After portal upgrade - 3.0.8, we seem to have lost MD form detail elements

Question

After doing an upgrade from Portal 3.0.6 -> 3.0.7, all Forms were working OK.
Both runnning and editing them, gave no errors. Then we did an upgrade to
3.0.8. The upgrade itself didn't give any errors, so everything was looking
alright. However editing MD forms no gives us an 'The forms must have atleast
one element from the base table' error. So it looks like it can not find the
Detail elements info. Does anyone have a clue???!!!

It looks like the error message is the result of the following:
We have been developing an Portal application in 3.0.7. This application contains several MD forms we created for single table maintainance. The reason we are using the MD form wizard is the fact that we want a Multi Record form to maintain our base tables. An example of how we accomplished this in 3.0.7 is:
Master Table:

Detail Table:

STRAATNAAM VARCHAR2 (50) NOT NULL,

POSTCODE VARCHAR2 (15) NOT NULL,
PLAATSNAAM VARCHAR2 (50) NOT NULL,
TELNR VARCHAR2 (15),
PORTAL_DUMMY VARCHAR2 (1) DEFAULT 'X');
Next: create a MD form using IN_PORTAL_DUAL as Master and IN_BEDRIJVEN as DETAIL. Then in the 'Join Conditions' Page, select 'DUMMY' as Master Column and 'PORTAL_DUMMY' as Detail Column. Next: in the 'Formatting and Validation Options for Master Row' page make 'MASTER_ACTION' hidden, give element 'DUMMY' value 'X' as default value and make the 'DUMMY' element hidden. Next we complete the 'Formating and Validation Options for Detail rows' and generate the form. As a result we have a Multi Row form showing us only the Detail Table rows.
However if, after upgrading to portal 3.0.8, we edit the MD form and try to navigate beyond the MD 'Formatting and Validation Options for Master Row' page we receive a 'The form must have at least one element from the base table' error. If we change the Master element 'DUMMY' Item Type from 'Hidden' in 'TextBox' this message disappears. So the 3.0.8. MD form wizard does not allow you to have a Master containing only 'Hidden' Item Types, it needs to have a displayed item for the master.
As a result of this, we have a maintain table form containing a confusing, un-logical DUMMY item as a Master. This is unaccaptable for the users of the application.
