After updating the new ios in my iphone5, i can't use my phone because of the hardware as per the MAC specialist told me.
I am currently using iphone5 and I updated it last Saturday (August 2, 2014) for the new ios. After a day, the problem came out wherein it is automatically turn off then when you open it, command errors are coming out. I tried to restore it using itunes but error is occurred during the restoration. The MAC specialist I consulted suggested me to trade in my phone but unfortunately I don't have any cash for it. Why is it like that, I just updated the new Ios then all of a sudden I can't use my phone at all... I hope Apple Company can help me, its not any misused problems but a hardware or technical one by Apple.
Yes lucky me . If all troubleshooting has been done in Resolve iOS update and restore errors and if you have at least taken it into a store where they could try a restore themselves then that would suggest a hardware fault with the iPhone.
If you are out of warranty then it is correct that they would quote you an out of warranty service fee. From here it would be a matter of trying the steps above and if you have already tried then doing the service when you do have the cash.

I can't use my phone because it won't stop updating
Something popped out telling me I had to download the new version for my Iphone, you know usual stuff. Fine, started loading (you know when the apple sign shows up and there the loading bar underneath) At a point the bar was full, so the phone shutted down and restarted. But when it started the apple sign was still there with the loading bar who stopped almost half way. The thing is that even if i restart it, it won't go away. And nothing is downloading, apparently, because the bar isnt fufilling. Help me please I can't use my phone !

Apps are not being transferred after updating to new iOS
I've read a few posts but nothing explicitly about this issue. I am the original account owner, same computer, iPod has worked with the same apps for over a year until I updated to the new iOS a few days ago.
I recently updated my iPod Touch to the new iOS a few days ago; it transferred all my music, and everything else, except for my apps. I tried Store > Authorize this Computer on my desktop (which reminded me I'm still authorized, oh joy) as well as Settings > Store on my iPod. I'm not sure what I need to do next? Any suggestions would be greatly beneficial! Thanks!Before I updated to iOS 5.0.1, I was given 3 options "Download and Update", "Download", "Cancel" (or whatever). I chose to just download, without installing it, which would allow me to back-up all the data from my iPod to my desktop. I presume that path wasn't available if someone selected "Download and Update" immediately which informed me that it would erase all data without actually backing up before it installed. I'd have to assume at that point when your apps were re-installed after your update, it would still keep the previously saved sync data from the last time you plugged into your computer. I'm not sure if that was the case for you, but I never signed in to Game Center until now so I'm not sure how that works. This is also considering that iCloud was just introduced to mobile devices. I've looked on-line and it seems that many people are having the same problems. No, it's not my Internet connection or my computer. This is a software problem as my phone was working fine before it made me update and I've heard the same story over and over again. The update to ios5 messed up my phone. Now Apple should fix it. I can't restore my phone, just gets to the end then quits. It says " iTunes recognizes a phone in recovery mode" so it is being detected. I've tried this on many different computers, at different locations, through a wireless connection and connected directly. Please fix. This happened in Oct or Nov, 2011 when the ios5 update came out.
Sounds like your phone was previously jailbroken.

I recently updated to Lion and now my external CD/DVD player (a samsung SE-S084D) won't work. I can't burn CDs and iTunes says no cd software is installed. The drive worked like a top in all flavors of 10.6. Anyone know what do to? The drivers for the drive--which I didn't need in 10.6--are all .exe files, so I'm out of luck there.
Thanks!No. The only way I finally got it to work was after about 5 restarts. I've never seen iTunes flip out like that before.

I am now reconnected throught wi-fi... and I cannot seem to continue my upate... my iphone cannot be used as it indicates to connect to itunes... and itunes does not recognize my iphone!!!
Try:
- Powering off and then back on your router.
- The Additional Information paragraph of
iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers

- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem -

I hope someone can help me. My phone crashed after updating it to IOS 8.3. I can't use it cause its stucked on the start up menu, the apple logo with black background. Even when I restart my phone, it is still stuck on the start up menu, the black background with apple logo in the middle.Slone,
I finally decided to turn this annoyance into an opportunity. After a lot of experimenting I found that my iPad was just fine under 7.1 if I simply restored it as new. I have a lot of time on my hands and I had 1424 apps on my iPad! This is why every attempt to restore took so long.
I decided to restore as new, spend a day restoring the apps I really used. Doing so gave me a quick iPad with only bout a quarter of the storage used.
Granted it was a pain in the arse, but I wrote it off as in the old days when you had to do this with windows 95 just to keep a stable system.
I DO have some data in a few files of the now unused backup but a quick google search finds a couple Mac programs out there that will allow you go extract audio recordings, app data files etc. from the backup. I'll do that someday if I even miss the files I've probably forgotten that are there.
Anyway, there was nothing wrong with my hardware. I think there were just some troublesome setup items that 7.1 didn't like. Once set up as new, the ipad was fine.

I work for an Enterprise with around 30 devices so far, 5 of them have been upgraded to iOS 5.01 and we are having this issue, the steps below are appearing, these are both on iphone and ipad 2's with exchange 2003:-
- Exchange Calendars not sync'ing, but Yahoo account working fine.
- Create an appointment on the ipad / iphone and this sync's with Exchange.
- Close the Calendar and re-open the appointment disappears, but stay's within Exchange.
- Meetings created within the Exchange Calendar do not synch with the iphone / ipad.
This is starting to cause a lot of issues.

When I click on the button to download the new IOS software, I get a message saying that all the items on my iTouch will be removed. Will I have to reload everything after updating the software? Because I had to have my hard drive wiped a while back, I have items on my iTouch that are not in my iTunes. Is there a way to copy everything on the iTouch into iTunes, if necessary, before I load the new software?
It is possible to transfer purchases from your iPod back into iTunes before updating the OS. If you had any CDs from your personal collection, these you have to put back into iTunes manually. Hope this helps you & good luck!

Are you sharing your apple id? You can check if your email is included within the message settings in "settings >> messages >> send and receive" and remove it from that list on the other phones.
