created successfully there.
But under "Edit -  Preferences - devices - device backups" list no backup was showing there and as a result no "restore from back up" option was available when I right click the device.
    I uninstalled
    1.Apple Application support
    2.Apple mobile device support
    3.Apple software update
    4.bonjur
    5.itunes
    6.Quick time
Then copy the contents of the Backup folder from the location
    "\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\"
to another location in my hard drive and deleted the "Apple computer" folder.
Installed only iTunes latest version. The rest programs from above were installed by iTunes installation.
Opened iTunes, conected my iphone, right click the device and hit backup.
After backup finished I closed iTunes and moved the contents back to the Backup folder in
    "\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\"
opened iTunes again and under "Edit -  Preferences - devices - device backups" I could see all my back ups!
Also after I conected my iphone this time when I right click the device the "restore from back up" option was available again.
    Hope it helps..

  • Apple ID´s from friends after iOS 6 installation

    Hey,
after the re-installation to iOS 6 a strange thing happend.
The Apple-ID AlertView cames up and in the field for the username was the mail-adress from a friend... after that it comes again with another email from another friend.
Consider the phone was installed NEW with the backup from iCloud!
AND: The two persons were never on my phone!
I hope somebody has an explanation....
    regards
    Phil

    Hi...
The recomended way of setting up Applleds is to have one common one for "the Stores" (iTunes, App Store & Mac App store) so that all purchases are shared, then a seperate individual account for iCloud syncing EACH
So for instance you'd have [email protected] for the stores and [email protected], [email protected] [email protected] & [email protected] for the individuals
Thats' what I've done here for myself, mrs & 4 kids.
    Regards,
    Shawn

  • ICloud photos doesn't sync with PC after iOS 8 installation on iPad

After installing iOS 8 on my iOS devices (3), photos no longer sync with my PC. Sync worked ok before the iOS so-called 'upgrade', but now it doesn't. Contacts and Calendar seem still to sync, but not photos. Once again, Apple runs ahead with changes without bothering to think through how the so-called improvements will affect services that worked fine before. I'd dearly love it if someone could help to make photo sync work again. Thanks.

  • HT204266 No updating process on my iPad after iOS 6 installation?

trouble updating apps on ipad; over 15 apps are pending to get ipdated but nothing happens. I have rebooted THE iPad several times. With no effect. Please help?

Here are a number of things that have worked for others in the past.
Try downloading the update from App description page instead of the Updates Tab. Find the app in your purchases tab in the App Store. Tap on the app icon to bring up the description window. Tap on Install or Update - whatever it says next to the Icon.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

  • How to reset Failed Passcode after IOS 7 Installation

Installed IOS 7, then 4 digit number for Passcode, but not recognised this morning and after 6 attempts locked out.  Have restored Passcode screen, but can't solve 4 digit number refusal.  How do you get into the Ipad to reset the Passcode?

Nothing should only be on the iphone.
You should be syncing to your comptuer/cloud service regularly, particularly before any update attempt.
You should be importing all pics regularly, particularly before any update attempt.
All of your info should eb on your computer.  Just sync it back to the iphone.

  • Cannot connect to iTunes Store after iOS installed on iPad wifi 3rd generation

My iPad 3rd generation was just updated to iOS yesterday without any problems. I can use the Internet and the wifi network just fine.
But, I am unable to access the iTunes store no matter what I have done. I reset the router / modem. I am really ****** that this has happened. At home there are no problems. There is nothing that I have done that caused this as far as I can tell. I took my Apple ID off and then put it back on the iTunes & App Store a number of times. Nothing works. It keeps asking me to Sign In and then it says I can't

    Hey tpolevoy,
Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like you can't connect to iTunes store on the iOS device. A frustrating situation for sure. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.
Can't connect to the iTunes Store
Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Have a nice day,
    Mario

  • App updates freeze after iOS 6 installation?

After installing IOS 6 on my iPad, I got a message to upgrade 13 apps. I hit install all, at which point all the apps to be upgraded froze, and have remained frozen for the past three days. I've tried resetting the iPad, but that doesn't work. If I delete the frozen app, and attempt to reload it I get the same frozen message that it's "installing." Any other ideas before I visit the Genius Bar?

    Try a reset:
    1. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together)
    2. For about 10 seconds
    3. Until you see the Apple logo (very important)
Note: You may need to do it a few times

  • Apps will not install or update after ios 8 installation

Apps will not install or update after ios8 installation

The solution that worked for me was to identify the apps that were stuck updating, and then find them on my iPhone.  (You can't search for them, you have to find their icon on your iPhone's desktop.)  Then I deleted those apps.  Then I went back to the App store, and they downloaded/updated like normal.  I did the same thing for the same problem on my iPad, and that also worked.
    Best of luck to everyone.
