After new download music skips

I downloaded the 7.0.2 update and now the songs in my library skip. It's like listening to an old record. Any ideas on how I can fix it? Thank you.

If nothing works for you...this fixed my skipping issues:
Close iTunes. Go to your Control Panel, go into the QuickTime settings, click Audio, and set your audio settings to the following:
Rate: 192 kHz
Size: 24 bit
Channels: 5.1
Even if you don't have a 5.1 surround sound system...it still works. For some reason, changing my settings to this completely got rid of my skipping issues. Before, I would have iTunes skip every 5 seconds with nothing else running and internet disconnected. Now, it plays flawlessly.

Itunes continues to "quit unexpectedly" after new download.

I downloaded the newest version of itunes a few days ago. (Something like 10.5 ?) After it downloaded, it hasn't been able to open. It keeps "quitting unexpectedly." It's been happening for about four days now and I'm not sure how to fix it. Thanks.

I tried re-installing iTunes as well. It didn't work, I'm still having the same issue on the new install. I'm certainly no expert, but I think the problem is when iTunes tries to access Apple at the start up of iTunes. That is when it crashes for me. Even though iTunes loads and I can see my library, it only lasts for 2-3 seconds at the most & quits.
I want to try & connect my iPod to see what happens, but I'm afraid it will wipe out my iPod & then I will have no music at all. What to do.......

You cannot. Iphone will sync/manually manage music with one and only one computer at a time. Syncing/manually managing with another will erase the current content from the iphone.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use your backup copy to put everything back.

When tracks in iTunes display a it means the file cannot be located; it may have been moved or deleted. For this issue, we will need to refer to the following article:

My iTunes won't recognize my password after new download

After downloading the new OS software, my iTunes won't recognize my password to restore all my stuff after it was backed up!! All my contacts, personal settings, pictures and videos are stuck on my computer and it WON'T restore back to my iPhone!! Funny tho, all my music and folders restored. I am confused and so upset:'( Is there a way to re-set the original password? I have tried every password I can think of and the frustration is killing me!! Any suggestions???

ITunes freezes after new download and reinstalls.

I have the spinning beach ball of death after iTunes starts for 30 seconds. I've unsubscribed from podcasts. trashed my movies.
New variables: new iPad
new version of iTunes 10.6.3 which I have installed twice. on my MacBook with OS 10. 6.8
I must force quit every time I launch iTunes....
ideas?

I started my computer in SAFE mode and ran REPAIR disc and all is working now. 4 days without iTunes was almost unbearable. I'm in China, no where near a Genius Bar.
HELP in the menu bar of Finder helped me.

I got reminders of new updates. I tried several times but it never completed the process after a huge time lapse. Now it disappeared from my icons and could not be retrieved so I tried to download Firefox again. It appears to download ..then nothing.Help please.

Can't find the zoom on camera after new download

After downloading new update, the zoom on the I site camera on both iPhone 4S & iPad 3 is not there anymore.

1. Zooming in on clap in wave form of audio - assorted maneuvers
You could always change the audio track size, but that is not going to give you anywhere near the detail that you will get by
alt clicking the audio portion of the Timeline file (to temporarily unlink audio from the video and then double clicking that Timeline
audio file to bring up its waveform in the Preview Window and noting the clap time at playback there.
With the video and audio relink again, as you can hold down the alt key and tap the left or right arrow key, you can move the Timeline linked clip from right to left or left to right
for alignment purposes to the clap time.
When you need only the video portion of the video audio linked file in the Preview Windows, then you omit the alt click on the audio portion.
If needed, you could always set unnumbered markers at the Timeline level or in the Preview Windows.
For Timeline video audio nudges....as you hold down the alt key and tap the right or left arrow key once, you get a one frame nudge per tap.
As you hold down the Shift+Alt and tap the right or left arrow key once, you get a five frames nudge per tap.
On other matters...
2. Please look at right clicking the Timeline and looking a Snap option enabled and disabled.
3. I will think about it some more but I do not see any way to mute the audio for a whole audio track. You can mute the audio for clips on that audio track but not
shut off the audio to that one particular audio track. If you wanted to do audio clip muting for more than 1 clip at a time, I could see
a. copy first file that you muted through Adjust Tab/Adjustments/Volume Panel expanded and
b. then do a Paste Effects and Adjustments for a selection of all of the other audio files on that particular track.

Help from someone about this issue would be greatly appreciated.
I have downloaded a couple albums (the latest being Ellie Gouldings 'Live iTunes festival' album" and tracks 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 all play about 30 seconds and then SKIP to the next song on the list. I have deleted the songs from my library, RE downloaded them from the purchases page and still the same thing is happening.
I do have the latest itunes software update. Not sure what else I can do. Thoughts? Anyone else having the problem?

Try again. While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

Cannot open itunes and apps on ipad after new download

Hello - just download the new iOS 7.0 software to ipad and iphone 4s but now cannot access itunes or app store. Can anyone advise what to do? Thank you.

I got a message that it was not possible and that I should delete IPhone from my computor and download a new program from Appstore. I did so but the same message appears.
What is the exact error message you get, when you try to open iPhoto or iTunes? Please post it litarally.
What versions of MacOS X and iPhoto are you having?
How much free disk space is on your mac?
Where do you keep your Media? iPhoto library, iTunes Library? On your system drive or on an external disk?

Plug ins blocked after new download

I keep getting the message Plug ins Blocked since I updated this morning. I have a MAC 10.6 with Safari 5. How do I get this fixed? I am not computer savvy so I need step by step directions.

Uninstalling and Reinstalling will usually solve this:
Uninstall Flash Player | Mac OS
Then download and run the installer:

Error message after new download

10/13/11, I got the following error message today when trying to download newest version of iTunes
"The following install step failed: run preupgrade script for Apple Mobil Devise Support. Contact the Software Manufacture for Assistance."
Will someone explain this in English. Is this part of the discussions I'm seeing about Leopard, Lion, Bears, oh my...

Windows error 126 after new download

Need help fixing this error. First mesage was Service apple mobile device failed to start - verify you have sufficient privaleges. So hit retry and then got the windows error 126. Very frustrating not getting Itunes to download. Was fine before this download.
I am using windows 7 and also have 64bit.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

So the other day my dad ran the updates on my MacBook and ever since then my internet is not working on either Safari or Itunes. I can connect to the internet on Firefox though. I am on 10.4.11 if that helps. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Use Disk Utility to repair permissions on your drive. If that doesn't work then boot from your install CD and use Disk Utility to verify and repair your hard drive.
When something like this starts to happen it is possible sign of something worse being wrong with the computer operating system. Now is a good time to back up before you do any repairs. Some of these post-update minor problems have seemed to foretell something worse resulting.
You should always repair your drive and permissions before installing and update, and repair permissions immediately afterwards. The more cautious of us also back up our drives before doing an update.
