After re-installing windows xp.......

hello everyone
Fisrt of all I have to say that I have my ipod and itunes in the sync automatically option everytime i connect my ipod to my computer.
The thing is everytime I format my computer and install a windows xp everything is deleted so I have to start over again inserting all of my music again on itunes but when I connect my ipod it says All existing content on my ipod will be replaced with content from your itunes library.
What can I do to avoid this instead of replacing everytime all my content in ipod ????
Thanks for help

It's working as designed. It recognizes that your PC & iTunes setup has changed.
You can your your iPod to manual updating, then it won't do that.

    Hello, Pete.
Here is an article I would recommend going through when an iPod is not recognized by iTunes or the computer.
iPod not recognized in My Computer and in iTunes for Windows
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1369
Usually the resolution is updating the Apple Mobile Device Driver.  See the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver.

  • How can I set to boot from MAC OS by default after I installed Windows?

How can I choose to boot from MAC OS by default after I installed Windows? I have a MacBook Pro Leo 10.6.8. I used bootcamp to install Windows XP SP2, but now if I don't press the option key it will start up with Windows, and I don't want that. Thanks for any help.

Select it in the Startup Disk pane of System Preferences.

Third-party NTFS software interferes with the Apple NTFS drivers, which control whether you can see the Bootcamp partition in the Startup Disk option. As a test, can you uninstall all third-party NTFS software and check System Preferences -> Startup Disk?

Yes you will need to install the apple drivers for win vista. When you boot from a cold start, have you tried holding down the option key to choose which OS to boot from? If you have then, you could try going into startup options from the mac side and choose win vista if it appears. That could be risky though, as you mentioned you do not have the mac install disk. If problems arise you may need the mac install disk to undo the changes.

Beats audio software missing after I installed windows 8.1
    my laptop: HP pavilion p011sv

    Hi @Boukou ,
    Thank you for your  inquiry.
I understand that after updating to Windows 8.1 you no longer have the Beats Audio software.
You should be able to download an updated audio driver from HP Pavilion 15-p011sv Software & Drivers page .
This should reinstall your Beats software.
    Good Luck!

  • Some issues after clean installing windows 7 pro 64bit

    Hi,
I have a couple of issues, I clean installed windows 7 pro, 64bit, (vanilla) restored my license with ABR and used system update to download all the drivers. (no issues until here) But after restarting the system, I found this issues:
    1. I have to put the bios in legacy mode for system to boot. Otherwise it gives me a "no operating system found" message. Is there any way to make a proper installation for the system to boot in UEFI and LEGACY?
    2. System update didn't install thinkvantage center. (the program that stays in the taskbar). Should this be installed manually? Or system update should have installed it?
3*. I can not use lenovo driver page of my x120e. In IE it shows me repeatedly the wizard to choose my model, although I enter the correct info there. It starts all over again and again. Tried opera, I can see the drivers page, but I can't browse, or expand none of the sections. (all I can think of this, do I need java for the page to work?)
3*. UPDATE: After installing IE 9, java and flash player, still not working. Opera too. Google Chrome works fine.           What's the matter with IE and OPERA? What component do I need to make IE work with lenovo drivers download page?
Can anyone help me? Never had to deal with these issues.
    Thanks in advance

Who helped you today? Do not forget to thank him.
My hardware: TP x120e 0596-2ru. Windows 7, sp1, 64Bit, English, installed in UEFI mode.

    Hello,
Have you tried wiping the hard disk drive and reinstalling Windows 7 Professional x64 from the factory recovery discs while the BIOS is set to UEFI?  If so, did that work?

hi guys. I just installed windows 8.1 professional on my macbook pro mid 2012. after I installed it and i run windows 8, when Im trying to install the drivers that I've already  downloaded on my flash memory from bootcamp, yet I could not find it  I just found the folders and it is empty. • How Do I Change the Language of Start Menu and Modern Apps After I Installed Windows? Applying Language Pack only Localizes Traditional Applications?

    Howdy,
I installed Windows 10 Technical Preview with original language settings for the US region.
No that I need my Windows localized to Espanol - Spanish.
I type "language' in Cortana, select Add language to this device and click Add a language on the Region & language.
Then I select added language and click Set as primary.
After the restart I see that while Windows Explorer is displayed in Spanish, Start menu is displayed in English (including app sections such as Explore Windows), as well as Modern apps that have retained their English names (such as Mail).
I even set the location to Spain in regional settings (although I didn't like the idea, as I want to browse the US market). To no avail.
How do I change the language of the Start menu and modern apps?
    Thank you.
Well this is the world we live in And these are the hands we're given...

Okay, I ran the in-place upgrade and it worked!
    What I did:
    1. Downloaded and attached Espanol edition of Windows Setup ISO.
    2. Started setup.exe from that ISO.
TIP: If need be, you can downgrade your installation of Windows 10 Enterprise Technical Preview to Windows 10 Pro Technical Preview by changing two registry values, EditionID and ProductName. You may use the following registry file on Windows 10 Enterprise
    Technical Preview:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion]
    "EditionID"="Professional"
    "ProductName"="Windows 10 Pro Technical Preview"
Import these settings into registry and start setup wizard from the Windows 10 Pro Technical Preview setup CD. Voila! Windows will offer upgrade of your current setup of Windows 10 Enterprise Technical Preview to Windows 10 Pro Technical Preview with
saving all your settings and applications!
The only thing that wasn't localized are the new app sections. I still see Explore Windows and Everyday apps. Probably, these UI strings haven't yet been translated.

  • Iphone sync after re-installing windows XP

Hello and thank you in advance for any help. I've searched the community and found similar questions but not exactly what I'm looking for.
My only computer is an old Dell that runs windows XP SP2. I am planning on reformatting the hard drive and re-installing windows once I get this question resolved, ideally today.
I have backed up all of the "my documents" folder to my external drive. That includes the iTunes folder, but I also permanently keep a lot of my iTunes library on the external because my PC's hard drive is very small
I have the new iOS and regularly back up to iCloud
I understand the advice is generally to back up your itunes library.
-How much of the iPhone's data is backed up in that process?
-How do I retrieve that data once I've reformatted?
-What steps do I need to take to make sure that data is retrievable via the external hard drive?
I'm most concerned about all the apps, bookmarks, settings, application data, text messages, etc.
I just want my phone to be normal and able to sync with as little headache as possible.
    Thanks so much!

Being a little more specific and succinct I suppose I could have just said:
What do I need to do before and after a windows reinstall so that I can be able to sync my iPhone again without losing any data or after to reinstall apps, etc?
    Thanks

  • Partitioning HD after having installed Windows XP via Boot Camp

Okay, hope this is the right place and that what follows makes sense. Tech told me to go ahead and use Boot Camp to install XP Pro and that after doing that I could then further partition the hard drive for scratch and file-arrangement purposes.
So I got my Windows in and it works well. But when I go to Disk Utility to make partition(s)--resize, click on the "+" and so on--and then click "Apply," I get this kinda terrifying message that if I go forward I MAY NOT be able to boot into Windows. That sounds ambivalent.
So I didn't go forward for fear of losing access to Windows. But I really need at least a scratch volume for Photoshop 7.0, which I can use only in Windows at the moment. (That's why I installed Windows.)
Now I can't partition? Or can I go ahead? I'm asking before making a mess here. Thanks to any for assistance.

  • How to Get HP Drivers After (DIY) Installing Windows?

Series: How to Re-Install Windows when you don't have the Recovery Discs
Intro: What is an ISO? Why is it used?
Step 1 - Get the ISO - ISO Download Links
Step 2 - Burn the ISO to a DVD or USB
Step 3 - What to do with the ISO DVD/USB? Change the Boot Order
Step 4 - What to do After Windows is Installed? How to Get HP Drivers?
Step 4 - What to do After Windows is Installed? How to get HP Driver?
    Winodws is Installed, Now What?
Once the installation is complete, you'll need to go to your HP Driver Page and download all of your drivers. Your wireless function may not work automatically with a fresh install. You may have to plug an Ethernet cable into the computer and into your router to connect to the internet initially, until you have downloaded your wireless driver.
The best way to use the HP Driver Page, is by putting in your product number ('P/N' found on the HP label on the bottom of the computer) and click Go, rather than the 'Detect my product - Find Now' option. Without an HP Recovery Disc version of Windows, the 'Detect my product' option is not likely to work properly.
Another important note: If you had to go all the way into BIOS and change the Boot Order to the DVD drive (or USB), you'll have to go back into BIOS at your convenience and change the Boot Order back to booting from the internal Hard Drive first. If you used the F9 Boot Order Menu, it only changes the Boot Order temporarily, for that one power on iteration.
If you have any questions, create a new post (How to Create a New Post - Video), copy and paste it's link into a private message to me, and I will respond on your thread

Note down all the file names of the following queries first:
    SELECT NAME FROM V$DATAFILE;
    SELECT NAME FROM V$CONTROLFILE
    SELECT NAME FROM V$TEMPFILE
SELECT VALUE FROM V$PARAMETER WHERE NAME = 'spfile'
If the last query doesn't show any file then copy $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/init<SID>.ora file.
After making the list in sqlplus issue:
    SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATE
And now you can copy all of those files to some other location. Make sure you install same version of OS and Oracle to restore these files. It would be easy for you if you keep the same directory structure after reinstall and place all those files as they were earlier.

  • Re: Qosmio F20-137 - After I installed Windows 7 I got no sound

I have Installed Windows 7 on my Qosmio F20 and all drivers were installed by windows update after I connected to Internet.
I can play musik and videon files in Windows Media player but there is no sound in the inbuilt speakers or if I connect headphones.
If I look on the driver for the sound in devicemanager it says everything is OK. Does anyone know what the problem is?
I have also reinstalled Windows 7 but still same problem.
    Regards,
    Henrik

    > I remeber that I muted/disabled the sound in Windows XP before I isntalled Windows 7
    This could be a problem!
I think you would need to install the Win XP and would need enable the sound again (unmute). After that you could install the Win 7 again.
I found also this Toshiba document:

Maybe it will work for you if not follow the advice above.
